I loved it but it was stressful

I have watched this a long time ago, but I realized I haven't made a review yet. I rewatched it recently, coincidentally. I love this couple very much. I relate to both of them in many ways. This is one of those cat and dog BLs and I was very happy with it. But it took me some time to find that happiness since every episode Dao cries because Kluea can't communicate. I love Kluea, but the guy didn't help himself nor Daonuea. It was a little frustrating, but I could take it. My BIG problem was that Typhoon guy. He was so annoying and his face made me angry. He wouldn't leave Dao alone and it got me so mad, the way he would pry into Dao and Kluea's business being so nosy and not giving up like, dude, get a hint. Dao got me stressed when he decide to "date" Typhoon too. I'm glad it's over and they're happy now being the cutest in Our Skyy 2.

A SIMPLE YET SWEET DRAMA

So first of all, many people are unhappy cause its really simple and very mediocre but personally I liked it a lot. I like the simplicity itself.

There was no toxicity, no fake friends, no jealous and crazy ex/second lead. It was very sweet and light-hearted. It wasn't a complicated mess and they finished the drama in a clean manner. No unfinished ending. Really enjoyed it.

The chemistry between the main leads was lit. The actors were a nice choice. For me, who has experienced unrequited love, it was actually pretty accurate. Ngl it made me emotional in some places.

If you are looking for something simple, sweet and refreshing, this is for you. But if you are more into intense stuff, this is not your cup of tea.

I'm making this short since I wouldn't wanna take up much of your time. Y'all please give this drama a chance. From my opinion you shouldn't be eading these reviews rn and should check out the drama for yourself cause at the end, other people's opinions dont matter much. I have understood this really late and have missed many great dramas. Soooo yeah. Thats all. Bye fellas.

If y'all want, I can recommend y'all some nice bl dramas cause I think I have watch A LOT of bl dramas.

A light easy to watch coming of age romance

The core of this show is two young teenage university freshman dealing with their respective struggles that stems from previous trauma and how their actions and words or lack thereof affect other people. I found the conflicts that arose very understandable and true to character and importantly it's dealt with within the narrative for character growth. Daonuea is the art student and extrovert of the two whose cuteness and charm stems from how friendly he is and gets along with everyone. Kluen who plays sports is the introvert and the show progresses, he's shown to genuinely not understand certain kinds of social communication. He reads as socially awkward but is not outwardly noticeable because he's handsome and surrounded by outgoing people, so they just assume he's cool. The story starts off with Daonuea whose primary experience with love is being seemingly rejected by Kluen so he wants to avoid him. I really like that he easily becomes himself around Kluen once it's clear their scholastic activities keep them together for a while. This leads him to not want to hurt others as he himself was hurt so this causes complications when he has to deal with rejecting his own suitors. Kluen does everything he can to spend time with Daonuea coming from the school of thought of actions speak louder than words though he learns that words is also important to speak along with the actions. I quite enjoy the acting of Dunk who plays Daonuea. It's his first role and quite close to his real life personality. He's very natural and effervescent on camera. Joong who plays Kluen does well in communicating with his eyes and little detailed actions. The music is pleasant and the show overall is easy to watch.

A Romantic Story with Couple Goals!!

If you're looking for a series that has lots of romance with less dramatic moments, this is the series for you.
It's really a feel good drama that leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside after finishing the series.
I think we all need a lover like Khabkluen or Daonuea after watching this series.

•❅✧❅✦ Story •❅✧❅✦

Daonuea has been crushing on Khabkluen since freshman year in highschool. However, it's a one-sided love on his end as Khabkluen has a girlfriend he is very committed to. After leaving to study abroad for his senior year of highscool, he returns to Thailand to start college. On the first day of the Star and Moon Competition Practice, Doanuea is reunited with Khabkluen. Daonuea hasn't really gotten over his crush, but has to room with Khabkluen during the duration of the competition. As they room together, Daonuea and Khabkluen start to getting closer together. Khabkluen is and has always been the epitome of kindness, that Daonuea can't stop his feelings even though he knows Khabkluen has a girlfriend... Or does he?

One of the best things about this series is the "Will they? Won't they?" tug of war that Daonuea and Khabkluen have throughout the series. It's not so dramatic and unrealistic that sometimes you end up shouting "Just kiss already!" at the screen. It's a light-hearted and romantic series, so there isn't any frustration while watching. Just pure romance.

•❅✧❅✦ Characters •❅✧❅✦

Daonuea x Khabkluen

Daonuea is you typical normal guy. He's adorable and funny. There isn't anything really special about him aside from his undying loyalty to Khabkluen, so there isn't much to comment on him aside from gushing over his cuteness.

However, Khabkluen, on the otherhand, is a little more stereotypical with the hot and kind popular kid troupe going for him. He also falls into the anti-social, can't really saying my feelings well, troupe that the male leads tend to have. However, something that makes Khabkluen different from the others is his his undying loyalty to Daonuea before and after their love confession. Also, his personality isn't as masculine as you would expect those types of leads to be. You can really see Khabkluen's real self after he starts dating Daonuea and I love the 180 shift in how he acts around Daonuea and other people.

On a side note, the actors who protray Daonuea and Khabkluen have so much chemistry. If someone told me they were a real couple, I wouldn't be surprised. Nothing looked fake or awkward. These two need to have more acting work, be it together or separate, because they are really great actors. I honestly would like to see them do something more dramatic just because I really think they are amazing and really need the opportunity to prove themselves as great actors.

•❅✧❅✦ Overall •❅✧❅✦

The series was amazing. I feel in love with Daonuea and Khabkluen from episode one and I never got bored as the series progressed. If you are looking for a drama-filled series, this probably isn't for you. But if you are looking for a feel-good romantic series then this is a must watch!

stayed in my mind

I really liked this very formulaic drama - Thai college students go through love angst due to inability to express honestly.
Dunk Natachai Boonprasert/Dao Nuea is in his first starring role and does an excellent job of being appealingly cute and naive.
Joong Archen Aydin/Khab Khluen has a more nuanced role. He has been apparently dating Gai since high school and this effectively means no one else has pursued him except for Nuea's ongoing unrequited feelings. As the plot unfolds we get to realise he has zero experience of love and his 'girlfriend' relationship was really as a close family friend.

When our two main leads meet up again Nuea is embarrassed by his past confession so cuts off any attempt by Khluen to start anything. He remains in the 'safer' unrequited mode pining for his love and any attempts by Khluen are seen as not genuine.
We all realise that had Khluen cleared up the non girlfriend issue there would have been more chance to show us how sweet they are together, unfortunately the writers persisted with the misunderstandings for way too long thus dragging down the momentum.

Lots of negative comments about the non C kiss when Khluen is drunk but I think it is in character with this shy person who is hopeless at words and just has everything going on internally. He admits he is dumb at love and this is true in both senses of not knowing and unable to speak.

His mother plays a lovely role and we can tell that she has twigged his feelings for Nuea and tries to encourage him to not keep everything inside himself. He also has supportive friends as does Nuea. Nuea's brother, Mek Jirakit Thawornwong/Khua Fah is the more obviously experienced actor and has a strong screen presence.

Overall I enjoyed this drama and am looking forward to the sequel with Fah as the ML.

"Star and Sky: Star in My Mind" – A Heartfelt Journey of Young Love and Self-Discovery

Plot Summary:
"Star and Sky: Star in My Mind" is a Thai BL drama that explores the intricate relationship between two young men, Daonuea and Khabkluen. The story begins with Daonuea, who has been harboring a secret crush on Khabkluen since high school. When they reunite in university, Daonuea decides to confess his feelings, setting off a series of events that challenge both characters to confront their emotions and navigate the complexities of their relationship.

Main Characters and Actors:

Daonuea (played by [Actor's Name]): Daonuea is a sensitive and artistic student whose courage to confess his feelings drives the plot. His character's emotional depth and vulnerability are key elements of the story.

Khabkluen (played by [Actor's Name]): Khabkluen is charismatic and confident, yet his interactions with Daonuea reveal a more introspective side. His journey of understanding his own feelings forms a crucial part of the narrative.
Overall Impression:

"Star and Sky: Star in My Mind" is a heartwarming and engaging drama that beautifully captures the essence of young love and self-discovery. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, making their evolving relationship both believable and compelling. The series successfully blends romance with moments of humor and drama, creating a well-rounded viewing experience.

What I Liked:

Acting: The performances by the lead actors are commendable. They bring authenticity and nuance to their roles, making the characters' journey emotionally resonant.

Storyline: The plot is thoughtfully crafted, with a good balance of romance and personal growth. It keeps viewers invested in the characters' journeys and their evolving relationship.

Cinematography: The visual presentation is beautiful, with carefully composed scenes that enhance the storytelling. The use of color and lighting adds a layer of emotional depth to the drama.

Music: The soundtrack is well-chosen, enhancing key moments and adding to the overall emotional impact of the series.

Areas for Improvement:
Pacing: Some episodes might feel slow-paced, particularly in the middle of the series. A more consistent pacing could help maintain viewer engagement throughout.

Supporting Characters: While the main characters are well-developed, a deeper exploration of the supporting characters could add more depth to the story.

Recommendation:
"Star and Sky: Star in My Mind" is a must-watch for fans of the BL genre and anyone who enjoys a heartfelt romance. The drama excels in its portrayal of the characters' emotional journeys and the complexities of their relationship. Its strengths lie in strong performances, a compelling storyline, and beautiful cinematography, making it a highly recommended series for those looking for a touching and well-crafted love story.

Though predictable, this is one of the better BLs

Maybe I'm a sucker for a predictable, cute story line, but I was just grateful this actually had a reasonable plot and didn't involve dysfunctional relationships. The actors did very well. The story was cute and believable. The relationships felt realistic and I genuinely wanted the characters to be happy. Yes, there was the misunderstanding each other trope and it did go a bit far, but compared to some recent BLs I have been watching, I found this incredibly refreshing and heartwarming. I am already invested in the spin off "Sky In Your Heart," sight unseen. The OST was good, though nothing outstanding, it hit all the right notes. It's a love story, start to finish, so their isn't much for a deeper plot, but it's cute and fluffy.

Bottom line: If you're in the mood for a cute love story with some heartfelt moments that will make you cry (or smile dreamily), this is the story you are looking for. As a side note, this show doesn't veer off into porn territory, so it's appropriate for a younger audience, which will be a plus for some BL fans.

Stop wanting the world!

I’ve seen so many bad reviews online, especially Tiktok! This might not be anything new and exciting like KP but it’s cute! It is full of tropes so what?! Personally, I bloody love a trope! Almost kisses, miscommunication, secret love, token hetero girl, nice guy 2nd love interest, jealousy leading to declarations! I will eat that up ALL.DAY.LONG

This isn’t something new or particularly special or exciting, but it’s 8 episodes long and I didn’t regret watching it like some of the super popular shows. It was a comforting way to spend Sunday.

Cute mess

My expectations weren't high due to reviews but I must say this is one of the best series where all plot is focused on romance. Is it messy? Yes, but I enjoyed it.
I think as long as you won't have relationship smiliar to Kluen and Dao then you might see it as stupid but let's be honest; for some people feelings are hard to understand and many sucks at communiation. I can relate to Kluen tbh. Sometimes we can love someone but hurt them because we don't know how to deal with our own feelings.
I didn't enjoyed any BL like this for a long time. JoongDunk absolutely stole my heart, especially Joong. In Dunk case; you can see in hidden agenda and THK how he improved since this series.

The series isn't perfect, but more than enough to satisfy my liking

I've read lots of reviews saying how this series is the "typical Thai BL" and yes it is.
However, that doesn't automatically mean it's bad.

Lately, I've been watching some heavy on heart and filled with drama kind of shows, so because of that, it was really refreshing for me personally to come across this light-hearted and sweet mini series, taking me back to the times, bringing me back the feeling I got when I first started watching romance dramas. The chemistry between the main leads isn't something to joke about and believe it or not it made me giggle like an absolute shameless idiot, but I don't regret that cus it was worth all that.

On the other hand, I do understand why some people might not think the same as me; as there were some scenes that could've definitely been improved and have been executed in a better manner. As for the plot it really was just a simple one, which didn't seem to be many peoples cup of tea. And neither was it mine, but I thought maybe I should give the series a go; making that the best decision I have done in a while.

I really like this series, the story is light, reminiscent of the love story of young people when they were still in school, full of love flowers, not far from the reality of life. Watching the BL series doesn't always have to have as many conflicts as other series. This series is also played by actors with good acting. especially dunk as the main character acted well even though this is the first series for Dunk. Joong and Dunk's chemistry is also very good, they match each other well. this series is good because it is supported by a good song ost and of course i am addicted to hearing the ost. watching every episode makes my heart full of love. wish it had a special episode or made a movie

The North Star never changes its spot.

This has been an emotional rollercoaster for me. From fluffy moments to heartbreaking scenes, Star in my Mind uses a simple trope to make it extraordinary series. Joong's comeback and Dunk's debut into this beautiful drama has seriously raised it's standard. Both the OSTS were gorgeous, and its definitely high in my re-watch list. This soft and fluff is exactly what I wanted and it was delivered beautifully. Can't wait to see how Fah's story would play out in Sky in your heart. Give this a try. Trust me, you won't regret it
