This drama is a complete masterpiece. Everything about it is impressive—from the costumes, cast, and acting to the cinematography and fight scenes, everything is top-notch. There’s a case that the female lead tries to solve, and her actions around it naturally drive the story forward, shaping the plot and her connection with the male lead.Even though the plot wasn’t exactly what I expected, I really loved the journey of all the characters together. Despite some conflicts along the way, they overcame them and gradually came to understand each other, working together to achieve a shared goal.

A Journey to Love: Stunning Visuals, Deep Emotion, and a Perfect Cast
In my opinion, this drama is absolutely stunning. The plot is strong and well-structured. Every episode feels alive, thanks to a perfect blend of exciting missions, tense political intrigues, and gradual character development. The chemistry between the characters feels incredibly natural. It isn’t just about the romance, which grows through trust and sacrifice, but also about the heartwarming camaraderie of the team. They evolve from strangers into a true family who would die for one another. This shared journey and the genuine brotherhood they form are what make their bonds feel so emotional and profound.
The production quality also deserves high praise. The costumes are a feast for the eyes, especially the elegant purple uniforms of the Six Realms Hall of Wu State, and Liu Shishi, whose aura shines even brighter whenever she wears red. The OST is equally memorable; it isn’t just background music, but an integral part of the story. Just hearing it brings all the emotions of the drama back to life in my memory.
I enjoyed every single second. There were moments of laughter and happiness, as well as heartbreaking sorrow as the characters fell one by one. The sense of loss felt genuine because their care for one another was so sincere.
Many label this as a 'sad ending,' but I feel quite the opposite. The drama leaves a warm impression, especially seeing them happy in the afterlife in the final episode. For anyone who hasn't watched it yet, A Journey to Love is truly worth your time. Ignore the 'sad ending' tag, because it would be a huge shame to miss out on this drama.

Really enjoyed it
I enjoyed this one so much that I watched the tv screen to pay attention to the actors, plot, and subtitles. Usually I stream shows for background noise but this one I stopped everything else and binged on it. I think the female and male lead had a lot to do with my enjoyment of this series. The female lead is strong, not pouty or whiney. You can believe she will kick your butt.! She is expressive, sly, funny, and playful but also take charge and independent. Liu Yu Ning is just the right amount of handsome, maturity, and manliness to pull of this role. I always enjoy watching his series. Female and male lead also had excellent chemistry and many many funny moments. I liked watching Chang Hua Sen in his role and Alen Fang brought a lot of humor with his character as well. Towards the end it got too political for my taste but I'd still rate it a 10. overall I felt it was a good quality production. Was this review helpful to you?
Liu Yuning killed it
Must watch. It's tied with the Long Ballad now for me.Wonderful bromance is what I liked most in this drama. Also the performance of Liu Yuning and Alen Fang. But actually all the main actors gave their all. The characters are just extremely loveable. You get very attached to them and it's a tragedy when you have to lose them.
Also sensible love story. No irritating misunderstanding every 5 minutes, no one-sided love for 3/4 of the drama. It's the story of two lovers who share adventures, troubles, fun and just life together. My favourite kind of love story.
Yes, I would prefer all the brothers to survive in the end. That's what took half a star off for me. But at least I'm 100% certain the main leads are alive and well in the end. I know most people think the opposite, but my opinion isn't just blind belief in the happy ending. I'm truly positive about what I saw and I saw that they are alive and have children.
This is actually not the first time. I remember watching Blue Whisper and they show the main leads in the last seconds of the drama. Yes, it's short, but it's the way the director chose to tell us everything is OK. The same here. The boy plainly says he has parents, he says the name of his mom and the names of his sister and himself - the names only the main leads could give to their children. I don't see two variants here. They survived.
Anyway, an awesome drama. Loving Liu Yuning more and more.

The most engaging cdrama ever I've ever watched. Script was well organized and sequenced properly to not leave any details, paired with the best casting and their talents. The storyline did not only focus on the 2 leads, it also included everyone's struggle and how they overcome it, plus, the character development is really great.

Tragedy and loss
I really enjoyed the love story btw the two leads. They supported and cared about each other w/o all the drama. Also, the camaraderie and trust with the soldiers. Ning Yuanzhou was a great leader with his unique fighting skills. I have seen him in other dramas but in this drama he won me over. You really got to know each person and cared about them. The storyline wasn’t the best especially the end that left a big hole in my heart, but the characters were interesting. Like the female assassin, the playboy, the student searching for his master who he was madly in love with etc. It had me glued to the end. Not a rewatch for me it’s to heartbreaking. Was this review helpful to you?
A beautiful drama
This drama is almost everything i want to see in this shows, the whole actors have a big chemistry, the FL is a strong badass woman, very great ML and support roles are all very good. I liked the story a lot, fighting scenes are well done and it's very rare to see a group of actors like them. So many emotions! The only thing i'havent liked its the 2 last episodes, they are not necessary but it's always like that with Cdrama.
This drama is a must have to watch

A Story About War With A Sprinkle Of Romance And Brotherhood
This has been on my watchlist for two years now. I’ve heard things about the ending and kept don’t put it off. And I honestly wish I didn’t. It’s absolutely worth the watch. You need to dive into this drama with the right mindset. This is not a drama about love, friendship, or palace intrigue. Sure it has all that but essentially, this is a serious drama about war and sacrifice. Everything that happened in the last 5 episodes was on par with the reality of the war-torn world the characters lived in.
Things I loved: soundtrack, acting, costumes, decent CGI (C-Drama is nowhere near Hollywood level CGI but it’s gotten better in recent years).
There was a lot of character development. Each one had a story to tell and I really liked how the writers did that.
I skip a lot when I watch C-Dramas during lengthy dialogues on monologues from the characters who are not needed at all and don’t bring anything new to the plot. I didn’t skip a single scene here. Which is a sign in itself.
Side note: I wish the romance between main leads wasn’t as tame. Yes, it starts off bold with her pursuing him, but it kind of just dies down real fast and moves on to more serious things. But that’s just me. I am a big believer that if you introduce a strong romance Cibolo, then you need to give it enough screen time to explore the intimacy in the relationship between the characters. I could also be spoiled by too much BL content, haha. They do skinship way better. The kind of romance we had in Till the End of the Moon was actually right up my alley (considering how tame C-Dramas are in general). Dark, delicious, satisfying. But that’s just my personal preference. Others will have their own thing going for them. In the end, it doesn’t really make the show any worse because it is not a historical romance show.
Watch this drama for quality production, acting, fight scenes, awesome characters, poignant story, and amazing soundtrack.
PS The ending is actually not as bad if you pay close attention to details. You can take it as what you will.

Some general remarks
I think the reason why this drama differs from others is what makes it stand out. Many stories will rely on a suspension bridge effect to establish deep connections with emotional climactic moments. But the relationship between the main characters is developed through real communication and understanding, also acceptance of each other. It was also funnier than I was expecting it to be. So that was refreshing.
They did a great job giving everyone unique fighting choreography. A lot of the fighting kinda just looks the same in every drama. It was Ning Yuan Zhou's fighting style that was the strongest to see this. It is glorious. Even through the fighting style we are able to see his character come through.
So, let's see...the drama has strong leads, bromances and friendship, great character development arcs.
As always, I'm so thankful to get to watch this drama and support the entire cast and crew. Thank you so much for all your hard work. It is definitely worth watching. I'm not sure if I would rewatch it.

A truly strong FL ,but stupid writers had to ruin the ending
They ended the one show that a actually had a strong FL this badly!!!. LTG and YY has so much potential, only for it to be wasted away ,and show us a watered down version at the end. All this progressive talk about wars and feminism and ruined over them dying for the same pointless war. Also killing of all the people just for shock value.Truly dissaponting ending and what's worse is this show could actually have been a top show because of its wonderful characters ,but no the stupid writers 😡.
I don't think I'll bother with watching the last episode and just delusionaly beleive they all ended happy.
Again stupid writers!!!

My way of watching dramas is to look for dramas and films in which a particular actor has starred...
...so here I am watching a second drama starring actor Liu Yu Ning. The first drama I saw with him was "The Prisoner of Beauty", a very beautiful story. I wrote about it as well. How I came to that drama, however, was by chance and I chose the series not for the show, but for the high rating on the MDL.I wouldn't say that this series is the type of drama I like to watch, but the characters, their personalities, the unity and strength that this unity gives, really captivated me.
Visually, everything is superlative, as we are used to from Chinese productions. The action...a little too much for me, but within these events, love, trust, and attachment between the two main characters also blossomed. Yes, the love story alone has kept me watching this series so far, and I will definitely watch it to the end.
What started as "advice" from a respected person ended up awakening more "engines" than if it were a simple attraction between the female and male characters. This fact in itself was very attractive to watch, how an absurd request from the female character shaped a deep love and appreciation in the male character's heart, in which he not only agreed to fulfill the request (he was hard to convince, but the thought haunted him from the beginning), but also gave value and importance to her future. (I don't recommend trying this in real life 😏)
I'm about halfway through the drama now, so I'm very curious to see what awaits me in the second half.
Edit: I finished the series and here is my conclusion: they could have stopped the story earlier and not had the ending that it did. Honestly, I didn't really like the direction they took the movie in the last 10 or so episodes. It's like they killed all the beautiful stories and focused on wars.
I think the high rating is due to the first half of the series. My rating for this series is closer to reality.😅

Best set of cast!
Casts are perfect for their story portraits! Liu Yuning, Liu Shishi and the rest really did well in their acting and gave good impression to the story itself! Story is really good, a combination of action, thrill, romance, comedy and a lot more! Would love to see Liu Yuning making more tv series in the future! His mere face tells a lot of stories already! Good luck to the whole team!Would love to see Liu Yuning making more tv series in the future! His mere face tells a lot of stories already! Good luck to the whole team!
