So "Hierarchy" isn't your typical high school drama, it's more like a peek into South Korea's fancy world. Imagine this big-shot school, Jooshin High, where only the super-rich and powerful kids get in. You've got Jae Yi from the Jaeyool Group, Ri An who's taking over Jooshin Group, He Ra from International Yoon, and Woo Jin, whose family is big in politics. They've got it all or so it seems. Then Kang Ha joins. His appealing and seemingly innocent smile hides a hidden agenda that will put everything where it's supposed to be. The friendship between Jae Yi and He Ra is just not giving, if someone were truly your buddy, they wouldn't act in such a way.
Why didn't she go for Kang Ha? I mean, seriously, he's like the whole package. Tall, smart, handsome, cool, you name it. Plus, he's genuinely into her. But hey, I get it. Sometimes the heart wants what it wants and they've been together for so long.
Anyways, this drama is really my cup of tea

Disaster of a ladder
If the ladder was to climb, that ladder would have broken into piece. The show seems to show promise episode 1 and then just turn into a bunch of missing information. What on earth is this? The ML is a coward, the FL just makes bad decision, and the evil person??? Nowhere to be seen. That is the weakest sauce I have ever seen. I felt like I lost more braincells than needed. This show could have gone the route like pyramid games and would have been top tier. Instead goes the conservative route of building a triangle. When did we have a kdrama that has a love triangle that does well? The answer is never. Skip and don't even bother. The OST is great so might as well add those to listen. Was this review helpful to you?

Too much expectation
I’ve never reviewed a show before but i had to review this show 😭The hype I had for this drama I thought it was going to be the new elite but the disappointment I had after every episode I watched
The whole plot doesn’t make sense it’s all over the place, don’t get me wrong we know he wanted to find clues and all but the whole ass love triangle made no sense .The FL pissed me off so much the only thing that saved this drama was the budget other than that theirs nothing special

Attitude is everything
There are hard hitting subjects sewn into the fabric of this entertaining High School drama, about the kids of the rich and super rich. The drama is Boys Over Flowers meets Weak Hero Class 1. Personally, I loved it. This school is other worldly in design. The Korean Drama has a high class flashy look and an attitude to match. This was a high octane ride.Off the bat, there is an Assembly to introduce the new scholarship student, the odd man out in the school for the super rich. These students are so rich that they have car Valets. The drama has smoking music, interesting script, and fantastic cinematography. Young talent showed off their acting skills. All the dots of the story were connected in the end, to set-up things for Season 2.
For those who were waiting for the highly anticipated Korean Drama Hierarchy, it just hit NetFlix. There is a death covered in this Korean Drama.

It's one of the best
It was a great drama I loved the direction. The cast was everything but if I had one complaint it would be that they did bad with Kang ha. Also I need my season 2 as soon as possible. Some people might think it's boring but it is not. It also depends on you if you like this genre or not. I would totally recommend it if you like dramas ith revenge romance or just some rich kids doing whatever they wasn't. It's rare to find a drama like this these days so that was a huge reason as to why I was waiting so long for itWas this review helpful to you?
A mediocre show that had potential
It was mid. While the story had potential, i don't think there was enough episodes to execute it properly. The 5 main characters also had potential but they focused on the romantic drama when they should have focussed on the friendship drama. The side characters were so annoying. I'm glad there was some consequences for the horrible actions of the characters but I wanted more pay off since that was the whole point of the show. The 7 episodes didn't allow for this though. There were also some cringe nonsensical moments that were hard to get through and made me roll my eyes so hard. For example, the car race scene just so Jae-yi could break up with Rian (why?) and the one scene where they play American foot ball (yikes). The cinematography was great and the soundtrack was also good. I really like the actors which is also kind of frustrating because they should have gotten great character writing and would have been able to pull it off. They did good with what they were given. Also, can we please stop showing these creepy teacher/student relationships? At least she got some punishment but media should not depict these relationships without showing that they are explicitly wrong and have a negative impact on the student. whether they are a boy or a girl or if they are rich or poor.Overall, a show that had potential but was badly executed with not enough episodes to flesh out everything.

Worth it.
Guess I'm in the minority based on other reviews but I loved it. Yes, it's yet another chaebol story, but it's a really good one. Tight script, great acting (with one exception), satisfying plot twists. It's shot really well, great background music, and the true nature of these characters will keep you guessing. There's a decent amount of depth and "who's really behind what" is hard to guess ahead of time. And it's only seven episodes so it's very streamlined. It's a great weekend binge. Was this review helpful to you?

unlike everyone else, i liked it a bit.
while i do agree that this k-drama wasn't super insane or anything. here are the things i liked about it:- we could see what everyone was doing and thinking and in think that's really cool
- we could see the personal improvement of each character and how they changed as the drama moved on. for example Jae-i's and He-ra's friendship, Jae-i's emotional state and fears improving, Kang-ha and Ri-an's feelings which were mostly relatable as Ri-an always loved Jae-i and also had a strong value of what he wanted in his life and how he was mature enough to show his feelings to his mother even though she didn't understand him and slapped him.
- the diversity such as the student dating the teacher who ended up to be the culprit and also the student with his principal mom.
- the production was very good
- compared to others I've watched its not the best but it's definitely a good one as its only 7 episodes so it definitely isn't a waste of time as others say.
-stable connections. if you paid attention to the characters you would've noticed from the beginning that Jae-i was never actually over Ri-an and that Woo-jin liked He-ra.
- happy ending for everyone.
i'd say just watch it for yourself and see because its very short and it could be quite interesting for you too.

failed in the proposal, protagonist forgot his goal
*English is not my first language, I'm sorry if it is confuseokay, first of all, I had a lot of expectation on this drama, the proposal on the beginning was really interesting but as the story unfolds, it looks like de protagonist forgot what he wanted to do. I really like jae-i but I think that when kangha fell in love with her it mess everything, that was a romance that wasnt necessary. On the beginning, kanga was really willing to take revenge but he gave up of everything because of her and that doesn't make sense because he wanted to revenge for his brother right? he just give up of fuck with the lives of the guilty of his brother death just because of a girl?? that makes me feel upset. other thing is that I think this drama was really slow, there was a lot of things that could be used for revenge, Woojin's relationship with the teacher for example, but that was just thrown away, even with such a good opportunity to do something interesting
Giving my final considerations, I really liked this drama, but it certainly could have been much better. this had such an incredible proposal at the beginning that it got lost as it unfolded. I'm looking forward to part two, I hope revenge really is done

Acceptable
May be some people didn't like the show that much but its their own opinion. This drama is just 7 episodes long, and, of course they rushed the ending, however I think the cast was great. And I'm expecting a better and long story if there will be a season 2.I think FL was indecisive but there was a reason for it. She lived her life alone without any parental guidance, so when a lone child faces problem, then it becomes hard to find right from wrong, and she was high schooler, and then a burden of pregnancy was just wild.
And I don't understand why the writers are obsessed with sending the FL to New york, you will know after watching.
Ri-an was a main character but he has not gotten a single real scene, like when ML solve some mystery or act like a hero. Writers did him wrong.
I think the story is all about Kang Ha and him solving the mystery of his brother's death, it would be better if the writers just made him the sole main character.😑
Overall the cast was good, they could make a better story.
If you watch it, it would caome to and ened before you know, so I recommend you to watch this, the views are just great.

boring and not worth watching
I started watching it for the female lead and I watched it with 2x speed and skipping some parts to finish it , it’s so boring and lame definitely not worth watching . They spent the budget on the production and luxury brands and forgot the story and acting !I thought there would be hope in the next episode but no each episode is worse. there is no conflict and intensity to the plot . and didn’t fully show us what are the consequences for their actions. the chemistry is Zero for all the actors and their emotions are faked.

Yet another revenge drama
Plot and Execution:The story revolves around the lives of students at Jooshin High School, where scholarship students are often treated as outsiders and the children of the elite wield their power without consequence. The narrative explores themes of revenge, crime, drama, and romance, weaving a complex tale that is both engaging and thought-provoking.
While "Hierarchy" doesn't break new ground in the genre, it effectively captures the essence of similar series such as "Elite" and "13 Reasons Why." The series addresses the serious issue of bullying and its devastating consequences, a recurring theme in Korean dramas like "Revenge of Others," "True Beauty," and "The Glory."
Characters and Performances:
The cast delivers strong performances, particularly Roh Jeong-eui and Lee Chae-min, who bring depth and authenticity to their roles. The characters are well-developed, allowing viewers to empathize with their struggles and triumphs.
Strengths:
Engaging Storyline: The series offers a compelling narrative that keeps viewers hooked from start to finish, with its blend of drama, crime, and romance.
Strong Performances: The cast, especially the leads, delivers powerful performances that add depth to the story.
Relevant Themes: The exploration of bullying, drug abuse, and the abuse of power resonates with contemporary issues, making the series both relevant and thought-provoking.
High Production Value: The cinematography, set design, and overall production quality are top-notch, enhancing the viewing experience.
Weaknesses:
Predictable Plot: The series follows a familiar formula seen in other dramas of the same genre, making it somewhat predictable.
Inspired Elements: "Hierarchy" feels heavily inspired by series like "13 Reasons Why" and "Revenge of Others," lacking a unique identity of its own.
Conclusion:
"Hierarchy" is a well-executed drama that effectively tackles important social issues within the setting of an elite high school. While it may not be groundbreaking or particularly innovative, it provides a gripping and engaging viewing experience. The strong performances and high production value make it worth watching, even if it sometimes feels derivative of other popular series.
With a teaser hinting at a possible second season, "Hierarchy" is likely to maintain its popularity and continue to make noise globally. It stands as a solid entry in the genre, offering a mix of drama, crime, and romance that will appeal to fans of teen romance and revenge dramas.
Personal Rating:
Story: 9.6
Acting & Cast: 9.3
