Both dramas have an overall darer vibe but has some light moments here and there.

Both revolve around adults who attempt to use kids for their own interests and then end up growing attached to them.

Similar dynamic between the 2 leads that is the father-daughter relationship. Though Oh my Geum Bi is a bit more depressing but has its fun bits here and there

Both Psychopath Diary and The Kidnapping Day are crime dramas with dark comedy that feature Park Sung Hoon.

they're completely different but the male lead in seobok and the female lead in the kidnapping day they are both treated like experimental subjects and they both need love and sympathy ..

Found family is one of my favorite drama genres. Both of these dramas are some of my favorite found family kdramas, I would highly recommend both. Both dramas have thriller and action elements.

The plot is similar in terms of that the kidnapper is not a kidnapper, in Mother kidnapper took the child for her safety and later they became mother and daughter and in this series, kidnapper took the child to extort money, but the child and kidnapper becomes friend and share strong relationship over the period of their time together. While police chases them, the child lead the kidnapper instead kidnapper.

The similarity between the drama Escape (2025) and The Kidnapping Day (2023) is that the kidnapping victims end up trusting their kidnappers more, even becoming close friends. Eventually, they work together, forming a solid team built on mutual trust. In addition, the kidnappers actually end up protecting their hostages.

Jeong Jin Man is like Kim Myung Joon but smarter and Jian is like Choi Ro Hee. They share a similar dynamic as those 2 but more serious.

Both dramas focus on “the perfect child”, adults become monsters trying to reproduce genius kids and they don’t care for the casualties
Both also have one kind adult that “kidnaps” the kids to save them

This is an adaptation (or interpretation) of the Korean drama Kidnapping Day and follows the same plot. Although there are slight changes, they are both really good
