Both these dramas gave me the same vibes of parental love, growth and family struggles. Starts with the same nostalgia era. Of course, When Life Gives You Tangerines is more well made and prettier.
This drama has a very similar vibe to 18 Again!
- parents (referring to ML & FL) were madly in love with each other when they were younger
- narrate the stories of both the parents' and children's lives/generation
- young adult parents, so they struggled in raising their children (young dad having to be the breadwinner and young mom taking care of the children)
- parents gave up their dreams for love (and later, for their child)
- parents would do anything to protect their children and give them the best of everything to their ability
- ultimately, both are happily married

Come from same writer and even the title is long and start with "With" lol. But seriously, both of series depicts on parenthood especially motherhood. The other similarity is the male lead is so whipped with their female lead. If you want feel the same feeling and same comedy style, you have tho watch this one. The acting, line up cast, maybe you will find one or two same actor in both drama.
Young childhood friends growing up in the same community and become lovers? From the trailer alone of When Life Gives You Tangerines, I recognize the same sea scene from Welcome to Samdalri. I don't really know the plot yet, but they definitely have the same vibessss
