Episode Title: Xue Fang Fei and Xiao Heng Are Ambushed in Gold Mine While Searching for Huaixiang Former Constables
Fang Fei and Duke Su help her father’s enslaved officials escape from the gold mine. Surviving the ambush by magistrate Feng’s assassins, they head to the district office to confront him and arrest him for his treasonous mining of the imperial gold mine. However, magistrate Feng uses Fang Fei’s father as hostage to escape with the gold. As the execution of her father nears, Fang Fei is desperate to find witnesses to testify against magistrate Feng and prove her father’s innocence.

...breed fear into their citizens that they're afraid to speak up, even when they know it's the right thing to do. Magistrate Xue's mind is so far gone that he doesn't even recognize Ah Li was truly heartbreaking. All of this for a Prince's greed for wealth and power.

A Li and Duke Su push-and-pull relationship made it so compelling to watch. I basically sat on the edge of my seat during this episode because of how good it is.

Wu Jinyan did a phenomenal job during the scene with Magistrate Feng when she was making him suffer with each tribute. I replayed that scene so many times!! Super satisfying to see him suffer for his horrible deeds.

Bom, chegamos à metade do drama. Foi um episódio cheio de ação! Fiquei praticamente uns 40 minutos sem fôlego — angustiada e ansiosa pra ver o que ia acontecer. Sempre que tem cena de ação eu fico assim, e dessa vez não foi diferente. Gostei muito dessa pegada mais intensa que o drama está trazendo, algo que não vimos tanto nos episódios anteriores.Achei que o episódio seria ainda melhor, mas está indo bem. Os primeiros episódios, pra mim, foram mais fortes, mas acredito que os próximos 20 ainda podem surpreender. No geral, foi um bom episódio — cheio de ação e tensão entre os protagonistas. Já está nítido que existe um sentimento ali, e acho que os dois estão começando a perceber isso. Vamos ver como essa relação vai se desenvolver daqui pra frente.
