Short, fluffy, and sweet Highschool to Workplace BL
A gentle workplace-reunion BL that starts off cute but doesn’t quite reach its full emotional potential. While the short format limits deeper character development, the series delivers its fair share of sweet, awkward moments and a nostalgic high school charm—especially in the game-like cutscenes that often outshine the main plot. Chemistry between the leads wavers in adulthood but glows in flashbacks. Bonus points for a heartfelt blog-entry finale, but minus some for emotional shortcuts and missing domestic intimacy. Overall, a light and watchable series—ideal for fans seeking something low-stakes and soft.🔹 Best feature: The pixel-style end scenes and teenage flashbacks
🔹 Vibe: Awkward soft boys learning to love again

A simplistic but sweet BL story
This is a short series about the journey of 2 school friends Shin Ki Tae and Lee Wan who meet after a period of 7 years and work together on creating a Dating simulation game while also discovering the feelings that they have for each other. If you feel that the story, I summarized is rather simple that is because it is. The series doesn’t waste much time and shows Lee Wan being interviewed for a job in the same company where his school crush Shin Ki Tae works. This brings back the feelings that Lee Wan tried to hide for so many years since he disappears from Shin Ki Tae’s life after confessing his love to him. While working together to develop the game, they spend a lot of time together and the unrequited love from the past blossoms in to a relationship.
The series is full of sweet and tender moments between the two characters, although at certain times it tries to portray the genuine fear Shin Ki Tae has about losing Lee Wan like he did some years ago. Looks like Lee Wan’s action of running away from Sin Ki Tae and losing all contact does cause serious trauma to him. The series flourishes thanks to the chemistry between the 2 actors and you feel that it is too short and you are left asking for more.
In conclusion, there is no ground-breaking storyline with strong messages. Instead, what you have is a sugar-coated love story between 2 long lost friends. Give this one a watch and you will find yourself smiling from start to end.

loved it.
First of all, I loved this drama. The only real thing I can say about this is that it was too short. it had 8 episodes of about 15 minutes. I just wish it was a bit longer. So I'm currently wishing for a second season.
the story was very good, though I wished they had gone into the pasts a bit more (they could've done this in the extra time I proposed earlier for instance). what I especially loved about this drama was the endings of the episodes. At the end of every episode there was this extra story from when they were still in high school. These were extremely cute and they really showed me how it could've gone if Lee Wan dared to express his feelings back then. (at least the last one).
The acting was super cute and well done. The chemistry between Lee Seung Gyu and Lee Jong Hyuk was really good and I'm exited to know whether or not they play together in another drama. The exchanges between them made the drama so cute in my eyes tbh.
The music was also well thought out and made some of the scenes shine even better than they would've if they had chosen different music.
The rewatch value is also pretty high since there's a chance I would watch this again. Which I don't do often. Only woth the ones I really like.
Overall this drama was very cute and I'd love to see another season.

Overall a perfect, cute romance
Acting and story is superb, nothing to critisise!I'll rewatch this A LOT, even tough I'm someone who's never rewachted anything, so this says a lot. 🧎🏻♀️The acting is so natural and the story is realistic too. Even tho the episodes are super short, it doesn't feel rushed at all. The emotions are portrayed perfectly with body language and how they talk (e.g. Stuttering, hesitating etc.). Wan is really shy but still mature (job,...) and his shyness surprisingly doesn't really affect him when talking to kitae after they got a bit closer again. Kitae is straightforward, especially about things he wants, and is therefore really good at flirting 😩😩*love it
But he's still a bit shy sometimes when it's about Wan ;)
I know there's still (sadly only) 2 episodes left, that I didn't see yet, but I feel like I'm already able to say that this is gonna be my favorite series for a long time (next to extraordinary you).
I long for a cute, unproblematic relationship like this, so I've felt butterflies in my stomach quite a few times😭🦋 kitae is definitely totally my type 🙈
Anyways I really recommend you watch this drama if you haven't already 🌸💗

Let’s be real- it wasn’t that good.
If you’re looking for a short love story with no deep meaning, this is the one for you. Things went WAY too fast. It was cute, but as someone who likes to thing about the meanings of what I’m watching, this had no real story. The actors were cute together, but it didn’t feel real. Watching this, it felt like one of those rip off reality TV series where the director is quite obviously telling them how to act.
I did like the idea of the Love Mate. I think the story was the thing that tied this show really together. How they met was cute, and I can totally see how people really enjoyed this.

Adorably sweet!
I was very pleasantly surprised by this drama! I picked it up without knowing much about it, just looking for something short and cute, and that was exactly what I found! The chemistry portrayed is incredible, from friends to crushes to boyfriends, it felt real all the way through. The pacing of the story was laid out skillfully, it never once felt too rushed or like it dragged on. Plot points have purpose and come back around, and the side characters get a decent amount of screentime as well as supporting characters!
The themes are explored and are given time to breathe, which is impressive given that this is such a short series. The actors did a beautiful job, and the production felt just right.
I loved that Gi Tae's feelings are explored as well as Lee Wan's, the episode that explored Gi Tae's fear of Lee Wan disappearing again was probably my favorite episode.
I think occasionally, things in the story can be a touch on the nose, but I don't see that as a negative, especially since it's not at all to an irritating degree.
I suppose my only one silly "gripe" (moreso just a funny thought; I understand the framing of the scene probably took precedent over the logic, which is fine since it's so minor) is how Lee Wan was still taking the couch even a year after living together with Gi Tae. Still, the scene, like the drama as a whole, was so incredibly cute that it made up for any fault I could possibly find for it.
Definitely somewhere in my top favorite BLs!

Cutest drama
I really really really liked this drama a lot it is so cute and sweet omg actors are cute and amazing at acting wow script was so neat and well done, it really gave me a touch of Korean series but only disappointing is only less than 20 mins if it had 1hr duration each episode awesome it was and thinking how the stories could be scripted in every details with more spicy things but anyway although it was short drama I didn’t feel it is less details each episode was more detailed and well explained and gave me touch of school memories too all the best to the team I hope they can make such dramas everyone do watch this drama it’s cute and I recommend itWas this review helpful to you?

If my future man ain’t crying and screaming when I’m gone for barely a day, I DONT WANT HIM
If my future man ain’t crying and screaming when I’m gone for barely a day, I DONT WANT HIMThis show was light and definitely will be going into my “fluffy” BLs. I will be rewatching this show my free time or whenever I am sad.
The two main characters had really could chemistry. And the whole team shitting on the CEO of the company was funny.
The whole game into a BL concept was also really cute. Both actors also looked like deer in the headlights in the BEST way possible.
Overall 9.5/10. Very cute and light.
Sorry for any grammar errors. English is my first language, I’m just bad at it.

Wholesome BL Reset
Loved the lack of needless drama where they break up or fight with no communication over anything. Instead, the characters made decisions we didn’t have to wait a half season to see the result of which allowed to actually see their relationship develop and blossom. They were super cute and sweet. I loved the incorporation of the flashbacks and how it tied in with the present day storyline. Was this review helpful to you?
