Very eloquently written. Both ML (Elite Lawyer Xu Huai Song) and FL (Writer Ruan Yu) are likeable. The first part was the getting together part (through the plagiarism case) where they're doing recon and gauging each other's intentions (fully aware that the other person is their high school secret love but both pretending to not know each other- that's becoz she wrote her high school experiences and encounters with him in a diary and he wrote them as 327 drafts in his cell phone- they didn't confess to each other then as each didn't know the feelings of the other). When they meet again after 8 years, ( and how they meet is a story in itself thanks to Xu Huaisong and Xu Huaishi -his sister) they pretend to not know each other. The dialogues and internal monologue were too good here. Imagine an author trying to talk out a lawyer 😂😂. Ruan Yu was almost fooled by Xu Huai Song's perfect acting skills. All the interactions she had with him were infact his long cherished schemes! 

Enough lovey-dovey moments, but the story also narrated the dubious nature of law enforcement, plus some crime cases and family dynamics. Just the right amount of fluff and drama. 

Plot Synopsis:

At the age of 28, Ruan Yu decided to give up her stable job and focus on writing full-time. She began to write novels based on her own emotional experiences and posted them online. Unexpectedly, netizens pointed out that the plot of her novel was suspected of plagiarism. Ruan Yu decided to defend her rights. After many twists and turns, she found that the intellectual lawyer she cooperated with happened to be her high school crush and the prototype of the male protagonist of her novel, Xu Huaisong. The two met again because of the case and were attracted to each other again during their time together. The feelings that had accumulated over the years fermented under the memories and became stronger in the test of reality. Faced with new challenges in their respective careers, the two fought side by side, encouraged each other, and finally ushered in the "belated joy" in their careers and love. 

Why is it"fateful love "- They indeed had encountered a miracle.

The City leaders who issued the order to demolish the old neighborhood; Grandma Xu whose cell phone broke down; Xu Huaishi who rewrote the drafts into a novel; and Cen Sisi who made havoc in the plagiarism incident; all of them played indispensable roles for this miracle to happen.

But what was the start of this miracle?

The start of this miracle was the fact that Xu Huaisong had taken the battery out before he stored his old phone. It saved the cell phone and the 327 drafts he hadn't sent to her. Subconsciously, he must've subconsciously,  kept a sliver of hope about Ruan Yu when he was about to leave the country..
