One of my favorite ennemies to lovers
(English is not my first language so please excuse any mistakes)I've watched this one year ago and I decided to watch it again so I could write a review on MDL. Well my vision of this BL didn't change. It is still one of my favorite ennemies to lovers.
It wasn't a format as long a Thaï BL which last around 1h/episode so I was afraid, with only six episodes of 30 minutes, I would be frustrated, and the story not well developed. But I was extremely surprised, in a good way, how well the story was told, and how natural it seemed for me to perceive how Shu Yi fell for Gao de. When watching BL I often question the plot, the directing, and the actors because it seems that one of the protagonist suddenly fell in love with the other and we don't understand why. However it is not the case here, we can clearly see Shi Yi fall for Gao de.
Acting is not perfect ofc but it's definitely very good and nice to watch.
I'd like to mention one thing which I kinda disliked : the scene on the bridge, when Shi Yi confess his love, Gao De tell him : "I thought you didn't like boys". And SY answers this "only because it's you".
Which means that Shi Yi "is not gay he has just fallen for a man".
Ofc, you can fall in love and don't care about the gender, but I don't like how in some BL drama the "straight guy" is still straight and just fall for a man because that's life who wanted this to happen. Just my personal opinion but I'd like to know what others think about that "issue".
Apart this little thing I totally recommend it! Now I'm gonna rewatch season 2 to post my review on MDL!

Rewatching it!
I already watched this BL drama "We Best Love" 2 weeks ago but I love it so much and wanna rewatch it again already. In the first season, I thought it was so pure and beautiful!! the romance between the main leads is so cute!! In the second season, the romance went from cute to ultimate hotness!! Very mature and classy, loved it!! I'll be honest the second couple is kind of unnecessary.I still cannot get over this drama along with "I told Sunset About You," both left a huge impact on me.
What a coincidence, just realized both dramas are "rivals to lovers' which is my favorite trope!

Acting, cinematography, osts are the best!!
I never write any review before, but for this masterpiece I just have to!! First of all, the storyline is not complicated but this is the interesting part. Because the storyline is the common one, it's gonna be difficult to get many viewers but this series made it! How can? Then we go to the second reason, acting!! Both main leads' acting are way too good. The chemistry they have, the way they potray their roles so we can fall deeper into the characters and feel like we are them. We can feel what they feel. Next one is the soundtracks. All of them are masterpiece!! Have been playing all the ost repeatedly. The ost makes the scenes more interesting.Okay that's all.
I don't know if this review can make you watch WBL or not, but please try to watch it if you haven't, I promise it won't dissapoint you >.<

I love it so far
This drama is not complete, but its already my favourite BL drama. I am going to watch it many times again. The chemistry between the actors are so good, they make such a cute couple. I really am looking forward to the second season.
The music just completes the series for me. It matches so well.
The plot is really interesting, both characters pull it of very well. I am absolutely in love with this BL its been a while since I enjoyed a series like this.
I only wish that the episodes were longer, I really want to see more heart fluttering moments of the leads.

Traditional BL Storyline with a healthy modern feel
If you're no stranger to BL content this won't disappoint, it has all the elements we look for to make our hearts skip a beat. For the past couple of years a struggle between the BL genre that came from Japan and the LGBTQ tag were at odds because the community felt it wasn't realistic. Although, no matter how realistic a story is in media, its still media bias and entertainment. Nowadays the spectrum has better developed itself so BL like this one- stays in its BL genre but also gives room for more modern demands like allowing characters to be gay without saying "I don't like just anyone, I will only like that guy if it's him." So if you want a BL drama that follows that path, this is the one for you. if you want a little more reality check out "I told sunset about you." Bottom line, this is must watch for BL lovers, but I'm sure you OG's out there will have already clicked on the show ;)Was this review helpful to you?
Fabulous
I know there are better and more qualitative BLs out there, I know , yet for me this is the best . I love every single thing about it, from acting to music and to how absolutely gorgeous that little tsundere is. I’m aware that 10 out of 10 it’s not an objective rating but see if I care. I. LOVED. IT.Was this review helpful to you?
One of my favourites
After watching so many BLs with zero chemistry and actors who look like they want to run away from the set, finally We Best Love came and saved me. It really broke the streak and honestly went straight onto my list of all-time favorites.Even before I passed the first 10 minutes, I already knew I would like it. Rivals to lovers is my absolute weakness. Every time I eat it up like crazy. And wow, the chemistry between Shou Yi and Shi De… maybe the best I’ve ever seen. Their acting made me forget this was even a drama. Usually when actors are stiff, I start thinking things like, “Ah, how embarrassing must it have been to film this scene?” But here I was just fully inside the story, like I was watching real life. And thank god, no dead-fish kisses! They kissed like people who were really in love, which is unfortunately so rare in bls. That alone made me so happy I wanted to clap.
I loved both of them so much, but honestly, Sam Lin stole my heart. He was shining the whole time. Please, someone cast him again as a BL main lead. He is too handsome, it actually hurts. T_T
I can’t even nitpick.. I tried to think of something negative to balance my review, but nothing comes. My mind is empty. We Best Love is just amazing, that’s it!

They really be da best
How do you review We Best Love: No. 1 For You when your main memories are competitive energy, unresolved tension, and Sam Yu existing? This series really looked at the enemies-to-lovers trope and said, "What if we made it gayer, softer, and infinitely more painful?"
Zhou Shu Yi spent years believing he was destined to be number one at everything until Gao Shi De casually appeared and made "ruining Shu Yi's peace" his full-time job.
The problem?
Shi De wasn't trying to take Shu Yi's spot.
He was trying to get Shu Yi to notice him.
And somehow that made everything infinitely worse and infinitely better at the same time.
Sam Lin and Yu delivered one of the most natural and effortless chemistries in Taiwanese BL. Every teasing remark, every argument, every jealous glance, and every vulnerable moment felt genuine.
Shu Yi's frustration was hilarious because honestly? The man was fighting for his life trying not to fall in love while Shi De had apparently been in love with him since the invention of electricity.
The beauty of No. 1 For You is that it understood something important:
Sometimes love isn't loud.
Sometimes it's years of quietly showing up for someone.
Sometimes it's remembering the little things.
Sometimes it's letting them win even when you could easily come first.
The supporting cast deserves their flowers too. Pei Shou Yi and Yu Zhen Xuan brought warmth and humor, while the friendships and group dynamics made the university setting feel alive and believable.
And can we appreciate the people behind the camera for a moment?
Director Chiung Chi Chang understood exactly how to make silence feel louder than dialogue. The lingering looks, the pauses, the tiny moments of affection hidden beneath competition and banter — every scene felt intentional.
The production team knew exactly when to lean into comedy and exactly when to let the emotions hit. The pacing was tight, the storytelling was simple but effective, and the soundtrack somehow managed to make every emotional moment hurt just a little more.
This wasn't a series built on dramatic twists or grand gestures.
It was built on longing.
On timing.
On years of feelings waiting to be seen.
We Best Love: No. 1 For You wasn't just a university romance.
It was the story of one man realizing that his biggest rival had quietly been his biggest supporter all along.
10/10.
Would absolutely watch Gao Shi De spend years hopelessly in love while Zhou Shu Yi remained gloriously oblivious all over again.

In one of the two main characters, the Japanese singer Yu Teng Yang (also known by the simple abbreviation YU) in the role of Zhou Shu Yi caught my attention with his interesting physicality and acting, and this is his acting debut.

A timeless BL
I’ve watch this drama at least twice a year no lie. It’s quick but also very fulfilling. The emotions you can feel from the main characters but also the supporting roles are chefs kiss. The soundtrack is amazing and the executive of the story devoured. The only down side to this drama is the length of it. Still to this very day one of the best bl dramas ever made. Was this review helpful to you?

Taiwanese BL drama!
At first i was not into this story since i was still hooked in other bl dramas in other country. But being recommended by some fujoshi and fudanshi i was eager to watched it.Story...
Yup, first taiwanese bl drama that i've watched, and it was so good. Being curious at the title of the story at first and ended up loving it and wanting more - because it has 12 mins in 6 episode.
Acting/cast...
The cast was so great. I love the main couple. Being mysterious type guy of Gao Shi De, the lovable and clingy type guy of Zhou Shu Yi. They were really into their character. They were really cute. And their boy best friends that starting to like each other because they were being left out by them. The cousin of Gao Shi De, i really want to know his story. The development of the character was unexpected.
Music...
I was into the music. It really matches the story.
Rewatched and over all value...
If you want a light and lovable story, it is recommendable. Yup. It is new and very refreshing story. Watched it multiple times because i really can't get over with the main couple. I hope it has another season.
