Way too dragged out.
Setting the uncomfortable age gap aside because of cultural differences, the show was good. The couple were cute and for the most part the chemistry between them was definitely there. The side couple were also cute and all the characters were very likeable. However I feel like the whole show could have been finished within way less than 12 episodes. Most of the scenes felt completely unnecessary to the point I found myself skipping large portions of the later episodes just so they'd get to the point. An issue would come up, they'd resolve it, and then for the next three episodes they'd just be dragging it on. It felt like I was going in circles. One minute an issue is settled, next minute they're arguing about it again. Honestly I got bored after the first 4 episodes and the ending wasn't exactly anything worth waiting for, without spoiling too much. Like I said, the show was good, but I can't give it a high rating when I had to skip 80% of the later episodes. Was this review helpful to you?

So Very Disappointing
I loved series 1, It was cute and quirky, and I have been waiting excitedly to see their relationship develop and grow.Sadly series 2 is more or less a repeat of S1, but way worse. There is zero development and growth and absolutely no chemistry between the main characters.
Considering Minato and Shin have now been together for 3 months, they appear to be in exactly the same place that we left them at the end of series 1. Minato has a hissy fit every time Shin gets any where near him, and runs away screaming, while Shin stands about looking like a wooden plank. Shin isn't even allowed to use Minato's first name!
The whole series goes on like this for every episode until it becomes extremely annoying and boring.
Later there is a horribly contrived "accident" that is utterly pointless and adds nothing to the story. It is lazy writing and I have to wonder if even the script writer was bored by this point!
Overall a disappointing story I blame the script writer and the director.

Funny, cute, simple, explained thoughts
When i first saw ads for this bl it didnt look all that interesting. I don't think the ads did this bl justice whatsoever. But i just now watched the first episode up until the current episode, episode 8, in less then half a day. Very cute and bright love, if you know what i mean. Yes its shows a range of emotions other then happiness, but its not dark and it doesn't have a gloomy or dark or mysterious backstory. Atleast what ive see so far. I personally really like when the characters are clear with each other what theyre feeling, or think out loud(basically saying what theyre feeling for the audience to understand). I cant read people or understand social situations, so i appreciate thoughts and feelings being explained withiut being obnoxious. This is how the characters are. Very simple, nice, funny love. 10/10. I wil definitely rewatch this series once it ends. Was this review helpful to you?
Literal Pedophilia/Pédophilie Littérale
English:Overall, the show is okay. I don't really like how a 29-year-old man is paying attention to a high school student who has a crush on him. He should've shut that down immediately. This was an okay show, though. I watched like 10 episodes, then stopped and just never picked it back up.
I don't think I'll revisit this show. The PDF vibes that it gives off are way too much for me to genuinely enjoy this show. If that's your thing, you do you, but it's weird that you'd like a show that has non-consensual touching and kissing, literally p*dophilia, and internalized homophobia.
Out of 10, I give this show a 5, a 5.5 at most.

Wholesome...
While Minato-san is often annoying to watch and scared of his feelings, the story is a wholesome one with some scenes which are bringing tears to your eyes or very fluffy feelings. For western cultures this seems a bit silly, but I guess in Japan this is more reality for denying yourself for whatever reasons and even just being gay is still hard. Also the "side couple" brings lot of enjoyments with an adult who is social akward by any standards which brings its own dynamic with his young would be lover.I won't spoil anything, so I'm just saying, they did a great job bringing this series to life. I hope after Season 2 there will be another one :)

Uhm... sure
Overall, I thought it's reallyyy cute and I didn't really know what to expect since I just casually chose something on my list. I like this show, like I said it's really cute but uhhh. I love the intro, it's really cute and the overall aesthetic is super cute aswell. Anyways, I'm really curious what I'm gonna think of season 2 because I'm not sure what to expect. It's giving Kdrama vibes with the silent moments and I wouldn't be surprised if they took some inspiration from it.I already read Minato Shouji Coin Laundry the manga before and I used to really like it. A lot of times when series get adapted from VERY popular manga's it's kinda upsetting because I might have to high of expectations. What I loved though is that the episodes are short. As someone who binge watches Bl it's perfect to watch in a night. The first episode really goes well with the weather of today in my country,
Next thing, the reason why I'm not sure what to think of it. I'm gonna be honest right here, but I do NOT like the whole age gap thing in this series. It's weird and I just don't like it. "But he turned 18". A 17 year old was hitting on a 27 yr old before he turned 18 hun. And then the 'wet' dream and the "What am I saying, he's just a minor" thing adds to the weirdness. And it was like reverse grooming? Like a 30ish year old man getting flirted on by a 17 yr old? What made it worse was Katsuki being saved by Minato when he was 7 years old. Victim gets groomed by teacher so the victim grooms to another person back.
You can obviously notice that Minato was groomed by his teacher. "But his teacher didn't like him" we don't know AND he was clearly flirting or creating a bond that is a bit weird with a student. I don't understand why sooo many Japanese drama's/manga's do this. It irritates me and it's definitely not the first time they add some grooming to the drama.

I really liked but liking it wasn't enough :/
This was super sweet! The ending was cute and overall I really liked but liking it wasn't enough compared to other series based on mangas. I don't have much to say on this review as notihing truly stuck out to me except maybe the pool/beach scenes and the bold flirting but I can get that in many dramas. I wish there was more of Asuka and Shuu ( I personally love side couples and this one was really interesting, almost giving an Aromantic sort of vibe?). The ending kiss and opening was my fav absolutely adorable was just missing a bit more for it to stand out!!Was this review helpful to you?

I'm at episode 8 and I don't know if I'm going to continue watching this or not?
NO HATE, IT'S JUST MY OPINION.I'm still watching this, I just completed episode 8 and I just had to say this that Minato brother please STOP hurting baby Shin. Dude you either just accept your feelings or just tell him you need space and time, why do you have to keep hurting the person who loves you so dearly. I mean I understand you have your own doubts, insecurities and other reasons but that still does not justify you hurting poor Shin like this.
Also, from story perspective, it gets kinda repeative after a while, I mean the patterns are all the same now, Shin will try and be close to Minato and Minato's heart will skip a beat then out of nowhere Minato will give some (which I think is) illogical reason and reject Shin, Shin is now hurt and he'll get mad at him for like a second and then he keeps trying again then he does something that again makes Minato's heart to skip a beat and repeat. I'm not even sure if I'm going to countinue watching this forward

A little scary at first but it was lovely
Ok, this could have been a lot worse. First of all, I'm glad to be able to say that there is no crime of any kind in the series, but still, it's very uncomfortable to see the normalization of young people dating much older people, let alone teachers.
In general, I liked it. I thought it was cool that Akira didn't try to take advantage of Katsuki and that he waited for Shin to finish high school. I thought it was cool that Shuu-Kun was a good example (quite in the restricted area) of someone aro.
I found the development of the facts well done, the evolution of the relationship between Shin and Akira was gradual and satisfactory.
The ending was cute and convincing.
Shin is definitely cute, I think the representation of a teenager full of dreams and desires was impeccable. Even in those moments when I wanted to get on the screen and scream "stop, please, he's going to have a heart attack!!!".
Hanabusa was my favorite character just because he's such an adorable, tiny dumpling.
I loved Shin's sister a lot too.
I even liked Akira's past dramas.
Well, to conclude, I liked it, but I hope I don't go through that again. I really don't like the "age gap" when some part is under twenty. That's it, I don't think I would be happy without being able to evaluate it, bye :)

Frustrating as fuck but it was worth it, i guess.
This series started off to a great start. Minato is a very low self esteem person when he comes to love and his age, due to his past and Shin is headstrong, persistent and shameless person. So by that dynamic only you can tell it would be a fun watch. But the problem with this series is that it has way too many episodes. It should honestly have only 8 episode. And because of this, the series dragged the problem with Minato and his past way too much. It become way too annoying to see Minato say the exact same thing every episode just to not do it in the next episode. If only they didn't dragged it out so much maybe this series would have a higher rating. But never the less, it was cute. Now the second couple on the other hand, barely bring anything to show and sometimes wonder why they exist in the first place. Both of the actors did a tremendous job, Akira and Shin's actor delivered their roles pretty well. Especially Shin's actor. He basically carried the show along side maybe with Akira's actor. The music is good. The ending song was very exceptional. The ending ost of the last episode especially, made me scream like a little girl. This series is nice to watch if you watch it in one go. I watch it while it was airing so I found it rather frustrating. But if you like slow burn series with a cute moments here and there and a shameless protag then this is must for you. Watch it, I say its worth it.Was this review helpful to you?
Repetitive and Endearing all-in-one
Once GaGa announced this series was leaving it’s platform, I decided to binge it quickly since it was already on my watchlist. It starts off strong and kept me intrigued for the first 6 episodes but by episode 9, the series felt like it was dragging on and on.The actor that plays Shin really shines (no pun intended) throughout the entire series. His facial expression alone conveys the character feelings without inter monologue being needed.
JBL are my ultimate favorite and this one was cute but felt repetitive after a while.
