A prosaic story about love
This is a bit of an unusual BL story that frankly I am not sure that I 'got' it. That does not make it bad; just a bit confusing. It is like watching Romeo and Juliet minus the death scene of course. They speak not as teenage boys but like they are performing in a theater-in-the-round. It is a rather enjoyable series to watch as it is so different even if I did not quite understand it. I was perplexed by it all yet completely taken in by the charm and oddly soft passion with each other. As I watched this series, I felt inexplicably somber. You can review my complete thoughts on this series at BLBliss.com.

Sweet and funny puppy love story
I finally setup an account so I can write a review because I can’t believe how some viewers rated this drama so lowly. I was pleasantly surprised with this gem. I thought oh another BL based on high school kids . Well yes they’re high school kids but their love story is really so sweet. Yes there were some weird filter thing through out the drama but overall the main leads really made you feel their love towards each other and make your heart flutters. Also the rest of the cast did a great job supporting the leads. Definitely one of the most enjoyable and best BL this year. Hoping for a season 2!Was this review helpful to you?
A candy floss show
I've been impressed by most of the Japanese BL's I've seen as they've been of a high standard and better than a lot of Thai ones, however this show just makes me think of candy floss - it's sweet but with no substance. There really is no proper storyline to follow, it's mainly just the 2 leads in various situations. In fact some episodes could be watched in a different order and it wouldn't make any difference!
I will watch the last 2 episodes but can't see there be enough happening to make me want to visit this series again.

Cute couple who deserve a better story
The BL couple is cute and likable, but you might sense that something is lacking when the side characters like Tanaka and Katori prove to be more interesting as characters. The two main characters like each other and start dating. But Takara's cool demeanor leads to some misunderstandings. The couple is cute, but it's hard to fathom why Takara would so doggedly act as though he is nonchalant about things when there seems nothing motivating or compelling him to (he doesn't even really care about what others think, so it's not like he is putting on a façade to maintain an image or something). There are some subtle changes in the way he behaves in the last couple of episodes, but it seems to come a little late and pointless.
The weakest part of this series is the storyline. Most of the episodes begin with some sort of problem in the relationship, often because there is some misunderstanding going on. The somewhat confusing editing in the early and final episodes don't really help much either.
There is so much potential for characters like Tanaka and Katori to play a more important role in the story and the couple's relationship. The potential is wasted especially with Tanaka. In the end, it feels like what happens in the last episode could well be in the second episode and real complications can be thrown in subsequently.

The fluffiest to ever fluff
If you're looking for a show with an intense plot, angst, and drama - keep looking. This isn't the show for you.BUT if you're looking for a really sweet romance between two boys, with a healthy relationship and awesome communication skills, then congrats! You're in the right place.
This really is just a sweet getting-together show. The first episode is a bit confusing as it jumps back and forth time-wise, but that resolves in the first episode. By second episode, you're caught up to present time and it's just a smooth ride from there on in. The leads have good chemistry together, which is nice. Takara says maybe like ten words every episode, he's not a talker, but he uses those words to full impact. The show really teaches healthy relationship and communication and it's done so naturally, it's beautiful.
I highly recommend the series to people. Especially to those of us tired of the miscommunication trope. You won't find it here.

Very sweet slice of life
While being very sweet and cute, this series also shows how complicated a secret relationship during high school can be. I like the concept of one being super popular while the other isn’t, I think it makes it more exciting to watch. All the characters are likeable and funny, and I love that it doesn’t go too deep into the plot, but instead stays as a slice-of-life story.
Their interactions are so precious and loveable, my heart almost couldn’t take it. Very much rewatchable, I had an amazing time. So, if you are in search of something simple and heartwarming, this is the one!

in One word... BORING
I was expecting the usual sweet story between two highschooler who discover their love for each other but when the story Beginns they are already in love.on the very first episode they like each other soo much but the viewer doesn't get the time to grow affectionate to these characters.
the characters feels more or less like "humans" but the main two are just a caricature. this drama probably was originally a manga or an anime but even if that's the case....
the blond cold guy is really boring. we really know nothing about him. he acts so lifelessly..
the other one is very bubbly and way more likable.
the fall in love for apparently no reason and their story feels flat.
they never talk, they never spend time together.
I get this is a slice of life kind of thing, but nothing really happens..
i am just amazed they even got 8 episodes.
to sum it up... don't watch it. there's is better stuff out there.

The Story of Two Cute People
As the drama ended, I already felt sad to say bye to the two characters (and their friends)...This characters in this story are exactly how I feel young people in love should be...one respects and cherishes the other...after watching so many shows where young people get together and break up without a thought, I love that this relationship is about discovering each other slowing and solving the misunderstandings as they arise...love will be long-lasting only if both sides try their best...wish people could learn something from the dramas and be better lovers...they'll definitely be together forever...hope there's season 2...Was this review helpful to you?

To be a good actor, you don’t need just good looks — talent is enough. But here, they don’t have either. The little one can act a bit, but Takara can’t act at all. And seriously, what’s wrong with the writer? It’s the same thing over and over again — just two idiots falling in love and constantly thinking about doing it. Is that supposed to be love? They don’t even have common sense. Not recommending this show.

Very cute but not to everyone's tastes
I personally really enjoyed it. It felt nice and cosy to watch every Friday and it covered some really topics and was very fluffy and sweet. I'd have like to see a few more kisses but it isn't essential and it was beautiful. If you're used to japanese shows then i think you'll enjoy it 😊 I think some comments who don't like it are because they're not familiar wirh or fans of japanese cultural messages and art styles that can be seen within it.
overall though I think it's worth a shot but I warn if you aren't used to Japan's BL or anime shows you may find it slow?

Simple, Cute, Slice of Life Drama
that I completely enjoyed. What I enjoyed more about this series is how mature the characters were. Takara and Amagi behaved way more mature than a lot of Male Leads that I have seen in other BL series. For being teenagers, they sure knew how to communicate and fight for their relationship. Whenever there was a problem while yes, the drama was there it didn't take long for Amagi and Takara to solve it. When that wasn't enough, it was time for their friends to step up! Katori has to be one of my favorite best friend's in BL. He was always there for Amagi when he needed him. I really loved their bond. The friendships were good here even Tanaka stepped up when he needed to.Yes the story was simple and not much too it but I loved how realistic the plot was to teenagers like Amagi coming to terms with his feelings of first love and all that entailed. Although Takara wasn't as epressive as Amagi, it was good to get inside his head once in a while. Also his love for Amagi was the cutest thing ever. Bubbly and Cold protagonists is one of my favorite tropes and I feel like it was executed well here.
The actors did a fine job with their characters.
The only thing that bothered me a bit was the use of timeline. Those flashbacks to tell the story where mighty confusing, esp in the first episodes. I think that's why I give this a 9.0. Because overall this was a fun, fluffy & just what I needed kind of series. I liked the minimal use of angst and the overall cuteness because with all the ugliness in the world this is the kind of series that is needed. One that I'll probably rewatch a lot and one of my favorites of the year.
