The worst series I’ve ever seen

If ur thinking of watching this garbage shows DONT, it’s a waste of 10 hours and I regret finishing it.
I don’t know how they managed to do it, but Love Syndrome is somehow worse than Unforgotten Night
Having seen the predecessor of this show, Unforgotten Night, I didn’t expect much from Love Syndrome. This series manages to be much much worse than I expected. As an impatient person, I usually hate when episodes of a show are released weekly, but I was thankful for the week of bliss between each of these horrendous episodes.

Story - 1 - What story?!? I was effectively left confused about the plot every episode. The fact that Love Syndrome was the “sequel” to Unforgotten night somehow made the storyline more confusing. It felt like I had missed multiple episodes every time a plot point was introduced. They just introduce characters and make it seem like we, as the viewers, should already know these people and their storylines. So many random events happened in this series, but the plot was pretty much incoherent. Things just seemed to happen for no reason.

Acting/characters - 1 -
From what I’ve heard Frank isn’t a terrible actor. This show really makes me think otherwise. The rest of the acting in this show was hard to sit through as well. Itt was meh as a character, I liked him sometimes but his stupidity and quickness to forgive Day no matter how many times he hurts him made Itt hard to tolerate at times.
Now onto Day . I absolutely hated Day. I kept waiting for him to start actually liking Itt. I never got the feeling that he loved Itt in the slightest. He consistently treated Itt like garbage. I already hated him but the scene where he actually hit Itt for the first time really cemented my hatred for him. He’s so unreasonable in every decision he makes and jealous over the smallest interactions anyone has with Itt. When Day finds out that he beat and raped Itt, he decides that the right thing to do is confront Itt and storm off.
Mac and Nan. I was never given the impression that these two were in love. Nan literally sabotages Mac’s car before a race. Mac didn’t seem to like Nan and Nan didn’t seem to like Mac. I get that they were trying to set up Mac and Nan as a toxic ( in a hot way 🤢) couple but they really failed to set up a convincing relationship.
Surprisingly I liked a single couple, Nik and Neil were my favorite and the only 2 tolerable characters in this sorry excuse of a show. Nik (my favorite character) was the only person who called Day out on his bullshit. Honestly sometimes Nik would just trash on Day for no reason, and I loved it. Nik and Neil were the only couple who seemed like they should end up married. Every other couple fell flat and was hard to watch.
Gear and Night, almost inconsequential. Their relationship would be fine, had Gear not sexually assaulted Night. Gear is constantly getting beat up by Day and Night just kinda lets him get his ass beat. It’s never rly explained how Night and Itt just get over the fact their partners assaulted them.

Music - 4 - the music was hard to notice when so much insanity was happening in the show itself. Nothing rly stood out as good or bad, so I’m just giving it a 4

Rewatch value -1-
Only reasons to rewatch would be to make fun of Day or laugh at Nik making fun of Day. This show is hard to watch all the way through once. It’d be almost impossible for me to sit through this garbage again

Overall - 1 -
Anyone who rated this over a 5 must have been watching a different show than I was. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could see this as a valid piece of media. I’ve never watched a show that was as bad as Love Syndrome lll. Unlike its prequel, Unforgotten Night, which was bad in an entertaining way, Love Syndrome was bad in a way that I’ve never experienced before. Usually I rate shows from a 5 and up because even the worst shows have something entertaining or good about them, but Love Syndrome barely earned a 1 from me. ( the 1 rating is solely for Nik and Neil)

Boys Love? More like Boys Hate lmao

Unfortunately we can't give 0 stars in this website. Everything about this was WRONG. The story was terrible. I don't know who read that novel and decided it was a good idea to make a show of this. The couple is toxic, they hate each other and all I could think during all of the episodes was "why are they even together?". They're dating story started with a rape and then Day just treated Itt poorly and violently the whole time. He lost his memory and he managed to become worse, but they act like before the car crash Day was such a great guy. The screenplay was horrible, like a 13 year old wrote it on wattpad. I really believed in Frank and LongLee's acting, but they did not give us anything. It was clearly badly directed, also they probably had 100 Baht to do everything (the production had a big house and a dream). The theme song is hard to hear (meaning it sucks). The "villain", if you can even call it that, was absolutely pathetic. The real villain in this BL was their relationship. Not everything was bad though, it was pretty good when it ENDED. (The show kind of made me laugh sometimes because it was so bad, I think that could be a positive review)

10/10 for me (look up trigger warnings beforehand though)

Okay where to start.....

▪️First of all, Watch Unforgotten Night B4 you watch this ONLY to get background on (mentioned) Kim and Kamol, Day and Itt are also characters in that one BUT every cast member is changed.

▪️Secondly, I don't really like the Amnesia Troupe like at all BUT this one did it in a way I was able to watch it and enjoy it.

▪️Third, I loved Day's character a lot HOWEVER I felt so bad for Itt because I was in a similar relationship like he was <-- like the part when Day beat the shit out of him and SA'd him because of what he did to Night, but the reason was different for me obvi but it was the same no doubt, but I commend Itt for staying with Day because did change for him.

▪️Lastly, I would love a Day & Itt married life season, I want to see how they navigate being married. I also want to see a spin off of the other 3 couples, I think this is a first time I loved all the side couples.
-I need to see more of (My personal fave) Night & Gear's relationship <--they need there own show
-I need more of Mac & Nan's relationship with them finally accepting each other and talking about getting married
-I need a Nill & Nick wedding

Title: Most Intense Enemies-to-Lovers Ever — Completely Obsessed!

I just finished all 12 episodes of Love Syndrome III in just a couple of days — and let me tell you, I was hooked. I watched the uncut version (1 hour per episode) and I highly recommend everyone do the same. Do not watch the cut version on Viki — it loses so much depth and emotion. The uncut version is raw, powerful, and totally worth every minute.

Honestly, this is the perfect example of why you shouldn’t trust MDL ratings blindly. Despite its low 6.5 rating here, I’m giving this drama a solid 10/10. I wasn’t bored for even a second. Each 1-hour episode flew by. If you love chaos, pain, deep emotional bonds, and intensity — this is it. One of the best, most brutal and emotionally exhausting enemies-to-lovers I’ve seen. And I’ve watched a lot of BLs. Nothing comes close to the level of obsession and emotional whiplash this series delivers.

I watched Love Syndrome III after finishing Unforgotten Night and Love Syndrome: The Beginning — and to be honest, the order doesn’t really matter. But if I could rewatch them, I’d do it in reverse release order:

1. Love Syndrome: The Beginning (2024)
2. Love Syndrome III (2023)
3. Unforgotten Night (2022)

The characters Day and Itt appear in all three, but each version features different actors. My favorite by far is Long (Day) and Frank (Itt) in Love Syndrome III. The chemistry between them is insane — intense eye contact, explosive fights, and passionate moments. Both are tall, gorgeous, and incredibly talented. Their portrayal of Day and Itt is unforgettable.

What I Loved:
The Plot: People say it’s toxic — and yes, it is. But that’s exactly what makes it so addicting. If it wasn’t “toxic,” it would be just another forgettable BL. You have to watch the entire series to fully understand the emotional layers and the reasons behind their actions.

Emotional Shift: At first, Day is endlessly patient with Itt’s childish behavior. But after the accident, the roles reverse. Itt sacrifices everything for Day. The love, pain, and loyalty he shows is heart-wrenching.

Itt’s Devotion: He’s so tired, emotionally wrecked, and all he wants is to be loved back. And still, he never gives up. Even when he’s hurt, even when it’s unfair, he takes care of Day. That is real love.

The Title: It lives up to the name — Love Syndrome. It's not a light romance. It's about obsession, sacrifice, heartbreak, and healing. It’s a full-blown emotional syndrome.

They’ve been through so much together. This was not just a love story — it was a war, a survival, a test of what love can endure. One of the most unforgettable and chaotic BLs I’ve ever watched.

If you're into dark romance, high-stakes emotions, and rollercoaster dynamics, do yourself a favor and dive into Love Syndrome III. You won't regret it.

Love as a syndrome spells D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R!

If Unforgotten Night was so bad that it was actually decent, this one really put out the moves. Set somewhere after Kamol and Kim have become soulmates (I will talk about this later), there are four couples in this show. I will be the first to admit that my sole reason for watching this was Long, who I fell in love with as the despairing Pao in Tin Tem Jai and Frank, who will forever and ever be Sarawat's younger brother and Wat-Tine's biggest shipper Phukong in 2gether The Series. From the few random videos I had seen on Instagram, I could feel a good chemistry betwen the two, so I thought, why not? But very soon after, I can tell you, I was questioning my life choices!
Love Syndrome has nothing on Unforgotten Night(which also I want to forget by the way), except that it is filled with amazingly good looking guys, who all seem to be gay! What is it with any BL? I get that having a straight couple in a BL may look like it's defeating the purpose, but trust me, one good, healthy straight relationship can showcase the beauty of a BL couple also. I would really like to turn director one day, and tell a good story.
Let's start with the story. Well, the lack of one to be more exact. Because there is no story. If there is one, it is absolutely buried under layers of toxicity and abuse that every episode has in abundance. Initially, I felt that the storyline demanded it. But after a while, it just became harder and harder to bear. Although it did seem to lessen in the later episodes, it still didn't feel comfortable enough to merit a complete redemption.
Now let's talk about the couples.
1. DayxItt : 'Lead' couple and seriously too much. Day loses his memory in a freak accident. Retrograde Amnesia is such a tired and tested formula, it's hard to digest. He completely rejects Itt, who has been his boyfriend for three years now. Itt finds ways to remind Day of their past together, but in the meanwhile, Day ends up torturing Itt a lot. The supposed 'healing' process for Day is extremely hard to watch. I hate how Itt is forever trying to appease Day, no matter whose fault it is. It's also very hard to watch the almost negligent behaviour. Day has towards Itt. His own brother, his boss, his friends, everyone tells him that he and Itt are boyfriends, but he refuses to believe anyone!
2. NanxMac : Nan is literally holding Mac captive, in chains, in public on the basis of a video that doesn't even exist in the first place. When Mac comes back to Nan in the last episode, it is probably the best example of the Stockholm Syndrome after Pete going to Vegas in KinnPorche. And that's saying something, because that was absolutely mind-numbing in the first place. And once, just once, I wish Itt had punched the living daylights out of Nan!
3. NeilxNik : Nik is the son of a mistress, always looking for love, in the most abnormal of places, and Neil allows him anything he wants, even though he may be hurting in the process. Nik dances with bare chested male strippers at the most toxic party ever and Neil smiles indulgently on. Save me please!
4. GearxNight : Okay, while they are technically the 2nd couple in the show, I kept them in the last for a reason. They are the least toxic couple in the show. Although, they probably had a really bad start, that is only mentioned as a kind of back story that is not even completely fleshed out, in the current part, they are a solid couple, totally in love, and having excellent communication. They are evidently one force whenever it comes to their friends and family. The love, affection and devotion that this couple shares, is actually quite beautifully portrayed and well showcased, and is probably the one redeeming feature of the entire show.
Last but not the least, KamolxKim. I did not mention them as a couple with their own mention, because it's just guest appearances, but man oh man, what a let-down from Unforgotten Night The Series. Yoon and Ton, while probably not the ultimate couple, at least are pretty cute to look at on screen. But what the hell happened to the casting here? Pran's dad(from Bad Buddy The Series) as Kamol? Seriously? And Kim? What the hell was that? With this casting? There were a myriad other characters, like Ball, Peace and Pee, who did nothing for the story, except add more angst! (I am literally rolling my eyes by this point!)
But I can tell you one absolute redeeming feature from this entire pile of crap that this show was. Day and Itt's wedding. Beautiful Thai customs portrayed wonderfully! I just loved it. Even if you don't want to watch the whole show, watch the last part of the last episode! There was such love and beauty in those last 5 minutes, that it became the saving grace of the show!

No grand OST, pretty forgettable, and 0 rewatch value, says me, who is rewatching just the last 5 minutes of this show as I write this review! :)
But all in all, just as forgettable as its predecessor.

When Abuse Disguises Itself as Love: the Disaster of Love Syndrome III

I grew up watching movies and TV series, falling in love with stories and, over time, with the psychology behind them. I’ve always sought works capable of digging into you, disturbing enough to haunt you even after watching, to unsettle you and keep you awake at night. I’ve survived Cannibal Holocaust twice, and I know how to recognize when a story really wants to hit hard.
Love Syndrome III, however, doesn’t belong to that category. It’s not disturbing, it’s not extreme, it’s not cruel. It’s simply annoying. And it is so because it does something I deeply hate: it takes violence and romanticizes it, turning it into a sick fairytale.

The annoyance I feel towards this series is the same I feel every time a story tries to convince me that “even a psychopath can fall in love if they meet the right person,” or that the victim, sooner or later, will bend until they realize that deep down they feel love for their abuser. These clichés are not only banal: they are dangerous, and Love Syndrome III is a toxic concentrate of them.

---

A necessary premise

I know this isn’t the first part of the story, and that Love Syndrome III is the third chapter of a saga, drawn precisely from the third part of the novel. After finishing it, I looked for information about the story to understand how much was different and what the author’s true intent was. From what I could gather, the author of the novel wanted to portray two equally toxic characters, two damaged individuals destroying each other. There was no “good guy” or “bad guy”: they were two sides of the same toxicity.
The series, on the other hand, chose to turn it all into a romantic melodrama, simplifying the characters and turning the dynamic not into a war between two toxicities, but into the glorification of an abusive relationship disguised as love.

For those wondering: yes, I finished the series. Not because I liked it, but because I don’t like leaving things unfinished. I never leave anything halfway: even after months or years, I always pick up what I started. For me it’s like an open door that has to be closed. And in this case, I also watched it because I trusted the recommendation of someone I know well, who knew very well how much these dynamics annoy me.

---

SPOILER RED ZONE

How the series builds dependency (not love)

The very first “thesis” of the story is stated outright: Day wants Itt to be dependent. Not “loved”: dependent. The text makes it explicit — Day spoils him, conditions him, isolates him so that “you’ll never think of leaving.” It’s behavioral programming, not tenderness. The series shows/tells us that Day takes pride in his method: making sure Itt cannot live without him. This isn’t subtext between the lines: it’s staged and discussed in the early episodes.

On a psychological level, this is conditioning: reinforcements, punishments, emotional blackmail. It’s gaslighting when useful and love bombing when convenient. It’s the deliberate construction of an emotional dependency bond (what audiences often call “Stockholm Syndrome,” though it isn’t a clinical diagnosis).

---

The amnesia device: a moral reset that absolves the abuser

Then comes the accident: Day loses his memory of the last three years, meaning his entire relationship with Itt. Dramaturgically, amnesia works like a clean slate: it erases past responsibilities, justifies new cruel treatment (“I don’t remember you”), and forces the victim to start from zero to “earn back” affection from the one who already devastated them. It’s a narrative device that shifts guilt from the abuser to fate. Yet even without memories, Day continues to react with instinctive jealousy and control: the behavior remains, but the story dresses it as “instinctive love.”

---

The perimeter of control: not only over Itt

Control doesn’t stop at the couple. The series shows Day ordering one of his men (Nan) to “discipline” Mac, Itt’s obsessive/infatuated high school friend. It’s punishment by proxy: Day uses his subordinates to police anyone orbiting Itt. Jealousy becomes management of other people’s lives, and instead of condemning it, the narrative treats it as “romantic” jealousy.

---

The crossover that doesn’t hold: Day in Unforgotten Night vs Love Syndrome III

As if that weren’t enough, the series seems to wink at a connection with Unforgotten Night. In Love Syndrome III, Kamol and Kim appear (though played by different actors), leading many viewers to wonder if the two narrative universes belong to the same world.

And here’s the shock: if the Day of Love Syndrome III were truly the same Day of Unforgotten Night, we’d face an inexplicable psychological leap. In the first context, Day doesn’t come across as hateful or irredeemably toxic, and his relationship isn’t depicted as sick. In the second, he becomes the embodiment of manipulation and romanticized violence.

The result is a narrative short-circuit: two irreconcilable versions of the same character, a discrepancy so abysmal it leaves the viewer more confused than engaged. If the intention really was to create a “BL multiverse,” the attempt only undermines the story’s coherence and credibility further.

---

“It’s not love, it’s acceptance” — staged

What the series calls “love” is, scene after scene, forced acceptance.

Itt endures insults, coldness, and emotional blackmail “because Day doesn’t remember” and because “one day he’ll go back to how he was.”

The script rewards surrender: the more Itt endures, the more the story rewards him with crumbs of tenderness.

Itt’s literal mantra is: “I have to be patient with Day.” Not “I have to care for myself,” not “I deserve respect”: patience towards abuse until it gets reframed as passion.

---

“Redemption” on command

The so-called moral turning point comes because it has to: it’s not psychological growth, it’s a genre requirement. Day apologizes, has “cute” jealous scenes, does protective gestures: the reward mechanics realign the viewer. It’s emotional engineering to normalize dependency. The result: the audience is asked to root for the “tamed bad boy” — without a true path of accountability.

---

Aesthetics that betray the artifice (yes, even the wig)

Visually, the series sabotages itself. The styling choices for Itt (the wig fans had called “horrible” since the promotion) are the perfect symbol: nothing is authentic. It’s hard to engage with trauma if the image reminds you in every frame of its artificiality. And when acting and direction swing between stiff and forced, suspension of disbelief collapses. Even genre-friendly viewers pointed out cringy performances, weak directing, and even a phony final fight.

---

Psychological anatomy (brief but sharp)

Day: behavioral profile of a coercive partner. Instills dependency (spoiling/limiting), uses jealousy and isolation, delegates punishments, then seeks absolution through amnesia/“I’ve suffered too.” It’s the grammar of the romanticized abuser: guilt dissolved in backstory, passion as an excuse.

Itt: written as a functional victim. His agency is sacrificed on the altar of “stay and wait”: he endures, self-blames, trains himself not to react. The series rewards him when he’s most compliant — and that’s the most painful part, because it teaches the audience how you get trapped in the cage.

Social system (family/friends/boss): a framework that validates. The brother believes jealousy will “trigger memories” (so jealousy = cure). The boss in love who visits “normalizes” the idea that even crime can be redeemed through romance. Henchmen carry out punishments “for love of the boss.” It’s a world telling you: endure, because love justifies everything.

---

“Why it hurts” (more than explicit cruelty)

For those who’ve lived through abuse, seeing these mechanisms glorified is a trigger. For those who haven’t, the risk is normalization: jealousy = passion, possession = protection, surrender = proof of love. The series doesn’t put violence on display to condemn it: it translates it into romantic language and feeds it to you as medicine for tender hearts. This, to me, is the gravest irresponsibility.

---

Method note (on the “facts” of the Love Syndrome world)

Within the franchise and fan discussions circulates — and the series winks at — a backstory of kidnapping/rape as the origin of Day/Itt’s bond, an element made even more explicit in the spin-off movie and novel materials. Even when the TV season tones it down or moves it to flashbacks/backstory, the point remains: the core is violent, and the story uses it as a romantic spark.

---

Technique and packaging (for fairness)

Cast & setup: Lee Long Shi (Day) and Frank Thanatsaran (Itt) lead a 2023 drama produced as a 12-episode miniseries, with amnesia as the main engine.

Writing & editing: reinforcement structure (cruelty → affection → jealousy → affection), punitive subplots (Mac/Nan) to reiterate systemic control. A finale that simulates “growth” but in fact rewards surrender.

---

Closing (no discounts)

Love Syndrome III isn’t “raw”: it’s manipulative in the worst way. It uses amnesia to wash away abuse, cross-series fanservice to legitimize universal redemption, and romantic language to teach you that suffering is proof of love.
It’s not love: it’s acceptance, dependency, annihilation.

A handbook of romanticizing abuse disguised as a love story.

It's not that bad!

I am currently at ep 6. I was so hesitant about this serie because of the ratings.
The only thing I could say, it's not a Not me, Manners of death aso.
But I think it should have a place between the 7.5-8 rating bl series.

The story is well...unique I think. This is not a cute, fluffy serie. It's more about a ruined, toxic relationship which reaches it's limits when one of them got into an accident. It's like the reward or outcome of this toxic relationship. But after this happened the other one realizes, how selfish and spoiled he was. After this, they are trying to go back to normal, eventhough the injured one lost all of his memories about their love and he also tured back to his old, more agressive, cold self.

This isn't a series where you are looking forward to the next eps with a rush. I think this is more like a slower serie, with some "action" sometimes. And yeah maybe there are some useless parts of the eps, forexample the speech on the cast-off party. And yes it can be boring sometimes.

The acting is not that bad I think. The actor of Day is really amazing! Well the others... usual thai bl serie actors (not the good ones). But it's not that distracting and not that bad. At least this is only my opinion, maybe I am just used to thai trash series.

The characters are fine I think. Itt is really annoying in the first ep but don't worry he will be kinda normal after this (at least so far). Tbh the attitude of Itt in the first ep is thanks to Day, who let him be like this.

So yeah, I did not finished it yet, but I will in a few days, this is enjoyable. I just wanted to leave a review to the others who are so hesitant about this like I was. ^^

Worth it

I found this BL drama to be delightful, and I’m puzzled by its overall rating of 6.5. From the very beginning to the end, it had me grinning to my screen like a lunatic, I'm sure whoever saw me wondered if I was some mental patient or something. The romance scenes were perfect, but the action scenes left room for improvement—they lacked realism. Despite that, the actors did an excellent job, and I appreciated the chemistry between the couples.

The character I connected with the most was Itt. His childlike love for cake and unwavering patience touched my heart. When the love of his life couldn’t remember him, he stood firm. Honestly, if I were in his position, I might have given up, vanished to an unknown place, changed my phone number, and retreated from the world, drowning in sorrow. But he didn’t waver. Despite emotional and physical pain, he remained patient with his partner. Itt is truly one of a kind—a sweet and steadfast soul

Day, on the other hand, embodies my ideal man: attractive, romantic, and occasionally a bit crazy. His territorial behavior over Itt intrigued me—I’m a fan of jealousy in relationships. Perhaps it resonates with me because I’m also possessive. The idea of “What’s mine is MINE, and I don’t share” strikes a chord. His portrayal, particularly in the romantic and jealous scenes, impressed me. I adore him. 😊

Then there's Gear. Mannnn, that guy is handsome. I had to say that.

Night, a cute little baby boy. His role was well played.

Then there's P, I really have to address the character P. His attempt at portraying craziness fell short—like, really fell short. That section lacked the intensity I expected. Honestly, they should have appointed me as his coach—I’d show him what true madness looks like. My life right now? Utterly nuts! 🤪

Regarding the Mafia aspect, I believe people often misconceive what a Mafia don should look like. In this drama, the portrayal of a Mafia don—suited up, wearing glasses, and sporting a slight mustache and goatee—falls short. It lacks the gravitas that being a true Don should carry. Some individuals naturally exude that aura, but unfortunately, my brother here didn’t possess even a hint of it. Instead, he resembled an ordinary samchoon. Perhaps I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but that’s my honest opinion.

Despite these minor flaws, the drama was well worth watching.

I wholeheartedly recommend it—you’ll definitely enjoy it! 😉

I prefer to write reviews beforehand, right after each 2 episodes (keep updating) so I don’t forget the impressions I get while watching and make sure I pay attention to everything that matters to me. I eventually reached my hands to watch this and I was partially prepared to emotional damage and nervous breakdown. I knew from the start that there’s way too much toxicity in this drama, nonetheless I’m already colorblind and intoxicated, so I gave this a shot.

“I am the one who spoiled him, but I do that to make him mine and mine only”.
“ - Do you still think I’m looking for someone else? - if you are, I’ll do the same”.
What is this? I call this possessiveness, lack of trust, retaliation, obsession, selfishness. Itt kept asking for cakes thinking that Day has to put off everything to buy cakes for him. Every time they fought over a cake I hoped that Itt would admit his mistake after, but he just didn’t. As far as I am concerned, he wasn’t upset because he didn’t get his cake. He was afraid, that Day stopped loving him and every little thing such as not buying cakes, made him doubt Days feelings, inasmuch as HE HAD TO BE THE PRIORITY for him. Day spoiled Itt to attach to himself even tighter: “when he wants something, he always thinks of me first’’. I still have to contemplate if this is a trust issue or a fear of losing a loved one.

The accident served Itt right. I pamper a hope, that both of them will change after it, cause Itt is intolerable. When he felt guilty for what happened to Day, I thought that he would slowly change his attitude, but damn, he started cursing Day for not loving him anymore, without even taking into account his condition and the fact, that he had fucking amnesia and wasn’t the person he used to be. It is so childish. I will go on watching, because there’s something I like about it.

I don’t like the cinematography here. In my point of view, color schemes are poorly chosen. Sometimes colors create atmosphere and certain emotional state, when actors can’t do it, because of unskilled acting. I am quite perceptive to colors and being exposed to color patterns helps me neglect actors crappy acting. When actors fail, I pay attention to visual storytelling. Everybody knows, that filmmakers use this advantage, but I don’t see it here. It’s an essential skill for me. I was surprised to learn that this drama was made in 2023, because I thought it aired in 2016-17. I put the blame on editing and poor production for this.

Furthermore, I get it that actors have to be dressed according to their character, but its vital to make sure that their clothes are indeed suitable for them. I felt cringe all over my body when I saw Kamol in a white suit and yellow sunglassess. I want to omit the hat he had on…It didn’t compliment his outfit whatsoever, he looked like a street thug, not a mafia boss.
And the tight pants..They don’t look good on them at all, especially on Gear, he is so damn skinny. The mentality “if it zips, it fits” has to be eradicated.
Their outfits not only have to fit them, but also the place they are in at that moment. I don’t think that Kim had to be dressed up like that just to visit a patient at the hospital. Am I being too judgemental here?
Moreover, I think that the actors wear too many accessories here. They aren’t always necessary to emphasize someone’s social status. In a word, whats wrong with the designer here?

There’s something I noticed, but I don’t have bad feelings about it. I feel like I’m in an omegaverse world. This reminds me of a fanfic I was really into. Actually, I feel this way when there are gay couples all around in a drama, haha.

After watching few more episodes I am really sure now that their relationships lack trust. Before the accident when a guy approached Itt and offered him a drink trying to flirt with him, Day didn’t even let Itt explain himself and said “I didn’t ask anything”. I think, at that moment he was sure that Itt would never cheat on him and leave for another guy, because he spoiled him enough to be assured Itt couldn’t live without him. Shit, he just wanted to be the power in their realtionship. After the accident Day, a person who trusts nobody, became possessive of Itt and doubted everyone around him. I don’t even understand whether he treats him as a property or started falling for him already, because Itt endures everything (“Give me a foot massage, take me to the toilet, get down on your knees and so on”).
At times I feel that Itt has changed drasticly, but he disappointed me..LIke why the hell was it necessary to appear from nowhere on Days road? What would happen if Day couldn’t hit the brakes on time? I understand that he intended to stop Day, he was worried about him, but what the fuck? After this spur-of-a-moment decision he has the guts to accuse Day in laying his hands on him? In my opinion he hit Itt to bring him into conscousness, because apparently he didn’t even realise what he was doing. On top of that neither Itt nor Night and Gear had a slightest clue what Day was going through, how hard it was to have no idea what happened around, because he had lost his memories. Night and Gear simultaneously noticed the bruise on Itts cheek, but did they notice the bandage on Days hand and ask him what had happened? They didn’t. Gear said “If he is the old Day”…WTF, man? Obviously he isn’t…Maybe they would get it if they appeared to be on the same wavelenght with Day. Having said that, I don’t justify his violence.

Its absolutely comprehensible, that they just tried to make his memories come back, but when he remembers small events he has headaches, and reminiscing about places could cause him a headache more severe. Am I diving too deep? I think, such small things must be taken into account as well.

I’m on the 9th episode right now, and I can notice some changes. I like it when Day lets Itt do things on his own, and Itt tries to hold his selfishness back and cares about Day even more, not as a person who should satisfy his needs, but as the one who he loves. This time their relationships are progressing, and IF nothing changes, they can be predicated on trust and reciprocal understanding. None of them will even think about presiding over the other, because when I put aside Days memory intact, I can’t accept what he did to Itt. Making someone depend on you to the extent that the person is not able to take a shit without you is insane.
I am so glad to see, that Day Is falling in love again and after finding Itt he didn’t holler out at him, he genuienly missed him, needed him.

I was flabbergasted, that Itt could set up his campsite alone, even though he can’t cook or take care of himself at all. But why is he so unreasonable sometimes? “Yes, he slept with me, but nothing could happen, we are both men”. THE PERSON YOU FUCK WITH IS A MAN, PAL.

Frankly, I don’t like Frank here (what a coincidence!). When he learnt about Day beating the wall to punish himself he had to show some disquiet and concern about him, but he failed. The emotions he shows are so vague, sometimes they don’t even come out. I won’t hesitate to say, that a more suitable actor could have been chosen instead of Frank.
On the contrary, Lee is impregnable here. I like his acting, besides, he is the only one whose outfits are always chosen adequately (in comparison).
About kiss scenes…Frank fails, again. I don’t feel his passion, I believe, that he could show more commitment than he does.
Honestly, I don’t know, why I like this, however, if I don’t increase the spead while watching, it means, that Its not weary and I wont get bored stiff.

After finishing the whole thing I still can’t understand how the relationships, that started this way could turn into love…We saw how they first met, Day beat the shit out of Itt, but we don’t see what happened after. Did he keep him hostage or did he released him and they met again? I don’t get it. This storyline is so messy and weak…How did they forgive each other? I need some more disclosure, because there’s no way I can figure it out myself. I can consider this as a love story, if we cut off the way they met.

The accident was a good lesson for both of them. Day let Itt do things himself, Itt is not a spring chichken anymore. Their character development is salient, but the whole story is replete with shortcomings and lacks uncovering.

Nan and Mac. I must talk about them. They jogged my memories of VegasPete. THEY NEEDED MORE SCREENTIME, I NEED A DRAMA WITH THEM ASAP. THE WAY THEY MADE OUT AT THE PARTY WAS BRAINSICK. I DETEST MYSELF FOR LIKING IT. I DESPISE MYSELF FOR LONGING FOR MORE. But the morality I have inside is not okay with this. Night and Gear seem to be a loving couple, but their relationships started with abuse and rape, its problematic, no matter how hard I try to romaticise it, I don’t succeed.

One more character I was into is Nick. HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO ISN’T AFRAID TO SPEAK HIS MIND. He put Day in his place, he was so good at it that his boyfriend had to scold at him and shut him up. People don’t like the ones who actually speak up the truth, but our Shorty didn’t give a shit. On top of that he is humorous and good fun.

The summative conclusion is that this drama could have been better if the flaws that I metioned above were unrooted (there are plenty of trivial matters I don’t want to mention, because I’m always picky about a plot). Questionable plot execution had me pretending that everything was settled, I didn’t have uncertainities and doubts concerning the ending. Btw, I mostly enjoyed this. Its not bad, but its not good either.

I tried. I really tried.

This show. This fucking show. I don't get the girlies who like it, I'll never get the girlies who like, and I don't want to get the girlies who like it. But unfortunately, I can sort of see where the appeal is. It's pure trashy toxic romance drama that you eat up in one sitting. And its the kind of shit I would devour without a second thought. I love me some toxic relationships, love freaks who match each others freaks, I love Red flags. But this wasn't toxic, this was just Stockholm Syndrome: the series.

Every couple (minus one) here was just suffering from Stockholm syndrome and yall cant convince me otherwise. There is nothing toxically romantic about falling for ur rapist. There just isn't. And while I did turn that part of my brain off so I can watch this in peace and harmony, I still did not enjoy. I felt like I forcing myself to watch it, hoping that I would understand why people found this appealing.

I love toxic fictional men as much as the next person, but Day was not a character I liked one bit. I'll admit there were some flash back scenes where I giggled, but that giddiness was immediately ruined cuz of Day in present scenes. There was nothing attractive, dominating or powerful about this guy. He's just a crazy person. There was nothing hot or sexy about how he became destructive of everyone. He was just a whinny, annoying, tantrum thrower. And him being lowkey shorter than Frank does not help.

Them not showing us how Day went from the sadistic psychopath to the loving boyfriend prior to memory loss was detriment to the show in my opinion. And then the memory loss happened than there was nothing redeeming about him. And no, I'm not saying he should have been a green flag, cuz him being red is the appealing thing about him, but I couldn't like Day for the life of me. Every character around him kept mentioning how he needed to talk nicer or act nicely. And if the characters in the show have to point out how unreasonable one is, then that's something else entirely. He was insufferable. Couldn't make his mind up for one second, acted like he cared for one minute then switches up the next. He wasn't a red flag, he was a "I'm a child and I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and that's everyones problem but mine" flag. I can list ten different red flag characters that are so much better and well executed, none of which are pissy tantrum throwers. No joke, if I had to watch this man materialise a problem out of thin air and change up and blame Itt for something that wasn't his fault one more time, I would go into the screen and run a car over him. Then reserve and repeat this ten times.

"You don't remember, that you said you'll never lay yours hands on me." — Truly, the bar is in 9th circle of hell with this relationship. Itt is so indoctrinated its actually sad to watch. And Day didn't even apologise when he found out about the video. NOT A SINGLE APOLOGY. NOT EVEN HALF-ASSED. I just know even all the red flags are disgusted.

AND ON TOP OF THAT... they get married!??!?! Like what??? And that proposal?? Bitch what fuck was that?! I was so bored and speed running this show that I didn't even realise. I had to rewind and watch it twice cuz i thought i was going crazy. Itt genuinely has no self-respect or dignity for himself cuz how do say yes to that?

This show was a snooze, fighting for my life to finish it, couldn't care less about it.

But Nik is my baby. He was the only light at the end of the tunnel. The only one brave enough to say the right thing to Day's fucking face without pussying out. I love him, and anyone who touches him is catching hands.

important

I just want to write a short review beacuse I think a lot of the reviews here are from people how haven't red about the past lore of this series. If you do that, you will understand much more of what is happening. when you do, things makes sense and it really changes this to be a really good BL that touches upon important subjects. I recomment watching it if you are not triggered by r**e
