GO WATCH IT RIGHT AWAY!!!!
This is the BEST drama ever to exist!! It is too perfect to be a mini-drama. I am proud that I am one of the people who has watched this drama. If you are thinking of watching go binge it right away. It is worth every second of your watch. so good!!!! I won't tell you any spoilers here, but I would surely confirm this to you if you haven't watched this drama you are missing out so much in your life. Being a k&c- drama watcher for so long this is a masterpiece that is damn underrated. The writer definitely did an outstanding job and the actors too. I started imagining that I may be a part of a comic world. Or at least I pray that I am.Was this review helpful to you?

Good
I really enjoyed the story. The ML and FL have very good characterisation. You could also tell that the script put some effort, especially in the last few episodes of the drama.
The music was also good.
However, there is a con. What I disliked most about the show was the makeup. The cast had too much powder and it looked weird most of the time.
Also, the props were a bit lacking. Blood was more orange than red etc.
Anyway, I know I will rewatch this when I have time in the future.

Fun & well-executed mini drama that looks at purpose of existence
I am in the mood for mini dramas ever since I subscribed to WeTV almost a week ago. Once I found this mini drama in the catalogue, I read reviews on MDL and watched the series yesterday. What I liked:
1) Themes - The third act becamse very interesting because the series tackled various themes : (i) purpose of one's existence , (ii) destiny, (iii) freewill. Even Mu Nanchen, a supporting character that hadn't had much depth, started to want something more.
2) Influenced by other series - I noticed the similarity between Night of Love with You and W: Two Worlds Apart because of the comic book styling. I really liked it because the execution and character development here are better explained than in W.
3) Leng Ye Han characterisation - Well done to writer for giving him a complex arc despite short time length of the drama.
4) Luo Qing characterisation - This female lead was quick thinking and aware of her strengths and weaknesses. She didn't wait for someone to save her one she identified the glitch in the storytelling.
5) Romance - While this series is geared more towards thriller/mystery, there were enough romantic scenes for viewers to enjoy. The "kissing to save her life" caveat was humourous and certainly poking fun at other romance dramas with non-sensical caveats.
6) Supporting characters - Luo Cheng, Mu Nan Chen, Kevin and even Song Ruo Yon served their purpose in this series.
What I disliked:
1) Mu Nanchen characterisation - I quite liked his character once he became more active/presence. Wish he was given more depth.
2) Luo Qing's backstory - I am not sure why Mrs Mu resisted Luo Qing so much. Wasn't Mrs Mu involved in Luo Qing's growing up or did I confuse this with Ruo Yon's background? If Mrs Mu thought Luo Qing was a gold digger, she could have asked her to sign pre-nup and avoid the whole messy drama.
Favourite scene:
When Ye Han realised that Luo Qing was in danger but then realised he got pulled into different arc.

Addictive chemistry of supporting…I mean main leads
After growing up with love stories of Mary Sue’s heroine being saved by Domineering CEO’s, many rom coms and comics start having “villain” characters being the leads. And it works. Somehow, it’s always entertaining to watch old fashion troupes being “mocked” at.
In Night of Love with You, our story begins when Qiqi realised that she mistakenly took on the female lead role in a new comic story. Left without any way to contact her comic center supervisor, she tried to move the plot along so the story can restart.
First things first, I particularly have a soft spot for transmigration characters because the characters would typically be smarter or more unapologetically cunning. Qiqi fits the bill of the type of character I like - her monologues on some of the old fashioned moments she’s forced to go through as the “female lead” are funny. Another entertaining thing about transmigration stories are the “fish out of water” moments, especially in the beginning of the stories when the main leads are adapting to a new world. I am able to accept that they’re over-the-top actions or slight arrogance because these characters think they are different anyways. Kudos if the execution of these weird moments are done in a way that humble back the leads - like how Qiqi thought she knew how things work, but eventually realised she was not invincible with her “knowledge”.
Second, the chemistry between her and Leng Yehan is great. While their dynamic is one of the classic romance couples of all, the bickering couple, the chemistry of the actor and actress is there. They challenge each other, they keep up with each other, and they kiss. What’s not to like.
Lastly, the production team made the right decision by making this a short length drama. This makes it easier for me to close 1.5 eyes on the logic plot holes that weren’t addressed - which is mainly the rules of this comic world work.
Hence, for those who are (1) looking for an entertaining short rom com, (2) characters with wit, and (3) bickering couples with chemistry, have your night with Night of Love With You.

I won't say too much. I liked Qiqi, and I wish there were more female leads like her. It's kind of rare to find a female lead like her. Although she had to abide by the story of her comic character, she still let us know her thoughts about those annoying clichés used in dramas and comics, and I loved her for that. There are some things in the story that didn't make sense, but given that it's a low-budget drama, it's fine. There are many unanswered questions. My favorite character was the female lead's brother. I wish he hadn’t disappeared at the end! Anyway, it's a good watch, and I recommend it. Also, I know the lead actress from some other C-dramas, and she does a pretty good job. Pretty Good for a Short Length Series
7.5(rated on short drama standards)
3rd short drama ever watched
Story:
-made me worry if the main couple will get together or not
-some heart ache but doesn't last long
-loved how the fl was the opposite of submissive
-this took so many twists and turns
-the premise is very interesting
-if you have already watched a lot of dramas, you'll like this because it pokes holes at a lot of cliches we see in dramas while we're doing the cliches
-very unique
Cast:
-very good looking main leads
-chemistry was good (but kisses seemed weird, you can check them out yourself)
-much skinship
-the outfits for this drama is preposterous. Worst I've seen ever. Ruined the vibe.
Music
-very good
-few songs but makes sense since it's a short series
Rewatch
-too many twists and turns
Overall, for a short drama, this was pretty good! Nice binge watch

Approach with caution—and popcorn
This is a drama that tests your tolerance for chaos—and your ability to watch nonsense unfold without slamming the stop button. I was thisclose to ditching it after the first few episodes. Not because I don’t appreciate brainless comedy, but because there’s a difference between suspending disbelief and being force-fed absurdity with a straight face. The show leans hard into comic book logic, yes, but early on it felt like a parody missing its punchlines. It wasn’t just exaggerated—it was contrived, bordering on the kind of silliness that makes you question if the writers were trolling us on purpose. And yet, there I was—watching through my fingers like a bystander at a slow-motion car crash. Curiosity (and maybe masochism) got the best of me. It’s the kind of drama you think you can walk away from, but instead you end up rubbernecking your way to the end, wondering just how much more chaotic it can get. To its credit, it occasionally knows what it is—and when it does, it delivers satirical gold. It pokes at drama tropes with reckless abandon: villains twirling imaginary mustaches, second leads brooding with no real purpose, and Qi Qi trying to navigate the genre minefield like a player who read the manual three times. Her self-aware maneuvering is the real draw here—she’s a lone survivor in a world built by cliché.
Apart from Guan Yue flashing his pretty-face credentials, everyone else is background scenery. Perhaps the supporting cast seems contractually obligated to deliver zero emotional range and follow the script like GPS directions. “Generic Supporting Role: Wooden Edition” might’ve been the casting memo. They were either too stiff to commit to the satire, or too confused to realize it was satire at all.
Still, just when I was ready to toss it into the trash bin, the latter half served up enough intrigue to salvage the wreckage. In a longer format, I would've bailed early, no questions asked. But in short-drama territory, it managed to be just chaotic enough to keep me watching. It’s not deep. It’s not smart. It’s certainly not logical. But if you can shut off your brain and let the absurdity wash over you, “Night of Love With You” becomes that guilty pleasure you’ll never publicly recommend—but secretly survive.

Fantastic!
I watched this all in one go and it was fantastic! The plot was strong - it was very fun and meta and mocked all the usual clichés which was great. The acting was good as well and the two main characters Leng Ye Han and Luo Qing had a great dynamic. I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop (thank you Luo Cheng!) and seeing how their interactions changed the plot of the manhua. While this was a mini drama (and so had a lower budget), it mostly just meant that shooting locations were reused. The special effects were mostly decent (although the blood looked rather fake the couple of times that it was used) but other than those two small complaints, the show was very well executed. 10/10 recommend! Would rewatch at least my favorite scenes.

I am totally in for two baddies being softie for each other
for some reason I really like the motion of being sucked inside a story/being a character of a story that is not the protagonists original character at all. and this one had a cherry on the top!eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
the only bummer for me is I fall in love with the male main lead and can't find any other works by him 😭 can anyone suggest some or I have to wait another 2/3 years??
