opinion
For me, the second part of Duty After School is better than the first. I really liked seeing how the students have to help each other to survive, especially since they’re left to fend for themselves. Despite these very difficult moments, they never lost their smiles, which shows their strength and courage. This solidarity between them is truly touching and makes the series even more human. However, I have to admit that I don’t understand what happened to the second soldier — I really liked him. His absence left me a bit lost, and I wish I had known more about his fate. As for the ending, I find it very powerful and sad, which makes the series truly memorable. It’s precisely because of this ending that I give the series a 9 out of 10.
When I watched the last episodes, I felt very angry and sad to see the characters die. The creator really pushed the emotions to the maximum.

kyoungsoo is an incel
hahahaha u can understand his depth but not justify his actions. If u do the latter, u're crazy. also, it felt like they just have to make him "unlikeable". dude was bullied and I thought that he and the class would be friends in the end. it would be good if it was those science high school students as villains and they are gonna fight those and they're gonna win cuz yeah, mostly the action scenes on the series is about spheres. anyway, the ending kinda felt rush. killing most of the students in class 3-2 was kinda unnecessary (but still makes sense but yeah unnecessary) and then after that having the world to go back normal because wth? they could have escaped all DAT hell and be friends still nd graduate. goodness this is my first time experiencing a k-trauma.Was this review helpful to you?

Something that should’ve NEVER happened! Spoilers
Where do I start….Part 1 was fantastic. It wasn’t totally perfect as there were some mistakes here and there, but overall It's a really good drama.
Part 2 was a mess from beginning to end. Nothing made sense! I had to double-check to see if I was watching the right drama because It felt like a completely different drama. I mean so different that you could honestly watch part 1 as a standalone series. In part 2, There were far too many plotholes, the pacing was weird, and the WHOLE second part felt rushed! I barely felt sad for any of the characters because I was confused. In the end, I was left with so many unanswered questions.
In terms of it being a realistic ending, I guess it all depends on how you look at it. For me, It didn’t give realistic because it was 16 vs 1. They were all better shooters, stronger, braver, and probably smarter than him. So for only 4 to survive doesn’t make sense. I think everyone was stuck on them being teenagers and forgot that they were technically trained soldiers. Trained soldiers who fought spheres, prisoners, and survived on their own. So I feel the minute Young-Soo shot Jang-Soo when he opened that door, they should’ve had their guns aimed and ready. Or even when So-Yeon told everyone what Young-Soo did, they should’ve been at least cautious. The Webtoon ending definitely made a lot more sense.
In my opinion, they should’ve waited to release part 2. Part 1 didn’t even have time to shine before they released part 2, which for some people ruined the whole drama. Now, I know DAS was made 2-3 years ago, so it’s hard to gather all the actors/actresses and reshoot part 2. Especially those who have current dramas or upcoming dramas, but they should've waited to see people’s reactions and go from there. From there, they could’ve either released the already-made part 2 or waited and tried to reshoot part 2. I don’t know about anyone else but I would’ve been fine with them reshooting part 2 and releasing it a year or two later.
Overall I still absolutely love part 1 and will continue to re-watch it. However, Part 2 I will pretend it doesn’t exist. It was alright, definitely traumatizing. I wouldn’t re-watch it.

If one emotion would describe how the end felt, it would be disapointment.
It was good until the episode 9, in the first part, the aliens started to attack the cities, I was asking myself how they could survive or save the other people. In the second part, we saw the had grown up, they were working together and there was a chance they could eliminate most of the creatures. The only problem was in the episode 10, it started to be nonsense, when Gook Yeong Soo started to be strange, just because he wanted to go to the university of Seoul, and from nowhere, he killed one of the students (I don't remember his name :) ) it was okay at first but when he killed the other ones, I felt angry, I was like why did the production do this to the characters, they played well their role and they decided to make them all die, I really don't understand their choice. One other thing that is a disappointment is the lack of logic in the plot, in the second part, we don't know where is Kim Won Bin, he disapeared and we don't see him again, after the prison scene, we don't see a single alien, if we make a conclusion, Gook Yeong Soo killed more people of the group in a few hours than all the aliens in the whole serie, Gook Yeong Soo did in one episode what the aliens tried and didn't acheve to do in the whole serie. Also after almost everyone was killed in the group, two month later, we learn that a weapon was invented, that almost all the creatures are dead and that everything is back to normal, just like if everyone was killed for nothing. One last thing is the music, in the whole serie there is the same music and the put it at the end also, in the last episode, I think it souldn't be in the last episode. In conclusion, you can watch the serie if you want but you will be disappointed by the last episode even thought it is a good serie in global.

Such a Disappointment
This part 2 had so much potential and all it needed to do was to follow in part 1's footsteps. I'm pretty sure that we all loved the aliens' CGI, the way the students interacted with each other and with the soldiers and how they were trying to survive and find out what was behind the invasion and how to stop it. Well, part 2 took all of it from us.It started after a timeskip (why?!) and all the students suddenly were miraculously good shooters, not afraid of the aliens anymore, not even the bigger ones. It was set in winter, yet the fact that the aliens could be killed by cold was simply glossed over by the fact that they somehow adapted to it. Won Bin was gone and absolutely no-one mentioned him even ONCE in the whole drama. We all should have probably stopped watching right after this, because it was clear that part 2 was beginning to steer in a totally different direction.
Instead of a sci-fi thriller, we got a psychological drama. Only a few aliens appeared, and they were mostly just talked about. We didn't learn anything new about them. At the end, it was explained that the army made some super deux ex machina weapon that killed 99% of the spheres. That was so cheap and still left us with so many unaswered questions. But not as cheap as one of the students going mad and killing almost all of his classmates. It was like the part 2 was an entirely different drama.
My final rating is 6.5/10, just because the actors did a wonderful job and the post-credit scene made it a little bit better.

Sad but makes sense
Honestly feel like the whole story was well written even with the tragedy at the end. It feels very realistic because they are kids, even if they were pushed into war and grew up, you can't deny that they are still teenagers. So as annoying as all the whining and fighting was, it makes sense. Adults would be just the same, maybe even worse, we saw that during covid. As much as part 2 sucked for my heart I liked that it all ties together, realistically how likely were they all to survive. What really stuck was the ending where CSAT was "back to normal" with the protesters outside and students still taking exams with barely an explanation. That is the most real thing because as much as the adults say they care how the system is, they won't do anything about it. This entire show portrays the failure the adults are to kids, putting them in a war and convincing them that it was normal and proceeding to allow them to continue whilst holding the biggest exam in their lives like a reward in front of them as if they couldn't just die any moment. Was this review helpful to you?
I dont just get that ending
I dont even know what to say. If im mean please i am sorry but the ending was shit. How will that guy just kill everybody. At least if they wanted to end the film quickly they could have made the spheres kill tyem not that guy. And whats this na, after all the whole drama on spheres and everything, tye endjng was suppose to be action and good, but i was shocked to see everyone killed by the guy, at first i thought maybe they will survive but what was that na, they died. And what was the thing they should in the ending abiut, when they should all of them in the class.Aaah
The ending was a total trash
That was the worst ending i have ever seen
The film was aaaahhhh

Why?!
I really don't know what happend but this was extremely bad. Adding "cool" factor and infantile behavior of characters ruined whole atmosphere that part 1 builded. As i don't want to spoil too much so let this make short.:
-whole prison arc was stupid and just killed lot of time as nobody would done this in such stupid way
-all things about radio was also so stupid and infantile as you don't really need to have military radio as civilian will do the work in emergency and just don't say you can't find single working radio in whole city
-everything from park scene was re**rded - i know they needed/wanted to end it in unexpected way but it was extremely infantile and somehow expected
I will not say to not watch it but be aware - its bad, really bad...

Do not watch the show. It's a waste of time.
Liked the first part of the drama. The second part is where it all started go to downhill. And the ending is the worst. A lot of plotholes.- Where is won bin? He had a scene but it was cut for unknown reasons.
- What happened to the other 3 students who survived at the end of part 1?
- A giant sphere is supposed to be a big threat for them but they didn't even show how scary it can be?
- Chi yeol and Nara storyline is unfinished, they both lived and we didn't see a satisfying ending for them.. Chi yeol haven't even confessed.
- They just time skip for 2 years and suddenly all the spheres are gone? They're supposed to be the villains, and for the ending we just time skipped to the time where they're already gone? Lol
- CSAT OBSESSION IS SOOO UNREALISTIC. The world is literally ending and the students are still obsessed with extra points. And don't they have no common sense? they can't believe CSAT got cancelled when every building, school, streets are filled with human killing aliens?
- Why did they not grab their rifles immediately when they saw Jang Soo got shot? This show literally made them all DUMB at the last possible minute.
If you don't want to waste your time. I would not recommend this show.

Plot holes upon plot holes upon plot holes
mysterious disappearance of Won bin, near unlimited supply of depleted uranium bullets, prisoners alive without food and water for a month, aliens who decimated entire battalions of soldiers getting massacred by barely trained students & finally a dude who went manic not cause of war but rather due to CSAT and decides to massacre all of his friends. I don't know what to say... The first season had plot holes but was enjoyable. But this second part is a mess in every sense. Only thing i can praise are the graphics and the acting of the actor. Actors really did an amazing job. Music in this drama was a bad match for the theme of the story. Was this review helpful to you?
Good Enough
Korean Drama "Duty After School Part Two" is the continuation and conclusion of the story. The drama takes up from where the first part left off, even though it feels like the characters had gone through a major character development, as they are left alone to fend for themselves, while having to choose between staying at their protected spot or venturing out to find their families.
The story, moreover, presents a new twist, with the main villain, in the end, and the main danger being the students themselves rather than the aliens that have now taken over.
As for the characters, they really grew up and distinguished themselves, with their relationship offering plenty of emotional scenes, especially considering that they are just young people robed from their chance of living their teenage years.
Finally, the performances were pretty enjoyable.
However, the ending was rushed and didn't offer any information for what happened next.
So, overall, six and a half out of ten.
