Flawless
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this drama. Although it is emotionally intense, I was captivated by the main artist's performance. I felt a strong emotional connection to Sol's character, who truly touched my heart. I've seen many time-travel-based dramas, and while they often depict characters struggling to change the future, this one stood out. It showed that by destroying the cause of a ruined future, the future itself could be altered. What made this drama unique was how the story evolved with each correction of the timeline. The standout feature was the flawless performances by the artists, which made the drama even more compelling. Was this review helpful to you?

A KDRAMA WHICH DESERVED ALL THE HYPE! Best drama of 2024!
Its been while since I've watched a rom com kdrama which is so hyped and after finishing it, I HAVE TO SAY-- "This drama deserved all the hype." NO, in fact, it deserves way more recognition than it received. Half way through the drama after watching ep 8 i had rated this drama 10/10. I had decided that if the writer gave us an unambiguous, happy ending with lots of Soljae fluff, I wud rate this my top 1 fav kdrama of all times and thankfully the writers n directors didn't disappoint us.Time travel has always been my favorite trope but a lot of them have ambiguous confusing endings where the entire thing turns out to be a dream or something most of the time. (I hate that.. Srsly!!) Lovely runner gave us time travel, romance, comedy, high school, crime, etc. -so many genres all in one and they executed all of these so beautifully capturing their audience's attention throughout the 2 months of its airing.
To be honest, i hadn't really watched any drama of either of the leads n i just started watching this bcz i didn't want to miss a time travel drama -being my fav genre n all... and I am so, so glad i didn't miss it.
They gave us LOSER SUNJAE n CRAZY SOL who were made for each other. One of the many things i liked about it was how they executed the part where Sunjae remembers everything. Especially thankful for the fact that they didn't just make it the last scene and BAM! end- but gave us ample Soljae scenes after that. The whole memory thing was carefully spanned over 2 eps n not just a sudden thing with no explanation. All these scenes were so beautifully filmed..
For the past 2 months, we all cried when Sol n Sunjae cried, we were happy with them when they finally defied their so called fate and got together.😍😍
Thank u Taesung for being such a supportive friend to Sol-ah , n rival to Sunjae ofc in any timeline. Thank u Baek Inhyuk, for helping your loser friend in his confessions (🤣).
As Sol's grandma says- Memories can be forgotten, but the soul always remembers." Even if they didn't remember each other, their friendship/rivalry remained.
AND THE BIGGEST THANKS TO THE WHITE TRUCK OF DOOM!!!!!! 🤣
SOLJAE's role was made for KHY n BWS. Now I can't imagine anyone else playing uri loser sunjae n being Solchinja.
The OSTs 😍made me feel as if i was falling in love myself while hearing them especially - Sudden shower, like a dream, spring snow.
I'll definitely miss my days where i waited for this.... no more waiting for preview, theories, pre releases or next week for new eps.
Anyone else debating whether to watch it or not-> PLZ,PLZ,PLZ,PLZ GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!
You won't regret watching this masterpiece!
Miss u LOVELY RUNNER💛💙!
Miss u uri pouty baby loser Sunjae-ya n crazy Sol-ah💛💙!!!
I sincerely hope this drama and the actors/actresses of the drama sweep all the awards for the year!!!!!!!!!!

Lovely Runner is the best Romantic Comedy, better yet, most satisfyingly epic show of all time!!!
It was a delightful ride watching our dear Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol’s tumultuous love journey filled with sacrifices throughout their Teens, College and Adult eras. RomCom is my favorite genre and this drama was my cup of tea! I especially loved witnessing the ML’s POV as a loser-in-love-who’s-forced-to-be-cool, it was so refreshing to see as a RomCom lover! BWS & KHY’s chemistry are unparalleled, allowing for them to effortlessly convey their feelings across this reel. They're so convincing that my hunch is that they’re completely enamored with each other in real life! Stop feeding my Dimple Couple delulu! The writer and directors’ expertise and execution, intertwined superbly into a storytelling that was unblemished by PPLs, resulting into a beautifully organic masterpiece. It’s awesome how they injected the comedic timings to be consistent throughout the episodes without fail. The OSTs sounded amazing and were all so fitting with the moments of love, comedy, angst, and tears. My personal favorites were all the Eclipse songs sung by BWS! SGH, LSH and all the Supporting Casts did so well with their acting, making their characters so memorable. I look forward to their future projects. Last but not least, a round of applause for the production team and all your hard work in making this kdrama happen. They collaborated this nostalgic gem of a kdrama to me, reminding me of dearly of my original love of 20+ years kdrama. Overall, the re-watch value of LR is extremely high for me and I’ll be unwrapping this gift for many years to come! Was this review helpful to you?
lovely time travel story with good romance
I am glad for people's positive reviews which made me decide to give this drama a try, and having did I understand the reason such a low budget drama is gaining so much popularity.I loved the whole story including the time travel element, and even though there were minor small gripes that I had with the mechanics of the time slips etc, it stil never ruined anything for me. The backstory to how the miraculous time travel capabilites first come about are never explicitly stated but the viewer is shown hints as to who to thank for it all, which made everything all the more heartfelt and emotional in the end.
The best aspect by far and one that I believe accounts for 100% of the popularity this show is garnering is without a question, the romance. with an endearing love story and marvelous electriflying chemistry, watching and re-wtching their scenes together and the behind-the-scenes, it shows very evidently how the two lead actors had built in real life such great rapport and a strong relationship based on trust and respect, and hopefully even more than that ♡
The acting was very strong by the whole cast especially our OTP who did a marvelous job conveying all ranges of emotions and levels of emotional maturity.
The comedy parts were pretty well done with a lot of laugh-out-loud cringe inducing hilarious parts, thanks in particular to a marvelous set of side characters including the ML's dad, the FL's mom and older brother, the FL's old time crush Tae-Sung and In Hyuk our ML's best friend.
the OST was lovely and despite the fact that first time watching not many tracks managed to particurarly stick with me, later after rewatching parts of it I found myself humming a few tunes even sonagi <3
If there are any negative comments worth mentioning, it would mostly concern the villain and the whole serial murderer arc. I know that the story needed a plot device to push it forward and into the danger and angst zone, but our bad guy was just that, too bad and psycho down to the core, but the story never bothered to show us any sort of background story to flesh him out or show us the motives behind anything he did or his seeminly deeply rooted grudge against Sol & Sun-jae, so he ends up as a 2D caricature of a bad guy, whenever he pops up on screen I am rolling my eyes rather than being on the edge of my seat.
And also there is just too many times that the writer is allowed to use the exact same plot device before it becomes too repitive it essentially is no longer surving its purpose but rather it's cheapening the worth of the whole story. I mean to sum up all troubles our lead couple could ever and will ever face together all in the mere existence of one villain, was too much for me at some points. I understand that if the story was that she was going back in time to save her love after getting hit by random traffic or some other type of accident, it might have had its uncertainties and would have felt like defying fate, and I guess the writers were playing at the concept of destiny involving both good and bad bonds, so people who were meant to cross paths are destined to do for better or for worse, but I couldn't help feeling like I would have appreciated it more if there was more time given to delve deeper into our bad guy's story and psyche so he would not feel like a wack-a-mole puppet popping put every couple of episodes.
Overall despite any minor shortcomings this drama might have, still a marvelous romance, lovable characters and spectacular cast manage to turn it into as perfect a drama as any romcom could ever dream of being.
So even though the objective part of me couldn’t help criticizing certain indiscrepancies about the time slip element which can not be said to be the most original out there to begin with (what with all the other time slip dramas that come out each season), or the annoying villain, Still this drama has managed to steal a spot in my all time favorites thanks to nothing but the main lead's chemistry and swoon-inducing romance. Proof is the fact I immediately went ahead and re-watched all their scenes together. I recommend highly to any Kdrama fan out there.

Memories don’t disappear.
I've always found it strange when they put crime and romance together, and it's quite common in dramas, but I have to say that this is one of those dramas that will live on for free in my mind. The story centres on Sol, who has suffered an accident and is unfortunately unable to walk. One day she gets a call from a radio competition saying that she's won some trainers or a bicycle. Upset that she's not wearing any of those things, she screams a lot and a voice (who were guests on the programme) from one of the members of Eclipse, a kpop band, encourages her to live.
So she became a fan of them and especially of the lead singer.
The lead singer dies years later, and she goes back in time to save him.
Sounds cliché, doesn't it?
But through all these journeys and deaths, Sol discovers many things, tries to change others and continues to live and know how to live.
The soundtrack is fantastic!!! how could I not have heard N.Flying? The whole ost is beautiful!
And Sol's grandmother? the explanation she gives for her dementia made me cry.
Sol's brother's side story is quite comical and I actually enjoyed it.
As for Taesung, he was a completely different character if he hadn't met Sol, and even though he ignored her in the past, it made him a better person. I really liked him!
I would watch this drama again and laugh like an idiot again
Memories don’t disappear. Where do you think all the countless memories of what you see, listen, and feel in your life go? They’re all smeared into my soul. Even if my brain forgot them, my soul hasn’t. It’s been keeping every piece of it.” – Grandma

Renewed my absolute love for Kdramas
this is hands down one of the few kdramas I would rewatch from beginning to end without skipping a single second, sobbing and feeling all the emotions like I’m watching it for the first time. now don’t get me wrong, there are definitely others I have watched that I would rewatch simply for the good moments and the moments that really made me feel something, but this is different. this show is magnificent as a whole; from the acting to the story to the perfectly chosen OST by 10cm.would highly recommend - anyone could find something about this to fall in love with

romcom of the year (or decade!)
absolutely delightful from start to finish. almost every trope in the book was portrayed well throughout the whole series. this delivered romance, comedy, angst, fantasy, high school romance, college romance, mature romance and love that transcends timelines. sol and sunjae are both good hearted, strong-willed and well written characters who loved each other so deeply. it has such a satisfying ending too. also, every episode is a kim hyeyoon acting masterclass. she is the lovely in lovely runner. the heart of the drama. 10000/10 would recommend. <3Was this review helpful to you?
Don't know what to say?
I can't stop writing about this drama if I start.. I have watched a lot of dramas. But this one hits different. I just fell in love with everyone specially Hyeyoon. What an acting girlllll.. She slayed every scenes. The crying scenes made me cry along with her.. A drama with no toxic friend or ex or second lead. Byeon Woo Seok is always my favourite.. I first noticed him in 20th Century Girl and later in Strong Girl Nam Soon. He did great in both of them. And in this one, he is the greanest forest ever💚... I would love to see them together again in another drama. Their chemistry is everything😍😍Was this review helpful to you?

breaking my silence ( i put whatever in the star rating because i want to finish it first)
The drama started out fun and great but it started going down hill after the "highschool arc" , she avoided him in the most absured ways giving me second hand embaressment instead of talking and making it clear she wants nothing to do with him tf . But i still had hope, a part of me did'nt want this show to go even further down the drain , i had hope that they will salvage it somehow and pick up the pace when they made up . I really waited and suffered through out the whole collage missunderstanding thing , the light at the end of the tunnel started shinning and i was as hopeful as i can get when they he finally figured out the future thing , i ran till the end of this tunnel following the bright hopeful light and when i finally reached it it turned dark and all i could feel was the despair of the fucking disaster of episode 13. it was so bad i just finished watching it right now and started to write this . Episode 13 was so bad it made me write a goddamn essay , and the thing that makes my blood boil is the fact that people LIKED the episode , am i the problem ??? i don't wanns say too much about the episode because i already reviewd it in the episode 13 review , but the ending actually made me almost cry ........out of anger lmaooo beacuse please tell me why did she do that , now all the other 12 episode mean nothing quite literally .Was this review helpful to you?
The best of 2024
As what Time Magazine said, the best of 2024; well deserve award!...I had no expectations when i watch the drama, just seeing comments on why people are loving it, man after watching it, i cant help but wanting to watch more of it and was hooked every mondays and tuesdays.
Its very rare to have a drama that is fast paced all the way up to ep10 and eps 2, 8 and 16, are personal favourites. The drama took more than 10 months to film due to change in director/direction, and it was definately a worthwhile changes and investment.
Funny and heartfelt... best part is, the happy happy ending! Enough said ❤️❤️❤️
Opsss lets not forget, the OST... by Eclipse, Ryu Sun jae aka BWS.... Run Run, Sonaki and Minnie's Like a Dream 🫰🫰🫰

The Yellow Umbrella At Its BEST
Do you believe in The Yellow Umbrella? This must be THE ultimate YELLOW UMBRELLA drama, putting ones faith in the power of the yellow umbrella in dramaland to the ultimate testThe drama has some of the best parts of Twinkling Watermelon meets Some Day or One Day . All covered in a yellow umbrella. And while it does have a lot of the good parts of these two excellent dramas it does not fully reach the greatness of both.
I love the different timelines, the friendships and the grandmother. The female lead has a lot of fun lines, at times a really cool attitude and is fun to watch about 70% of the time however the remaining 30%offer a few to many moments of annoying/ second hand embarrassment for me to fully understand what our fantasy to perfect to be perfect male lead sees in her. As for the other male lead male leads are a blast to watch, they are sweet, have great interactions both among themselves and with the female lead and aside from a few moments of jealousy really seem to be to good to be true. Also the girl tries to run away from the male lead so many times that I am sure that is why the drama is called Lovely Runner, but it should have been lovely umbrella...
There are a lot of twists (some better than others), sweet fun moments between all of the characters, eye-candy for as far as the aye can see and I do believe they have a thing for men (the male lead) getting out of the shower, pool, rain showing the viewers his very well chiselled abs in most of the episodes. So if you are sensitive to abs you may want to look away or make sure you are in a safe environment while watching.
Besides the abs, the cinematography is gorgeous, the use of umbrellas breath taking and the plot was wrapped up a lttle bit to fast towards the end, and it may have a hole or two but is overall pretty decent. Kisses are top, top all in all definitely one of those dramas that I will rewatch scenes from now and then.
An easy binge that will-indeed cater to all your romance, umbrella and watery needs

Skyrocketed To My All Time Fave's List
PLEASE. THIS DRAMA WAS SO GOOD. I mean its' ratings literally speak for itself. This became such a top drama globally without even being on Netflix or anything. I was watching it from the start as it was always in my planned list, and then suddenly people are me were mentioning it and I was getting shocked at how everyone is suddenly knowing this drama. Honestly so well deserved. The actors did a great job. And usually time travel dramas become a little iffy while watching, but this has got to be my absolute favorite in how they depicted it. Their love story was beautiful. And the ending was chefs kiss. I was laughing, crying, stressing with the characters. This really has been so fun to watch. I will definitely be rewatching this as a comfort kdrama in the future. PLEASE WATCH THIS!!!Was this review helpful to you?
