Omg!!! Truck-kun where did you Isekai him to? ???

- Memories don’t disappear. They are smeared to your soul.
When you see ‘Romance’ in a tag you look for chemistry and my god they had it. The constant timelines and parallels of snow and cherry blossom was a great symbolic usage of beautiful love myths.
The cast, the story 10/10
Rewatch value 10/10
Just completed it so I’m having extremely mixed emotions but loved it.
But I don’t know whether it was because of the ability being overpowering or something but our Sol only used her power for comedy settings. Ryu Sun Jae being an extreme green flag has my standards on a level I don’t know about anymore and shout out to the coolest ex-boyfriend Tae Sung. The parents being absolute admirers of their children and our second couple being just as green.
P.S: Mal Ja shii our halmeoni the MVP
And where is my Sun jae? 😭😭😭
This turned out to be a rant then a proper review I thought I would be writing but WATCH IT!!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Lovely Runner Aka The Loveliest Drama

This drama is honestly so good. I was there since day 1, when tvn posted their first promotion on their instagram page. I was really conflicted into watching it because byeon wooseok was there as the maincast and he always dies (back in 2022 i saw a youtube short where he said that he likes taking roles where he dies because its realistic or smth and i was not into kdrama durng that time but i was sure if i ever were to get hooked into the kdrama world i would skip his series purely to save my heart from crying) fast forward to 2024 where i finally started watching kdramas, i could not hold myself to wait for this series to end and then binge watch ( i watched ep 1 the day after it got premiered :'D). I would eagerly wait for mondays and tuesdays. and no amount of words can express how thrilled i was to watch this series. This plot is too intense tho, like at end of each ep something bad has to happen which can bring a lot of frustration. This series is something that you would enjoy waiting every week for the eps to upload but definitely not binge watch worthy. Thankfully i did not binge watch as i initially planned of otherwise i would've gone insane. Regardless of the complex plot, i still love this show with my whole heart. The ost and the acting was soo goood. Hye yoon potrayed imsol's character so well like she's soo adorbb. Sun jay being the biggest loser was such a nice highlight. Taesung being the best 2nd lead of kdrama history was an absolute refreshing take. Every week i would laugh and cry for this drama. Lovely Runner is the loveliest drama.

The More I Watched It, The More I Got Pissed Off

First and foremost, how the hell do you able to mess up such a beautiful idea like this? The idea for this drama is really good, but yet the writer decided to screw it up. To be honest, the first half is really good, with great addition of comedy. This drama should be ended in episode 12, even 8. The serial killer idea is really awful. Out of 9 million citizens of Seoul, why did the serial killer have to keep choosing Sol IN ALL OF THE TIMEFRAME like she is his nemesis? The serial killer in the third time travel already feels unecessary because Sol has dodged it in the second time travel, but maybe they need it because he kills Sun-Jae in the present. Yet the serial killer should not even show up in the present after the fourth time travel, because the timeframe have been changed! The third time travel is the worst. If Sol choose to avoid Sun-Jae from the beginning, then she may not survive the killer's first attack (he is the one who saves her). Those two premises are there just only to support the ending that the writer's intended, nothing more. This drama might be too long that they have to add ridiculous things such as the second watch, that one is horrendous! I understand that most K-Dramas has strong start and hollow ending, but I really don't expect this one became silly only after half of the season.

On the contrary, thanks to Hye Yoon, Woo Seok and Geon Hee who plays their characters excellently, they literally carry this drama. Overall, this drama is still enjoyable since it brings a lot of morale of the story, but you may get frustrated with the storyline after watching halfway.

EDIT: After watching several more shows, I noticed that this show has a good example of how a last episode should be.

TOP NOTCH CHEMISTRY

Okay, let’s get one thing straight—this romance? INSANE. Like, Hye-yoon and Byeon Woo-seok ATE. Their chemistry?? Off. The. Charts. I was screaming at my screen every time they even LOOKED at each other. I swear, they could be standing five feet apart, and I’d still feel the tension.

Tbh, I almost didn’t watch this because of Kim Hye-yoon (nothing against her, just wasn’t drawn in, watched Extraordinary You because of Rowoon too), but THANK GOD I did. Because this was romance gold. The way their moments felt so raw, so natural, so everything?? Nothing less the peak.

Now, onto the crime plot... meh. Most of the time, crime/mystery subplots in romance K-dramas don’t do it for me, and this one was no exception. But I will admit, the stalker gave me chills. Like, when he appeared infront of Sol or when he kidnapped Im Sol? Instant shivers. Creepy dude aside, though, the crime aspect wasn’t the selling point.

Now, here’s where my rant kicks in—FOUR TIMELINES. I love a good time-travel twist, but did we really need FOUR?! At some point, it started feeling repetitive. And don’t even get me started on the "power of love" suddenly making Sun-jae remember everything—like huh??? That was kinda weird, ngl. But whatever, I was too busy swooning over their romance to care.

Up until Episode 10 or 12? PEAK. Literally flawless. But after Ep 13... yeah, I checked out. Not even gonna lie, I don’t even remember what happened in Ep 14 or 15. Did they get together? Probably. Did I care? Not really, because the high point had already passed for me. I might have to rewatch those episodes just to fill in the gaps.

Now, let’s talk about the Twinkling Watermelon comparisons. I keep seeing people compare Lovely Runner to Twinkling Watermelon, and honestly, it makes NO sense. These two shows are completely different in their execution. Lovely Runner is a pure romance (and it ATE—like 12/10, no, 20/10 romance, not saying that TW was any less than this, I was OBSESSED w TW couples and still am), while Twinkling Watermelon is much more layered, focusing on three different families and developing each of them deeply. TW isn't just about romance—it’s about family dynamics, growth, and multiple perspectives. You can’t just throw them into the same box because they both have time travel. They’re not the same, period.

Final thoughts: Even with the timeline chaos, this drama DELIVERED on romance. Every single scene between Im Sol and Sunjae? Perfection. If you’re watching for romance, you’ll be FED.

Would I rewatch it? Maybe just the first 12 episodes and the last one. Would I recommend it? 100%. Just be prepared for some timeline exhaustion.

Thoughts on the K-Drama Lovely Runner

I just wanted to say how much I absolutely loved Lovely Runner! The story was so captivating, filled with emotion and unforgettable moments. The characters were charming, and the chemistry between the leads was just perfect. Watching each episode was such a joy — I laughed, got emotional, and totally fell in love with them. It’s definitely made its way into my list of favorite dramas!

Best drama of 2024

This was an amazing drama which brought out all the butterflies of kdramas 🥰🥰🥰. love the main leads and the music. loved the story as well even though there were some loopholes. I rewatched this like thrice already and can’t recommend this more!

whatever I was missing in the recent kdramas, I got it all on this one. this was the first drama of both the leads that I watched and it didn’t disappoint. this had everything - story, romance, laughs, heartbreaks… u name it…

What I don’t understand is the comparison between LR and one other drama which was a totally different story altogether! I guess some fans are salty because of the success of LR!

Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Lovely Runner '' is a fantasy romantic melodrama.

The story has a light mood throughout its length, though there is a lot of drama and tragedy in the story. However, the comedy parts were plenty and just enough to keep things entertaining, and the main character was fun and energetic which aided a lot.

Also, the romance was cute and it worked well with the nostalgia that the school and youthful past storyline had to offer.

In addition, the drama did a good job handling the fantasy element and blending it well with the criminal case.

Finally, the performances were all great by every actor and actress in the cast.

So, overall, nine out of ten.

an opinion+advice ♥️

the first eps made cry because when sun jae was trying to comfort im sol on the radio. i relate too much on "thank you for living" cause i also am a fan of a band that is truly unreachable ,their are basically like stars that shines in the night sky its almost like their watching you every night and as some people know night is somehow someones only comforts at hard times. what im saying is the band that i love for me is like a warm blanket on a cold night, they are comfortable and just there for you when you need them . i felt that about im sol ,she lost her legs as i see as her blanket ,the thing that she needs on that cold night is gone ,i guess thats how she felt after the accident ,she felt useless as she saw her mother struggling every single day bcause of her.but that is no ones fault, she just want to end all the struggles .i guess she felt that on her next chance ,shes willing to sacrifice herself so others wont feel hurt. the same for sun jae ,he only wants to protect im sol and be happy together, but thankfully at the end fate gave them the most memorable love experience since they helped each other despite their struggles on their lives. i give a 10/10 ,its definitely a must MUST watch you'll really gain some advices on certain situations that you may incounter on a some scenarios for example like whenever your sad or worried or accidents happens ,always tell someone that you really trust so that you dont feel alone and feel that no one cares about you, remember there is always people who willing to listen.if a your a fan of celebs or band thats making you happy aslong as your not crossing bounderies then you can support or like them as much as you can.

best kdrama in the history of all time tbh

best casting in a drama ever like.. I became huge fans of them both after this. this drama has all the genres and tropes you've ever loved. youth, childhood, loser boyfriend, he fell first AND fell hardest, grumpy vs sunshine, angst etc the list goes on. the ultimate feel good drama that makes you cry and laugh in equal amounts. anyone who comments on plotholes etc just does not get the point of this drama who cares about the time travel plot and script in so much detail???? what makes this drama so good is all the tropes and the funniest and cutest scenes between the two. we get to see them grow up literally. high school to college to adult life we get to see them in every single stage of their life. even their families and friends were so entertaining. never been so obsessed with a drama like the before even the OSTs have me in a chokehold. anyone who thinks this drama is less than amazing just hates happiness that's all there is to it.

A Sincere, heartwarming experience

Look past the obvious pitfall of a story like that - the time slipping, which is the key to the story and it will be a very very very enjoyable experience.

I started the series with no expectations whatsoever, having not read the webtoon it is based on or read any reviews. What started as a tentative dip of toes into this series ended up with a binge watch AND a rewatch immediately.

The story starts with a super fan who was saved from suicide by an idol and how she travels back through time to save him from his death. In the process of trying to save him, she discovers alot of forgotten memories and feelings and learns how he was/is a person who has always been in her life. The result of their realizations is an innocent love that transcends time and space. Its a simple yet very compelling narrative.

The soundtrack sung by the actor himself (as a member of the idol group he is part of in the show) is great. Kim Hye Yoon was amazing - yes she cries in every episode but each tear conveys a different emotion and she is the reason why this series works, she makes Byeon Woo Seok look so good, and now they are both on my radar.

In conclusion - this is one of the best series i have watched so far and is highly recommended.

Why you should watch Lovely Runner

Lovely Runner is a romantic comedy which is about a girl, Im Sol, who travels back 15 years to save her idol, Ryu Sun Jae.

LR is a sweet comedy and i the chemistry between the two leads were amazing! I love the plot twists in the story.

The ending is happy of course, both of them will be together ❤

This 16 episodes drama (each about 1h 10min) is worth to watch, and can be a perfect show to binge on during the holidays.

Overall, I think this drama is funny, romantic, sweet, and cute. I have watched it already but i miss it sooo much. Great plot and good cast

The drama was captivating, telling the poignant story of a girl who travels through time to save the boy she loves. While this plot might seem overused, the execution was truly beautiful. Initially, I thought "Sonaki" was a tacky song, but as the show progressed, it grew on me to the point where it moved me to tears with its beauty. Hats off to Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok, who portrayed Sol and Sun Jae with such grace and emotion, winning all our hearts. I'm so glad I watched this drama.
