A big disappointment

this drama started strong with great plot and character motives , in the middle it became flat and they dragged it out for a very long time and finally a very rushed ending .

they kept talking about how Hua or empress LV was vile and ruthless but we saw nothing like they gave her 10 minutes in the final episodes we wanted more but about her backstory we never got to know anything maybe some little details but it wasn't enough.

taohua needed to make her mind does she love zaiye or not the kept going back and forth and she leaving him for his own good so he doesn't get hurt It just dragged things out It wasn't good at all .

in the end when he wanted to save her so he took the poison was a stupid plot , I mean we get the FL to live but kill ML what is that .

they just wanted a sad ending for no reason , even at the end I don't get did he wake up or was she just dreaming "imagining" .

really disappointed , on the other hand acting , casting ,music and the plot at first were great.

strong beginning and a strong finale but was dragged in the middle .

so I get why the rating kept dropping in the first few episodes and I would have dropped the show However I kept watching and I am glad I did .

with such a strong beginning it gets you hooked and keep watching this applies on first 3 episodes after that it wasn't great , after Beiming was falsely accused and disappeared we didn't get to see what was he doing or what did he find out I mean he is the ML after all but we got to see xueman and how she was devastated and the changes that happen in both elite constable unit and secret investigation one , wished we had followed the story with the main lead

the part where ML was poisoned was boring and clichΓ© what is it with ML gets poisoned trope .

the final part maybe last 8 or 10 episodes were great when we got and explanation of what happened in haiya and true yesha was revealed .

in the final episode , I wanted to see we they went back to help people of haiya and when the emperor clarified what happened and people knew about haiya .

if they had stuck more to the main storyline I guess people would have liked and rated it more . this is just my opinion 🀷

Round and round we go ...

we kept going in circles and repeating same events for 9 or 10 episodes , it started strong then became weird and confusing with the body swapping then dragged till we got a great ending

I know this one has fantasy in it but the body swapping at first made no sense, couldn't get how it served the plot yet as we go on , we get to see that made it was for living in each other shoes for once she saw how helpless he and his father we against kim han cheol, and he saw how it was difficult for her to stay by his side yet she chose to .

so here what went wrong : when you keep building plot in one direction which is to find the bird and prove the late queen was poisoned and killed and the owner of the bird was the killer , you just kill the bird in the stupidest way yet crown prince wasn't mad or anything , he forget about his revenge for a second there

it made no sense that he loved park dal and starting forgetting about his late wife even though we saw how her death tormented him yet he seemed to forget about it all when he fell in love with dal.

kim han cheol was willing to go very far for his revenge we get he hated the royal family for causing the death of his love yet he was a coward who left her for the king , I know of course he couldn't say no to the king or confront him yet he could have taken her and run away , trying to kill park dal when she was crown princess was just like what the royal family did to him , if he hated it so much why let other go through the same thing although they did nothing wrong .

kim han cheol didn't even had a clear goal , he wanted his daughter to marry the cp and one day become the empress for what , he was already controlling the king and crown prince . let's talk about making a strong villain with no clear goal .

Not what I expected ....

so basically the story is compelling and acting is great but somehow I feel something is missing .

from the get go they focused on FL story and it's obvious given the drama's title but the kept trying to make her so independent and strong to a point to me it felt annoying I mean I get it she is a general and spent her life fighting and training but she is a women it was okay to see xiao jue protecting her for once but it was he yan protecting him all of the drama .

chu Zhao was the greyist character I have ever seen like are you good or evil couldn't get it , At first he served xu jingfu but all of a sudden he was helping FL maybe out of love but I think it's more out of ambition , the final part when he prevented FL and ML marriage was so useless and the breaking point for me when he more or less caused yan he 's death like it's people's lives at stake let your schemes and ambition aside for a moment .

the emperor what was he doing, like anyone advise him with something , he is like sure let's do it , not your typical cdrama emperor they are always cunning and clever , this one seemed weak for me .

some things felt rushed for me I would have wished to see he ruefei execution , he yan mother's funeral those were sentimental moments for me but we didn't get to see it .

both leads and supporting actors did a great job .

loved the scene when he confessed his love for her at court .

but can't get over the fact that she lived most of if not all of her life as a man, how was she acting all cute when she asked him to train her in the beginning and in alot of different occasions , It didn't convince me at all that she was raised as a man , she was acting as a girl for me 🀷

great drama but for me it was lacking .

Truly a masterpiece

I mean where do I start from acting , plot to CGI all were great .

not your typical enemies to lover , loved jinan but prince Annan has has own charisma wished they showed more of him , I guess jinan was prince Annan's true self but he didn't show it , understanble he is a general after all.

loved the supernatural element with the man in black , at the end when he went to wuling mountain to get jade linlong back and the fight scene with taijin forces after that was great.

hated the taijin's crown prince in most of the show 😀 , but after he saved li Shaung and lure aodeng to be with her , he is forgiven πŸ˜…

loved the ending, thought for a moment it was a sad one , glad it turned out this way but I missed qiao though wished they didn't kill he off 😒

the scene when she woke up and pretended to forget who she is and who he was I was like not this again πŸ˜‚ I wanted them to remember each other and have a happy ending.

great start , dragged midway and unsatisfying finale ...

so this has been a roller coaster of emotions
a strong start , draws you in , fugui the emotionless solider who is looking for his father's acceptance , hongyue who only wants his son an emotionless weapon to kill demon to fulfill his promise to huazhiu also I think he got it all wrong you get to see it through the drama .

so the upside was you get well written charaters and great actors up till episode 12 when fugui left wangquan manor after that it dragged way too long the western reigons arc could have been summed in 5 episodes way did take like 12 or 15 episodes way too much.

qingcheng obseession with his sister what was that , I mean the only reason I could think of the writer putting that part was to keep Qingtong away from fugui for no reason what so ever maybe just to drag the drama for few more episodes truly disgusting and unessecary .

in the 2nd half of drama , I guess the written forgot there was romance in the category and qingtong basically disappeared , i mean she was the FL her scenes in the 2nd half of the drama were so little and no there was no development at all .

Quan jingting truly despicable he will do anything for power even killing his own son .

rumu and weiyun ending truly is heartbreak wished for a better ending for them .

they shouldn't have dubbed this drama it was truly annoying like you know it's not cheng yi 's voice .

cheng yi as the villain was great , he needs to play more villain roles .

the ending needs a review itself, truly hate it , fugui and qingtong didnt get a proper goodbye .

it didnt know what went wrong with this one but it felt like 1st half was written by a writer and 2nd half with a different writer πŸ€”
he was writing to add more episodes without building for the ending truly disappointing 😞

mixed feelings ?

if you are in it for the romance it's great , the plot not so much .
you get a great start with all mystery around lin xirou , earth fiends, South mountain hunters and our ML and FL.

we got to know yan tou's and nie jiluo' background which was great .
the characters' individual growth and development was great

in the end we were left with some unanswered questions what happened to yan tou 's sister is she dead , how did jieluo's mother become that white haired earth demon ? what is she doing in the twilight chasm ?

the ending was so anticlimactic , from lin xirou's death , deaths of hunters and how the ending turned out as a whole , for me the ending was disappointing, it's like that kept building up for nothing .

yet glad it was a happy ending , FL losing her memory of ML was so uncessary .

started great then it became flat

this one had a great potential in the first 3 episodes like we got to know the main cast on individual level then it showed everyone's purpose of joining the police after being an athlete.

the acting , casting and music were great .

the problem with this one is they kept dragging it for too long , I mean at the beginning it was fast paced so I thought it was gonna be more than one case but I was wrong it was the same one dragged for too long .

the villians were great , for me maybe that saved the show a little .

what I really hated that this could have been wrapped up in 12 episodes or so, in the middle it felt like the plot became flat , alot of violence and fight scenes that I didn't feel were necessary like they were fighting because we have to emphasize that they were Olympic athletes and to focus on the skill the had but it didn't serve the plot in any way.

Anyway it was fun to watch but I had alot of wasted potential

Not what I was expecting

so from the summary you think you will get a heartwarming family drama focused on our little woo joo and romance between ML and FL and how they become family in the end, but you couldn't be more wrong , the drama loses its main focus mid way

it kept focusing on the FL and second ML love story rather than the main plot , which I hated.

I really didn't get why they had to make a love triangle in such a drama πŸ˜•

the little boy is what kept me going , other than that this drama was a big disappointment for me .

Truly bittersweet ....

we get a strong start , great music and great acting .
luo yun xi truly did a brilliant job playing tang lici and conveying such complex emotion maybe that's what kept me going , we get to see a strong and cunning character yet emotional , even though tang lici denied having emotions a lot of time during the series but you can clearly see it , born to kill and allowed to feel or do anything except for becoming strong , he gets a chance to turn everything around after escaping from his realm , the time he spent at zhoudi tower truly shaped what he became in the end .

liu yan was well portrayed by allen feng , for a misunderstanding " thinking tang lici kill feng zhou on purpose " he was hell bent on killing tang lici and avenging feng zhou yet you can see through the drama he was hesitant at some points during the drama , but couldn't get why he would believe ghostly peony over tnag lici his friend ?? even after tang lici told him the truth he still doubted it .

zhong chunji truly annoying during the whole drama , you don't know her motives , indecisive and coward , you would hate her more as the drama goes , especially after she falsely become the princess , she will do anything for power lie , hurt her friends , she didn't even try to help her shifu we he was killed in front of her maybe she was less powerful than ghostly peony and xifeng tao still at least she could have said something when they were falsely accusing tang lici .

xaoshi was a surprise for me , didn't expect him to be ye mo .
a shui what was her role exactly , don't know what was the purpose of such character , maybe to keep tang lici alive in the first half ? a very forgettable role for me

finally , the finale was a bit lacking , although everything is reversed and everyone is back , wished tang lici returned or at least they remembered him , after what they have been through . everyone got his happy ending except tang lici , what a pity .

All about the romance ...

the drama started strong which draws you in but after lord hanfeng arc it became weak and be became more focused on romance and for me it became flat.

acting , music , CGI and styling were all great

situ ling for me was way too obsessed with the FL although she helped and was the only one who treated him like a decent human being, he never saw fuyue right by his side this whole time , truly sad how things ended up for her .

this drama focused too much on romance which i wasn't expecting to be the main element when i started watching .

some character storyline were rushed .

love the plot twist at the end when ji bozai was the real ming xian.

overall great , just wished they didn't focus that much on the romantic aspect .

Don't judge a book by its cover ...

when I read the plot summary of this drama I thought it was going to be cringe and weird , yet i've decided to give it a chance and I was completely wrong it was great from the start with the murder mystery and fan who wanted to clear her idol's name .

it was heartwarming and fun to watch although at sometimes it felt a bit rushed nonetheless it was great on many levels , truly didn't expect who the killer was until the very end , maybe because they didn't give us that many clues till the very end .

was it perfect ? NO but it truly deserves your time .

Not a single dull moment

It has it all from acting , visuals , great character development and a great story line

loved the characters awakening and how the didn't only focus on the main leads .

when the emperor belived has Nan heng and they started acting like father and son was great .

Nan Rui development through out the story was great .

hated chu guihong , like the truth is infront of him and he won't believe the nan heng has nothing to do with pingrong battle , even in the end he never tried to make ends and when he took has own life he felt he was wronged , even though he brought it upon himself .

shangguan he and yiting as a couple were cute 😍, not to forget Nan Rui little romantic moment in the end .

what I loved more was when they met in the modern era .

this one isn't a 10 for me because of some loopholes like how we are talking about two different scripts yet the FL never read the script of ADWAD and it was same as dream of qinying and how did screenwriter wrote he entered the world of a dream of qinying and still ended up in ADWAD script and where did he go in the end ??

great but still lacking...

this drama has a great premise and strong start you just get drawn in and keep wanting to find the truth .

all actors did a solid job which made the whole drama great to watch, yet the plot was dragged in the middle and left alot of things weren't explained well or left to chance .

like Feng and feifei meeting for the first it didn't clarify it that much yet she called him bestie , like when did it happen , we got no solid background just some fast flashbacks, maybe the plot made them know each other just to make it more dramatic in the end .

wu guohao is a monster , the ultimate manipulator , the actor did a great job , couldn't keep myself from wanting to slap him , yet the ending was very unsatisfying after all the evil deeds he has done he got the easy way out, he deserved to suffer .

the thing that alot of people may hate about this drama is it slow storytelling and some nonsense at some points like how can you hide a very important confession letter in a old sneaker , I mean what he had thrown it away .

nonetheless this was truly great .
