I’m Over the Moon
Three letters. O.M.G.This Chinese drama was soooo good. This tops Love and Redemption and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms in my list of dramas. The actors, the acting, the storyline, the set, the costumes were all amazing. They did a great job pulling my heart out. What a great performance from the whole staff! I’m a huge Bai Lu fan, so of course I had to watch this after watching her in Till the End of the Moon. The drama title had “Moon” in it, so it gotta be good, right? She’s perfect as Bai Shuo. I love her in costume dramas, I swear. She’s like a true goddess. This is my first Ao Rui Peng drama, so now I’m an officially a fan. You know, Ao Rui Peng looks like a cross between Dylan Wang and Deng Lun. I’ve never watched him in other dramas before, but him as a demon lord here impressed me. They acted so well here. I cried buckets, seriously. I was sick while watching this so I kept crying and blowing my nose at the same time. I love purple so much and this show had a lot of purple colors in it. The villains were great as well. The whole message of this story is all about sacrifices and walking down your own path. It was repeatedly mentioned throughout the whole story. I devoured it within a week. I did not have huge expectations with this show because I once read a comment from someone saying Moonlight Mystique wasn’t as good as they thought. Excuse you?? Just kidding. Well, that’s their opinion. At first look you’d think it looks similar to the Cdrama Love between Fairy and Devil, but it’s really not. It’s actually far from it. I love the demon lord there, the Moon Supreme Dongfang Qingcang played by Dylan Wang. But honestly, out of all the demon lords I’ve seen, Ao Rui Peng’s demon lord character’s the best for me. Followed by Dylan Wang’s. Now I’m looking forward watching his other shows. It does have a lot of character deaths, though, so be ready. I love the twists and turns, the friendships, the chemistry between the couples, the music, everything is just pure perfection. I love it so much. I don’t know how much I can stress this. I’m in love with this show. But now that this drama is over, I feel empty inside. Bummer. This is how I always feel after watching a really good drama. It’s like a group of friends that you won’t be able to see anymore. The story’s done, so it’s time to move on to another one. There are so many dramas out there that starts out so good and then the amazing factor just dwindles halfway through. Perfect example would be misunderstandings. This story doesn’t have that, and it has a happy ending. This is a perfect rating for me. It’ll hold a special place in my heart. I’m consoling myself by watching the Behind the Scenes clips on how they made it. I feel so happy how this group got along so well. The casting director did a great job choosing the right people for the show. And thank you to the writers for giving us a healthy couple. Love sure has no bounds.

It's always been you, over and over again despite the years that have gone by.
I went into this drama without research. I saw the high rating and dived right in. I'm glad I watched this gem.What I Loved:
- The FL - I watched this drama because of Bai Lu. I have watched several of her dramas and she's a good actress who's getting better and better.
- The ML - I watched him for the first time in earnest her. He's so easy on the eyes - tall, charming and handsome.
- The costumes were gorgeously elaborate and intricate. I loved the attention to details as well as the bold and beautiful use of colours. I liked how Fan Yue was so manly about all the sequins and glitter that adorned his navy hued costumes. He looked stunning. The costumes for the ladies were very pretty too.
- The plot was different from what I had previously watched. Also, it was highly engaging and interesting. I would say that there was not a dull moment. The fact that everything was explained and linked well made me very pleased indeed.
- The acting was top-notch for this drama. The leads were fabulous and the supporting cast was excellent too. Fu Ling was so pretty and her character turned out to be complex in a good way. Actually, all the characters turned out to be complex in very good ways. I enjoyed watching how things panned out.
- The OST was amazing and suited the different scenes so well. The OST is now on repeat at the moment.
Well, having given this drama a 10/10 generously... I think there's nothing bad to say on the whole.
I enjoyed this ride and I am thankful to the actresses, actors, directors and so on for making this wonderful drama for viewers' enjoyment. <3

When love is so strong that it can overcome the plans of destiny and make its own path
Oh my god…I’m obsessed!!! I decided to watch this drama after so many good reviews and I can definitely understand the hype and why so many liked…it’s REALLY GOOD!!! The story is great, I was speechless how everything is well connected! Main leads are SO beautiful like I was mesmerized by their beauty! The makeup and costume here were really beautiful too and the scenery was exceptional. OST was also sooo amazing, so many good songs, I’m addicted until now!I also liked the characters! The main ones and the secondary ones were really good, I think most of them had some depth. If I have to pick a favorite tho, it would be Fan Yue because he’s exactly the type of character I love so I instantly loved him, he also gets even better in each episode. Always doing everything to protect everyone he loves, especially our female lead. But I really liked all of them! Fu Ling and Tian Huo were both interesting characters, they really shined for me! And Bai Shuo is exactly the type of female lead that I usually like so it was easy to root for her.
Fan Yue and Bai Shuo chemistry was also really good! They had a lot of beautiful scenes and omg I cried so much in the last episodes. Actually cry is a thing I did a lot here because omg at certain point it was practically a battle to see how suffers more. The acting was also good! Bai Lu was amazing as always. Never watched anything with Ao Rui Peng but he did a good job here, really convincing, especially in the emotional scenes! Dai Lu Wa was also amazing as Fu Ning!
The ending wasn’t exactly 10/10 for me because basically most of them died and I think Fan Yue’s death in the fighting scene in the end was kind unnecessary and repetitive but well at least he returned…I’d have killed myself if he died for real haha At least the main couple had a happy ending.
In general I really recommend this one! I think it’s going to be difficult to forget the experience I had watching this and for now is my favorite xianxia of the year!

this is very beautifully portraited ... the love the sacrifice and everything and most important males doesn't have any big misunderstanding which will be dragged for 20 episodes... fill with adventures, love, friendship, and sacrifice specially the side characters love story you will cry.. every side character story is too much captivating , their death , their choices made me pause in between just to wipe my tears and the opening ost with voice over I can't skip that sa dingding can really challenge herself everytime..overall worth a watch. see how story unfold itself and be ready to cry over each character... to me It's too heart wrecking right after one and only and tteotm.

A great alternative if you didn't like Love between fairy and devil
OMG where do I begin??!The story itself was already really interesting and straight forward. We are introduced to the characters and the plot in the beginning which I absolutely love. We get a small background of Bai Shuo, and we follow her journey. There was a lot of interesting scenes that captured my attention so it didn't feel boring at all. I wasn't skipping through it much so it kept me entertained. Plot was great, especially Bai Xi's. I loved watching the little interactions between the side characters and following along their quest.
The acting and cast was superb. I've always been a fan of Bai Lu and I gotta say she didn't disappoint me at all. I've seen s couple of Ao Ruipeng's dramas, and OMG the director clearly knew what he/she was doing. I loved his character so much, his domineering spirit is everything! Giving off Dongfang QingCang vibes. I'm even more impressed with Dai Luwa's character. I've seen her in lost you forever, and her role in this show is so lovable, even as the villain she did such a great job.
The OST is catchy and sad. At first hearing Sa Dingding sing the cover, I was kept reminding of The Starry Love which is also a great drama. The props and outfits were great. When I saw the different weapons for each character I was speechless. Fan Yue's sword/whip is so cool, and don't even get me started on Xing Yue bow. It's so pretty and so different from all the other bows I've seen. I love how every character has a different weapon.
My only issue is the saturation of the colors is super heavy. Like there's a lot of bright and dark blue's and purple and it sometimes hurt my head. Other than that, I'm in love with this drama!

spoiler alert!I like the concept of searching for emotions for emotionless stones in various worlds, every emotion needs to sacrifice someone it makes me cry every time it happens because in their journey I feel the bond of friendship between them that makes me reluctant to lose them one by one.
No wonder because behind the camera they have fun, very close and look comfortable with each other. Playing around with each other, laughing, eating together and even celebrating the new year together like family
Also, the OST is really good! all of them are good and I even put them all on my playlist.

Powerful. Emotional. Unforgettable – The Must-Watch Drama of 2025
One of the best dramas I have seen in recent times. The actors delivered exceptional performances, and the emotional depth carries through the entire series. Some characters appear for just a single episode, yet they leave such a lasting impression you can’t stop thinking about them. Every actor, no matter how big or small their role, truly brought their character to life.I have never been a fan of costume or fantasy dramas. In fact, I have only watched maybe three or four in total. But this one stands out far above the rest, thanks to the raw, honest emotions portrayed on screen. Nothing feels forced or hidden it’s all right there, and it hits hard.
What’s even more impressive is that you can’t pick a favorite character. You will end up loving them all, even the villain at times, because of the way their stories are told.
If you are like me and typically avoid costume dramas, start with this one. I guarantee you will fall in love with it.
And YESSSS—Bai Shuo, Fan Yue, Chong Zhao, and Fu Ling will undoubtedly be among the most loved lead and second-lead characters of 2025… at least so far. Let’s see if anyone else can top them by the end of the year!

the perfect drama. expect for the deaths …
this drama .. omg let me TELL you was the best drama i watched in 2025 bu far .. it’s going to be hard for nah other drama to be this especially with the fact it has bai shuo in here. she is one of the best actors especially when it comes to historical dramas like this. she embodied her character and although i didn’t like her in the beginning she grew fast on me and i loved her all throughout the drama along with ao rui.there romance was really nice and i loved how it started off as a banter and they fell in love within a nice time. not to quick and not to slow. it was the perfect speed. there kisses … omg i loved them they were so steamy and this is how all actors need to be kissing because it was go good !! you can feel the love and the sadness watching them kiss. that’s how you know for sure a actor can kiss and THEy can kiss.
the story was very interesting and it kept me hooked until the end. the deaths .. even though they were necessary i still hated every single one of them with all my heart like WHYY can’t everyone be happy?? they all sacrificed themselves for bai shuo and ao rui to be able to stay together. i would’ve loved it more if the story was different and everyone was happy but I understand why everything happened. it was a rollercoaster between smiles and tears for sure so if you don’t like those types of dramas then this ones isn’t for you.
i was so happy to see the brothers and the sisters reunite … but they both had to die and i almost through my laptop lmao. like bai and aoi spent mos off their lives trying to find them for them just to be killed off. ughh i wanted more moments between them but that’s impossible. imma just cherish the ones I got.
i hope in another lifetime all the couples can be together especially tiang huo and mu jing. their story was so cute and i teared up when he died and left behind his self in a hold able fox … but i guess it’s nice that they can be other now that their both dead ?? although i wished for more scenes of bai shuo and ao rui. i’m happy to know they have a happy ending that they deserve because they went though HELL and still came back together.
this drama is truly a heart breaker and you will have alot of emotions watching this but if you handle so it’s the perfect drama for such. i’m thinking of rewatching it since it was so good. i recommend to definitely watch this. u won’t regret if you like having your emotions changed.

Best CGI , best ost, best plot...
I finished this series half-hour ago, This is my second xianxia this year, I love costume, especially Bai lu in red colour she is Very beautiful. Wonderful CGI effects , I like bai shuo's shifu his way of speech is funny, and finally second lead got a girl in this , I feel like as a demon lord Fan yue has no power compared to others even Tian hua has more power it seems.. A tale of love, sacrifice and victory over evil
For a xianxia, it was well done. They tied the story neatly and the pacing was alright by present xianxia standards though I believe it could have been just 30 episodes.Set design and costume 🌌👗 - 10/10 . It deserves a pinterest board. The celestial themes have especially been done quite well. It does make the actors look heavenly. The male lead looked ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and bailu carried her costumes quite well too.
Plot 🤓 - Its mostly about cultivating by experiencing the joys and miseries of life. The FL does the heavylifting here and ML has been slightly sidelined here in terms of depth of his arc though he had a good screen time. It also explores the themes of reincarnation and has the usual politics beyween different sects and realms.
The supporting cast is excellent and their character developent and stories have been given enough breathing time and respect that they deserved.
Chemistry ❤️❤️ - The chemistry is truly amazing and the romance is mature. The bond is not unnatural at all. Its more of a natural progression of their "professional relationship" into a personal one.
Music 🎵🎶- Loved the music. Its memorable!

Visually stunning with fantastic supporting cast
When I first started watching this drama, I honestly thought a lot of it was a bit corny. It seemed to be a typical xianxia setting and plot, and whatever humour they had in it just seemed forced. However, as time went on and the episodes progressed, I realized how very wrong my first impressions were.This drama had so much heart - it wasn't so much that the plot was groundbreaking, but that every scene was crafted with care, and where every character had their own complex personality that made everything emotionally moving. It wasn't just about romantic love, but also about familial love and the theme of found family.
The chemistry between everyone was great, but special shoutout to the leads who played the intricacies of a couple so well. Sometimes it's the small things that make a drama, and the casual intimacies between the two of them as well as the persevering openness and trust between them, is what makes this a standout amongst the many xianxias that thrive on misunderstandings and miscommunication.
A big kudos to the whole cast and production because this was one of the most visually beautiful xianxia I have ever watched, from the costumes (well, okay, maybe not the Lanling sect), to the makeup, to the sets, to the cgi. The opening OST with the voiceovers was also maybe one of my favourite openings in any drama ever.
This truly has become one of my top xianxia. If you're a fan of the genre, this is, in my opinion, a must watch.

GOOD STORY BUT
All the actors have done a good job in portraying their roles. BaiLu is indeed a good actress, and even the male lead proved himself great. Supporting characters were well picked. The chemistry was good between the leadsThe story itself is nothing new, but it was captivating, and you would not feel bored. However, sometimes it loses its logic, a lot of characters died with no good reason, the ending was a bit off for me, they killed everyone but MFL and ML who by the way died 100 times in the drama but they managed to revive him while all the other characters just vanished. i wish they gave us a more convincing ending
Overall, it is a one time watch drama, if you love Bailu or if you enjoy these types of fantasy dramas
