Light story but strangely addictive
The story doesn't have much of a plot ... Things are going on two time zones practically 5 years apart ... First thing that appeals is pair of mature, independent and successful lady CEO with her graduating husband ...The twist was very cute cause she was doing everything for him that we generally see CEO ML doing for their FL partner ..you know that pampering them stuff ... She got him clothes in every style .. she drops and fetches him in her car to and fro from his college ... We generally see Male CEO doing these things in other dramas ..
The romance between them was not the usual like normal couple but still very sweet with a pinch of spice to it ..like when she tries to talk him out in trying to have a baby, the situation was beautifully conveyed as how awkward she felt asking a graduating boy to get intimate ...
As far as we talk about acting and cast ..FL was better than the ML in my opinion ..may be because her character has strong shades as lady boss ...
Later on the whole abduction plot was normal nothing unique about it every drama has a hidden mystery/ past that is solved later.
Worth watching : YESSSSSSS!!!
worth rewatching : Hm!! NO ...it was a cute story I watched just leave it to that ....

Tropey and Cliche, but Somehow You Get Sucked In
Is it new? No. Is it tropey? Yes. Did I enjoy it anyway? Absolutely.Pros:
• The male leads in this show having some serious acting chops. Both of them bring emotion so much that you’ll get chills. And our main lead in particular is not only a great character but also just an amazing actor. Both of these guys were written and delivered very well.
• A good story that balances sweet romance and intriguing mystery. The story packs quite the punch in just 7 episodes, and it doesn’t drag. It reminded me of “Love Together: Trial Marriage” and “Begin Again”, two dramas I loved.
• When they face their major adversity in the show, NO MESSY BREAKUP! They handle it exceptionally well. Our FL brings her best acting here.
Cons:
• Tropey and predictable for the most part. The mystery was a little bit more complicated, but as a whole, you could see through it. What can I say? We’ve seen it before.
• The FL was often unlikable, and her acting was nothing compared to the two men or even the like ability of the second female lead.
• A little open ended. We get a happy ending for the main couple, but the end felt rushed, and we got no closure for the second male lead or his romance with the second female lead. That was disappointing.

Destined to Watch This
Destined to Meet You is about a smart businesswoman who enters a contract marriage with a college student who has 5-year age gap with her.As a short drama, the dialogue, camera work, and overall directing all scream "short-form series" right from the start. But I think it has a plot as good as some usual long romcom dramas, even better. First, it's a romcom, and they fulfill the romcom checklist like cute romance between the leads, past story connections, and business elements with some betrayal from close friend, all the clichés, but also a fast-paced story with no boring moments, no hard feelings, and no annoying characters, that make it enjoyable to watch. It's kinda rushed at the ending, but still fine. The acting is also pretty good.
Overall, it's really fun to watch, I finished it in one sitting because it's short. This drama also changed my stereotype about short dramas.

Fast-paced & enjoyable romantic thriller
Destined to meet you is one of the best mini dramas I have watched. What I like:
1. Lu Yan Qi - great actress with brilliant comedic timing. She also did vulnerable scenes very well. The watching movie together scene was hilarious! She also portrayed the different ages of Rong Rong quite well. She looked pretty & youthful in the photo.
2. Jin Rong Rong characterisation - love girlboss , no-nonsense & take charge attitude.
3. Writing - Brilliant comedic scenes. The villain's characterisation is also good, not a cliche, 2D character.
4. Directing & editing - Brilliant for a mini drama of 20 episodes with each episode lasting less than 15 min. I like the pacing of the story.
5. Supporting characters - I like Jin Xi Chen & her executive assistant.
What I dislike:
1. Age difference between both main characters - 5 years seem to big considering real life age gap is 3 years. Wish Cong Bei was working adult instead of university student but then some scenes wouldn't work that well.
2. Grandpa - small issue. Got the impression that he's known Cong Bei for awhile. Not sure why Grandpa likes Gu Cong Bei so much.
Favourite scene:
When the aircond in Rong Rong's room malfunctioned. Rong Rong showed her vulnerability to Cong Bei.

a good romance short drama
i was looking for a short modern romance drama with a simple plot and without too much annoying things to watch for a night. I found this after a while and it didn’t disappoint.what I liked :
- the leads have good chemistry and the kissing scenes were decent. I enjoyed their relationship and the romance
- I love fake marriage trope
- when we learned that he actually fell first and liked her too. I always like this.
- no annoying love triangle
- not really any misunderstanding between the leads. a bit of angst when she learned he lied to her, but after that, they stay strong and stay together. She stays with him and never believed he hurt her in the past. no break up
- the comedy
- ML’s cousin, FL’s assistant and even FL’s dad, I enjoyed these side characters.
- no annoying plot or characters in my opinion (maybe a little but really minimal compared to other dramas). I’m annoyed easily, so that says something ahah
- happy ending
At first, the age cap was a bit bothering me, but I got use to it and in the end, it’s not bad.
the thing that kinda disappointed me is the story between FL’s « brother » and ML’s cousin. I know he messed up back then and did some bad things, but I feel like he’s not actually a bad guy. I actual liked the interactions between them too. She was kind and a good person, I think that was good for him. it’s probably bad to say this, but I would have liked to see them get together or more of them, even if in the end impossible… since he will probably end up in jail. I thought they had chemistry and I got invested. If it was going to end up like this, they shouldn’t have started anything in my opinion.
I would recommend this.

Main couple got destiny. Backup lovers got doom and maybe food poisoning
I usually stay away from dramas where the Female chases the Male first, (thanks to the ISWAK series), but I forgot to check the tag this time. After all, it’s a delicate balance between the annoyingly aggressive FL reeking with desperation, versus the beguilingly belligerent FL filled with enthusiasm. Especially if the FL does not have a lot to offer, is clueless about her shortcomings, and is clingy to boot. But this show escapes that trope by presenting the Female Lead as a go-getter, who despite her naivete with romance, puts her faith in a younger man whom she fell in love with because of his looks. She shows her innocence by taking guidance from her equally clueless secretary or from reading manga, surely abundant with sage advice.
Their intertwined business rivalry and familial connections illustrate the “small world” theme common in dramas. The overuse of a common trope to create a “fated destiny” romance unexpectedly worked for the main couple, but the secondary pairing failed to benefit from this approach. Despite having quirky interactions, the fate of the second couple seems doomed from the beginning.
Despite its low budget and short length, this drama’s production team made the most of their resources, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cast’s performance, particularly Yang Ze’s. So I would look forward to his other works.

Cute, heartfelt, and perfectly paced
This drama is absolutely beautiful. The main leads are so precious and lovable — it’s a truly cute romance that makes you smile the whole time. What I loved most is that it’s short and doesn’t drag the story unnecessarily. The pacing is perfect — no filler episodes, no frustrating misunderstandings stretched out for too long. It keeps things sweet and focused.
The relationship feels natural and well-built. You can genuinely see their feelings grow, and the emotional connection between them is very believable. The kiss scenes are real and quite long — not awkward or rushed — and the chemistry is undeniable. You can truly see that they love each other.
Overall, it’s a soft, heartfelt romance with a healthy and well-developed relationship. If you’re looking for something short, sweet, and emotionally satisfying, this one is definitely worth watching. 💕

Love it!
This is the 2nd time i have watched this drama. I love the story, the romance everything about it so good. I rarely like short drama it is funny and entertaining. I would recommend this to people who don't like short drama. If you want a very light romantic comedy drama, you can watch this. The guy is cute (will check his other films/dramas too?). Per episode is just 10-15 mins so not that boring and the story is straight to the point. Though I wish it could’ve extended to 2-3 more episodes, showing their life as a married couple, with kids plus Gu Congbei who graduated school, become successful and eventually helped Rongrong in the business. Watched this on myasiantv.ac by the way.Its great!!!

Destaque para a musica (pinky note)Was this review helpful to you?
