Characters We Loved, Ending We Didn’t!
I never thought I’d be writing a review, but I need to vent about the ending—it was so infuriating! After seeing all the characters grow and develop, it felt like a total betrayal to have them all get taken out by a psycho obsessed with CSAT. Part 1 started off so strong, and now I’m just confused about why the writers went such a dark route.I heard that in the novel, a lot of students survived, but in the series, only four made it out alive. I’m relieved that my two favorite characters made it, but it was totally unexpected and left me feeling mixed about everything.

if you see negative reviews for part 2, it's only because of the sad and unreasonable ending.
I honestly don't know how to write a review, so obviously the reason I'm writing this is because this drama was SOO good I had to let my feelings out. The plot was well-rounded and the relationship the students had with each other was very admirable and just overall nice to see. There was never a moment where I felt bored watching this show. Like most captivating dramas, each episode would normally end with a cliff hanger to force the viewer to watch the next episode immediately - this drama didn't even need to this to be binge-worthy. Saying this, the show was split into 2 parts and both parts were equally good. This is quite literally because the show wasn't even near finished after part1, hence the part 2. It's almost like getting half way through Strong Women Bong-soon (or any kdrama lol) and not bothering to finish the rest. I must say, the ending was not the best (sad ending), but even with a bad ending, it wasn't enough to drag this show down in any way. SUCH A GOOD SHOW!!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Im glad i watched it despite the unsatisfactory ending
I really enjoyed watching part 1. Part 2 was good until the ending. All the actors did really well! I especially liked how each character developed and became a team player. Despite the unsatisfactory ending the whole drama was great. Although i wished the writers /producers could have explained what happened to the sergeant wonbin since he clearly looked alive in part 1 ending and why didn't the monitor thingy detect anything at the hospital. Also i enjoyed the funny music video clip at then end that was really funny but sad at the same time.

sometimes a predictable ending is better
part 1 (ep 1-6)i went in knowing nothing and finished ep 6 with very high expectations for any other drama in this same genre. its very stupid to make highschoolers train for war but its fiction so whatever. everything was really cool, the story line was unique and the acting was perfect. some characters were annoying throughout every episode but i had to cut them slack because yk a war, high school kids, a lot of fear and stress. when i finished it i had very high hopes that a certain someone would come back to life magically but i still didnt think it would affect too much the next episodes whether it happened or not.
part 2 (ep 7-10)
honestly i think the writers just didnt know how to wrap it up nicely. i feel like they lost track of the actual story line from part1 because suddenly the spheres werent the main issue anymore. the end was understandable but at the same time it didnt make sense??. in my opinion if they just wanted to kill everyone they shouldve let the spheres do it instead of turning it into the mess that mass killing was. i know it is a realistic consequence of giving kids gun and the stress and trauma of being part of something apocalyptic but bro if i wanted to see that i could just turn on the news because sadly theres a lot of news like that in my tv. and then the drama ended and we still dont know why the spheres were there, where they came from or anything. really disappointed but i got too attached to the characters to say harsh things
i would recommend it because it was really something good and different and i think everyone can make their own opinions and thoughts on their own. dont know if everyone would like it tho

It would have been my favorite drama if it wasn't for the ending ..
I actually really liked the first part that is why I watched this part , I was hoping for a great ending but unfortunately in my opinion they just ruined the show at the end1) I totally hated that they just removed KIM WON BIN from the show without saying a word we didn't even know what happened to him , cause his photo wasn't with the ones that died I thought that he might've gone back to the military camp but why not telling us beforehand ??? also why none of the students mentioned him again ??? even if he would have had a scene that was a flashback of someone it still would have been better , but him disappearing without a word was a big NO for me and because something like that I don't like time skips in shows ..
2) I knew that psycho YOUNG SOO was fishy from the start and I did expect him to do something bad , but him just turning into a monster just because some extra points in a day was so bad and rushed .
3) I really hated that ending , it is not because I hate sad endings , there are so many dramas I like that have sad endings but I hated the fact that they all died for nothing , like all of those build ups to make us love the characters just for them to die in the hand of psychopath that they treated as a friend ??? I would have accepted the ending if they would have died because of spheres cause it would have been more believable , after all that was what they were fighting .
that is why I like the 1st part so much more than the 2nd and I think they rushed it so much ..

the show was great but ending spoiled it.
i started watching thgis drama because my favourite genres are thriller typw dramas like of zombies and all so then part 1 was very nice but there also i didn't expect the ending to be cruel but then i thought part 2 would be having a better ending of the whole drama but all expections dropped down when i saw the last episode i didn't expect the writer to give such a dreadful ending to the soldiers . but afterall its just a drama i appreciate the hardwork of everyone in the drama only if they had made the ending different i would i have given a 10 but other then that it was good it includes thrill, suspense. so if you all can handle the pain you should really watch it but right now *i need a therapy*Was this review helpful to you?
What the heck just happened ? so frigging unpredictable. very realistic apart from aliens aprt
This kdrama is the biggest plot twister show ever made. it caught me by complete surprise. I was SSOOO made at how everyone died but then I thought about it and understood. this is what war really does. Although they were fighting aliens its so bloody realistic. Like if aliens were to invade this is what will happen... except the part where the military magically got a weapon and destroyed all the spheres. that part was pure rubbish. But they way some of the characters and their emotions would get absolutely flopped and shattered was crazy realistic. the way many of the main characters were killed by their comrade and friend was perfectly portrayed. It traumatised me for a few minutes but this is what happens to selfish people who are weak in a situation like this... they get "subdued" under the situation their in. It reminds me of the shootings in the schools in the USA... I think the guy who shot all of his classmates was feeling like the a** ho*** who shoot up schools in the US. This show has a very good message hidden in it... Don't push adults business into children's lives and pressure them. Many parts of this drama part 1 and 2 pissed me off well, like the ending of part 1 where their captain stood smiling at the walls waiting to die in read of trying to find a way to stay alive... but overall its a good show that can relate to reality and weak a** morons like the guy who killed his mates at the end. So I don't know if I would recommend this to any1 becuz it's not for evry1. Few people will like it. But if u read this review to see if u shud watch it then know this... 100% unpredictable, and if u watch it then try to relate the show to reality and wat will really happen if aliens invaded. Then you might enjoy this show. But also know that some scenes are very bloody sad but they're worth it. SO IF UR LOOKING FOR SUNSHINE AND DAISYS THEN DONT WATCH THIS. THIS SHOW IS FOR PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND HOW WEAK, IDIOTIC AND BLIND PEOPLE ACT IN THE REAL WORLD.g'luck and happy binging✌️🖖

I do not post reviews, however I just want to point out that from the POV of someone who has read the manhwa (the source material), the ending of part 2 is a little faithful to the ending in the manhwa with a few changes. In a sense, it is very understandable why the series ended that way. Moreover, most of the character deaths in the series is also faithful to he manhwa. Although the ending for the story is a little disappointing for me, I can't blame the writers since it is what happened in the manhwa. The only plotline I would've wanted the writers to explore and create new scenes in is about the subdued romantic storylines because I am a sucker for subtle romance in the middle of an action/fantasy setting.

Warning- Spoilers are included
First of all, DAS had a wonderful storyline for S01, but sadly, I would say S02 was not good. I would recommend watching until Ep9. That would leave you a lot more satisfied than watching Ep10. Warning: further review contains spoilers. So Ep10 was dragged into the topic of Kook Young-Soo and how he literally killed his platoon members (4 members survived). The whole storyline of S02 hardly revolved around the spheres; it mostly revolved around the 2nd platoon. There were hardly any spheres in the 4 episodes of S02. The ending didn't do justice to the show. I would have been happy if I stopped at S01, but my curiosity about whether Mr. Lee is alive or not made me watch S02 (I watched all 4 episodes till 4:30 am). I don't know what I was expecting from S02, but whatever was released was not how I expected it to be. Where did Wonbin go? S01 ended with students being with Wonbin when the dynamite exploded, so definitely I would have expected Wonbin to be in S02. At least they should have shown what happened and why Wonbin was not with the platoon members. S02 hadso many inconsistency storyline 😢. The S02 storyline was not something I waited for to watch, but the acting from the cast was top notch, especially from No Ae-Seol. Damn, I wanted to slap her here so badly for her naive behaviour, which means Lee Yeon nailed her character. I hope to watch more series or movies with his cast and a good storyline, obviously.
Let's live, Let's Love and hope you enjoy your time by doing what you love 🫶

It has an ending which should be very hard to get over with.
The drama started well in the first season. Initially, it was acceptable that the characters appeared a bit naive since they were just kids. However, this naivety continues into the second season, which takes place two years after the first. The characters seem overly focused on their CSAT exams and returning to their families in safe shelters, despite the fact that almost any young adult would reasonably consider that there might be no 'safe shelter' left in the world, because of the attacks of the spheres. In reality, none of them seem to grasp that the situation they are facing is dire and that joining the fight against the spheres is crucial. Instead, they act as if the sole thing that matters is their CSAT exams. This might be somewhat understandable if they were 15 or 16 years old, but they were actually 20.
There is not much romance in this drama, but it plays an important role. The unexpressed love between Kim Chi Yeol and Lee Na Ra can be a sigh of relief, as the storyline is pretty hardcore.
While the storyline before the final episodes might feel a bit slow, it builds tension that leads to impactful moments. I was feeling during the end of the 9th episode, that something really tragic was going to happen. But what happened on the 10th, was much worse.
One thing I must say is that there should have been something about the whereabouts of Na-Ra and Ae-Seol in the last moments of the drama.
Overall, I would say this is a pretty good drama to watch. There are valuable lessons to learn, such as the 'fear is our greatest enemy'.
I would recommend watching this UNLESS you prefer dramas with happy endings, as this will not fit that description. It took me a week(literally) to process the ending scenes of the drama. The storyline is tragic, yet very realistic. The CGI is also very realistic. the only things that aren't as realistic are the characters' overcare about their CSAT exams and the 'no shortage of sphere-killing bullets'.

Rushed story
Okay at first, i actually really liked the first part and had been waiting forever for this second part to come out BUTTT i am so disappointed. The first episode of this season had me hooked and excited but all that went down the drain because of the last episode. I'm not saying it wasn't sad how they died but I really did not even shed tears even though my favorite characters died. What are we even supposed to be feeling when half the characters died in less than a minute from a really random way? I feel like the writers wanted to make the deaths a plot twist or whatever because most of us were expecting them to die from those sphere if they were going to die BUT ruined it because it just doesn't make sense or feels real. Honestly, I'm not even consider it an ending because it's too rushed and the writers fr messed up such a good plot. *also, where the heck is won bin?Was this review helpful to you?

SPOILERS!! hearts empty
We are TALKING about this ending. I can not believe that he killed of more than half of the class and we didn't get any resolve. I wanted to see Chi Yeol and Na Ra's situation because they both happened to live, but we didn't get anything on her or the other survivors...MY HEART IS EMPTY!! I'm feel so sad without this show cause I really enjoyed the plot and actors. If only the ending, and certain missing plot points like Won Bin disappearing, or the DEAD MAIN LEADS DYING QUICK, were different, my view would be raised for this series! Overall, the casting was perfect, and the production was really smooth and nice to watch. I'm gonna miss this so much 😢Was this review helpful to you?
