A good Republican-Era drama focused more on investigative style.

Deep Lurk is yet another Republican-Era drama about Japanese, Communist, and the National Republic parties in the troubled times of the Japanese invasion of China in the late 30s and early 40s.

I typically don't like this genre, but this drama was well-made. Its plot focuses on investigation rather than the Japanese invasion, which Cdramas overly make.

There was little to no romance between the main CPs, but Cheng Yi and Ying Er acted well in this drama. They acted better in this drama, especially the emotional parts than in all the other dramas they were in.

It kept you guessing who the real Japanese spy was, but it was also predictable. The ending was not great. I was hoping that the main CP would get together and she would join the communist party with him, but it didn't show. It only shows him.

Synopsis: Set before the Battle of Changsha, this story is about unsung heroes during warfare and follows a man who learns to fight for a greater cause in his journey to find his father's killer. To occupy Changsha, the Japanese resort to using the 'black butler,' a strategic agent lurking in China for 15 years to carry out a long-planned deception. Yun Mu Zhi, a member of the underground party of the Communist Party of China, is killed while investigating the "black butler." Without knowing his father's true identity, his son Yun Hong Shen returns to their hometown of Changsha to track down his father's murderer. His father's friend and comrade reaches out to help him. Yun Hong Shen joins hands with Wen Ye Ming, a young woman impassioned by her sense of patriotism as they fight against innumerable odds. Setting aside his vendetta, Yun Hong Shen engages in a deadly game with Japanese agents to earn his countrymen a chance to win the war.

My Reviews:
1. Good acting from Cheng Yi and Ying Er.
2. The plot is good and keeps you guessing as Yun Hong Shen tries to discover who the real Japanese spy is and who killed his dad.
3. The main CP has little to no romance. It barely shows their romantic connection.
4. Overall, I enjoyed it and gave it a 7.5 rating.

I hated this drama, Vin Zhang is the only good actor in this drama that why I sticked to the end

I like Esther Yu acting better in Moonlight than in this drama. The character she played in this drama was annoying, and the nasal voice didn’t help much. The storyline is so stupid and ridiculous. The drama could have been better if it was 20-24 episodes; instead, it dragged to 30+ episodes. It was too painful to watch, and I hated Esther Yu's character in this drama.

In addition, the script is bad, and the 2nd CP for more screen time than the main CP. 2nd CP's acting is horrible, especially the 2nd ML. Overall, I am disgusted at this drama. It was a waste of my time.

I am giving it a 4.0 rating.

Jing Boran and Seven Tan acted great, but the plot was draggy, boring with stupid ending

Road Home is a modern drama focused on a long lost love of Gui Xiao and Lu Yan Chen during high school when they broke up and rekindled their love 15 years later.

The drama started great, and Jing Boran and Seven Tan acted great. Still, the plot got boring, stupid, repetitive, and very draggy, especially in the last 5 episodes.

The ending in episode 30 was stupid; it replayed their first encounter, which was repeated in previous episodes. I wish the conclusion showed the married of the 2nd CP.

I agree with Duoban's rating. I initially rated it high, but I am downgrading it to 6.0 because it was boring, draggy, and stupid.

If you are into teenage puppy love then it is an okay drama. Predictable with Happy Ending

"When I Fly Towards You" is a 24-episode RomCom about teenage lovers where Su Zai Zai and Zhang Lu Rang met in middle school, befriended each other, and eventually fell in love during their high school/college years.

I watched about 11 episodes, and I found it too boring. I am getting too old to watch the teenage puppy love genre. There is nothing special about the story, and it is very predictable.

I skipped episodes 12 through 20 and only watched the last 4 episodes. I know that they eventually get married and have a happy ending.

It was a mediocre drama, and I give it a 6.0 rating. The acting of the entire ensemble was mediocre as well.

Good story and great acting from the entire ensemble, especially Bai Jing Ting.

Always on the Move is a melodrama about railroad policemen solving crimes on the train and their relationship with the passengers from the 1970s to the present day. It also reviewed the revolution of the railroad industry in China. It is a good drama about the revolving relationship between the Ningyang and the Hacheng community.

The Synopsis:
In the late 1970s, on the steam train from Ningyang to Hacheng, young conductor Wang Xin diligently performed his duties among the bustling passengers. Mistaking the old railway policeman Ma Kui for a fugitive, they began an unlikely mentor-disciple relationship.

From initial dislike to mutual respect, Wang Xin and Ma Kui fought side by side on the front line of railway public security. They tackled issues such as theft, abduction, drug enforcement, patrolling, and combating thefts and robberies, prioritizing every passenger's safety, and selflessly safeguarding the security of trains traveling north and south.

Wang Xin and Ma Kui passed on the torch of railway police across generations, witnessing the development of China's railways from steam locomotives to electric locomotives and then to high-speed trains, seeing the rapid changes in China.

My Reviews:
1. The acting is good for the entire ensemble, especially Bai Jing Ting. I have not seen him in a very emotional scene where he showed his crying. He did a great job in this drama in episode 38, where his father-in-law died (spoiler alert)
2. There is little romance between Bai Jing Ting and Gina Jin's characters. It was implied that there was only one scene where they both kissed; other than that, only a little kissing between the main CP.
3. The drama focused on Wang Xin and Ma Kui's mentor and mentee relationship.
4. The link between the Ningyang and Hacheng communities was interesting and engaging.
5. The drama was slow and a bit long, but I didn't get bored. There are a few funny scenes,

Overall, I enjoy this drama and am giving it an 8.0 rating.

Scriptwriters and director ruined this drama despite good acting from ML.

South Wind Knows is the most anticipated modern drama of the past two years and is finally airing. It is watchable but nothing too exciting.

The first 10-12 episodes were interesting when they were in M Country, but things got boring and slow after they came back to Shanghai. The conflict between the cousins is too weak, and the 2nd CP's acting ability is so bad. They are both one-dimensional actors/actresses with no facial expressions despite their marital problems and when he betrayed his grandfather.

I invested my time, watched 35 episodes, and intend to finish it. However, I am disappointed with the scriptwriters for this drama, especially since it has been anticipated to be aired for a long time.

I gave it 7.0 initially, but I am downgrading it to 5.5 because I think Fu Yun Shen is a weak man. He can't stand up for himself and his love for Zhu Jiu. The overbearing mother is annoying and a bad mom. The actress who played her is good because she did a good job of making audiences hate her.

The last few episodes were so stupid that I am disappointed at wasting my time with this drama. I believe the director and scriptwriters should be fired from making this drama.

I would not recommend you to watch this drama. Boring and main CP has bad onscreen chemistry.

Everyone Loves Me is a Romantic Comedy about a young couple who met online while playing video games. They do not realize that they like each other until they meet in person, and there are many misunderstandings between the main characters before they fall in love.

The synopsis is similar to Love Scenery, which I like much better. This one is terrible. I didn't like Zhou Ye's acting ability, and Lin Yi did not act well in this drama either. Their onscreen chemistry is unbearable. The 2nd CP has a better storyline and onscreen chemistry.

Synopsis: Newly graduated classmates Gu Xun and Qian Ling are reunited when they both find work at a gaming company. The sweet Qian Ling has long held feelings for Gu Xun, so she is devastated when she confesses – only to be cruelly rejected! Gu Xun is in love with a tough-talking, no-nonsense female gamer who goes by the online handle Nuo Mi Xiao Ma Hua. However, Qian Ling and Nuo Mi Xiao Ma Hua are the same person, with the latter taking on a very different personality when she starts gaming!

What will happen when Gu Xun learns the truth about Nuo Mi Xiao Ma Hua's true identity?

My Reviews:
- The storyline was stupid, boring, and immature.
- I don't like Zhou Ye's acting and character. This is the 2nd drama that I watched where she is the FL. The first was "Love Me Love My Voice," but I dropped it after 16 episodes because of the stupid script, and her onscreen chemistry with Tian Jian Ci was not good either.
- The drama would be better if cut to 15-16 episodes. The 24 episodes were too long, with too many repetitive scenes that could be cut.

I would not recommend this drama and give it a 5.5 because of the boring storyline, which is predictable, and the lack of great acting from the entire cast.

Short and binged worthy suspenseful drama to watch, especially the acting skill of ML.

Dear Liar is a short web suspenseful drama about a husband who lies, is manipulative and leaves many broken hearts until he meets his wife, Song Yi Fei.

I first watched Fan Zhi Xin in "My Lethal Man" and thought he did an awesome job and had great potential to be a good actor. He did not disappoint me in Dear Liar.

The actress Qu Meng Ru who played his wife, Song Yi Fei, did a good job, and the supporting cast is also decent.

Each episode is about 10 minutes, and I binged watch the entire drama (27 episodes) in one sitting. I enjoyed it and look forward to Fan Zhi Xin's future dramas.

I am giving it a 7.5 rating.

Too much communism and propaganda - wouldn’t recommend it.

HuTong is an okay drama, and I only enjoyed the first 14 episodes when Zhao Lusi was in it. The remaining 22 episodes were about second and third generations, where the storyline was very much about the same. Tian Zao's daughter and granddaughter worked for the Communist government and cared for the Hutong Community.

The major problem I had with this drama was the propaganda and the constant praise of the communist party. I escaped the communist regime for a better life in the USA, so to hear all the propaganda was annoying because I knew 50% of them were untrue.

I ended up fast-forwarding a lot of propaganda scenes, and in the end, I did not enjoy the drama that much.

I am giving it a 6.0 out of 10, the bulk credited to ZLS acting.

A must watch crime drama about corruption within Jinghai Police Department

Originally I was going to drop "The Knockout" after watching about 4 episodes. I found it boring, but I am glad I stuck with it as the story unfolded.

It showed that An Xi was a good and high-standard moral policeman, who had to walk away from being an investigation cop because of corruption, and too many of his friends were killed and hurt. Eventually, he was transferred to the right team from Linjiang province to help and work with him to eliminate the corruption of Jinghai and its high-ranking major and police officers.

Li Yi Tong did not have much screen time in this drama, but I think it was the best acting job that I have seen from her.

Zhang Song Wen, in my opinion, should win the golden eagle award for his role as Gao Qi Qiang. His acting is superb and carries this drama beautifully, and the entire ensemble is excellent. Everyone from minor to major supporting roles.

As it was revealed, the flow of the story was just right, and the production quality was also good. I can see why Douban gave it such a high rating. It is a 9.0 rating for me as well.

It was a mediocre drama where FL character is annoying.

A Business Proposal is a Kdrama about Shin Ha Ri, a single woman who works for a company where she goes on a blind date to help out her best friend, Jin Young Seo, and meets a workaholic CEO, Kang Tae Moo.

Through many misunderstandings and mishaps, they both eventually fall in love with each other. I did not like the FL character and the actress (Kim Se Jeong) who played her. The actress was not attractive; I think the 2nd FL looks better than the FL.

The FL character is annoying, and the ML character is neither great. The onscreen chemistry between FL and ML (Ahn Hyo Seop) was neither great. The 2nd ML is better; I like the 2nd CP in this drama.

It was a mediocre drama, and I give it a 6.0 rating.

I did not like the plot because it kind of depressing, but the acting was exceptional.

A Time Called You - a Kdrama recommended by a friend, and I fell asleep watching it. So far, I have not enjoyed this drama. It is too slow, and the flow of the story is not engaging me.

The Synopsis: Han Jun Hee's boyfriend, Koo Yeon Jun, died one year ago. She still hasn't gotten over his death and misses him a lot. One day, she time-travels back to 1998 and finds herself as a high school student, Kwon Min Joo. There, she meets high school student Nam Si Heon. She is surprised to see how much Nam Si Heon resembles her late boyfriend, Koo Yeon Jun. Nam Si Heon is outgoing and attractive; girls adore him. His best friend, Jung In Kyu, develops a crush on Kwon Min Joo.

I went back and watched it again, and I didn't like the story that much because it dealt with dark issues with mental health and suicide. The acting was exceptional, especially the actress Jeon Yeo Been, who played both Han Jun Hee & Kwon Min Ju characters.

Overall, I enjoyed the acting of this drama, but not particularly the plot. I give it an 8.0 anyway because the acting was so good.

Good acting but unrealistic story and it is too long

The production quality of this drama is not bad; however, I don't like the storyline of this drama.

Yang Mi's character is a lawyer, but there was no courtroom scene where it showcased her professional skills. The entire premise of this drama was on her professional relationships with co-workers, her boss, and her fake husband (not many scenes between them).

If the focus is on them, then I rather that the drama have more scenes as their characters unfold. However, of all the Xu Kai's dramas that I watched and dropped, I don't think he is a good actor. The only thing that he has going for him is his good look.

Nevertheless, I think he did his best work as an actor in this drama because he used his voice and showed some vulnerability that I did not see in other dramas. A big improvement; Yang Mi's acting in this drama is mediocre, not great.

I am giving it 5.5 ratings out of 10. I think the flow of the drama would be better if it was 30 episodes instead of 40. It became draggy, and the supporting cast did not act well.

Don't waste your time. The story is boring and horny young love with no drama. Acting is mediocre

Amidst the Snowstorm is a romance drama about young lovers who met each other on a snowy winter day in Finland, where the FL was there for a Billiard competition.

The story is so stupid and slow; there is no drama. It is young love. I should have dropped it, but since Wu Lei is playing the ML, I stick with it. I should have dropped it; it was so dumb, and the onscreen chemistry between him and Zhao JinMai was not good.

The Synopsis:
Yin Guo has become a notable athlete and professional billiards player. After receiving an invitation to play in a tournament in Hel, Yin Guo eagerly accepts. Little does she know that what will follow will change her life forever.

Before Yin Guo can even start training for the upcoming competition, an unexpected snowstorm leaves her stranded with Lin Yi Yang, and an instant connection is made. Helped along by her cousin, Yin Guo, and Yi Yang continue to get to know each other better long after the storm subsides. But even as they draw closer, Yin Guo has yet to learn that Yi Yang has a lot of history in professional billiards. A true genius in the sport, Yi Yang once basked in the spotlight of professional billiards fame, but that was long ago.

Inspired by Yin Guo's love of the sport, Yi Yang decides the time is right to return to the world of professional billiards.

My Reviews:
1. I finished Amidst the Snowstorm and was not fond of it much. The story was so boring and slow.
2. No drama between the main CP and the supporting cast was pointless. They were there as fillers, but it was not necessary. It is like "Love Me Love My Voice," which I dropped after 16 episodes.
3. Zhao JinMai acted better in Reset than in this drama. She didn't act well, and her character was annoying.
4. She and Wu Lei have similar facial features, making them look like siblings rather than lovers.
5. Wu Lei's character is so horny that he keeps wanting to kiss her, and she rejects them most of the time. It got so old and repetitive, and it was no longer cute.
6. I watched as background noise while doing my chores. I didn't pay much attention to it because it was so dull. It would have been better if it finished in 20-24 episodes instead of 30.

Overall, it was very boring, where I walked away doing chores or FF it. I give it a 5.0 rating. This type of story should not be made into drama. It was all about eating and hanging out with no substance.

Best Xian Xia/Wu Xia drama with great story and acting from lead actors and actresses.

"Lost You Forever" is a two-part Xian Xia/Wu Xia drama. The first part has 39 episodes, and the second has 21 episodes with 60 episodes.

The story has many immortal and mythology characters that were confusing at first. Still, thanks to a Youtuber's in-depth story explanation, it is more interesting.

The Synopsis: In ancient times, humans mixed with deities and demons; the world consisted of Chenrong, Xiyan, and Haoling. Wandering in Dahuang, Jiu Yao from Haoling lost her identity and appearance. She settled in Qingshui Town and was renamed Wen Xiao Liu. The Prince Cang Xuan of Xiyan was Xiao Liu's cousin. To find Xiao Liu, he traveled around Dahuang and arrived in Qingshui Town. In Qingshui Town, Xiao Liu saves Tushan Jing from danger and falls in love with him. Xiang Liu and Xiao Liu appreciated each other and became confidants. After twists and turns, Cang Xuan and Xiao Liu eventually recognized each other. After recovering her identity, Xiao Liu helped Cang Xuan bring the whole world under his rule and retired from the rivers and lakes. The thoughtless man puts all his energy into governing the country because he knows that as long as the world is at peace, his little boy will be able to be happy and healthy.

The acting of the entire ensemble was excellent, especially the 4 main leads (Yang Zi, Zhang Wan Yi, Deng Wei, and Tan Jian Ci)

Xiao Yao has complex and complicated relationships with each male lead (Cang Xuan, Tushan Jing, and Xiang Liu). To make things more complicated, they are in love with her, but she only has a heart for Tushan Jing.

The script is rich and good, with complex characters, politics, and abusive and dysfunctional relationships. This drama not only has good acting, but it also has good music (OST) and special effects. It is also very colorful, for some scenes that were pleasant to watch. This is the best acting that I have seen from Yang Zi. Deng Wei did a good job too, and his character in this drama is better than in "Til the End of the Moon."

Overall, I really enjoy this drama and give it an 8.5 rating. I can't wait for part two to broadcast.
