Just a small story - one time watch

I would like to start with saying female lead was not perfect for this role. They should have casted someone else for this role(This is just my personal opinion). Writers try to include most aspect of one persons life in this drama which was nice. They tried to show us friendship and love. There was some unwanted storyline in this series which was dragging.
Jo Yoon Seo did a exceptional job. The way she acted as Bang Eun Joo, she was not acting, she was actually living the role. When she appeared on screen we will feel like going and kicking her.

Scenic beauty of the place that have shown in this dram is damn good.

Refreshing lovable new drama

I was getting a little tired of the typical story lines in kdrama and I was kind of stuck with other dramas nothing excited me until this came out. Love it from begging to end. It felt refreshing to watch.
The focus on the FL trip and the ML alongside the hardships they had to go through and the time they missed together yet no was ever enough to destroy their love felt so warm-hearted for me.
If I would ask something from those drama is a more extended happy ending cause I really love those, I'll just have to imagine it all by myself.
if you got the chance watch it it's totally worthy. I cry, laugh and love alongside the characters and story, gonna truly miss it.

on episode 13

I can deal with predictable story lines but I draw the line at actors with no chemistry. The main leads should never be love interests in another drama . I'm sorry. I forced myself to push through for Wookie there was no flow to this drama. Watched most of it in 1.25 and even 1.5x speed.

Lastly, the voices of some of the aunties is CRINGE.

Bad plot!

Crafting a true-to-life female protagonist involves avoiding stereotypes. Strength should be portrayed authentically, including vulnerability and growth. A diverse background adds depth, and navigating everyday challenges contributes to a nuanced narrative. Emphasizing the protagonist's support system showcases interconnectedness, challenging the notion of solitary strength. Instead of portraying her as "useless" in simple problems, highlight growth, learning, and adaptability. Real strength lies in resilience and overcoming challenges, fostering a relatable and authentic character.

Love

I’ve watched a lot of shows in my lifetime and this one moved me so much that I’m taking the time to write this review.
This is a really great Story, and I believe that you will enjoy the show. I can share with you that I felt happiness, sadness and am feeling blessed to have watched this show. It moved me that much. The characters were relatable and felt as though I knew them. I began to feel as though I was part of the story being told. I binged watched the entire 16 episodes and couldn’t wait until the next one was released. It was that good for me.

Top 3 Dramas

This drama holds a special place in my heart it was so healing to get a childhood friendship to romance but to them come back to it years later when you are now more mature. I loved the friendship group so much there was never any drama for no reason and they always had Sam Dals back when she returned. Chang Wook had a stunning performance as always from his emotional trauma with his parent to his loser lover vibes with Sam Dal. There was so many comical moments that actually had ,e laughing during this and I felt the mini scenes at the end of every episode really got us to see the best in Yong Pil and Sam Dals relationship. Another aspect of the show that held my heart was the sisterhood in it and they had it spot on as they were always there for each other no mater what was going on in each others lives, all 3 sisters had me captivated with their love story that I just kept on clicking next episode.
I will never forget Sam Dals photography expedition when the whole village come together to really pick her up and show that she did not need Seoul to succeed, it was so beautifully done that it had me shedding tears .
Overall I will be watching again as it has so many plus points such as Jeju natural beauty, friendship, loss, love, sisterhood and some of the best character development

I need to stop crying!

What can I say about this drama. It's amazing from every side that you see it. I've cried so much almost in every ep. The feelings of each story were expressed were so loud (a big thanks to all actors for that). Their love made me shutter each time. Perhaps it is bc of some personal experience that got me affected even more. I tried everytime to focus on the series and stop recalling my past. So let's start from somewhere.

What in the Voldemort type obsession was that of Bang Eun Joo with Sam-dal? What kind of person acts so slyly. In the end the truth comes to surface. Dishonest ppl lose their power. Especially when you base your whole life/career on the achievements/ideas of someone else. So toxic to try to manipulate ppls feelings for your success.

Main characters love story is amazing. The detail with the red string theory melted me. Their feelings never shut down for each other. The respect they showed for each others family had me speechless. They put aside their relationship to keep their parents happy. Even if they were hurting every single moment. And they showed with all means that it wasn't just a teenage love. It was their whole life. They were meant to be together and that's it. They faced way to many unfortunate levels, but in the end their love helped them surpass all of them. I'm jealous of their love. I'm jealous of the way they look each other or how considerate they are. Even after years they still know the other person better than their own self and that's true love, that's caring.

The mothers story is heartbreaking. Their bond was so special and Sam-dals mother will never forgive herself till the day she dies. The pain and memory will hunt her forever and won't let her feel in peace. The guilt can't be overwatched. She'll be her forever platonic other half. The consistent hate of Yong-pils father towards Ms. Ko hides to much depression bc he never found the way to move on. The moment he finally accepted the past and made peace with Sam-dals family showed that deep down his hate wasn't in reality hate but pain.

The big 5 friendship is also so strong. They all protect each other, protecting a little more their only female friend of the group like shes their princess. Even though they haven't been in touch for years, they acted like not even a day has passed since they last spoken. And that's true friendship.

Lastly, the small somehow village society reminds me of my own neighborhood and village. Everyone knows everything. Even if you tried to hide, you can't bc there are eyes everywhere. The rumors and news spread quickly. The only way to escape this circle is for you to abandon this place and move out. Like the characters tried to do to persuade their dreams. Not everyone succeeds, but not everyone fails. Some will come back, some will continue their lives somewhere else but that doesn't change the fact that this place will be their forever home (if their lives there were good and not full of drama and toxicity).

Warm and sunny ☀️

I wish Cho Yong-pil was real.

Recommended by a friend because I loved hometown cha cha cha. The small town beachy vibes were so fun to revisit, but I loved the look into a relationship that already had so much history and the plotlines about family, grief, and healing that came with it. The secondary couples were a delight to follow too. I’d love to see a show in the future following either of them, but especially her younger sister and President Dolphin. A classic I’ll be thinking of for a long time 🤍

Woah. WOW

This drama was just sensational! It was soooo good. The story was just 💯. So this drama is about two people that are childhood sweethearts but have a tragic and unfair breakup, and it's just about them finding their way back..home. It's also about how different people dealt with a tragedy that happened and how that affected people around them, I'm trying my best to not give away spoilers. But this drama was absolutely amazing. Frickin brilliant! It's basically about a forbidden love that is incredibly beautiful and so strong. The plot is sooo good. I can't explain HOW GOOD it is it's That good. And the music was mMmMMmM SO Cool!!! Ahh This drama was soo perfect! And to top it all off the acting of the cast was INCREDIBLE, I LOVED THEM. They've done a Really good job, Oh I loved watching the cast on screen sooo much. Every single member on screen was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Overall, This is a REALLY DAMN good drama about a melancholic forbidden love and a tragedy. Basically Absolutely beautiful story and plot. 📷🖼👩‍💼💞🧑‍💼🌦🗺

A Refreshing Gem: "Welcome to Samdalri" is a Comforting K-Drama

I'm compelled to share my thoughts on this delightful drama, which has left a lasting impression on me. "Welcome to Samdalri" is a true gem that has captured my heart with its gentle, refreshing story and lovable characters.

As someone who tends to avoid heavy dramas and frustrating villains, I was thrilled to find that this show exceeded my expectations in every way. The female lead shines brightest, with a growth arc that's both inspiring and relatable. I was particularly impressed by the way the community rallied around her, offering support and encouragement on her journey.

The small town setting is also noteworthy, with its picturesque scenery and warm atmosphere that feels like a cozy hug. It's no wonder that this drama has become a comfort watch for many fans.

What struck me most, however, was the drama's ability to soothe my frazzled nerves after watching another intense K-drama, "Queen of Tears". This show was the perfect antidote to the stress and angst I had accumulated, and I found myself fully immersed in its gentle charm.

If you're looking for a lighthearted, feel-good K-drama that will leave you feeling uplifted and comforted, look no further than "Welcome to Samdalri".
