Warm love story with no stupid plots
Wow! It had been such a long time ever since I felt like this for a drama. It's so good! I finished watching the last ep with a smile on my face. I truly believe this one is an example that a good drama doesn't need a break up at final episodes to shake things up. If a good story is being told, with the right amount of drama and a good pace then it will catch the viewer's attention. And I just love stories where the couple trust each other and would never leave just because smth/smone said/did something. All of my fav dramas are this way.I was eyeing this drama eversince I saw the pics of the lead actors and they looked so good together. And that was just by the photos. In the end, they didn't let me down. They're so so cute together and have amazing chemistry. I simply loved the way Jiaxu looked at Sang zhi. At the same time their story wasn't neither rushed nor slow. It all went in the right pace. Nothing feels exagerated or too melodramatic. Which I like. They have good communication. There's no stupid misunderstandings and break ups in the last eps. Although they have little to no experience when it comes to love, they are really mature. So no stupid plots here.
I confess I did got worried with all of that she's young/he's older thing. And it was a little weird that they know each other ever since she was just a kid. But the drama was able to grow from that in a healthy and not creepy way.
I love her brother and their bickering. They're so funny together and I laughed a lot with them. On the other hand, I lost total respect for Sang zhi's parents when they expressed their "concerns" for Jiaxu and Sang zhi's relationship. I mean, I know asians are conservative but so what if he has a bedridden father?! What's the problem with having a sick relative? Is it a crime? As for that girl harassing him, he can't control everything. I just don't think those were good reasons for them to go against their relationship. Fortunately, like I said, nothing is turned into a melodrama, so all of this doesn't really represent an obstacle to their love.
The OSTs are simply the best. So light and warm. They really had the vibes of the drama and I loved it.
In summary, it was one of the best, if not THE best drama of 2023. I had the best time watching it so I totally recomend. 10/10 no doubt.

My Most Re-Watched Drama
I was not into C-Drama till I watched Hidden Love. When I saw my brother smiling while watching it, I got curious and the scenes I initially saw amused me that I got glued in my seat...I guess you know what transpired after that.It is a simple story of young and innocent love that has grown into a pure, dedicated and selfless love...initially in Sang Zhi's character, but has also been displayed by Duan Jiaxhu (two main leads) in the latter part. As what this drama's fans often cite in various socmed platforms, Sang Zhi fell first, but Duan Jiazhu fell harder. 🥰
I just love how the actors have fittingly personified the characters, and how they all complemented one another that us audience were actually drawn into their story. They all gave justice to their roles, especially the two main leads and Sang Yan, Sang Zhi's brother. It was like we're in a reality drama where we cannot help but watch what happens next.
Simple as it seems, still we cannot foretell the succeeding scenes or events in the story unlike the typical Filipino dramas (reason why I switched to K-Dramas). The cinematography is excellent, while the OST's are great, particularly Forever Star which has become my fave. I especially like that the story deviated from the usual conflicts brought about by a third party, a grave issue and the likes.
I watched it 3x already and will watch it again for sure (has been following updates about Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan now 😆).

WORTH TO WATCHING DRAMA!!!
This drama is very popular, I saw a lot of clips everywhere almost everyday. At first I wasn't interested in romantic teenager dramas but I tried to watch a few episodes and BOOM!! I REALLY liked this drama, I watched it marathon in 3 days!!^o^I watched a lot of cdramas and several times saw Zhao Lusi's drama (Sang Zhi), she played her character very well as usual and made me fall in love with her cuteness:3
Chen Zheyuan (Duan Jia Xu) I've known him for a long time but this is my first time watching his drama! His acting is really really good and his eyes is very beautiful, I will watch his other dramas!
The chemistry between the Female and Male Lead, Duan Jia Xu with Sang Yan (Bestfriend), Sang Zhi with Sang Yan (Brother-Sister), Sang Zhi with her Mother and Father, and all of them are the best! Sang Zhi's harmonious family makes me really jealous, one of the cdramas that I will rewatch over and over again when I'm tired because the story is very light and booster my mood!!!

A história é leve e toda sentimental. Quem nunca teve um Crush mais velho e improvável que atire a primeira pedra ...Quando o DJX percebe que gosta da Zhi e começa a mudar de atitude com ela pra demostrar seus sentimentos é muito fofo, ver o debate interno que ele supera por ela ser mais nova e irmã do melhor amigo dele (que também é muito bonito por sinal, não podemos esquecer disso).
Gostei da Zhi ter se segurado um pouco antes de aceitar o namoro, ela merecia ser conquistada depois de tanta espera!

Makes your heart fluff
I love how this Cdrama is all sunshine with a bit of rain on the sides. If you’re tired of a typical romcom with a load of stress and conflicts, this one is a breather. It’s refreshing to watch, the cheesy romance is seraphic. Although Mr. Green flag and Ms. Bubbly with an age gap are too good to be true, this drama takes a turn away from tropy cold male lead with a trauma and an overthinker clumsy girl. The sweet conversations and the relationships of characters among friends, workmates, and family members are all relatable and were portrayed very well. Plus, the chemistry between the main leads is over the top! They just look good together, you don’t even have to read the captions lol and the close up shots really worked its magic!The development of both the plot and the main characters is a slow-burn but magnetic enough to keep the viewers invested on every episode.

This the one of the best drama that I have ever watched till now!!!- A light hearted drama which is full of fluffy moments without much of crying
- Breathtaking chemistry between the leads
- The sibling dynamic (they are funny and adorable, always fighting with with each other but really love and care for each other)
- The bromance
- The friendship
- NO toxicity, NO misunderstandings, No break-up
- Green flag couples (both male lead and female lead are the perfect green flags)
So if you love watching light hearted dramas then you should definitely give it a shot...

Beautiful love story
I have been watching Asian dramas for a little more than 2 years and I have got to say that I like Zhao LUSI so much that I have gone back and watched every series she been in. I am now in the process of watching everything that Chen has been in. I think that these two have given the audience the best series that the Cdrama world has produced. I was so enthralled with all the characters that I had to learn about all the actors and actresses in this series. I seriously think it deserves a 15/10 and it has raised the bar for all other series to try to achieve .Was this review helpful to you?
The only Chinese drama I haven't dropped
This show is absolutely beautiful. I don't mean that in an aesthetically pleasing way, though that's not bad, but in a purely sweet, fluffy, and romantic way. I could not stop watching this and binge watched it to the end within a couple days. I know, I have a problem, but the characters were just so compelling and the plot was so fun and enjoyable. This is the only cdrama I've been able to actually finish, as the title suggests. The men are actually tolerable and not overbearing or abusive. It's the first cdrama I've seen to not have abusive ML and just abusive men in general throughout with annoyingly childish FL no matter the age of them.This FL is young and younger than the ML and the plot is her having a crush on the ML who's 5 years older and her brother's best friend. Maybe it's because this is the exact story with my husband and myself, I was drawn to it. My husband and I both absolutely fell in love with these characters though. The girl is quite youthful and naïve at times, but so is the guy and they felt like the perfect match because of this.
If you're looking for a fluffy, sweet, airy romance with little drama, this is the show for you. I love some good drama, don't get me wrong, but this was just what I needed to step away from all the drama and just enjoy some good, entertaining love

THE BEAUTY OF A CRUSH
I've seen many series potraying crushes but not many have managed to capture a crush as sacred, heart warming and beautiful like HIDDEN LOVE did..
There many things I loved about this drama and I'll break then down into five in my heartfelt review of the drama
Firstly,The plot..one the first look it might seem like something you have seen before but infact it's more than anything you've seen,The story was heartwarming and beautiful and consistent, it centred around the leads and didn't add anything unnessesary,it was light hearted simple and yet realistic.
The Characters,Sang Zhi( Female lead) was everything to me, I admired how she potrayed different characters so effortlessly,I love how they gave her character the spotlight plus room to develop, I love how they enlighted us on her pov and made her character grow onto us in a way that you couldn't help root her every step of the way in the entire series, I love how she was calm, and delicate but brave too🤍
Duan jiaxu is with no doubt making it to the list of my favourite male leads this year, he was mature calm considerate and a green flag for that matter...
My other fav character in the series was Sang Yan..he was everything you would want in a brother he's Interactions with the female lead were precious.
The chemistry between the leads was amazing..their interactions felt so natural and they were really comfortable around each other..they made me giggle smile kick my feet, cry and I absolutely loved them.
The osts Lord iam a sucker for beautiful osts and this drama had all the amazing osts..which not only were beautiful but reflected the story so perfectly.
The cinematography was to die for..each shot was pretty.
I highly recommend this drama for anyone who wants something cute beautiful and thrilling at the same time...iam going to miss it quite alot.

A drama adaptation that stayed true to the original source material
This drama has a special place in my heart. To be honest, when I heard that the novel will have a drama adaptation, I had my doubts. Given that most adaptations don't really give justice to the original source material, I really thought this project won't go well. Fortunately, I was totally wrong! I love how they closely followed the novel. The vital scenes that kept the story standing together were well executed. I must say some of the scenes was even better in the drama than what I have imagined while I was reading the novel. The Female and Male leads down to the supporting casts had created this dynamic that will made you feel a sense of comfort from just watching a fictional show. The acting felt so real and natural. Interactions are not forced with no over the top expressions. Lines were delivered perfectly especially from the leads from the funny sibling interactions to Duan Jia Xu and Sang Zhi's conversations which made me so emotional. I also love how they showed Sang Zhi's university life and Duan Jia Xu work life normally. Sang Zhi's interactions with her roommates felt so relatable and nostalgic as well. Moreover, the leads were so character coded and their chemistry were off the charts! I almost forgot they're just acting. The greenest couple I have witnessed in dramaland. 💚 Their genuine care, love, and trust with each other made me realize that I may not find a love like that. 😀 I definitely cried in single. 😭💘Was this review helpful to you?
