I am a fan of Zhang Yuxi after watching her performance in Guess Who I Am. I was also curious about Liu Xue Yi, who is currently starring in Kill Me, Love Me so I decided to watch this series. After completing this series, I noticed that all leading female characters (Xu Qing You, Fang Qi, Lin Si Yu) had experienced broken stilettos when they were with their love interests!

What I liked:
1) Romance - I really like the dynamic between Qing You and Mo Ling Ze from the start. The sexual tension was killing me especially when Fan Yun Xi was in the picture. Once Qing You & Ling Ze got together, I had butterflies whenever they kissed, held hands and were lovey dovey. They looked visually stunning together.
2) Liu Xue Yi - Oh wow, he fit this role. He gave enough intrigue and charm to his role. Damn he was really good looking playing an investor.
3) Friendship - I like the different friendships shown in this series: i) Qing You-Fang Qi, ii) Ling Ze, Li Sa, and their bandmates A Luo & Bobo.

What I disliked:
1) Tang Xi - I understand why ex partners were featured in romance story but I think this ex went too far. I disliked her for thinking that she owned Ling Ze because she thought she played a role in his successful career. Please, you might have helped at the start but success doesn't happen overnight. Ling Ze is a successful investor because he works damn hard. I also disliked exes who selfishly left their partner and returned to claim their spot without acknowledging their mistake.
2) Mr Xu - Gosh I dislike him at the start when he favoured his former student/Qing You's then boyfriend over his own daughter. He should respect Qing You's decision and give her time to open up.
3) Secondary romance - I found the romance between Fang Qi and Xu Wei hardly convincing. i) Fang Qi was less invested in the emotional aspects of their romantic relationship. I hate it that she was implying the relationship wasn't serious when confronted by Xu Wei's parents. ii) Xu Wei is lacking life experience to be with a woman 8 years older than him.
4) Pacing - Towards the last quarter of the series, I felt bored but I kept going because I wanted to mark this series as 'Complete' as opposed to 'Dropped'.

Favourite scene
The auction engineered by Lin Si Yu but didn't work out her way. The sexual tension between Ling Ze and Qing You - wow!

Enjoyable romance without heavy drama

After watching over 100 Asian dramas in the past year, this one was very enjoyable and something I will put on my re-watch list. Although somewhat predictable in certain aspects, my favorite part was watching the main couple evolve and get closer thru the series. Their relationship was tested many times but not with the drama you see in some shows where couples are torn apart repeatedly and get back together. This couple worked thru the challenges each one strengthening their bond. It’s rare to see a show represent a couple that has faith in each other, communicates fairly well with each other and faces obstacles together. Too often it’s the opposite, I’m impressed with the writing team for this approach and wish more writers would use this style. A strong couple can endure many things and life is heavy enough who wants to watch all the misery some shows put couples through.

From a romance perspective it sometimes seemed as though the second couple had more kissing scenes than the leads but the leads did have many touching scenes. I would’ve like to see his male employee and the girl that initially had a crush on the lead have a more evolved romance, but they kept the storyline focus from being too wide spread which was good.

I enjoyed the music and some of the scenery was very beautiful. Hats off to the writing team and cast for a job well done. I recommend this series for others to watch.

Mature love story

Long time not watch one mature love story like this. Really happy can found & watch this drama.

What I really love about this drama is how our couple, Xu Qing You (QY) & Mo Ling Ze (LZ) handle jealousy problem. They didn't do emotional outbursts or childish act, just a little sulking that a little bit cute... & I also really love how easy they apologize if they have done something wrong to other person, no need to wait for the man to apologize first or give action.

I also really love how the relationship between Fang Qi (FQ) & Xu Wei (XW) develop. It's really not easy to break through brother - sister relationship between them. But of course a little attentive and sincerity never useless. And I also really love how XW really respected FQ as a human being, not only as a woman. His word that express FQ should become herself no need to pretend, even for the sake of his friend, is really something that we must give big applause.

With all the positive side of this drama, I still think this drama have something that not complete yet. I really want to know the relationship between QY & his dad. His story ended only with his mom suicide, what happen with his dad...? Why did he go to prison? What was his mistake...? Is his dad still alive...? See... so many question that have no answer....

Overall this one mature drama that you can't miss...

Good but should be 24 episodes

I watched this for LXY because I really needed to see him as the ML that gets the girl. He absolutely did not let me down! I have only seen him in costume dramas before this so seeing him in suits was a treat.

ZYX had her best modern setting performance here as a more mature career woman. Prior to this she always played sorta whiny, high maintenance, immature girls. Last time I saw her more serious was the costume drama L&R when her character had been through some rough stuff.

Story was fine but was clear it wasn't important. it was merely to get you from one couple moment to the next. I think this drama could have been shaved down to 24 episodes just to keep things moving.

Overall solid rom com.

This is a really nice drama that could’ve been great if it was not for the supporting actors getting too much screen time building their relationships which interrupted the flow of the main leads relationship. The story is nice and the leading couple has very good chemistry; their love is steadfast and their looking out for their wellbeing. Although some of the supporting cast’s acting was not so great, the leading couple did a great job bringing their characters to life. The drama drags with the supporting cast’s storylines and the company’s problems but everything resolves quickly. Overall, the drama is not the best, but it is entertaining.

You will be abused if you love too much

The girl was cheated by her boyfriend, but because they had been dating for 10 years, she did not break up. FL loved her boyfriend so much that bf took advantage. Then ML will come. FL will be snatched from her boyfriend. Their relationship is strong, even with a nasty ex-girlfriend who is causing trouble. but the last few episodes are disappointing, ML is also a red flag... he's letting FL get hurt because of misunderstandings, and he can explain right away. Also, the girl proposed and then he rejected and left her just because he was shocked. like what? The girl was embarrassed in front of their friends. They have a strong relationship because FL loves differently, no wonder her ex-bf dared to cheat on her. In real life, it's not likely to happen again.

Aside from their love story, there are 2 other love stories involved. It's really confusing who the main couple is lol

Overall, it's ok to watch while waiting for new dramas. Happy Ending but im not satisfied

An easy watch with good romance

This was overall a very easy plot to follow and the love story was sweet when the leads got together. Despite the setting of this drama taking place in a corporate world it is not at all heavy on boring mundane business talk, rather it only serves as a backdrop for the leads to get together. The FL was a bit stoic and expressionless in the beginning but she eventually warmed up as the plot developed and I ended up loving her cuteness and affection with the ML. A con is that I wish the editing included more sound effect or music during romantic scenes, sometimes I find there was a weird silence when a scene was supposed to come off emotionally charged but I was missing that sound effect to make me fully invested. Overall it was a good watch.

Good Modern Romance CDrama

Story:
-Good pacing and fun to watch how the lead characters finally get together
-Realistic with the FL's investment into the long relationship before and pressure from all sides to get back together as well as the ex boyfriends desire to get what he wants
-The theme of best friend with brother was also interesting to watch
-Liked the theme of family and support
-Liked how they showed character flaws of leads, support each other and their struggles

Acting:
- ML and FL were so good and great chemistry
-BFF, Brother, the Assistant and the Heiress were fun to watch as well
-The band members & bartender boss were favorites!

Overall:
A good watch to see what modern Chinese young adult professionals work and culturally deal with life. The fashion was fun to see as the ML and FL were both in very cool clothes. The music was good and very moody. Appreciated the genuineness of the characters. There were some parts which were a bit overdone but overall I really enjoyed it!

Tried very hard to complete, but it was impossible.

This is a hopeless show. Started off as a very promising drama. But the character of the FL, the side characters are so superficial, they add nothing to the narrative. The side characters had their own story which did not tie in with the main story at all. It was like following two standalone stories which felt very distracting.
The less said about the unemotional acting of the FL. The character was written well but failed at the shop floor. Very similar character in A Rational Life was brilliantly acted out by the actor in that show.
Only points given for the Male Lead -he was like an oasis in the desert. May he get better projects in the future.
