It's a simple and light hearted story.A office romance that is really heart warming and cute!!
No intimately since but so what. I just needed a light drama. And that was what I was just looking for.
They had good chemistry, looked good together.
Not thrilling but not boring either. Made me after a long and hard day at school, smile, giggle and kick my feet. LOVED IT. I looked every Wednesday forward to watching it. Made my days soo much better and I want it to make others too soon I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE.
100% would rewatch and I have.

cute slice of life bl
It was a brief and charming BL. This drama is ideal for binging in one sitting. I really did enjoy it! While I thought a few scenes were slightly cheesy, it was an excellent watch overall! the pacing was also steady. I expected it to be fast-paced since it was so short but the pacing was perfect! not too fast and not too slow in some parts. this drama reminded me of The Tasty Florida. it was simple and sweet.Was this review helpful to you?
A fluffy bl with a very relatable story!
A very cute bl series with characters and plot you can relate on! The chemistry between the main leads are so cute! The casting for this show is some of the best i have seen for any BL! Everything was on point! It is indeed a breathe of fresh air to see actual LGBT representation in a BL along with the fantasy element of a perfect BL rom-com! I can't express of how much i love this series ❣ Sifting through the MUCK of BL shows, i keep coming back to this one of a kind gem...of a star ✨ Everything with production is done in a brilliant way that only talented people can do, BUT....The actors 🥰 ...ALL of them are incredible ! The two main BL interest are just beyond talented, but all the side characters are just as integral for this "completely perfect feeling of a group effort"I don't know why, but the Koreans seem to do these dramas perfectly. The Lady's: Baek Ji-hye, Nam Kyu-Hee, and one of my all time favorites... 💖Ye Ji-won 💖all add a fresh and humorous depth to let the viewer feel like they are viewing reality and also wants to be hired at this same company ! As the great Tina Turner sang.... "Simply The Best"

This was super cute and super sweet.The boss was a bit cold at the beginning, but never cruel, and was ultra sweet once he started to like the employee.
The relationship was mutual - no reluctance and avoidance that made the whole relationship feel uncomfortable / dubiously consensual (even despite one character being a virgin). Both characters were equals within their relationship, despite the power dynamic at work, and both took the lead, took initiative, and took care of the other at different times.
There was lots of casual physical affection, and it didn’t feel overly chaste or sanitized like KBLs often do. All proper kisses, and one implied sex scene (with a cut to the morning after). The movie version includes a shirtless make out in bed scene before it cuts to the morning after. I felt it could have done with an ending kiss in the finale though.
There were three things that kept me from giving this 10 stars: the ex-drama, the employee’s default behavior of running away when things get hard, and the consent issues.
For the ex-drama, the employee had an all-consuming crush on this guy back in college, but the guy never reciprocated and it turned out that he had dated the boss for a while. He’s now a friend and business client of the boss. This really bothers the employee, to the point that they almost break up when the boss doesn’t understand why it’s a big deal. To be honest, I don’t understand why it’s a big deal either. If he was truly over him, why would the hurt over the ex wanting the boss instead of him in the past still have any bearing? I wanted a more definitive statement to show that the employee was truly over that guy because I didn’t get the impression that he was. After the conflict is resolved though, the ex never shows up or is mentioned again, so that was good.
The employee has never been in a relationship before, so it makes sense that he doesn’t really understand healthy conflict resolution. But after the first fight around the ex, the boss tells him that they’ll work through things together, just don’t run away. But in the end, when the employee doesn’t get a full time position, he does the same thing and shuts down. They’re not explicitly fighting, but he avoids the boss for several days while still having time to work on a project with the other intern and to look for jobs. And he didn’t even seem unhappy about the lack of contact. That annoyed me, especially since it was in the finale, because it felt like a lack of character development. That would been the perfect moment to showcase the employee confiding in and leaning on the boss. When the employee apologized for shutting down again, it felt like a hollow promise since that seems to be his default response the minute things get emotionally difficult.
For consent, there were definitely a few times at the beginning that read like sexual harassment, as well as a few dubiously consensual moments. Because their relationship was developed in the workplace instead of outside it, because the boss made physical moves without clarifying anything verbally (even ignoring the drunk scenes and power dynamics), and because the employee kept calling the boss “Department Head Kim” for a while into their relationship, the beginning did feel a bit like sexual harassment. Also, the boss kisses the employee’s cheek when the employee is drunk, he carcasses his hair while both are sober in the office, and he kisses the employee for the first time while the employee is even more drunk on another occasion. There’s also a scene where the boss is annoyed the employee is avoiding him, so he grabs him by the wrist and yanks him a bit aggressively to get him to talk.
That being said, when the boss makes a move to initiate sex and the employee tells him to wait, he does stop and they discuss before proceeding. The employee is the one that decides to continue and the boss doesn’t pressure or coerce him in any way.
Also, it’s really minor but the idea that the video thanking the company that the employee and his co-intern made after not getting full time positions would 1) go viral, and 2) make the company regret not hiring them was a bit ridiculous. The video was super cringy and not dissimilar to a student project. It would have been more believable if they hadn’t actually shown the video they had made and left it to the viewer’s imagination.

My Personal Opinion
"The New Employee" talks about an intern and a team leader's love story. A typical workmates trope wherein two colleagues fell for each other. To be honest, I have watched a lot of Boys Love Series and Movies, yet this is the first time that I am just smiling all throughout the whole series. Even when there's a little conflict between the main characters, it is not that problematic to me. This series is just full of love, vanilla moments, and comfort. This series is a little too short, but you can see how the characters improved for themselves and for each other, their struggles, and how they overcame it. A must recommend BL Series if you do not want heavy angst or angst at all, and if you want a short series.Was this review helpful to you?

Virou meu bl conforto
Um dos quesitos para se tornar meu conforto é não me fazer passar raiva, e se existe bl perfeito é esse aqui, temos um desenvolvimento bem construído dos personagens e da relação entre eles, além do romance é abordado os desafios de se iniciar no mercado de trabalho. Por ser um bl de 7eps de poucos minutos foi mais do que perfeito. Casal com química e mega fofo, que conversa e o principal, não tem término! O estagiário é o ser mais adorável que existe só fiquei sentindo faltando de um beijinho no final. Na esperança de termos um ep especial para ver mais deles como casal.O destaque pra mim sem dúvida foi atuação mais uma vez impecável do Ji Yong, já tinha me apaixonado por ele em Once Again e esse bl agora confirmou ainda mais minha admiração pelo seu trabalho. Esperando ansiosa pelo próximo trabalho que ele fará.

SIMPLES ATÉ DEMAIS
Romance de escritório é sempre muito divertido para mim, eu gosto bastante, mas esse aqui quis jogar no seguro sem mostrar nada de especial.Vamos começar falando do melhor personagem que é o Woo Seung Hyun (o chefe). Ele é um homem cativante e cheio de nuances, ele com certeza é o ponto alto.
Ai temos o Kim Jong Chan (o estagiário) e ele é o que traz um tom levemente negativo para a história. Em alguns momentos ele é fofo e orna na história, mas em outros ele acaba destoando e a química inevitavelmente não funciona muito bem.
Uma cena que virou uma chave negativamente para mim foi o que aconteceu após a primeira vez deles. O comportamento do Kim Jong Chan é até que entendível, mas ao mesmo tempo extremamente imaturo e egoísta. Um pedido de desculpas não ter acontecido foi um crime, ele apenas espera o Woo Seung Hyun correr atrás dele. Foi péssimo. Não desenvolveram o conflito muito bem.
Depois disso tudo estagna de vez e a história não tem mais nada para mostrar, e esse fato combinado a clara censura que prejudica a química e fator romântico fez dessa série algo entediante e sem graça. É simples demais. Acabei me decepcionando.

Achei a história interessante, mas mal executada.O desenvolvimento do drama foi muito apressado, então não consegui me apegar aos personagens principais, achei tudo muito bobo, mas gostei da maneira que o Jong Chan assimilou também que, por mais que a discussão fosse extremamente besta, era o primeiro relacionamento do Seung Hyun, então poderia ter sido mais compreensivo, porque querendo ou não, eram vivências totalmente diferentes.

Uma das minhas preferidas
Existem vários motivos que nos levam a sermos cativados por um BL. Nesse caso, o que me cativou foi a ausência de dramas enormes, teve um ou outro, mas o relacionamento que se desenvolveu incrivelmente bem para os sete eps que teve, foi tão sólido que fez com que as crises fossem superadas bem rápido e sem muito alarde. Amei a personalidade dos dois, ambos já tinham ciência de suas preferências sexuais e não tiveram dificuldades em assumir o que sentiam, o chefe foi muito atacante e o estagiário não bobeou. Outra coisa legal foi mostrar as imagens do mangá original durante a série, amei isso!Como a história é centrada no casal principal, posso dizer que o chefe tinha características perceptíveis de alguém muito honrado, ele não queria um estagiário, mas não o tratou mal quando ele chegou, ele percebeu que o estagiário estava sendo explorado e interviu, isso antes de ter sentimentos por ele. Ele entendeu que o processo de seleção não foi honesto e tentou resolver, quando não conseguiu preferiu sair da empresa. Já o estagiário, um fofo sem maldade, não tinha raiva nem de quem estava tentado o prejudicar, não via as intenções ruins por causa de seu coração puro, morri de amores por ele...
O fato dele ter se apaixonado no passado pelo ex namorado do chefe é interessante, bem coisa de destino mesmo...
Enfim, amo essa série e dou 10/10. Atuação, enredo, direção. ost, química, não tenho nenhuma crítica.

BL disimpegnata ma comunque apprezzabile
BL godibile ma senza pretese. Le mie aspettative erano basse poichè non m'ispirava, invece si è rivelata una visione tutto sommato piacevole. Storia d'amore ambientata in ufficio, tra il capo del reparto e il nuovo stagista. Niente che non si sia visto già svariate volte, la trama in sè non è certo il suo punto di forza: basti pensare che il contrasto più importante tra i due riguarda una penna stilografica.Funziona meglio se la si vive dal punto di vista di Seung Hyun, e quindi come i primi passi lenti, inesperti e titubanti sia sul piano professionale che amoroso.
Rispetto ai protagonisti, chimica di coppia altalenante: in certi passaggi si percepiva la sintonia, in altri - al di là della scena che magari volutamente descriveva un momento d'imbarazzo - si avvertiva una sorta di disagio, quasi non fossero per nulla allineati nella recitazione.
Simpatiche le due supporter colleghe di Seung Hyun. Il resto del cast è poco più di una comparsa.
Niente di eclatante, quindi, ma una visione che comunque non si traduce in tempo sprecato.

Uma série fácil de assistir, com personagens encantadores e repleta de doçura.
Apesar de notar que algumas sutilezas da trama se tornaram simplistas, no geral a série se mantém firme.
Apenas por não incluir os clichês de doenças em que um cuida do outro ou de dar banho com toalha, a série já merece destaque.
E os atores, nossa, que química deliciosa.
