Both dramas are time travel dramas where someone (or multiple people) travel back in time. They are both set in the modern time, but go back to the 1990s, which could maybe impact the future...
Both stories are focused on high school and friendship. They both have romance and bromance, but also deal with some heavy topics.
Differences are in the focus of the story, the way they could time travel, and the genre:
Whereas Twinkling Watermelon is much sweeter and has some comedy in it, Someday or One Day is a thriller. They also end very differently.

Though completely different genre and countries, one of MLs (main, not male) is/are death.
Similarities - see your love - a bl story about two boys, one happens to be death, and another starts learning sign language; Twinkling watermelon - a boy lives with parents and brother - all death, so he connects them with the world, returns to the past, finds his young parents and tries to prevent them from catastrophe , and his relationships with father - are pure bromance - friends.

Synopsis
The drama tells the story of how an ordinary girl Xia Guo chooses when faced with two different choices, and what happens. The drama is presented in parallel time and space. The different choices of the heroine will lead to different endings. There are the challenges and dilemmas of the big city; but on the other hand, there is the stability and triviality of the small town. In life it is always necessary to make concessions, without fear of loss, and moving forward to embrace that sense of the "extraordinary." If life could have other versions, and the "if" could be experienced, what would it look like? The drama realizes this "if" so that the heroine experiences two lives in parallel. How she will handle those choices is the big question.
"I live elsewhere" (from original title in chinese).

As I watch this, this has a lot of similarities to Twinkling Watermelon. It's about a son who travels back in time and helps his father. The only difference is that in Nanfan Family, he's not trying to help his father avoid an accident, but rather help his father not live a poor life. He also helps his father get together with his mom. The son and young father also have a funny/cute brotherly relationship

The female lead in gear me: our summer has a lot in common with twinkling watermelons male lead, and the male lead in hear me to the female lead in twinkling watermelon. While hear me doesnt have any relation to time skip, it has the same comfort vibes as twinkling watermelon. It has a much more mature aura but both are a fun watch

twinkling watemelon is more dramatic and affectioning while back to the 90's is more comedic.
the common points are:
son from the future is going back to the 90's era to discover that he meets his young version of father and mother having all the same age
the father of male lead is within a musical band and the male lead will be his best friend, joining him in playing guitar and composing songs.
the male lead will be in a mission to make his father and mother ending up together after meeting a girl who is the female lead having a crush for his father.
the male lead will be working on changing the fate of these characters without feeling he will be falling for the female lead.
the phone booth is the mean to time travel between two different periods of time
the female lead is too a musician and will be ended falling for the male lead in the end of the trip.
