started strong then lost its potential..

this drama in its first 19 - 20 episodes was great on many different level , great script, acting and character building, then when the second arc began when xie zheng returned to the army and linan mascara everything was going downhill real fast , the kept dragging and focusing at something ridiculous 'ML real identity' which could have been revealed to FL early on than 26th ending they kept dragging and forgot that they had a main storyline they had to finish , the palace arc was so rushed ,wei yan supposedly the main villain yet he never got any decent screen time on the other hand qi min who kept planning revenge for so many years was defeated so easily in half of an episode maybe less😕 wondering what was all this building for if we are going to get a rushed ending .

this drama kept focus on 2 couples qi min and yu qianqian and our main couple but why did they leave out gongsun yin and princess royal ?

what also annoyed me is the war scenes were extremely rushed, and the very small number of soldiers that appeared despite saying the sui army had 30,000 soldiers obviously that was not the case (may it was a budget issue) but it was really annoying watching soldiers appear and suddenly disappear in the next shot .

when ML knew that changyu was wei qilin's daughter (supposedly the traitor who cause his father's death 17 years ago) of course changyu had nothing to do with it but at least you could have showed us he was reluctant to be with her or at least didn't forget his goal to avenge his father and that he cared it seemed like he only cared about changyu , it was the opposite way around changyu was the one who distanced herself .

last episodes were a bit rushed yet it held some great plots , li huaian coming to his senses and stop helping his grandfather with his plan to put qi min on the throne , grand tutor li already knew that qi min was an unfit and ruthless ruler yet he was doing it for power and that li family becomes stronger than wei family in court .

sui yuan qing's ending was also well deserved (betrayed and alone ) but at least he did a good deed before he died.

what wei yan did 17 years ago they made it seem that it was the emperor's fault but he was not free of guilt as him trying to get rid on FL and her sister afterwards was extreme and unjustified .

wei xuan sacrificing his life to XZ was a bit confusing , he said it was because he saved his mother but throughout the whole drama we saw wei xuan complaining to wei yan that he prefered XZ over him and was clearly jealous and about it , I thought he hated him so that scene was out of nowhere for me.

this drama has the most ridiculously funny emperor 😂 laughed at almost all his scenes , not your typical cdrama emperor , yet his ending was sad .
song yan's discovery of ML 's identity and that FL became a general was quite funny and his dismissal of his position was well deserved after what he did to FL .

after all what has been said , this was a great drama that lost potential midway .

Greed , betrayal and a game of thrones

from the start you think this one is just another enemies to lovers drama but it is not that simple , the more you watch it's not just about romance , this drama has it all greed , betrayal , brotherhood and family issues .

loved how they turned from enemies to lovers , it took time to build their trust and to understand one another , they went through life and death together which made it more enjoyable to watch .

the emperor of susha is such a complex character you hate him for manipulating suige all his life to make him hate him and overtake the throne which suige never wanted in the first place , but in the end you pity him as he was blinded by power as all emperors 😒 and died all alone and betrayed.

xia jingshi such a despicable and obsessive charater he was also blinded by power and wanted to take the throne from his half brother as he was a playboy who never cared about state affairs , it's his method that makes you hate him he was willing to sacrifice yixiao for the throne yet after she lost her memories of the incident , he was willing to do whatever to get her back although she didn't want to go with him yet you pity him for the treatment he was getting since he was young for being a bastard yet it doesn't justify his actions .

Feng xiyang truly had it the hard way from the spoiled princess of susha who had her father and brother's protection to being all alone in jingxiu , i didn't get how she fell in love with xia jingshi after seeing him once and for sparing life , yet she was so nauve to leave everything behind for him but she got nothing in return except him trying to kill her .

emperor of jingxiu changed for the better after falling in love with xiyang , wished for a better ending for him .

zhang shen and the empress was a well deserved ending .

the murong family, I don't get why general murong tried to kill suige after the emperor spared Yao , like he was obsessed with protecting his son but from whom .

truly a masterpiece yet I think the ending was a bit rushed nevertheless it was great .

great start that went downhill really fast

so this series has a great idea or story to tell , that you will never understand human nature , if you had the chance to kill those who wronged you will you do it or will you let go ?

with this great idea this drama started strong but will poor execution and rushed ending it turned out really disappointing.

we didn't get to see why moon baek [blue brown ] wanted to sell guns in Korea I mean I don't think It was just business , we didn't get to see his motives , even that he took revenge on the people who harmed him when young ,he just continued selling guns to the whole country , so what was his plan ? was it just for chaos???

the ending was so rushed like in ep 9 lee do was shot and was in a coma when he woke up the whole country was turned against each other , I mean time was flying in the last 2 episodes and I don't get what they were building for in the first 8 episodes no character development nor did we get to see the main character motives instead we focused on the secondary characters which was great nonetheless, but we neglected the main storyline .

overall great idea that wasn't executed so greatly .

A relatable superhero...

first of all I didn't read the manhwa so this is my opinion based on the drama and I am not comparing it with the manhwa .

so this a superhero drama with a bit of twist which made it relatable , a young man working hard and saving for an apartment to marry his girlfriend suddenly inherits superpower that will drain his money everytime he uses it , so will be use his superpower to save others or will he keep his money to fulfill his dream .

minsuk at first seemed so selfish 🙄all she wanted to do was to earn and save money , she even started selling sang ung stuff and he had nothing to say about and when he told her about his superpowers and that it required money she kept telling him not to help anyone , yet as we go along she sees what is important and gives him money to his superhero business .

sang ung the whole life turned upside down when he got those powers yet he still helped other people even if it meant losing his savings , although he wanted to sell those powers sometimes and get money like every normal human being would do which makes him relatable .

the villains were so badly written and rushed like the were there to do harm and bad stuff with no clear motive , they left us speculating really .

if we say cho Anna is doing all this to be heir , why is her father even doing it we never got a backstory , when was that mundane association or whatever it is called created ?
why cho Anna hated and tried to kill cho Nathan?
if cho won do 's great grandfather borrowed money from park jeong ja's great grandfather is the paper jeong ja found even eligible to be controlling cho won do in the end ???
so cho Anna was basically killed off like it was nothing , her father didn't get a great contribution either so was the main protagonist ist cho Nathan?

what was Nathan even talking about when he said that he planned it all along from the bus incident when sang un stopped the bus from falling and saved everyone , they tried to make him look like a mastermind but failed like he knew sang un 's father true identity and kept following him these years and knew exactly when he transferred his powers to his son and came up with master plan so why didn't we get a flashback or an explanation?

alot of questions were left unanswered and it was rushed along some points , nonetheless it deserves to give it a chance.

Fabricated city all over again....

so if you have seen ji chang wook's movie fabricated city this series has the same premise with a very big difference ; the movie had a better satisfying end .

so it starts strong and keeps you hooked until it became flat in the middle with our ML clueless and looking for who did this to him and we get drawn into a mini squid game in the middle just to give us an excuse how ML got out of jail .

acting was 10 out 10 especially kyungso perfect ruthless psychopath you can tell even from his eyes that he is crazy.

so many charaters introduced without a background they were just added to kill someone or to be killed [ Chinese girl with the knives , the guy with glasses who killed tae joong brother ].

we never got to see what happened to yohan's biological mother , we got subtle hints that she caused his parents death but we never got to know how.

we didn't even have a proper background for yohan when he started this whole idea for fabricating evidence , why he turned out to be what he is now we will never know

what bothers me the most we didn't get to see him get sentenced or paying for what he has done .

this one had potential and a strong start yet it ended up lacking alot of details in the end although they had 12 episodes they could have explained somethings better than what they had done .

Not your typical revenge drama ...

it started like a simple revenge drama with some strategies and scheming but turned out to be more complex.

ML isn't your typical protagonist he is ruthless, calculating and always one step ahead "which bothered me in the first half of the drama " no matter how smart you are , you just can't see every move your enemy will make .
this all changed with the death of his sister bai wen , although her death scene didn't make any sense because they were looking for a man yet she clearly had a female physique yet they killed her 🫠 guess that was necessary for another plot later .

xiao wenjing character development is the greatest I have seen recently from a spoiled brat to reliable emperor " yet he chose not to rule"and a loyal brother .

the drama always kept you nervous of what was going to happen next only to discover that is was xie huai an 's game all along , even in the end they hinted that he is not really dead.

ye zheng loyalty to huai an was touching.
the way huai an tricked yan fengshan and killed him was genius only for us to to discover later that he wasn't dead and huai an had a bigger paln.

this was great on so many levels and truly a masterpiece .

An okay drama ....

so the first two episodes didn't encourage me to keep going yet I have finished it somehow .
before starting this , the plot summary suggested that it was going to be a rom com with some depth to it yet after watching it ended up superficial and rushed for me .

the first thing that didn't work for me was the love triangle , it came out of no where and ended up adding nothing why was it there in the first place " maybe to fill some episodes ?!!".
min uk and min ran may ended have something in the end " they started dating i guess" but of course they also didn't focus on this they just hinted .

we never got to see a proper healing process for du jun or hui won , it just like in the end he was able finally hold her hand and his trauma was healed , of course he visited his brother's grave and his sister in law apologize and told him she forgave him yet it was rushed and as for hui won she gust forgave her mother after all she has done , like she forgot all of that easily .

of course this had a lot of cute scenes that made FL see that ML cared about her and made her want to have a family yet this also had all cliche scenes of a rom com .

for me this was an okay drama , if you want something light and funny give it a go .

should've seen the writings on the wall ...

so this is the same screenwriter for sword and beloved , that being said ; here's what went wrong

from the start everything was confusing and tended to be rushed and made non sense , the scene where she stabs him in the beginning , her running away and getting caught , the wedding by the way you get all of this in first episode , then we get a flashback without even giving us a hint that was a flashback , you find out from the context that they don't know each other yet

the ML with his cold illness like he is dying and getting poisoned every episode and FL is crying for him it was really tiring .

FL indecisiveness like make up your mind do you love ML or wanna kill him for kill your master , one minute she is plotting to hurt him and the other she is in love with him .

a lot of dragging in the middle she gets kidnapped , he tries to save her by using a stronger poison to suppress his cold poison and we drag for a little bit

prince of yuzhang the most clueless person i've ever seen or he is playing dumb don't know , nevertheless he the one who gets to live in the end ,

Du tingxin can't remember her name , however , for 19 episodes no sure of the number , she is all about i want to save xiao huan he is my savior , suddenly she discovers she is his half sister and a princess and get that hunger for power and goes into i am gonna kill everyone phase .

for ep 20 onward everything becomes a whole lot messier .

ML role here was all about suffering and dying the end , don't know what was I expecting from allen ren drama usually they all have sad endings or he dies .

everyone dies empress dowager , FL , ML , du tingxin "not sure " , zhong lin "don't know why she died " , xiao ying .

on the bright side acting was superb and music also and that's it can't think of something else .

if you watch this drama don't expect much .

Truly a MASTERPIECE ✨️

I mean where do I start , great acting , great chemistry between leads even other couples were great , great plot .

from the start to finish everything was great although for me in the middle it dragged little bit , but the ending was great and a big plot twist .

I mean I suspected the emperor had to do something with all the deaths at the end but never understood why would he kill his own sons , turned out to be an imposter 😅

everyone got their happy ending, that's what was great about the ending .

loved that this drama was fast paced and ML was smart enough to know that she was shen Wan not Qin Wan, I would have hated to see you betrayed my trust arc .

so sad that it had to end 😩

where do I start , I loved everything about casting , acting , music it was great .

loved that we didn't get the dimsel in distress type FL.

loved ML being considerate and not trying to clip FL wings .

loved their mature relationship and the trust they had for each other.

I really wished for a happy ending but the ending they gave us was so bitter yet justified they fought for peace and died for it , what other greater cause could they have died for ?
but I am devastated 😩💔

either way this is a masterpiece and deserves to give it a go .

A remarkable turnaround ...

so I have watched couple of episodes from the animated series and wished they will do a live action version , yet when i watched the first episodes I couldn't bring myself to keep watching , still I gave it a chance and glad I did .

In the beginning you think it is gonna be a bunch of funny scenes without an actual plot but it get a great turnaround after xu yao's death, you begin to see that isn't gonna be as written in the book and as yu wayin predictions.

this was great on so many levels music , costumes , acting yet I can't tell if the actor who did prince duan did a great job or not like he is a villian to forget , not a strong antagonist for me , he did some bad deeds but the whole series he was only plotting and whenever he tried to carry out his plan it failed and it wasn't even due to wanyin's knowledge of the book because everything deviated from the book , it was like Dan was always one step ahead , yet actor did a really go job in making me hate his character .

xie yong er 's death was so rushed like she dead and they gave her a 2 or 3 minutes and that is it and it wasn't mentioned again except briefly , I wished she and cuihua would have met in the real world .

I hoped they would give zhang san and cuihua more screen time when they returned to the real world.

empress dowager kept saying she hated Dan's father , we later found she was from Qiang, wished we got more background on that like how she ended in Xia was a marriage alliance , a hostage ??

when it came to dramatic scenes this series delivered , was it perfect NO but nonetheless it was great and deserves to give it a go.

started strong ,ended somewhat disappointing

from the get go like 1st 2 episodes you get a little bit drawn to keep watching then from ep 3 to ep 14 it kept going strong and we kept looking forward to the ending but I think ep 15 and 16 (especially 16 ) ruined it all for me I mean where do I start

first yeom jang sun I think it was somewhat a fitting ending for him , all he care about is money and power and In the end he lost both.

dongju really deserved to be happy after all he went through , yet after fulfilling his revenge he didn't have his happy ending , he left it all behind .

taeyun's mother deserved what happened I mean after all she caused , she lost it all

taeyun didn't deserve this ending , he and eunnam were the innocent ones in that family .

seonu and his mother one of the worst character developments I have ever seen in along time I, how did they change from the staying away from daesan and not wanting any thing to do with it to cooperating with yeom jang sun and killing taeyun .

a very disappointing ending 😔 the title truly fits "buried hearts".

Not as good as first season ....

this season definitely is not as good as season 1 , the plot for me doesn't make much sense , I get that they were running an illegal site and will do anything for views and money but them insisting on geon u fighting despite him refusing multiple times and even going as far as trying to kidnap and finally kidnapping his mother , not to mention killing police officers and bombing a building with police officer inside was way too extreme to convince him to fight , I mean they made the previous champion fight and still they made a lot of money out of it , couldn't they have found someone else , I don't know the plot didn't seem that strong for me .

this season was very fast paced than season 1 , the first season we got some character development we watched them getting defeated and not giving up , this season i guess there wasn't much time " i mean it's just 7 episodes ".

the fight scenes were great , first time seeing rain as the antagonist yet it was great .

maybe you'll enjoy watching its fighting scenes , but don't expect it to make much sense .

Heartwarming , funny but a bit lacking...

a strong start that became flat till the end
in the first 2 episodes we see tae pong the playboy who is all about partying and wearing fashionable expensive clothes, however he has his own project which he wants to show his father to make him proud , yet he never get the chance as his father dies .

so here what went wrong for me
*The protagonist hyun jun and his father Mr pyo were way too weak for me hyun jun was just the spoiled brat who wanted his father's recognition, maybe Mr pyo was a stronger protagonist but didn't get enough screen time for some reason .

*The whole series we kept going in circles , It was a loop of tae poong making a deal and hyun jun sabotaging it then tae poong begging or making a deal with hyun jun father it kept repeating again and again till it became annoying .

the plot was rushed at many points in the series , even the romance wasn't focused on , it didn't focus on anything actually.

this drama is a perfect example of you reap what you sow , everyone got the ending they deserve for what they have done except that masked guy.

kim guy ho deserve death penalty for what he has done , he didn't deserve to be protected by the police and innocent people got injuired or killed trying to protect him till the very end he remained ruthless and a monster , I can't believe that he did that to the detectives daughter while he was supposedly on the run doesn't make sense to me .

the greedy opportunistic lawyer got what he deserved , the assassin aka Mr smile , I don't get how he is still alive after all those bullets 😅 .

this drama should have focused on the main plot line involving that lawyer and politics in this drama was unessecary , they have showed as more of the fake priests story , who was the man in the mask? i guess the fake priest but not sure' , the should have showed us how he got all that money for the bounties , where did he go after all of what happened ? and who was the client that hired Mr smile to kill the man in the mask ? alor of unanswered questions , I don't if this is getting a second or not so it is open ending it guess .

great plot with alot of potential that was somewhat poorly executed in ep 3 I really thought I was watching a different drama , not starting from where we left off in the previous episodes and showing entirely new character was a bit confusing at sometimes.
