Strong Start

Now this is how you hook the audience from the first episode itself. So so good. The music, the brightness seems more, but I guess that's just the cinematic choices to differentiate US and China. Always love Miles, be it any of his drama. The FL, this is her second drama I am watching. The first was Twelve Letters. But here she is doing great job as FL. In the last scene of this episode, the acting sums it up that she was the right choice.great episode. Looking forward to next episode.

When Fiction Mirrors Reality

First Impression
Such a strong and intriguing opening—already messy, emotional, and full of drama.

Episode Thoughts
We start with RY, a successful writer stuck in a year-long creative slump. Hoping to find inspiration, she returns home and revisits her old school diaries, where she rediscovers memories of her secret crush. This sparks a new story—but believing it ended sadly, she rewrites it with a happier twist, imagining that he liked her back.

Things quickly spiral when she’s accused of plagiarism. Her story is almost identical to another one posted online, and no one can understand why. The truth? That “other story” is actually her crush’s real feelings—recorded on an old phone and unknowingly published online by his younger sister.

The situation snowballs fast. The sister tries to fix things by claiming she bought the outline, but it only makes things worse—especially with another author at RY’s agency using the scandal to try and push her out of the industry. Amid online hate and pressure, RY decides to fight back legally.

And then comes the twist… her mum sets her up on a blind date with a lawyer—who just so happens to work at her crush’s firm. When she goes to the law firm, she unexpectedly runs into HXS himself. The tension, the timing, the shock—everything hits perfectly.

Character Notes
• RY (FL): Determined and emotionally driven. I like that she keeps a cool head despite everything blowing up around her.
• HXS (ML): Already giving that calm, capable lawyer energy. The fact he has no idea about the situation makes this even more interesting.
• Younger Sister: Her mistake really sets everything in motion—messy but kind of understandable.
• Agency Rival: Already shady… clearly going to be a problem.

Final Thoughts
This is such a solid start for a modern romance—mixing nostalgia, misunderstandings, and a legal twist. The setup is chaotic in the best way, and I’m already invested in how everything will unfold.

Favourite Moment
RY walking into the law firm and unexpectedly coming face-to-face with HXS—THE tension.

Trope Check
• Childhood crush
• Misunderstanding / false accusation
• Hidden feelings revealed
• Coincidental reunion
• Lawyer x writer
• Public scandal
• Workplace rivalry

Mr. Wrong Hand

What if your biggest love story started with embarrassment and emotional damage? We meet a writer, slightly struggling, slightly delusional, fully still in love with a man from years ago. And honestly? Same.Because the way her story starts??A New Year’s countdown with fireworks and a soft moment. He holds her hand and then goes: “oops wrong hand.”SIR????That one scene alone explains her entire personality. I would also become a writer and rewrite my life if that happened to me. P.S. I do that lol. What I love is how the episode moves between past and present her current life feels calm, almost ordinary, but underneath it? She’s still stuck in that one unfinished feeling. Meanwhile, HE (Mr. Wrong Hand) is out there being successful, calm, composed, lawyer-coded while she’s out here fighting writer’s block, plagiarism accusations, and her own feelings. Also can we talk about the yearning level in just ONE EPISODE??Because nothing is even happening yet butbut EVERYTHING is happening. It’s giving:what if that one almost-love never left yo u?
