Inconsistency in character's personality.
I've been enjoying this drama with a captivating storyline. Each episode begins with a brief, engaging flashback that showcases the characters' friendship, values, and past antics. The series excels at portraying an interesting friendship among four distinct individuals who support each other, despite their differences. As an audience, I was initially drawn to the female lead's determination in pursuing her love interest, Jiancheng. Despite his indifference, she put in considerable effort to win his affection, which helped shape our perception of her character. Which was firm willed, determined and person who is ready to fight for her love.
However, the later development of her relationship with Ye Han revealed a different side of her personality. She became overly sensitive and indecisive, ultimately ending the relationship due to a misunderstanding. This portrayal contrasted sharply with her earlier characterization, as she seemed to give up on love easily or failed to appreciate its value.
It's disappointing to see such a drastic change in the female lead's character, We as a audience make a guess of character's personality based on what we watch, and all of sudden the female lead starts to things which is inconsistent with her personality. I hope the writers address this inconsistency in future work. A more nuanced and coherent character arc would significantly enhance the viewing experience for the audience.

This drama is GOLD.....definitely worth a watch!
This drama has unfolded into a pleasant surprise...... and I have found it funny and refreshing, with its interesting story-telling style. Every alternate episode begins with a prelude of an interview with Ye Han's character (played by Hu Yi Tian), as he reminisces about his longtime friendship and days of youth with his buddies. It's heartwarming to watch the friendship of the 4 guys with their vulnerability and honesty in relationships. Many funny moments as well, when they realised that no matter how old they get, they can still act like boys and be in denial about their age! I like all the actors, except for the actress playing Xu Jialin......she looks too immature for the role and incompatible with her screen boyfriend. Good character development and storyline overall. Was this review helpful to you?

Great Mature Series
Great mature drama, with Hu Yitian & Liang Jie's excellent chemistry, capturing friendships through to adulthood. Never giving up and maintaining their own personalities. Can't believe it took 20 episodes for the leads to get toegther. The FL shouldn't of been so undesicive about everything, all the time. After everything endured by lead couple the marriage proposal was awful. The SFL & SMLs relationship made me want to smack her, he couldn't have been more giving and she was just awful. Don't even get me started on the TFL, why did she need to act like a elementary school girl through the whole series? It was awful, all I wanted to do was cringe at every scene she was in. Her baby voice and tantrums made me want to fast foward. Can't believe she was the one to get married and to the TML who she called brother, eww, her stalking him was just creepy and immature. The TML I Iiked, but his story should've been better. I've lost a spouse I get it, but to end up with the baby talking child I didn't get. Just an awful scenario. The 4th couple was just a hot mess. Dominant, overbearing wife, her attitude towards her husband was just terrible and after divorcing only wanted to be married again because she got pregnant and basically didn't want to be a single mom and she knew he'd take care of the kid. Just a awful storyline for them.
Not the ending I was expecting, it was to rushed and the ML & FL should've married, especially after 40 episodes. The best part were the 4 men's friendships to each other and their will to sustain it.

A must-watch drama series!
I would highly recommend this drama a must - watch, although it's a bit lengthy and the first episodes are quite agitating but this drama is wholesome! This is a realistic one which it portrays true to life events that happens basically in love. If you pay attention to the storyline itself you'd truly appreciate how beautiful this drama is. Moreover, I personally like the overall of this drama, it shows strong relationship with friends, loyalty, and it has great humor too. Besides the events that occurred in the drama happens in real life, it's not just butterflies in the belly and all those beautiful moments but we also experience the downside of love, frustrations, pain, and heartache. The casts are good and perfectly match. I super love it and you should watch it too, just be patient with the plot. LolWas this review helpful to you?

Drop Your Prejudice At The Door
I say to drop your prejudice at the door because of the negative comments and reviews that some have expressed as being disappointing because it didn’t meat their expectations in the way the lead couples story ended. The story was good - not always written well, and not always focused on the title, but it was decent.
I was hoping for a drama that was focused more on the men’s perception of love, but a lot of time was spent on the females themselves. Hu Yitisn’s character had a beautiful introduction and background details to the story and each little clip was very eloquent and touching. His character was that of the Editir in Chief for a paper magazine, and he portrayed this role of a quirky, detail oriented creative perfectly. He was wise, comforting yet straightforward, and balanced that out with the playfulness of being as he said early on, an adult man with the attitude of a teenager (osraphrased).
The FL was bubbly, innocent, very quick tempered and incredibly stubborn to the point of hurting the ML. She worried and ruminated on assumptions she made in regards to the ML rather than speaking to him directly. She gave everyone opportunities to explain and listened to them and judged wisely - yet when it came to the ML she jumped to conclusions and judgements faster than a kangaroo fleeing predators in the wild. I will give her credit, that once she got the stupid out of her thoughts she was able to see the truth.
Her character was frustrating and very selfabsorbed. Yet she was also capable of great compassion and warmth. I think most of her issues stemmed from overthinking and a low self esteem. So low that she kept everyone at arms length and tried to shoulder everything herself.
The 2FL/ML were initially odd. Tgey were the typical get physical first then get to know each other couple with a poor FL background and a rich 2nd gen ML whose mother that could not speak quietly or politely. She was a bully with a bank account and social status that tried to drive them apart. The ML had incredible control of being able to put his emotions of the role not only on his face, but his eyes as well.
The 2nd FL was annoying to me at first, even when her background came out she held people with money in a box assuming the 2ML was incapable of bringing her happiness or loving her long term.
The 3rd couple (husband and wife) were a mix of toxic soup. The husband was a notorious flirt, and the wife was a dominating distrustful person that only cared about her goals while holding her husband as an emotional hostage to her demands. She was constantly pushing her expectations, beating him with her suspicious theories and manipulating his friends into reporting things to her. Unfortunately, she figured out her mistakes after their divorce and even though she initially changed her behavior, little peeks of her attitude was returning.
The fourth couple ended up getting a LOT of screen time - almost to the point of leaving the Fml/fl very little time to resolve their breakup into a happy ending.
The ‘noble’ detachment of the 4ml from the 4fl was understandable - he battled feeling like he was betraying his late wife, his own feelings, and being manipulated by the 2ML and the girls mother (who is also the 2ML’s mother.
The 4fl was an annoying creature. Self-centered, headstrong, manipulative, crafty and downright aggressive in her pursuit of the 4mL at times. Her character was w remedy immature and very very spoiled. She could be very mature and handle work tasks professionally and quickly, but then turn into a whiney princess having a temper tantrum in a bar with a bottle of spirits the next. Her whiney voice when she was in princess mode was beyond annoying.
The 4ml was the stoic, self absorbed grieving husband of a woman who had passed way years ago. He was a lawyer and very capable of being tough and decisive within a case he had, but had no backbone to stand up on his own behalf. He was afraid of another relationship that might end in separation, afraid of his friend, the 2ml) ending their friendship, and refused to move on in a healthy way from his wife’s passing. So instead of facing things head on, he ‘nobly’ chose to push the 4fl away. I really hate that trope… its over used and not noble at all. In fact, it is exceedingly selfish and inconsiderate.
Tge appearance of the 1ML ex-girlfriend and her attempt to separate the leads was annoying but necessary. The ML couldn’t proceed into a relationship with the 1fl without removing tge emotional trauma left in his ex. I found it good that once they saw her at her exhibit, she was never heard from / seen again, and was a good shadow of how much influence she had in the ML’s heart after that.
Now…HYT was excellent in this role. He was able to show the depth of emotion he needed with facial expressions that mirrored the pain and happiness in his eyes. He seems to have matured a great deal and his already commanding screen presence
multiplued exponentially. He did an excellent job in this role. It was refreshing to see him being playful with his friends and the FL, serious at work, a stoic businessman and a loyal friend. He was quite handsome in his suits and yet a simple man who could dress casually and enjoy football game at home, or go to a cyber cafe to play video games with his friends. I am looking to seeing more from him soon.
Tge good news is, that even after all the trials and testing of each couple they ended up well.
And who can be unhappy with an OST sung by Liu Yuning?? icing on the cake!
So even though many people complained about the lack of chemistry between the couples, I found it realistic. A relationship that has gone through ups and downs, difficulty and hardship is very different than that of one soaking in fluffy clouds and candy hearts floating around. People have to learn to let go of their self obsession and learn to work together as a couple, and while this drama didn’t end up as many expected, they all came out with a bond forged together by those trials and into a healthy partnership where mutual support and respect inds them together.
Drop the expectations, and enjoy the story. 😎

This drama is amazing and well made.
This is my first review after making an account in this website. The reason I created this account was because I felt bad that i saw many people not liking this new drama so I decided to give a review myself. Everyone has its own likes and dislikes so every opinion is respected.
Many people find this drama boring, bad and out of chemistry but I think otherwise. I encountered this drama a few months ago but didn't watch because the poster got me uninterested. Later, few days ago I was very bored lately and this drama popped up again so I started watching it.
I read the reviews given and mostly say that the plot is not good which saddens me because this is one of the many dramas I've watched that made me feel so wholesome.
Many people don't like this drama because it's slow paced and mainly because many audience prefers the quick romance dramas in which sometimes its exciting but at some point boring. I like this drama because it is very realistic. There are many dramas that its romance seems to be unrealistic and something that will not happen in real life. This drama shows the reality of a harsh true love. When it comes to love, sometimes it does not comes and goes the way we want. Being in a relationship brings a lot of misunderstandings and lack of communication and that's something that needs to be overcomed in order to continue a relationship. I find this drama very moving. This drama not only portrays funny moments, it also portrays a past that everyone has which is something not easy to let go or forget, the journey of moving on, the insecurities and obstacles in a relationship, the relationship of a huge age gap that happens nowadays but so what, love is not measured by numbers, the freewill to do what you really want and so many concepts that are shown in this drama.
I really enjoyed a lot this drama and I would really recommend this drama to be watched. I like these types of dramas, there was not only romance but also a true friendship.

Definitely worth watching
While not award-winning, this drama was enjoyable. Despite its shallow plot, the male lead's acting, sweet romance, and music kept me engaged. Additionally, the chemistry between the characters added depth. Overall, it effectively satisfied my entertainment cravings. Was this review helpful to you?

Copy of gentleman's dignity
Copy of gentleman's dignity with overblown cliche and drama. I loved gentleman's dignity Korean drama. When i first thought it was different story, but they only good scene from gentleman's dignity and core story. If you want to copy a story at least they should have made the story better and have better acting. They included overblown cliche for the storyWas this review helpful to you?
