The Double

- somber, yet beautiful narration,
- FL is not who she says she is,
- smart FL and ML,
- captivating storyline that make you wonder what's gonna happen next

*There are two versions of the same story, one in vertical format and the other in standard format.
*While both are adaptations of the same core narrative, you may notice some differences between them.
*The main themes revolve around revenge and romance.
*If you liked one, chances are you'll enjoy the other as well.
*And if you haven’t watched either yet, they’re definitely worth a try.

This drama just like The Double uses a lot of straight on camera close ups.
Also a character has a fan.

In Moonlight Mystique a character uses a fan, exactly like in The Double. So they're exactly the same.

Both are historical dramas in which the FL is murdered by her husband, the husbands in both dramas have a side-squeeze from the imperial family. The FL allies herself with a man in order to get revenge/justice, and the two fall in love along the way.

Both revenge stories. The glory is a Korean modern revenge on high school bullies. The double is a Chinese drama revenge on the people that tried to murder the FL.

Both have the same Directors, Producer, and Costume Designer. You can see some of the casts of The Double in Perfect Match (Wang Xing Yue, Liu Xie Ning, Liang Yong Qi, Zhao Qing, Pan You Cheng, etc).
The Double is more about revenge and conspiracies, while Perfect Match is about the Li sisters finding their partners. YES, the plots are so different and I think that's the only difference.
If you love Wang Xing Yue's acting, I think you'll love this.

Kinda similar doppelgänger revenge stories. Mask is a Korean drama, set in the modern Korean upper class. The poor FL has to replace her doppelgänger after the doppelgänger was murdered. The double is a Chinese drama. The FL takes the identity of her friend after the friend dies. The FL takes revenge on the people that tried to murder her.

Almost same plot at the start where female lead has been betrayed by her husband and later on revenged as another person.

both of the main characters are badass in their own ways, its historical its about revenge with martial arts

similar plot with smart female lead seeking revenge and taking another persons identity in order to complete their goal of finding the truth.

One is Xianxia, the other focused on revenge but both are solid in terms of leads, they are all beautifully written and enacted. Shen Li & Jiang Li both have a strong will, whereas Xing Zhi and Xiao Heng both treasured their lovers.

Go Princess Go was an earlier work of one of The Double's directors. It has the same artistic theatrical style of The Double.
Even though The Double is altogether a better drama, you might try Go Princess Go to see the same level of drama and shock factor.

both FLs are wronged and killed get their faces swapped with another woman and become part of that woman's family
Both are historical drama
Both ML is a military man
Both FLs are betrayed and seek revenge on those who who wronged her

-Strong FLs in terms of mentality (FL in TLB can also fight)
-strong focus on scheming
-some focus on revenge for TLB, while The Double is pretty much all revenge
-hidden coup

There are many identifiable similarities, but I feel like the overall vibe of both dramas are quite similar. If you're especially looking for strong FLs who can scheme, both dramas are great.
