No, just no

I was really enjoying this show so far, but the way episode 2 handled domestic abuse was just absolutely horrendous. There is no „oooh I‘m sorry I beat you before, now that you sacred me half to death I will be a better man“, just no. We don’t go around victim blaming and having the VICTIM say sorry to the abusive husband! I don’t care if she was possessed and wanted to hurt him, she should never ever be made to apologise to him. And Khem had this whole speech earlier in the episode about domestic abuse, just to throw it out the window later on. He went from „You need to do something about domestic abuse“ to „oooh look they REKINDLED their love“ real fast. There is no rekindling love in an abusive household, the best thing you can do is escape. I know Khem is supposed to be this innocent cutie who believes in the good of people, but an abusive marriage is the wrong place to make that point. You already established that side of him by having him be a complete fool for the whole of the first episode, you don’t need to make that point again, especially not at the cost of dragging women who experienced domestic abuse through the dirt.

Absolute cinema

Im seeing a lot of discourse online about how there is no romance yet, and its quite upsetting. Theres an actual plotline thats being followed in khemjira, we're only on episode two out of 12. I for one quite enjoy the pace in which this show is moving at. It leaves you with questions after every episode, giving you that thrill and overlapping thought of what if, how, and why. everyone is left with unanswered questions which will surely be covered in upcoming episodes. i think thats the thrill in it, wanting the answers. but to mention the lack of chemistry this early on is absurd. i have yet to see the acting in full blossom, but nonetheless this show is spectacular. its refreshing from the same old overplayed bl storylines that we get, and i admire that. i truly believe that khemjira is one of the best bls in 2025. i am highly anticipating the upcoming episodes. I am beyond overjoyed everytime i finish an episode, its what i look forward to every week.

a serious tone

I love that we get the chance to puzzle together what caused the bad karma for Khems family with the little info we got so far.I am still a little torn about the DV plotline. I like horror but when it comes to real life horror I don’t see any entertainment value. And here it was idk. There would‘ve been other options to show how the villagers get possessed.

So many questions left...

This episode we got a very few questions answered, which was nice, though in a way I got more questions now than I did before, hopefully they all get answered in the up coming episodes.

I don't get why Peem was letting Worn be possessed. You know someone is, so why not do something about it, you tell Khem that it's your duty to protect the villagers, yet you let one stay possessed, how dose that made any sense?

I didn't like how they played the whole beating of a wife to being nothing if it's not your business. So what if it's not, beating your wife or husband is not right at all and should be delt with if you know about it... Other than that I don't have any negative thing to say. Can't wait till the next episode!

Merciless drag - and still no BL

Poorly paced and weirdly scripted, ep. 2 was a whopping 77 minutes long - with content only for about 45 minutes. In all that time there was one, very brief moment where the story was vaguely hinting at the support couple - that's all. Keng's stunning looks are an asset of the show, but when he opens his mouth - the spell is broken; Namping is sort of there, but his "damsel in distress" portrayal is hard to watch. However, not all hope is lost: First did a good job in both ep. 1 and 2; right now I'm watching this show because of him.

Poorly passed. Abuse victim being told to…

Poorly passed. Abuse victim being told to "handle her own issues herself" and then apologizing to her abuser ? Even through she was the one possessed?(Also people telling to khemjira to not get involved because it's another family business?)The "master" is still annoying and condescending. (Power trip ? Idk) The story could have been great but this master character is getting on my nerves but I do hope for a evolution.

I'm so into it!

The second episode shows Pharan's powers and how deep the curse of Khemjira is. I loved the references to the past and the flashback about the past lives of the two main characters. Give me more, please!
