In one of the two main characters, the Japanese singer Yu Teng Yang (also known by the simple abbreviation YU) in the role of Zhou Shu Yi caught my attention with his interesting physicality and acting, and this is his acting debut.
Krásný dárek od Škaredého Káčatka a Susannah v podobě titulků k tomuto novotou zářícímu taiwanskému seriálu - první sérii. Jak píše Susannah na jejich stránkách, abychom se nezapoměli podívat na úplný konec za závěrečnými titulky v posledním šestém dílu a také já nadávám a doufám, že druhá série bude rovněž tak dobrá.
Zaujal mě v jedné ze dvou hlavních postav zajímavým fyzičnem i herectvím japonský zpěvák Yu Teng Yang (známý též pod jednoduchou zkratkou YU) v roli Zhou Shu Yi, přitom je to jeho herecký debut.

A timeless BL
I’ve watch this drama at least twice a year no lie. It’s quick but also very fulfilling. The emotions you can feel from the main characters but also the supporting roles are chefs kiss. The soundtrack is amazing and the executive of the story devoured. The only down side to this drama is the length of it. Taiwanese BL drama!
At first i was not into this story since i was still hooked in other bl dramas in other country. But being recommended by some fujoshi and fudanshi i was eager to watched it.Story...
Yup, first taiwanese bl drama that i've watched, and it was so good. Being curious at the title of the story at first and ended up loving it and wanting more - because it has 12 mins in 6 episode.
Acting/cast...
The cast was so great. I love the main couple. Being mysterious type guy of Gao Shi De, the lovable and clingy type guy of Zhou Shu Yi. They were really into their character. They were really cute. And their boy best friends that starting to like each other because they were being left out by them. The cousin of Gao Shi De, i really want to know his story. The development of the character was unexpected.
Music...
I was into the music. It really matches the story.
Rewatched and over all value...
If you want a light and lovable story, it is recommendable. Yup. It is new and very refreshing story. Watched it multiple times because i really can't get over with the main couple. I hope it has another season.

The chemistry between the couple is just chef's kiss its been like 2years since i watched it but still i re-watch it again and again not feeling any boredom the acting script how it potrayed it amazing...i recommend people to watch it
The unrequited love how it executed and how the story went not too rush nor too slow the pacing of it just awesome

What a wonderful love story
This was so wholesome! I loved it so much, i watched it in one sitting. The dynamics and chemistry between the leads was amazing! Add great kisses and it's all complete.All the actors did a great job, i also liked both other ouples, their dynamics were also very good.
The visuals and music were also very beautiful, definatly a must watch!

Love comes when you least expect it.
You know, I think there are a lot more people that like the second season of this show more than this first one - which is understandable because the second season was intriguing and grappling. It definitely grabbed the viewers attention but nothing is without its first counterpart - alas, We Best Love: No.1 For You.Every once in a while, a really really good Taiwanese bl will come into your life and you will watch it and think about it for the REST of your life. For me, that bl has always been WBL. My favourite trope is academic rivals to lovers and this show does it the best I have ever seen it been done. I love unexpected love so much. I do not want to spoil anything for future watchers but watching this show makes me feel so giddy and I have seen it 3 times now. (ps. I RARELY rewatch shows).
It is the perfect pace - not too fast, not too slow. Declarations of love are so beautifully done (I'm talking about the confession scenes btw) and most importantly, the characters are so soft-spoken. Watching this show feels like a soft kiss on the cheek or like you're petting a soft purring cat. I love it. I may be biased but I just love it - it is peak comfort vibes.
I like the university setting and the fact that it starts off at the pool - I love swimming so I literally just feel like this show was made for me. I will admit that this is a very personal review and many others may not feel the same way about this show as I did but who knows? Maybe a future watcher like you, might read this review and decide to listen to this crazy lady's words and give this show a go.

Acting you can believe
The plot is unremarkable but what makes this show watchable are scenes that are genuinely funny, touching and romantic and look natural (‘mum comes home early’ is a prime example). All of this is helped by lead actors who actually look comfortable together and whose intimacy is therefore convincing. One of the behind the scenes videos shows some of the exercises they did to become physically at ease with each other — sooo interesting! I also loved how they broke into Japanese some of the time. I’ve watched this so many times I’ve lost count. No seriously—this isn’t just a BL, it’s THE BL. My fave. My blueprint. I will make my future partner to watch it at least once because this is what love and romance should feel like. Period.The characters?? Top tier. Chemistry?? Through the roof. Acting?? Left. No. Crumbs. They devoured every scene. That play date episode? That whipped Gao Shi De energy? ICONIC.
The screenplay was elite, like you blink and you’re 5 episodes deep and emotionally attached. The rivals-to-lovers arc?? They didn’t just understand the assignment—they wrote the syllabus.
And Zhou Shu Yi?? Literal soft baby. His confession had me in a chokehold. I was crying, smiling, kicking my feet—all at once. Their love story is everything. Tender. Chaotic. Real. So emotional.
AND LISTEN—those kisses?? Sensual as hell. I’m talking soul-touching, cinematic, emotionally loaded. I need more of this series just for that. I said what I said. 😤🔥
Forever rewatch-worthy. Forever obsessed. 💘😭✨

Was not expecting much from this BL but boy oh boy was i so wrong!! I am totally in love with japanese dropping words from Yu and Sam...these boy men are so dang hot especially inside the pool!!Well done Taiwan 🇹🇼...i am so hooked!! 100%
There are so many other characters that the 1st episode did not touch on so i am sure they would be appearing in the coming eps.

Simple yet great
I love this show.I love these characters.
I love how they got together.
I love their love story.
I love their relationship.
I love how they are when they're together.
I love the confession scene.
They delivered a great take on the rivals to lovers & unrequited love to lovers tropes.
It probably has some problems but I don't care & I won't listen to anyone saying anything bad about it. It's basically perfect and I won't entertain any critique saying otherwise.
It's a good show and it deserved its second season.

É um clichê legal, se você quer uma história clássica ( pelo menos até o 6 episódio) ela é pra você. Obviamente que nem tudo é óbvio mas deixa uma ideia do que provavelmente irá acontecer. Mas é ótimo, eu recomendo, me fez chorar e AMAR os personagem que são super legais. Me fez rir também, o que é ótimo.Estou ansiosa para ver o desfecho pois agora entramos na parte da história que é inesperada e que nos deixa muuuito curiosos, o que é ótimo.
Espero manter a nota atual até o fim kakakaka.
