Ye Xin Zhi can finally check nemesis revenge off his bucket list. 80% goes to reparations for the people he bailed on ten years ago and 20% for severance packages for his current staff. If there’s no illegal activity there is even opportunity for Wen to make a comeback. The thing is, once his plan came to fruition, there wasn’t the sense of satisfaction he expected. Here he seems like Xu Chi when she lost the apartment goal. So where does he go from there? Wen figured it out, and even knew he deserved it, but he caveated Xin Zhi’s win with a warning. He reminded Xin Zhi who trained him and pointed to Xu Chi as his trainee. Wen pointed out that Xu Chi was colder and more ruthless than he had been so not to expect things to go easier for him when it hit. At MaxMise Xu Chi was getting boxed into insurance since she was the corporate expert. She had other plans in the direction she wanted to go and had a chat with Bu TianNa and Lin. Xu Chi picked plan B which was moving to C&C Consultants where the workplace and project choices was much more flexible. Xin Zhi was surprised with this news after returning from a series of business trips. He wanted to take time off to travel with Xu Chi and she wanted to get through two projects and be a project manager. She also did not want to be moved to his team so she could earn her own way and wanted to be quieter about their relationship. The one thing that is still stumping me is when she and Bu TianNa were chatting and that ring was eye level why not a single word about it. This still feels a bit off cause there’s no way girls don’t show off their new sparklies. At the start of the episode Bu TianNa and Zhao Heng are still avoiding each other. Xu Chi went with there’s more fish in the sea so not to worry. But she also reminded that the same held true for Zhao He g and he could just leave the company and go off with somebody new. Zhao Heng found himself drug to an I’m;romptu meeting with her dad and associates and announced as her bf.🤣😂🫣😝He was both stunned and pleased. He came over with the proper gifts for dinner and the silent treatment started. Little brother did his best to be distraction for her. Bu TianNa went with the shock factor of being pregnant and Xhao Heng got a good slap for it. After he assured the dad that was spite talking not reality, they got down to business, literally. Zhao Heng knew the best way to counter the dad’s misgivings was to lay it all out in business terms where he stood. No stocks in their company, all projects together would represent how he loved BuTianNa and all management positions would be dropped the second they were no longer a couple. He gave the offer that dad couldn’t refuse. That was kinda awesome how he held his own with that powerhouse of a businessman. So they are one big happy for now at least and now that Xu Chi is heading off to C&C, BuTianNa is seriously considering going back to dad’s company and take on the heiress role. She and Xu Chi are having their regular girl get together and this time I didn’t notice the ring necklace and there still was no chat about her relationship. There is also a hint of foreboding for Xin Zhi. It started with his friend teasing of her surpassing him, and now followed up by Wen’s warning that it was when not if and Xin Zhi would have a harder fall than he did because she was far cooler and more ruthless than Xin Zhi. It is inevitable that at some point her surpassing him will be likely. What will their relationship be at that point? Is he really her safe place as he wants to be, or her stepping stone to project manager and higher tier clients?
