Reviews
Two Episodes Were Enough
I only watched two episodes, and that was enough for me.Personal Taxi has a concept that could have been interesting: combining slice-of-life drama with music as an emotional thread, all within the intimate space of a taxi.
Its structure is essentially anthological, with a different passenger and story in each episode. The driver becomes the connecting point as his regular customers share small fragments of their everyday lives, often accompanied by music.
On paper, it works.
In execution, the narrative is so anemic that calling it boring almost feels generous.
These are everyday stories with barely any dramatic arc, meaningful conflict, emotional development, or perspective that gives those experiences any real weight. Characters arrive, talk, do a few ordinary things, and leave.
No satisfying closure. No meaningful message. No emotional impact.
Things simply happen.
Literally, nothing happens.
