One of the most well-rounded and enjoyable watches EVER
I considered writing a well thought out review for like a total of five minutes, but I can't. So, allow me to just yap. This drama had very quickly made it obvious to me that it would become my all time favourite. There are so many core reasons as to why, I'm not sure how to list them all. First off, the casting was splendid. I wouldn't change a single thing. The acting was impeccable. The emotions were so real. I adored that this drama started out with a focus on high school life, giving me that cute high school romance that I love so much. The fantasy undertones were the root, yet they did not take away from the sweetness of their youth. There were so many times when I genuinely forgot that this was a story of Im Sol going back and forth. It feels like she lived so many lives and we got to witness so much of it. I am also so glad that it wasn't a situation in which Sun jae's feelings were hidden for an unnecessary amount of time. You know how sometimes it'll be that the female lead likes the male lead and then you find out later that he liked her all along, but they tell you rather than showing you? I loved that this drama showed us his perspective so early on. There may have been some back and forth with him and Im Sol about their feelings, but we knew. However, I believe the miscommunication was just the right amount. It wasn't like they were going crazy trying to hide their feelings... Even in the last few episodes as Im Sol tried to stay away, it was obvious that Sun jae was just ignoring her completely because he could see through her efforts.
I loved seeing their youth, it just gave me butterflies the whole time. I'm glad we spent time in the past, seeing them all build bonds and grow together. Everyone's story was touched on well, we got see how In Hyuk, Tae sung, Sun jae, and Im Sol had come together as well.
Tae Sung became a very beloved character and somehow one of the most sensible of them all. I appreciate how his intellect was something present even in his youth and he learned how to better channel it as he grew older.
Sun Jae was just a green flag all around. I have so much to say but my mind can't pinpoint a single thing. He was great.
All in all, this drama really touched my heart. It truly was about making sacrifices and learning to sometimes be selfish and give yourself a happy ending. I think the saddest part was knowing that even though Sun Jae and Im Sol have their memories, those experiences that all the characters shared in the past are no longer part of their timeline. It's unfortunate to know that in some ways, they missed out on a very pretty life filled with sweet moments. That's why episode 13 was definitely the saddest for me.
Anyways, this was a 10/10 kdrama with amazing romance, beautiful moments of the past, and really makes you appreciate the privilege of time.

Definitely overhyped but romance absolutely good and enjoyable
Starting with the basics: This drama SHOULD have been wrapped up in 12 episodes. While it doesn’t necessarily become boring afterward, the pacing and plot could have concluded right then and there. Personally, I got fed up after the 10th episode, watching the main leads—the FL constantly running away from the ML to save his life, only to return, and then repeat the cycle over and over again. If she truly wanted to save his life and spare us from watching her cry in nearly every episode, she should have just moved to a different city or country. Also, what was the killer's/kidnapper's motive? Like, hello? I get that not every killer in movies, series etc. has to have a clear motive, but in such a highly-rated drama, there should at least be a hint as to why he would chase the same girl in every alternate timeline. It doesn't make any sense to me.
The romance was really good—full of fluffiness and steamy kisses. I loved seeing the golden retriever-like ML chasing after the FL and being all lovey-dovey with her. However, the comedy? Not for me. I don't want to compare but there was nothing to laugh about, unlike in Strong Girl Bong Soon, where I laughed in every episode(maybe my type of humour has changed idk)
Another point: Acting
I started watching LR because of Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, both of whom I really like from their previous dramas. But this? A disaster—mainly because of Hye Yoon. I might not have noticed her "overdramatic" expressions in Extraordinary You (which I highly recommend watching), but in this drama, her acting was insufferable. Her expressions and performances were excessively exaggerated and theatrical. Not to mention the second main couple—her sister-in-law and brother (forgot their names). Byeon Woo Seok was... okay? Nothing more, nothing less.
The OST was pretty, but not as memorable as, for example, Goblin or Descendants of the Sun (at least for me).
Overall I wanted to rate this drama 8,5 but giving a second thought it is 7,5.I HIGHLY recommend this drama if you're looking for a good, fluffy romance, especially if you love the "ML chasing after FL" trope.

Happy Pill
It’s hard to put perfectly into words just how amazing Lovely Runner is, but it is without a doubt, one of the best ones out there. Aside from the fiery chemistry of the leads. The storyline and narrative itself is just top notch. The way it could just make viewers like me feel so giddy in one second and fearful and stressed on the next is just perfect. I also loved how the ending unfolded. How it stressed that memories are etched in the heart. I just wish we had more time to uncover if and how is Grandma connected to the time traveling that’s happened. Speaking of Grandma, big kudos as well to the great family dynamics of this show. Within all the timelines all the family interactions where great. The love showcased within was truly heartwarming. Ahh~ would definitely rewatch this again. Was this review helpful to you?
everything
i love taesang, At first I was confused by the storyline. but it turned out very good. Starting from the cast, to the acting, it is extraordinary. I really like Song Geon Hee in that drama. I really love him hahahahha. I really like the way Sun Jae looks at Sol, I get drunk with his gaze. with the song, oh my god what a good song Sunjae sings. and I really hate the evil character there, the taxi driver. but beyond all that, everything is very interesting and very good to watch with friends, lovers or family. Was this review helpful to you?
Superb
Love love love the storyline, its not the typical timeslip drama. It makes you think and i rewatch 7x (and counting) to connect the dots of the happenings and each episodes are still so enjoyable.Casting is perfect. Especially the Kim Hye Yoon. I got glued on epi 1 because of her outstanding performance. ( Watched Skycastle, Extraordinary You, Secret inspector and Joy, Ditto, Midnight, Girl with the Bulldozer and i am extremely impressed with this young actress).
Best drama I've ever watched!!

long and boring and basic
i loved both FL & ML they are incredibly amazing actors and really good at what they’re doing, however, the story is too typical for a time travel dramaI feel like we have seen those type of dramas a lot, and there’s nothing really new in this one
only thing that kept me going are the actors I loved their chemistry together
but the storyline it just does not have anything special.
I feel like I have watched too much better time travel Kdramas with a better story( thats just for me at least ) And it was really unnecessarily long. It could’ve ended in 10 episodes, overall it’s not that bad I guess

Sorry but...
"Lovely Runner" from various sources mention that the drama's time travel concept lacks clear rules, making it difficult to follow. The motivations of certain characters, like the psycho taxi driver, are unclear and seem to exist only to advance the plot. Some viewers find the romance and comedic elements overshadow the story's coherence, reducing its overall impact. Was this review helpful to you?
so predictable
just like many other time travel dramas. same story and repetition of plots. FL keeps going back in time and failing every time, recycled stalker plot again. not to mention the 32-year-old actor playing a teenager. all success comes down to the handsome ml and couples height difference. ost is perhaps the only positive thing followed by the actress good acting, which ironically is downplayed by fans of the drama who treats her like a rookis, even though she already has an established career.....Was this review helpful to you?
One of the best Kdrama
Oh where do I start? I’ve been seeing this show in my recommendation since this show started. I really wanted to watch this since Kim Hye Yoon is the female lead I liked her from Extraordinary You and I was really hooked with that drama. I was expecting that Lovely Runner will give me the same feeling but I hold back because this is on-going I didn’t want to experience the agony of waiting. But then yesterday I can’t help but binge watch and finish all fourteen episodes. All I can say is that Lovely Runner is perfection. It gave me nostalgic feeling. The OST is so good it keeps playing in my head over and over. The cast is perfect. They are all versatile. This show gave me a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Kim Hye Yoon never disappoints she act so well that you can’t feel she’s acting at all. It was so natural. She can make me laugh then cry after a moment. Byeon Woo Seok also matches the female lead’s versatility. I really love his character in this drama. He portrayed his role so well. He looked like a real swimmer, actor and an idol. I just found out that he actually sang the song ‘Sonagi (Sudden Shower)’ like damn he’s so talented what else can’t he do? The concert part where he sang Sonagi is full of emotions the last time I got carried away with a song like this was Jung Yong Hwa’s ‘Because I missed you’ in Heartstrings and to think he also sang it live?! How I wish there will be a real concert for Eclipse. They even have their own YT channel with all the OST of Eclipse. Byeon Woo Seok is a gem. His character is the greenest flag male lead I’ve ever seen in a drama. I hope they work again together in the future. The only thing I’m sad about is that this show has to end and I’m gonna miss my happy pill. Kudos to everyone who made this show a success. 💕Was this review helpful to you?

I feel really bad for tae sung though he is so cute why do all second leads are so good.
Anyways this is amazing and i play sonagi on repeat so, what are you waiting for? Go watch it!
also ignore the negative reviews it's a famous kdrama what do you expect? just go watch it yourself.

Entertaining but plot feels lacking
This drama was entertaining - the actors did a great job, the music was great, and it contained all of the classic k-drama elements. I loved the side characters! However, the overall plot is a bit disappointing. The plot required a lot of coincidences to occur for the story to go on - while I think some of them are fine and can add to the comedic aspect of the drama, some of them felt very annoying. I was constantly yelling at the screen because the female lead was doing something unnecessary, especially towards the beginning of the drama. I found the ending for the main thriller plot quite disappointing as well. There were so many attempts at catching the bad guy throughout the entire show, but the final attempt was very quick and lackluster in comparison. The romance scenes and character dynamics were cute though. Was this review helpful to you?
