Not disappointed at all: taxi driver ss3 deserves it all

Definitely IN LOVE with this season. The easy portrayal that the actors has given us throughout the whole series is just 10/10. Did have, kinda, not high expectations due to normally the series who have many seasons end up getting just bad and hard to watch, but this series (all three season) didn't disappoint me at all and will rewatch all three seasons soon with my boyfriend (have to educate him lol)! I felt so much throughout the whole series, just as if it happened to me, and enjoyed more than anything the creative ways to get revenge lol, was excited to see new episodes every single time I finished one. Definitely a watch in my opinion and totally time worthy! :)

IS MESSING UP THE FINAL EPISODE A TREND?

This is the third sequel, and it's still has the same quality with the previous one. Each individual cases are so good, some of them are impressive. This show doesn't have the big case that connects each individual cases and I think it's good since that type of case usually draggy.

We don't need to talk about the cast anymore. The chemistry between the Rainbow Taxi team is just getting better and better. Jang Sung Chul has more involvement to the story this season. They don't potray An Go Eun as a nerd with supercomputer skill anymore which is good and more realistic. Kim Do Gi is more brutal this season, which also good because as a fighter I think he was too soft in the previous season. The writer also decided to remove the romance at all this season. In overall it's a journey between ups and downs, UNTIL YOU WATCH THE FINAL EPISODE.

While the individual cases are good, there are several flaws in this show. They're even more noticeable compared to the previous one. The beginning of this show is quite shocking. It has no introduction. It starts with a case, not even from the introduction of a case but from the middle that it looks like this show is S2E17 instead of S3E1. They didn't even try to build a connection between season 2 and 3, although they set each season in a different timeframe (the deluxe taxi and other taxis changed). This causes a bit unconfortability and confusion during watching. Also I don't like the fact that the cases come to the team out of nowhere consecutively, not from the call. It's not like they want a revenge, but the Rainbow Taxi is making them to take a revenge. Several things which disturbing me for each case: On Ro Mi case, they suddenly forget about her manager which Do Gi crashes out with taxi; it doesn't like he gets what he deserves. On the Samheung Island case, they're firing a shotgun too much consecutively without reloading. This case also has too much plot armor, they don't have a good preparation before going to the island but they survived. As for the final episode, I lost words. What possibly hit the writer's head, or is he joining the trend of messing up the final episode? That final case resolution is underwhelming and quite... makjang? Why does he take a bullet? He has never done it and always has another way around!

This season is a combination of upgrade and downgrade. Several cases has better storyline, but I think they put too much plot armors this time. Still it's a good show, they even have a soundtrack this time. It's also good for rewatch as it doesn't have a big connecting case, so you can do "small watch-ing" case by case.

PS: They should sell that Elements lightstick as merchandise!

Love this drama

The acting within acting from Driver Kim is amazing. The husky voice he always does is amazing.
Actually the whole rainbow 5 crew is amazingly talented.

The story about human trafficking is very interesting and good.
Finally a drama that mention this and how horrific this is that it exists.
Also it’s very amazing they put everything that’s related to that in this season.
The scamming, trafficking, gambling etc.

Actor Lee Je-hoon is multi talented.
This series has shown it by the multiple characters he played during undercover missions.

I miss the oldtimer taxi where the Taxi Driver series started with. The second model (s2)was alright. But the new taxi is ugly and to modern. Doesn’t fit with the vibe and music and the series.

P.s. the English speaking cops/detectives are a misfit in the first episodes. But I understood he is from HongKong.
May explain it a bit.
But it doesn’t fit in the drama and the dialect is heavy.
There were moments they spoke Japanese and joked “so you do speak Japanese?!”😅

The ending was nerve wracking and the fight got me hooked to the screen.
It played with my heartstrings.

It’s sad to see this series come to an end.
I’ve binged it from season 1-3 by rewatching season 1-2 after each other.
Good it’s now freezing and snowing outside.
Good excuse to stay inside in the evenings and weekends.

I would definitely rewatch it, but that will be after 5 or more years.
It’s to good to not rewatch it to soon and to often. To keep the good feelings about this series.

Favourite Kdrama

Taxi Driver season 3 is literally my favourite kdrama and it’s so underrated it hurts. Istg more ppl need to know about this kdrama .Go-Eun was EVERYTHING ,seeing her give the villain a taste of his own medicine while teasing was so satisfying. Her fits are always fire too. I remember tho when Kim Do-Gi ran the guy over twice with his car in their Kpop case ,Brutal. The fight scenes are some of the best I’ve ever seen in any kdrama. Only thing is Mr Jang’s friend’s case dragged sooo much and got boring and took 4 eps. But fr, this show deserves way more hype.

Its Season 3 AND THEY ARE BACK WITH A BANG!!

Its Season 3 and Taxi Driver is still going STRONG!! Absolutely loving it!

I'm just so glad they have kept all of the original team 😊 I can't imagine Taxi Driver without them!

No clue how they packed so much into the first 2 episodes!! Japan trip, Yakuza, adultery, slavery and everything in between! They really said we're going BIG!

And omg Lee Jee Hoon in that white costume and white shoes and speaking Japanese in that deep voice! Whew!! Its getting HOT 🔥 in here!!!
Never knew the guy was fluent in English and Japanese!
I'm LOVING IT!!

Its BAAAACCCKK!!! Final Edit 1/10/26

Its pretty rare when Kdramas we really like get a second run let alone a 3rd. This is picking up where it left off. Only one in and I am absolutely loving it. His characters when going undercover have me dying in laughter. I didn't know if anything would top his country boy hick character from season 2 but I bit tongue laughing at his second persona of the episode. 😖 I think this is going to do well!!

Yeah.....this has been solid. I'd even wager it's safe to say this could merit a 4th run. It's not always about the baddies being put away or the dystopian social injustice issues they're doing their best to recompense. For me now, it's pretty much about what type of persona our guy here will adopt in taking them down. Which is why given the creativity we've seen through the entire drama run, that 4th or 5th run could actually become reality. In any case, the drama has rocked once again, if it has to end that's ok. Better to end strong.

Phenomenal drama as always. Last two episodes I was blown away because we finally got a good fat huge chunk of Driver Kim's back story as the case was directly tied to him. So yea, this could have a 4th run but this ended STRONG. Maybe it's best not to jeopardize it. But in any case, I loved it. 🥰

This season is pure MADNESS???..in the best way

Seriously, this drama is insane — even better than Season 2 🤣. As expected, Season 3 does NOT disappoint at all. Episode 1 alone already had me shocked, amazed, and totally speechless. No wonder the ratings shot up instantly… it truly deserves it.

The action is intense, the comedy is on point, and there are even touching moments that hit you out of nowhere. Lee Je Hoon is absolutely PERFECT as Kim Do Gi — he carries the character so flawlessly that I can’t imagine anyone else doing it better.

And honestly… about Keita Matsuda, the Japanese boss ...I kinda feel sorry for him 😂. He’s evil, yes, but also weirdly lonely. His chemistry with Do Gi was so good that I even imagined a plot twist where Do Gi joins forces with Keita to become villains together and quits the Rainbow Taxi team hahahaha.

Anyway, I seriously can’t wait for the next episodes. I’m confident this will be the best drama to close the year. Kudos to the entire cast and crew for delivering such an amazing masterpiece.

Le plaisir est là, l’étincelle un peu moins...

Franchement, retrouver "Taxi Driver", c’est toujours un petit plaisir 🫰🏻. Rien que la BO… j’y peux rien, c’est typiquement le genre de drama où je ne peux pas skip le générique, JAMAIS !!! 🤣. Ça te remet direct dans l’ambiance.

Lee Je-hoon, reste une valeur sûre. Son Kim Do-gi, il l’a dans la peau, y’a zéro débat là-dessus. Il est solide, charismatique, précis… bref, il porte encore très bien le drama sur ses épaules 😮‍💨🔥.

Globalement, les affaires fonctionnent. Certaines m’ont clairement plus marquée que d’autres, mais j’ai bien retrouvé ce côté justice "cathartique" qui fait l’ADN de "Taxi Driver" depuis maintenant 3 saisons. Tu regardes, tu bouillonnes, t’es en colère pour les victimes… et quand la sanction tombe, tu souffles, genre Yes !!! 😮‍💨💪🏻. Et clairement, ça marche toujours.

MAIS… parce que oui il y a un mais de mon côtés 😅, j'ai trouvé que cette saison 3 etait beaucoup trop sage dans sa construction. On sent que la recette est ultra rodée, même recyclée. Ça fonctionne, oui, mais ça m'a aussi beaucoup moins surpris... J’ai vraiment eu ce sentiment de réchauffé, comme s’ils continuaient surtout à surfer sur la hype des saisons précédentes.

Il y a quand même un vrai virage plus sombre. Les vengeances vont plus loin, parfois jusqu’à la mort, et là-dessus… j’ai un avis un peu mitigé 🤔. Attention, ça ne m’a pas choquée ni sortie du drama, ça reste cohérent avec l’univers, mais dans les saisons précédentes, j’aimais justement cette limite morale, cette impression que la vengeance restait “contrôlée”. Ici, c’est plus radical, plus obscur, et même si je comprends le choix, cet équilibre-là m’a manqué.

L’équipe reste attachante, mais j’ai trouvé que les personnages stagnaient... Peu d’évolution personnelle, j'ai aussi trouvé que certains membres étaient clairement en retrait, et ça m’a frustrée."Taxi Driver", je l’aime surtout quand ça fonctionne comme un vrai collectif (la RainbowTeam🌈), pas juste comme “Kim Do-gi et les autres”. Je dois avouer que là-dessus, cette saison m’a un peu laissée sur le bord de la route 😕.

La fin laisse clairement entendre qu’une saison 4 arrive… et honnêtement, je pense qu’ils tirent peut-être un peu trop sur la corde. Ça reste une saison sympa, je ne me suis pas ennuyée, mais pour moi elle est clairement en dessous des deux premières... Moins marquante, moins percutante, moins mémorable.

Bref, "Taxi Driver 3", fait le job, mais ça manque de prise de risque et de renouveau. Évidemment ça reste un avsi perso … mais mon cœur reste clairement du côté des premières saisons 🥲✌🏻
