for every young person trying to figure out their life
i really didn't think i'd like this show as much as i did. it was such a fun journey.i really really think this is one of the best modern cdramas in a variety of aspects.
the plot was so interesting, every character and their story glued me to the screen. i LOVED how realistically they approached being a twenty-something in the big city while trying to find your place in the world, your career, love and friendships.
the soundtrack was incredible, thanks to this show i discovered a great band that i otherwise would have no knowledge of.
personally i'm not the biggest fan of how a big percentage of modern cdramas have extremely "fluffy" stories. usually lead characters meet each other from highschool and stay together onward without any realistic life situations. BUT this show was not like that at all. none of the characters were perfect. honestly while i was watching sometimes i couldn't help but get annoyed at their actions, but all of it felt like a big slice of life was being served up on a plate. it was funny, exciting, sad, annoying, scary-- honestly all the feelings your twenties should have.
a must watch for every twenty-something girl trying to figure out how she wants to live her life -including myself- :)

I don't like it.
In Between is an immature, greedy, deceitful, love-and-hatred–based drama. It revolves around two women who are struggling with their fate. Both of them are in relationships. One girl is in a relationship with an immature man. He does not know how to balance his personal and professional life. He is too absorbed in his work and hardly thinks about his girlfriend. They are in a long-distance relationship and mostly communicate through calls and messages. She often reminisces about their past—how they met and how much he once cared for her. Whenever she remembers those moments, she cries a lot, yet she continues the relationship. However, at a certain point, their bond weakens, and one day they break up.
Meanwhile, the other girl lives with her boyfriend in a live-in relationship. She is a successful woman in the corporate world and is ambitious to climb the career ladder. At the same time, she is serious and honest about her relationship and truly loves him. One day, she gets an opportunity that requires her to go abroad. When she informs him, he tells her to go ahead. However, at the airport, he is unsure whether he wants to continue the relationship, while she believes that their bond is still strong.
This is how both girls’ love stories begin and eventually fall apart. Later, both of them are betrayed by the same man, after which they slowly gather themselves, move on, and recover from their deceitful relationships.
Personally, I did not like the drama because it was overly emotional and sentimental. Many times, I felt irritated watching how the girls were repeatedly fooled by the man. Even during the confrontation, neither of them showed enough anger or resentment. If I were in their place, I would have slapped him and exposed his true colours in front of his fiancée.
The acting was good, but there were hardly any happy moments in the drama. It is simply not my kind of show.

Strong at the beginning, boring at the end
Among 3 girls, i like most is Sun Han HanHe zhi nan is a female lead but i dont like her character. It looks like she doesnt really know what her goal is in life. She doesnt have proper job, she always drinks all the time
Sun Han Han is not wrong. She didnt know at first if Zhou Bin is still married. She is a nice girl
I just dont like ZYT, she is just not my type.
Among all the guys, Yi Peng is the most disgusting character for me. He only wants to get a rich girl and doesnt have sense of loyalty at all. Cheating and cheating
This drama is unique, strong interesting at the beginning but become boring at the end

Better than it seems...
I started watching this series because I saw a fragment of it when scrolling on shorts. I just loved the attitude and charm of the characters, and it seemed quite... out there, which I liked. To be honest, if you simply summarise the events of the characters into a summary, the drama will seem to be a really drama, dramatic series that sounds a little whimsical. But when you watch the whole thing, the characters grow, and it just seems to be so meaningful, even touching, and I love the fact that the characters accept their cons instead of changing themWas this review helpful to you?
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (of adulthood)
This drama showed me the reality of adulthood, and I guess specifically womanhood. The three women have their own distinct personalities, ambitions, and values in life. (I don't wanna dwell on the men characters because men ain't shit lol)- Nan Nan is deeply a romanticist. She seemed to me as someone who just ~goes with the flow~, lives in the moment, and cherishes her relationships a lot. She can quite easily connect with others then get attached. This is both her strength and a weakness as well, for she can get caught up or blinded by her emotions.
- Han Han can also be quite romanticist. She is firm on her beliefs, on what she wants and what she deserves. She got caught up with her feelings as well which led her to bend her own principles. Yet, her strong personality shine through. At the end of it all, she loves and respects herself.
- Han Su is practical and realist. If she wants it, she have to get it. Being competent is part of who she is which also both her strength and weakness. She is clear on her goals yet struggles to have a work-life balance. A non-nonsense woman but slowly showed her vulnerablity.
These three (I wanna add Zhen Cheng) are far from perfect but I love how they tried to resolved their own personal shortcomings. This story is a good representation of the people navigating their adulthood in terms of romantic relationships, friendships, career, and identity.
- The Good: Ah, Freedom! Free will at its finest. You can relatively do anything you want, be friends with anyone, and go anywhere.
- The Bad: But better face the consequences of your actions. This liberating feeling of adulthood also comes with great responsibility.
- The Ugly: Life challenges is inevitable. It would really challenge you, it could make or break you. It might even lead you to questionable or painful decisions that you never thought you could do - just to survive in this harsh world.
This drama speaks a lot to me as someone who is having a crisis in adulthood. This brought me comfort, and seemed to tell me "you are not alone."

Pretty Much Real To Life
This is a solid drama with great actors. I have laughed, cried and felt very uncomfortable at times. The lies and omission of telling partner their real thoughts, is my discomfort. Of course, when starting a relationship, omitting certain details are allowed. I can reflect on my past and realize I took the more difficult path just because coming clean is hard to admit. I will watch this to the endWas this review helpful to you?
All the actors are very good and I really appreaciate many of their dramas and in this drama they are doing good as well. The thing that I'm not liking much is the plot because it shows how men take advantage and use women which is something very unacceptable. Even though I'm giving this review, I'll try my best to watch all the whole series.
I didn't want to give a very low ranking because even though I didn't like much this drama, I still don't want to give a full bad score.

Unexpectedly refreshing take on the cheesiest mainstream genre.
this is so oddly (in a good way) unusual that i decided to say a few words straight away (watched 2 eps for now)so far seems like a very high-quality production through and through.
the characters have real depth, look more like actual people then u're probably used to in these kinds of series. the FL still annoying, puts too much effort in opening her eyes as wide as it is anatomically possible which is a bit suffocating to look at - the familiar clichéd "ingénue type" or so it seems so far.
the depicted world where all is ruled by materialistic interior motifs is alien to me. and personally, i wouldn't have survived past daycare for sure. but it's depicted so thoroughly, with so much attention to detail that I couldn't help but appreciate it and was drawn in (for the most part).
loved the music, Accusefive is 1 of my favorites, although admittedly I happen to know just a handful of Chinese musical artists.
loved the opening credits sequence and i don't skip it (!!)
most of the dialogs and the attention to visual details that help to tell the story and actually are essential to the plot in a smart way (as in "respecting the viewer's IQ") - wow, never saw this high level in such a mainstream genre before. (did see it in "heavier" types of Chinese series though)
oh, and the long-takes! (is it what it's called?) they are a treat! maybe just 'cause i don't see them all that often anymore and wasn't expecting a fancier camera work...but still)
So there you go for now)
Let's wait n see how much (if any) disappointment there's gonna be for the viewer as the story unfolds LOL
Thank you for reading.
