Was good for like 99% of the series

Disclaimer

What I am writing here are my views and thoughts about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a higher or lower score and why it is better/worse than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly respect that.

I must say that I enjoyed this series. It was a bit different from the previous seasons, as was seen in some of the cases (which I will not indulge in so that it won't be spoilers). I felt that made it more realistic and heartbreaking. The fighting and driving scenes were exciting to watch, as they usually are. I will say that I was a bit confused about the last episode, but I read about it online, and I will say this – I am a bit disappointed with the last episode of this series, as it carried us on such a wild ride and just ends...so. But I am grateful for going on another journey with the Rainbow Taxi crew. And if we get seasons anymore, I will be there for those, too.

is it still the taxi driver we know?

unfortunately to me this season felt underwhelming in both revenge and emotional intensity which was caused by a few factors:

————> structure:
three episodes for a case felt dragged comparing to the previous format of two episodes per case (seasons 1-2); what’s even more ridiculous is that all cases got two episodes EXCEPT the final one (supposedly the darkest) only got two and as a result felt incomplete

———> lack of emotional impact from main characters
doki became almost like a superhuman with massive plot armor (even more than in seasons 1-2); still somehow writers managed to put him in three near death situations and i do have a huge problem with this for one particular reason- they just brushed it off each time, we have a dramatic action then a fast forward to doki being fine again, no concerned looks, no team boning; in my opinion dramatic scenes like these only work when emotions are involved, otherwise they look almost ridiculous and stir nothing in the viewer; sadly it happened in the finale as well which honestly disappointed me the most- why did doki basically let himself get shot and then jumped off the cliff when he could’ve easily just pushed the other guy off? it just doesn’t make sense, the entire season he fights people without a single scratch and then walks right in front of the gun? was that supposed to indicate that he feels guilty and wants to punish himself because of that female military officer who died? if so then why didn’t we get a deeper dive into earlier than 10 minutes before the end of the season?
the other thing i feel extremely disappointed about is the complete abandonment of doki’s trauma and ptsd, i might’ve missed how and if it was resolved in season two but i’m not gonna lie i expected it to come back to the surface once he rejoined military; that storyline was important because it was reminding us that even tho he has enormous power he’s still human with weaknesses just like the rest of us;

——> lack of one main storyline
another surprise was the fact season three doesn’t have that one main storyline that connects all episodes together (unlike in seasons 1-2);
overall it feels like with each season taxi driver losses more and more of that heavy atmosphere (not sure why it feels this way since the cases itself are still intense but it does to me); the fact this series wasn’t afraid of discussing difficult matters and would offer consolation without too much unnecessarily light moments (which changed for the worse later on) was exactly what pulled me in and made me watch it in the first place;

——-> sudden shift in morals
season three paints a new picture of the rainbow taxi team- not they are not afraid to kill during the revenge, this is probably the most important thing about this season and something that just doesn’t sit right with me; in seasons 1-2 kim doki was doing what he was doing to help people who were wronged and failed by the system, he was always in that morally gray area but he’d never kill his target, this season not only does it happen a few times where he and his team are ready to do so but also it’s never discussed or showed in any way whether or not they have any issues with that; to me personally kim doki was a well written character precisely because he still had his moral code, getting rid of it feels untrue to what we knew about his values from previous seasons;

i did like the first case the most i enjoyed the dynamic between doki and the detective plus ofc between him and the villain; this case kind of reminds me of my beloved the worst of evil; the kpop case is also a noticeable one so this season is still definitely worth checking out

even after pointing all of these out and admitting i am disappointed a bit i still think the entirety of taxi driver is worth watching and its one of best dramas i’ve ever seen :)))
i’d gladly watch season 4!!!

What a thrilling ride, as always.

just watched episode 16, and the last 30 mins were kinda weird. like why everyone listening to the general when he's not a general anymore? let's say they do. that last gun shot scene was extremely weird. Then showing them meeting was destined aas cute but then showing Go Eyn waking up in tears and taxi area all gloomy, I thought that all was a dream and Driver kin actually died. then panning to them a few years later i guess cus Go Eun had bit longer hair and them still working together meaning Kim didn't die, this all was so confusing. But I choose to believe they all survived and are still knocking those heads that deserve to be knocked!

Justice, Rage, and Perfection, Still Untouchable

Taxi Driver is not just a series to me it’s one of my all-time favorites, and Season 3 proves once again why it deserves that title. From the moment it starts, it reminds you exactly what it does best: righteous anger, sharp storytelling, and justice served without apology.

And yes it helps that my favorite actor Lee Je-hoon is leading the show. Watching him return to this role feels powerful, almost cathartic. He doesn’t just play the character; he owns it. Every stare, every controlled burst of rage, every quiet moment before violence hits he carries the weight of the stories with precision and heart.

Season 3 feels more confident, darker, and emotionally heavier. The cases hit hard, rooted in real societal wounds, and the show never waters them down. It balances action with meaning so well that every revenge feels earned, not glorified. You don’t just cheer you feel why this justice is necessary.

What I love most is how the series never loses its moral core. It asks uncomfortable questions, exposes cruelty, and still manages to give viewers a sense of release. Few dramas manage to stay this consistent across seasons, but Taxi Driver doesn’t just maintain its quality it elevates it.

This season solidifies Taxi Driver as one of the strongest, most satisfying Korean series out there. If you’ve loved it before, Season 3 will remind you why. And if you haven’t watched it yet? You’re missing out on something exceptional.

S3 revenge and justice stories were pretty good

I love S1 and S2 and I thought they set up the villains and stories pretty good for the audience to hate the villains and root for those that hire the premium taxi service. There's no overarching story this season so there's plenty of fresh stories that the Taxi crew can get on top of.

Yes, it's incredibly unrealistic and definitely exaggerated but they make the series funny and the cast has good camaraderie. The plots feel resolved, except for maybe the last one. Felt like they could have done more but it's not enough to tarnish this season. Hope we get S4.

5283...

This is my first time writing reviews. This season was a good one, the ratings were quite strong and it managed to draw viewers back to the screen once again. However, compared to the first two seasons, it had some shortcomings. Especially in the second season, we learned a lot about the characters’ pasts, their traumas, what they went through, and the things that shaped who they are now. This season, on the other hand, felt like it focused only on their enemies. Of course, considering the genre of the series, there’s nothing wrong with that, but I would have liked to see more scenes where the team spent time together, or at least small moments that gave us bits of their backstories. I’m not referring to the last two episodes where we learn things about Kim Do Gi, that’s not what I mean.
Also, since the first season, it felt like something was going to happen between Go Eun and Do Gi, but it never really did. In the second season, their scenes, especially the one on one moments, felt more frequent. For example, Go Eun would grab her beer and go sit next to Do Gi while he was working out on the terrace. Those scenes were enjoyable to watch, I wish we had seen similar moments this season as well.
What they fight against is difficult, exhausting, and dark, so to avoid boring the audience while telling these stories, they included humorous elements, which I personally think was a very good choice. In the last two episodes, there were quite a few illogical things. I won’t go into detail to avoid spoilers, but still… Also, the final episode felt like a rollercoaster, and unfortunately I enjoyed it less. Especially the last 10 minutes were really bad.
I think Taxi Driver did what it could and completed its mission. This season, I could feel that the writer struggled a bit. If a fourth season comes, I’ll definitely watch it, even if there are ten seasons, I’ll watch them. But if this truly is the final season, I’d say they did everything they could, and I wouldn’t be upset. It was an enjoyable journey, glad I watched it.
7/10

It ain't over yet

so after 2 seasons you will think what more can they offer for a 3rd season , I started watching this season for the fear of missing out but it was still giving , some episodes we stronger than others ,but if they are thinking to go for a 4th season they shouldn't make it as cases separate from one another , what they did in season 1 and 2 was way better, it was many revenge stories that were all tied to the same villain which was more interesting, that being said this season deserves to give it a chance.

Trash

This series is an absolute dumpster fire. What started with some potential has devolved into a shameless political soapbox. With each season, the writing gets more juvenile, the storytelling lazier, and the characters more cartoonish. Subtlety is completely gone, replaced by blunt messaging that insults the viewer’s intelligence. Instead of evolving, the series regresses into something cringeworthy, preachy, and painfully dull.

Superb Drama, so glad there are more episodes.

This was stunning. Fabulous story lines. Magnificent Male lead. I thought it was over at Episone 10 I an so happy there are more to go. Each Story had it's own charm. Great work from the scriptwriters. The episode of the doddgy car salesmen was my favourite. I laughed so much. The missing son one was sad and beautifully done. Loved the feeling of restoring justice and bringing down the crooks. This is my favourite Drama for a while. I noticed a lot of K and C Dramas Have been turning out some trash, so a good quality Drama is restorative. The acting was superb across the board. Enjoy.

i loved this drama so so so much but one thing i regret so much that they didn't include any romantic scene between kim do ki and Ahn go young. i really hoped till the last episode for their dating news but nooo they just remained coworkers although they's clearly more than that!! 😭😭 but but the last story specifically the ending was mediocre... it wasn't mind blowing as the rest of the drama at all. but anyway it was a good watch altogether.

Taxi Driver 3

This is my first time following an ongoing drama that's already been running for three seasons. It feels like there's a curiosity that's hard to express. Theorizing together and guessing the ending is truly that exciting.

From the first case to the finale, the execution this time is truly satisfying. The Rainbow Taxi team executes the villains according to their portion, even without hesitation, burying them alive.

The second case that I think is very good is placed at the beginning, where the chemistry between Kim Doki and Matsuda Keita is seen. It builds the interest of many people and makes them crazy about their chemistry. Matsuda's dialogue about not having friends to send food photos to is relatable to many people, and that's what makes this villain hard to hate, but nevertheless they can't be justified. Also, the most interesting case this time is in episodes 12-14, where Kim Sung Kyu plays the villain. Although they seem almost on par with the Rainbow Taxi team, they're actually nothing. The epic scene: one taxi can blow up four cars at once, and there's a truck in there? I think that's absolutely insane.

And today is the end of Taxi Driver. I don't want to leave because each episode has a different case. This drama must continue until season 1999, 1738, 29??? Basically, Taxi Driver is one of the many dramas with a different case, each episode is a must-watch. You all must watch it ⭐️⭐️⭐️
