Perfect Chemistry
Our Skyy 2: Star in My Mind is an interesting case of the special episodes being way better than the series itself. The plot, while simple, managed to correct some of the series' mistakes. For instance, the supporting characters now have their own stories and relationships -- Typhoon got his happy ending, and the other friends had things to care about aside from Dao and Kluen's relationship.Another highlight of the episodes was the important message about jealousy. In many BL series, jealousy is presented as hot, but it is not -- being jealous of your partner means that you are insecure in your relationship with them. It was so great to see Dao underscore this.
Most importantly, Joong and Dunk have more chemistry than a Chemistry textbook. If in Star in My Mind they had good chemistry, here it is through the roof. They are one of the few on-screen pairings -- not only in BL, but in movies and series in general -- whose characters I can genuinely believe love each other, are in a relationship, and have slept together.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by these two episodes. Even those of you who did not enjoy the series much might like them.

I can die in peace now
The ending scene, its very well done. How simple yet detailed the storyline is, especially how they tie everything together and wrap it really nicely. The kind of ending that goes "if there is no more series after this", i can die in peace lolBut, before I start...I wanna set the premise
This is a special 2 hour episode filled with fluffy sweet lovey dovey scenes. It's more like a "fan service" .
So, if you're looking for major plot twists or sth new, then don't watch it, only to write bad review on it
If you love the couple, like I do (Kluen Dao is my favorite My Skyy 2 couple), then watch this to relive and celebrate their love and romance.
I also love how Kluen sets a new standard for bf! I love how he includes Dao in his plans, implying he already includes Dao as his future partner. It's the sweetest thing a bf can do for you.
Bonus point? Kluen's visual alone is equal to 10 guys or more!
Overall, I was smiling ear to ear with frequent LOL moments throughout the 2 hours. It's a great "feel good" hormone being released. I am a happy me now!

Madly in love
This Kluen and Dao story was such a warm, lovely one. I was smiling throughout the end. Kluen is such a flirt, and Daonuea is cute and funny. Maithee and Sean got pranked by Kluen and Nuea. Typhoon got an admirer, and I am really happy for him. Northern star found the sea waves. Kluean and Dao came a long way together and were madly in love. Joong and Dunk did justice to their respective characters. Ne and Sean were cute and funny. Maithee was awesome. Kluen finally got his morning star for himself. Was this review helpful to you?

Just thinking about getting jealous already means I'm not trusting you, right?
This really feels like two episodes of fluff. And I am not complaining. Even their special episode was pretty much all fluff. But it suits Kluen and Dao, the two are permanently stuck in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. At least it seems so.I do admit that I got a lot of Sarawat and Tine vibes from Kluen and Dao. Especially when Kluen introduces himself as Dao’s boyfriend, making the other boy flustered. Or when they are washing their faces in the bathroom and end up pressing their cheeks together. Some might find that annoying, but I found it cute. We all know that GMMTV often squeezes in little references and nods to their other series like that.
Another thing that I absolutely love about their relationship is how they handle jealousy. When you trust someone completely and you know they only have eyes for you, there is absolutely no reason to feel jealous when they are talking with someone else. We are not talking about flirting here, just having a simple conversation with someone.
I feel like we are getting spoiled by new side couples in Our Skyy 2. To be honest, I am really happy that Typhoon is one of the characters that gets someone. He is a very lovely person who cares a lot about those around him, so it’s only fair that he gets his own special person. I am not sure how I feel about the other new pairing. I love the two actors together (who doesn’t?) but I really imagined a different pairing. I also think that not pairing them together would make more sense story-wise.
I like that the overall vibe of the series, the colors, the setting, etc. were kept the same. It really makes it feel like a continuation of the main series. I feel like this is even more obvious if we compare the Star in My Heart episodes to the Never Let Me Go episodes. They are very different from one another, yet so true to the original series.

Although this doesn't seem like it has much going on besides Kluen and Dao being cute and loving each other, it surprisingly delivers some good lines that I never found in other BL. I also likes them just being lovely with each other since after they get together, their relationships looks very healthy. This is further proved by Dao trusting Kluen even when teased by his friend (and good that he returns it to them by way of acting jealous). The surprise at the end also makes me very giddy!Overall it's good for binge watch especially when you're feeling down and need extra sugar to boost your mood.

A Surprising Star
Between Star in My Mind and Sky in Your Heart, I much preferred Sky in Your Heart. Star in My Mind had some decent moments, but I wasn't overly fond of Daonuea or Khabkluen or their story. It leaned more towards the typical college romance showcased in BLs and I preferred the maturity of Sky in Your Heart. So going into watching these two episodes, I didn't have high expectations. I figured I would watch it for the sake of saying that I'd seen it and be done with it. Imagine my surprise when I found that I actually overall enjoyed these episodes and found them equal parts funny and endearing. These two episodes are essentially just fluff without a whole lot of substance. Nothing dramatic happens, it's basically just Khabkluen and Daonuea being in love and telling each other how much they love the other. It's sweet. I liked that what was showcased was a healthy relationship. They communicate with each other. Daonuea has no qualms about bringing up the jealousy matter and Khabkluen clearly appreciates it and is happy to reiterate that there is no one else for him besides Daonuea. They are clearly very secure in their relationship and it's really nice to see that. There's also the element of consent. Khabkluen is the more vocal and demonstrative of the pair in showing his love for Daonuea. Despite the length of time they've been together, he's still very conscious of how Daonuea feels and frequently makes sure that he is okay with what is happening between them when things get romantic. It was just another aspect that was refreshing.
Their friends were entertaining. I don't always love the sidekicks in dramas, they can trend more towards annoying than funny in some cases, but I really enjoyed these guys. They were entertaining to watch with their antics and the way they teased their two friends. I also liked the way Typhoon was handled. They could have made him sad or bitter, unable to move on from Daonuea, but instead they not only showed him moving on but even revealed that he was able to be friends with Daonuea. I really appreciated that growth in his character, that he was able to be happy for Daonuea and support his relationship with Khabkluen.
The acting was okay. I don't think either Dunk or Joong are amazing actors, but I will acknowledge that they're young and have time to continue to grow and improve. I think Joong is the stronger actor of the pair and I did prefer his performance to Dunk's. That being said, they both have improved since Star in My Mind. Their chemistry together isn't bad, but leans more towards buddy than romance at times. Still, it's clear that they have a good rapport with each other which does translate to the screen, even if it's not exactly what they were going for perhaps. Pawin, Pepper, Winny and Satang again were entertaining as the friends. All four performed their parts well. I only wish we could have had Mek and Mark back again as Fah and Prince, but I knew with Mek having left GMMTV that wasn't going to happen.
These two episodes completely exceeded my expectations which, to be fair, wasn't hard since they were pretty low. Still, they made me laugh and smile and delivered some good moments. I think they demonstrated how to write a romance without the need of a lot of skinship to distract from the substandard plot or characters. Yes, there are kisses and such, but it's not sexy, it really is just romantic; a happy and healthy couple who clearly love each other and don't need to go around ripping each other's clothes off. It was a refreshing change. I would recommend these episodes as they truly tell just a feelgood story.

nothing happened but overly affectionate tall skinny men
I needed this energy. No brain power what so ever, and nothing happened besides an overly romantic couple being lovey doves while their friends vomit in the background. Satang and Winny are "together" in this time line, which is cute because I love them. The tension was crazy. I didn't expect anything from this because I usually go into special episodes expecting nothing but cuteness and joy, and I was not disappointed. It was fun and just the boost of energy I needed. I watched this our Skyy first because I haven't finished Never let me go. The average was 8.75; I rounded down because I could. It was good. The proposal was cute, and their "sex" scenes or implied sex scenes added to the tension. And yeah. Easy Watch would recommend it, especially if you have finals next week and haven't studied for any of them besides history. Anyway. Okay bye!Was this review helpful to you?

It's very cute
I didn't watch the series and I don't pretend to, because of the plot,, erhm. But I was very interested in JoongDunk so my friend said "Hey, watch their Our Skyy" and well here I am.It's so cute, so lovely, it was sooo cute, the affection :') damn we understand we are all single as fuck. They say that they love each other 10000 times. Although it's weird if you think about it, ilys it's not soo common in bls? But anyways THEY ARE CUTE.
And yes it's like a little bunch of nothing and I love yous but who cares??

a fluffy follow up
Overall: if you are looking for a fluffy slice of life special episode/s then look no further. Aired on GMMTVs YouTube channel. What I Liked
- sweet moments
- flipped a common trope around
- great communication, character growth from their series
- (neutral) there was lip movement with kissing but it didn't rise to the level of excellent kissing
Room For Improvement
- oddly reluctant PDA/physical affection for an established couple, also unrealistic that was their first time in a year?!?
- could have had more plot for side characters
Was this review helpful to you?

- Did it add anything to the original series
- Was there either an absence, advance, or regression of character/couple development
- Was the story concept interesting
- Script quality
This had a cute storyline (like the main series), but it’s basically two episodes full of nothing. Yes, it was sweet and fluffy but it doesn’t add that much to the main storyline. I had trouble getting into it because of some weird/poor direction choices. There were some parts that had long and awkward pauses between the actors’ lines and actions. I think the actors did a good job but may not seem it due to this. The end was also cute but does not lead to much character/couple development. It also had a very boring side story that was not needed. The background music choices were great and it had good cinematograph.

Disappointed
First, Joongdunk is one of my most favorite BL couples. They are both very handsome and talented. But the story was so bad that even they couldn’t save it. I will say that GMM always shoots in beautiful locations and has high quality visuals. But, at times, I was embarrassed for the actors because it was so awkward. There was no substantial story and the dialogue was just cheesy. And not in a good way. This seemed so forced like the writers just wrote something quick so they could be included in this series. It wasn’t fair to the whole cast. Thankfully, they have Hidden Agenda coming up and it looks promising. Was this review helpful to you?
