I think this show is worth to watch because it looks like a real life love storyplus if the male role or the female role gets changed it wouldn't be so interesting anymore
the way the Sang siblings argue and bicker every time they met is just adorable and they also fight in real life . in
the live, the Sang siblings fight over whose internet is the weakest and left Duan Jia Xu
watching them making him feel like he's the “电灯泡”at watching them bickering
the way Duan Jia Xu cares for Sang Zhi is very sweet and makes me want to die from the inside

Why I Can’t Stop Loving This Show
"I’m absolutely obsessed with this show! I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve rewatched it, and every single time feels like the first. The OST, Forever Star, is hands down my favorite—it’s pure magic. Honestly, the story feels so relatable. As for the people hating on it, I’m pretty sure they either didn’t finish it or never even gave it a real chance. Sure, there are a few elements that might rub some people the wrong way, but forming an opinion without watching—or just being biased—doesn’t make sense. love the acting. Sweet, strong chemistry between ML and FL. Their expressions when they look at each other makes you want to melt. When SZ goes to the airport to look for DJX, her tears broke me down. Her loyalty to DJX is so sweet, my fav is when she's comforting him at the cemetery and told him how wonderful he is...perfection. Absolute amazing, already watched it 5 times
Okay, Hidden Love totally caught me by surprise in the best way possible. It’s one of those dramas that creeps up on you, and before you know it, you're emotionally invested in every single little thing. The story revolves around the sweet and kind of forbidden love between a high school girl, and her older brother’s best friend. It’s the perfect mix of awkward, heartwarming, and totally swoon-worthy moments.The pacing is slow, but in a good way—like, you’re watching them fall in love step by step, which makes everything feel more real. Their chemistry is off the charts, especially the main couple. You can feel the tension between them, even in the smallest glances or the way they talk. It’s just so... natural. They start off with this really innocent connection, but watching them grow into something deeper, something more complicated, is what makes the whole thing so satisfying.
Also, there’s something about the supporting characters that I really liked. They add a nice balance to the main storyline and keep things from getting too heavy. It’s a drama that makes you root for love, and despite a few predictable moments, it’s totally worth the watch.
Overall, if you’re into cute, slow-burn romances with a bit of tension, Hidden Love is definitely worth checking out. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s heartwarming in all the right ways.

One of the best modern dramas and power couple. Their chemistry is top notch, and their acting was so natural. ❤️
Sang Zhi (Played by Zhao Lusi) is smart, pretty, kind, bit spoiled and immature (when she was a kid). And have a big crush on her brother’s best friend Duan Jia Xu.
Duan Jia Xu (Played by Chen Zhe Yuan) is handsome, smart, kind, hardworking and best friend of Sang Yan (Sang Zhi’s older brother)
The story is a about a girl who have a big crush and hidden love with his older brother’s best friend. Chen Zhe Yuan met Sang Zhi when she was still in the 8th grade. She needed help from his real brother but instead Chen Zhe Yuan helped her and pretended to be Sang Yan.
Then, they met again when she was in 11th grade and from then onwards, she started to like him. She wanted to attend Chen Zhe Yuan university to be closer to him. Before Sang Zhi graduated from high school, she heard the news that Chen Zhe Yuan had got a girlfriend. She felt heartbroken and betrayed since they promised each other that when he got a girlfriend he would inform her, from that point she let go of her feelings to Chen Zhe Yuan till they met again when she became an adult.
When she became an adult, she felt like whatever feeling he had for Chen Zhe Yuan is still there, she never forgets him, she loves him deeply to the point that she wishes that he will never be alone, and she will be always on his side.
At first Chen Zhe Yuan didn’t have the same feeling for Sang Zhi since he treated her as a little sister. And they have a 5-year age gap. But when they started to hang out together, he fell in love with her kindness and protectiveness. He felt like he could not accept someone to be with Sang Zhi other than him, so he started courting her. And of course, they ended up being together.
Overall, Hidden Love is my number 1 modern drama as of today, it was pure innocent love for me. The story may have ups and downs but still it is not as scheming, and tragic as other dramas can be. I love how Sang Zhi is so protective with Chen Zhe Yuan and how Chen Zhe Yuan will do everything for Sang Zhi. Others may find it awkward since Chen Zhe Yuan knew Sang Zhi when she was still in 8th grade and there is a 5-year age gap but heeeeellloooo!!!!!! What is wrong in 5 years age gap? If it is pure, kind love there is nothing wrong with it. I watched this drama more than 5 times. It is so refreshing, so natural and so addicting. Definitely worth watching if you like a light, pure, from teenage to adulthood love story! ❤️

Awesome Rom-com drama to watch
This Chinese drama is a really unique drama out of all the dramas I have watched. The acting and cast were awesome and the writer did an amazing job plotting this story. Great job to everyone who helped making this wonderful drama. This is a masterpiece. Recommended 10/10! Worth the watch! 🥰🥰🥰 Their chemistry was awesome! I don’t regret watching this drama. a love that is gentle, light, and warm
the plot itself has been very risky for the viewers but i loved how it was executed well. the phasing is great, you can see how their relationship evolved thru time. every kind of relationship portrayed in this series was very healthy. from parents, siblings, friends, partner. duan jiaxu & sang zhi are the standard, definitely my ideal type for a partner. djx had a hard time in life but he never projected his anger nor had a negative trauma response on zhi. i love this show. highly recommended. someday, i hope i will experience a kind of love like them.Was this review helpful to you?

sangzi, is a typical girl who usually admire older people but being redjected at first or her misundertanding makes my tears fall down, its her first brokenheart, to the man who admire most,yuans portrayal is very natural seems they were living in real environment real people existing not only in the drma i like his acting
their cp or chemistry is gives a lot of impact in the drama, they are both suitable to their role vey natural they respect each other and care for each other.

A beautiful surprise
I'm mostly leaning towards mature themed dramas recently but decided to give this a try because it had the actress(Zhao Lusi) of the 1st ever cdrama i watched in it. And I'm glad i did. The story is simple and fun but deals with real life situations and emotions. The age gap was done so well that there was no awkwardness. The sibling relationship of Sang Zhi & Sang Yan is one of the best I've seen in dramas. The chemistry of FL &ML was so good that it didn't feel like acting at all. One of the purest green flag couple. All actors/actresses were great especially, Zhao Lusi, Chen Zheyuan and Victor Ma. I'll be rewatching. The most anticipated C-romcom
I wrote this review because i love it this drama so much.Zhao lusi is my bias, but i also like chen zhe yuan’s character duan jia xu… i love that both of them are perfect sang zi and duan jia xu. Producer was doing the great job to cast them both.
I suggest the new watchers to give it a try at least until FL grew up on ep.8… everything will be very beautiful from there onwards especially when ML fell hard for her. You will experience a beautiful love story that make you feel giggle, fluffy feelings and sweet.

SOFT & ADORABLE LOVE STORY
My first ever Chinese drama and after this I'm addicted to C-dramas mainly Chen Zhe yuan's all kind of work. All his other series, TV shows, his other videos, etc. I'm watching again and again for him. All the other characters also acted nicely especially Lusi and his brother combo.
