Episode Title: The Imperial Diviner Targets Jiang Li. Aunt Hu Leaves a Suicide Note
Knowing Madam Ji and Princess Wan Ning are planning something with the Imperial Diviner, Fang Fei reaches out to Duke Su to counter with a plan of her own. Unsurprisingly, the Imperial Diviner singles out Fang Fei as the host of the evil spirit that is affecting Ruo Yao. Fang Fei’s counter-plan is successful, but out of desperation, the Imperial Diviner blatantly tries to kill her. All of Madam Ji’s misdeeds come to light as Fang Fei deals with the aftermath.

I'm not sure I'll get over that episode. Her meimei deserved better than that. And I suspect Li Shuran was lying to Liu Wencai about that miscarriaged baby being his, just to give him extra incentive to exorcize Jiang Li/Fang Fei.

Every episode has been jam packed with perfection. I was almost wondering how it’d be 40 episodes with how much has already happened. Now I’m wondering how it’s only going to be 40. I’ve never felt so compelled during such a long series by every episode… and this one brought so many tears mixed with joy of retribution. While I’m on the edge of my seat for the next episode, I’m almost happy to be able to mentally sit on this episode for a day and truly take it in instead of rush to the next. I might even rewatch it later today to see what I missed while sobbing my soul out.

O plano da Princesa Wan Ning com a Ji Shu Ran era fazer um exorcismo na Jiang Li, mas tudo deu errado — e de forma caótica. A Jiang Li estava preparada, e o que era para ser uma armadilha acabou se tornando uma tragédia cheia de mortes inesperadas.A primeira morte que me surpreendeu foi a da Tong Er. Eu queria muito que ela tivesse mais desenvolvimento, talvez até um par romântico ou um desenvolvimento pessoal mais profundo. A Jiang Li iria até dar uma casa para ela… Então ver a Tong Er se sacrificando pela Jiang Li do nada me deixou bem triste.Também tivemos a morte do Adivinhador Imperial, o grande amor da Ji Shu Ran. Ela ficou destruída, e acredito que, depois disso, ela deve sair de cena e deixar de ser realmente uma ameaça para a Jiang Li.E outro ponto que me deixou abalada foi a morte da concubina — a que teve a filha assassinada pela Ji Shu Ran. A Jiang Li finalmente fez justiça por sua filha, mas por que a mãe decidiu tirar a própria vida? Eu achei sem sentido, mas fazer o quê… O drama escolheu esse caminho.No geral, foi um episódio cheio de reviravoltas, acontecimentos intensos e momentos em que mal dava para respirar. Foi um bom episódio, apesar das mortes e da tristeza que senti pela Tong Er.
