"Mr. Plankton" é um dorama que me prendeu desde o início, com uma história envolvente e cheia de reviravoltas. A trama gira em torno de Hae-jo (Woo Do-hwan), um jovem que carrega o peso de não saber quem é seu pai, o que o torna alvo de discriminação e solidão. Sua jornada em busca da verdade sobre sua origem é profunda e emocional, levando-o a convocar sua ex-namorada Jae-mi (Lee You-mi) para acompanhá-lo nessa aventura. O fato de ele "sequestrar" Jae-mi para ajudá-lo a fugir do casamento arranjado dela adiciona uma camada de complexidade e humor à narrativa.Um dos aspectos mais fascinantes da série é como o primeiro episódio se conecta perfeitamente com a última cena do último episódio, criando um loop que deixa o espectador intrigado e ansioso para desvendar os mistérios da história. Essa estrutura narrativa é genial e aumenta a imersão no enredo.
Jae-mi tem um papel crucial na trama; sua aceitação na família do herdeiro se baseia na falsa alegação de que ela está grávida, quando na verdade, ela enfrenta uma menopausa prematura. Essa situação não apenas aumenta a pressão sobre ela, mas também revela as complexidades das expectativas sociais e familiares. A luta dela para encontrar sua própria identidade enquanto lida com essas circunstâncias torna sua personagem ainda mais cativante.
Hae-jo é um protagonista encantador; seu jeito risonho e otimista traz leveza à trama, mesmo abordando temas pesados como a morte e doenças genéticas. A revelação de que ele tem apenas três meses de vida devido a uma condição hereditária torna sua busca ainda mais urgente e comovente. A ideia de que ele nasceu de um espermatozoide errado adiciona uma dose de ironia à sua busca pela identidade.
Apesar das dificuldades enfrentadas, a forma como Hae-jo lida com os desafios traz momentos de leveza e risadas, equilibrando o drama emocional com toques de humor. É uma jornada emocionante que nos faz refletir sobre família, identidade e as conexões humanas.
Recomendo "Mr. Plankton" para quem aprecia doramas que misturam drama e comédia, além de histórias profundas que fazem você pensar sobre a vida e as relações que cultivamos

It's messy but will have you hooked
Mr. Plankton does have several heart-warming moments but it's mostly a story of a group of people fighting for a chance at happiness even when the odds are against them. Sometimes life gives you lemons and no matter how much sugar you add, you still are left with a bitter aftertaste.But the story is not about the end but rather the journey. Hae Jo, the ML embarks on a journey and drags Jae Mi, the FL along. He is annoying and you want to hate him but just like Jae Mi, every time you end up just pityjng him. He is a man who actually cares a lot but feels like he has to act like a jerk. He's not just trying to protect other people but also himself. And you're forced along for the ride because he can't stop fighting himself every step of the way.
The show is best watched when you aren't emotionally vulnerable yourself because it deals with some difficult topics related to health and abandonment. Unless you need to cry in which case, it might be a good watch.
On the positive side, there are many sweet moments, a decent dose of romance, action, some moments that will make you smile if not laugh and fill you with hope.
The actors have really done a great job and the cast is fantastic.
Personally I won't rewatch this because of the themes but it is a good show and definitely recommended.

The chemistry is off the charts
First of the story was amazing, having a rekindled relationship instead of one from scratch made the story tension so much more entertaining and lee yoo mi and woo do hwan were too good at it, the casting was so good even for SML i loved him too. Honestly watched this how for lee yoo mi because shes so talented and her work in strong woman was so dissapointing, not because of the acting per se but the writing was too much and all over the place.I just love this show so much, it was pretty depressing at times and Hae jo was an asshole when he ran away from jae mi but it was all worth it, atleast the ending helped.
Would really recommend this show to new comers to kdramas too honestly.

Meu Deus do céu, no começo do primeiro episódio eu não estava dando muita moral para esse drama, mas depois do terceiro me envolvi e meu deus, desidratei nos últimos episódios.a história por trás do plâncton e o desfecho.
em cada negativa de paternidade eu só conseguia pensar no pai dele, que tinha que ser ele o desfecho final, e não me decepcionei. achei de uma sensibilidade tremenda o reencontro deles. O ator principal entregou muito, todas as cenas eram de dar nó na garganta.
Acredito que seja o melhor dorama de 2024.

Character-driven story of love, loss and hope
Firstly, I think if anyone has seen the teaser or just watched the first five minutes of the drama, it is beyond obvious where the ending is headed. So it’s better to watch this as it really is—a slice-of-life romantic drama.The show does a great job of diving into the story and creating interest in each character they introduce. Its main strength lies in its strong character writing, which was why I personally enjoyed it. If your main focus is on the storyline as a whole, this might not fit your bill.
The best part is the dynamic between the leads and their absolutely incredible and natural chemistry. There were certain aspects in their reunion that I wasn’t the biggest fan of, but their flawed characters couple up to form a perfect match!
The ML, Hae Jo’s dynamic with Bong Sun is also pretty interesting, and I sort of wish they spent more time on the two instead of certain storylines that should have wrapped up much earlier in the story.
By these storylines, I’m referring to everything around Heung. As much as I love Oh Jung Se (and his combination with another powerhouse like Kim Hae Sook made for some impeccably well-acted scenes), I didn’t see the point of showing us his story as much as they did. Heung spends most of his time mindlessly following our FL Jae Mi around, which was valid until a certain point. After the reality of his situation with her was clear, he still appeared to be lost without her. My main gripe is that his pain did not affect the main leads dynamic at all, and by that point in the story, it added no value to the plot progression because the story was centered around Hae Jo’s last leg. If they cut off certain parts, the show would’ve been more crisp in its later half (like it was in its first) and may have ended in 8 episodes as well.
All in all, this was a great watch and very binge-able once you’re hooked in. Also, I’d like to specifically mention that Woo Do Hwan has never looked as gorgeous as he does here. He was charming and extremely mind-blowing in this role!

I loved the chaos, the unpredictability, the distinctive characters, the over-the-top not always logical scenes (e.g., everything having to do with the deserted island), and especially the acting. I like the fact that the writer did not oversentimentalize the topics of family, friendships, love, and death, as many Korean drama writers tend to do. Seems Deep in the end its just hollow
I have major problems with this show. It is wishy washy in the execution. Kidnapping is all cool. The female lead just changes sides like it's no major issue man, you gotta feel for the second male lead. What was even the male lead planning to do...he just roams around for the 10 ep and just dies. The second male lead runs away from home and can't stop thinking about the female lead but then the second when the FL and he meets they are all good. Bro was just used and thrown as required. Overall not happy with how they dealt with many of topics in the show, they just scrape the surface and move one. I don't seem to understand why the show is rated 8.7. 5.5 for fl, she wasn’t bad but most times she wasn’t good
2 for 2ml, only redeemable scenes was with WDH and they should’ve had more instead of him crying over a girl half his age

5 for editing skills, tho great cinematography, some “teleportation” and jump scenes were confusing
They should’ve focused more on the concept of unlikely familyness, eps 6 and 7 were just useless, and some big plot moves had me
So the dad didn’t abandon him when he was 8, WDH left when he was 18ish
Sure the dad went blank and empty on him but he wasn’t bad and the mom overreacted, agh like seriously it’s not like anyone thought she cheated, or he was gonna leave them or she was hurt and shamed
And she wasn’t gonna leave town, she was gonna kill the kid along…
On another hand, with everything the little girl should’ve had more scenes, also fls life felt sadder and it didn’t make sense why he acted like they’re the same
Her mom abandoned her when she gave birth, then years later went and made another family
2ml did have the trauma of mamas boy but it was pathetic
The mom being suddenly nice and “accepting” anyone ppl as kid replacement but she wasn’t gonna accept her daughter in law
And fl going from marring another dude to randomly not leaving ml and ml hurting her cuz he didn’t want to get hurt
lol I forgot to change the rating, I won’t keep it a 10, it had great promise and potential also saying the dad took him back like he was waiting, and the questionable 2fl and her “mom or lover” yet another weird 12 age gap honestly she was better of with 2ml
The name puns were only fun the first time it was mentioned and I hated the ending like just give us unbelievable happy resolutions honestly his not dad dad was rich enough so was his not lover mom and even 2ml’s mom who was nice when she wanted

This Has to be One of the Best Drama in this Genre The Pace of this is amazing Didn't feel like the story is being streched at any Point of Time The Characters played their Roles So Well Specially the main OnesThe Last 2 Episodes made me Cry so much Not Spoiling Anything Though Simply watch it first and Experience Yourself
Such A Masterpiece Definitely Recommended Only a few Shows make it look like my Netflix Subscription is Worth this is one of them for Sure .

M crying fr
I love this plot. Not a fan of romance genre but this drama made me watch it , cry it . I am crying at the last episode.Acting was superb , Literally loving all the characters. Their acting is mind blowing.
The last line of his ... I am cryingg.
Not every love story has happy ending . But yeah this drama taught me to live life happily! We don't know what's our future lies so yeah have to enjoy our present !

Mr. Plankton was a great watch that started out with very questionable beginnings. Even the characters called out the things that made no sense. I began to understand more, and it became more clear. They were flawed people.The acting was pretty good, even though I could do without some of the wailing like a 4-year-old. (flawed)
However, the execution was decent. I enjoyed the way the series opened the worlds of these characters. I felt bad for Eo Hueng as well as Hae Jo. Despite some issues I just had to ignore, Mr. Plankton was a bittersweet and engaging ride.
