Highly recommended!!!!!
Talk about CINEMATOGRAPHY!!! Werner du Plessis and Inu Baek bravo 👏🏽 I hardly give out 10 out of 10 reviews but this series I love without a doubt. I rewatched it once before the last two episodes then I rewatched it again once it was finished. DEFINITELY staying on my watchlist on Viki for a long time. The chemistry that Im Ji Sub who is cast as Jaewon and Oh Jun Taek who is cast as Ji hyun was chef kiss. The leads felted so realistic and natural. The prolong touches and glances. The tension between them was phenomenal. The supporting actors are amazing. Ja won is truly a complex character. Ji hyun is timid but fights for what he wants.
The screenwriting and directing was raw, detailed and captivating. The soundtrack I love. The writers did a great job about the discussions of mental health. You really don’t see that in BL. Well done with the casting and production.
I can't believe it's over. I want a season 2 but you know sometimes a season 2 doesn't match up with season 1. I don't want that with this series. In all honestly if this series does have a season 2 I'm confident it will be great.

The chemistry is the best part of the whole show
I have a lot of things to say to this drama. Firstly, their chemistry is on fire 🔥 The way they look at eachother, their subtle gazes, the kiss 💋 anddd jaewon is soo cute. The GOOD side characters I liked. Aeri, Joon pyo, surfing club president etc. I just feel like during some scenes Aeri and Joon Pyo kinda icked me out a bit? Like when mocking the drag person after the presentation. And when Joon Pyo kinda knows no boundaries during the start. But it's realistic, it just didn't really resonate with me. Surfing club president is sooo sweet. She does her best to liften the mood and all. I was also really impressed with the boss of Jihyun. She gave really good advice and was supportive overall.
Now for the flaws. What in the monstrosity is that pacing? Like lots of things just happened without any context. And alot of things weren't properly addressed or resolved. The colouring weirded me out for a bit during the middle, but after reading the comments it made sense and had depth. The bad characters are so one dimensional. Had a bad arc and disappointing consequences. I feel like the mental health issues of jaewon's are addressed just okay? Idk what to say since I never experienced depression before. Overall good chemistry, bad pacing

A KBL masterpiece.
The story is all about the journey in love of a person being hunted by his past, and a person who's self-conscious. It depicts more than just what a regular melodrama does. From cinematography to acting, they've done it so good! I know for sure that they'll stay in my system for long. They may be my 2nd best KBL after To My Star, but they dethroned Blueming in my list; That's how well-made this series is! I'm hoping that Korean Boys Love industry will be given more & deserving attention as they are receiving much love & attention internationally! Meaning, they have the capability to compete with straight dramas/ korean dramas. To the The Eight Sense team, thank you for bringing this masterpiece to us! We'll never forget your work! Was this review helpful to you?

The cinematography is soo good
I definitely have to say, this drama was well-written, with a decent script, decent acting, and calmingly amazing cinematography. It only took me about ten minutes to realize that this drama was going to be good, and I was not disappointed. The first episodes felt like magic to me. The tension between the characters was something that I haven't seen much in BL or even straight dramas. Even though the kiss in the third episode felt rushed and left me in surprise and true confusion.
The characters were amazingly written, beautifully flawed, and realistic, such that you could probably relate to them.
Jihyun was the character that I personally could relate to the most. A countryside boy who is scared to do a lot of things, especially in a busy, bustling city. Even though I was born in a big city, there are still a lot of things I'm afraid to do in a hustling place like this. He was adorable, sensitive, and emotional, which I adore a lot.
Now, talking about Jaewon, I feel so bad for him. Whatever stupid things he has done, I never feel furious at him because I could understand his actions and fears. I had all the sympathy for him. Life can be extra tough when you have a traumatic old memory haunting you everywhere, but it's fine once you overcome it and start anew, just like he did. After encountering the accident at the beach, he was afraid that he would unintentionally hurt Jihyun just like how he hurt his younger brother. The guilt was eating him up, but it was good for him that he decided to start anew and overcome his fears. It's nice to see character development done right.
Other characters were nice as well, especially the girl Aeri. I genuinely wanted to hug her sometimes; she was a good friend and a cool person. I hope I meet somebody like her. Some characters were annoying, but I guess they did a good job being annoying.
The cinematography was something that you could not ignore, and it shows the second you enter into the drama. Phenomenal cinematography with amazing shots and a visually pleasing aesthetic. There is no doubt that good direction and cinematography can make any film or series even better.
Overall, it was one of the best K-BL dramas I've ever seen because K-BL dramas have never set my standards high, but we definitely having High standard with with this one.

Most beautiful and well-written KBL
The acting, cinematography, pacing, and others, it's an overall kill! It's a must watch drama! I would watch this drama over and over again because of its plot. It also give awareness about our mental health and give a lot of life lesson that would surely touch the heart of its watcher. Also, the dialogue and the expressions of the actors are on-point that it gives justice to the writers. I would recommend this KBL! Overall, "The Eighth Sense" appears to be a promising addition to the Boys Love genre, offering a fresh perspective on realistic romance. Fans of Korean BL dramas and realistic-themed shows may enjoy watching it.Was this review helpful to you?
Refreshing!!
This drama was nearly perfect. It was shot in such a beautiful way that felt really fresh and didn't feel like the typical over-produced kdrama.Jihyun, a college freshman, meets Jaewon by chance one night while working at his part-time job. The two continue to cross paths, and Jihyun joins the surfing club in order to get closer to Jaewon. As the two begin to spend more time together, their relationship grows as they navigate hardships.
The interactions between the characters in this felt so much more real than most kdramas. The conversations have awkward silences, they're nervous on first dates, etc. and it's super enjoyable to watch. I was super worried that this would end on a sad note, but was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one, start to finish. There was a bit of a lull in the later episodes where you just want them to solve their problems and be happy, but it's never overly frustrating. The colors, the music, and the shots were all beautifully done. 100% worth the watch.

Jihyun and Jaewon are each others’ safe spaces. Everytime they are together you can sense a huge weight lifted off of Jaewon’s shoulders. And Jihyun was such a menace towards the end, I loved it!
Acting, directing, music, everything was A+. I especially loved the use of lighting and color.
I can’t wait to rewatch a million times and recommend to all of my friends.
