New projects and old insecurities

Xu Chi finds herself tagged by the new boss to work on his project. She found herself blocked in and even though she told Xin Zhi she wasn’t going to be on the team, she ended up having to tell him how she was roped in. He was far from happy because it saw her in over her head with a boss that might hold her accountable. His words going out for air triggered her with her dad’s desertion after saying that. He knew better than to leave things sit and followed her home where she could let him know why his words had such an effect. Thanks to the combination of effort XinZhi’s project was accepted. Xu Chi came through with her game knowledge and research to make a wavering client reconsider and Xin Zhi followed up with the direction they were considering and why better for them which saved the day and turned it to time of celebration. I liked that he took her to his high school to share some of his history with her. But TianNa got some intel from her brother and thought she was rescuing Zhao Heng from her dad to find out Zhao Heng set up the meeting. He was trying to assist Bu TianNa and she did not appreciate the interference and lack of prior warning. This set off a whole argument from Zhao Heng about how little she valued him as a person and he’d had enough. He had meticulously outlined what he believed a good course for Bu TianNa and their family company to prosper and succeed. He was tired of the rumors of being the kept man and her distrust of him even when she had to admit he never spent any of her money or betrayed her in any fashion. He was looking out for her future because he truly loved her. I agree it was a bit heavy handed but she was bored with her job and he was the better of the two at getting the big picture. I hope she bothers to check out his business plan. She is lamenting to XuChi when Lin calls that Zhao Heng accepted a petroleum project and would be in Venezuela for two months. Bu TianNa is treating that as official break up notice. He is still wanting an equal partner. He loved her enough to take her head on with their future knowing the risk. I am thinking the dad appreciates this effort more than his daughter. I agree she has reason to be angry, but she should have checked it out before she made a bunch of assumptions. New projects are throwing curveballs at relationships this episode. Xu Chi and XinChi have made up but the company is grumbling that he didn’t take on the boss’ faltering project and she is taking advantage of their resources to move up. The boss is not happy with how any of this is going down. Waiting to see how this impacts our two lovebirds.
