Very Good Miniseries
This series is a period piece but does not disappoint. There is definite mystery, crime, corruption and tension. The ML is not only good looking but embodies the character completely. The chemistry between the leads is interesting however not the main focus. The twists within the series don't seem too far-fetched and are executed well by the supporting cast. FL was well played as she had a naive outlook yet a quick wit that carried her beyond the norm. The villains within the series were interesting yet at times over the top. Overall, this is worth the watch! Was this review helpful to you?

I shake my head and roll my eyes throughout the drama - Messy and Too much going on
If this were a full-length drama, I would have given this a less than 5 rating. I am going to be a little more forgiving as this is a low budget drama. But this drama still cannot be compared to another web drama, “Provoke”. “Provoke” is so much better. The plot here is ridiculous and full of plot holes and unrealistic ‘twists’. They try to jam too many things into this short drama. I think a fake/contract marriage + enemies-to-lovers + revenge should be more than enough. But no, they added politics. The acting is decent, and the leads are a good-looking pair. The chemistry is pretty good in the beginning but the leads got together way too early and then the chemistry is gone. We do have a couple (not enough) shirtless hot abs scenes, but not passionate or good kisses (FL needs to work harder). The cinematography and production value aren’t that great, more on par with “Maid’s Revenge”. I am blinded by the super bright/white backlighting and camera flashes.
I can’t help but shake my head and roll my eyes when watching this. The good-looking male lead and the pretty female lead are not enough for me to recommend this drama. I have to force myself to finish watching. I enjoy watching this LESS than “Maid’s Revenge”, even though it’s about the same quality. So, I feel I need to rate “My Everlasting Bride” a 6.5 and not a 7.0.

The match made in Heaven !
This drama wasn't about close family relationships, it was the other way around.
The chemistry of the main leads was out of this world, they’re really made for each other ❤️🔥
I especially love the way they looked at each other passionately 😍😍😍.
The last episodes were a little weaker than the first ones, but overall I was, still enjoying it . I usually don't watch these types of dramas because they all end in disaster, but I had a feeling this one would be different and I wasn't wrong!
For a mini drama it is very well done.
and was a good watch for me ❣️
For me it was 8,5/ 10❤️🔥 but I’m going to give it 10/10 because it doesn’t deserve this low rating and such a perfect chémistry is rare.

Exciting turns to boring but beautiful
Well this was an interesting experience. This short drama was beautifully crafted, acted and produced. It was a pleasurable watch. The story revolves around two antagonists: Nie Zhe the son of the most powerful man in the county and Xiaodie, a maid. When her mistress dies after being assaulted, Xiaodie decides to avenge her death. She takes her place and introduces herself into Nie Zhe's house. Immediately the sparks fly and they clash until they do not anymore. That is the moment that Die's mistress chooses to reappear after being brainwashed by the neighbouring county's spy.
The drama has an amazing first third: enemies to lovers trope is my favourite. Watching the main couple spar, bicker and fall in love, chemistry lighting up the scene like fireworks, was perfect. Smart female lead and tsundere male lead were just a joy to watch. And there were some hot scenes, let me tell you! Barechested Nie Zhe is worth the watch. I am shallow, sue me! LOL
Until they became a boring couple in love. Love in dramas really means death to brain cells. So they are in love and keep wanting to die for each other when facing the bad guys! But, fortunately, heavens protect people in love from their own stupidity, it seems here!
The rest of the drama is quite boring frankly! Being held hostage, poisoned, threatened, held at gunpoint, faked death etc. etc. you think of it, they did it! Spies, crazy doctors and revenge of revenge of revenge or whatever was boring and annoying.
The actors did a wonderful job, they were perfect for these roles. The cinematography was stunning and the sequences filming details (flying pen, sloshing drink, breaking glass, falling petals...) were a feast for eyes! And songs were amazing: they gave the drama this century ago feeling,
It could have been a perfect drama had not the second part got lost in the ridiculous spy story. Bi=ut it is still worth the watch: if only for the main leads. They were extraordinary!

Son's fiance to father's concubine #5
So, I started watching this drama, and for the first few episodes, it had potential—contract marriage, slow-burn romance, soft ML chasing FL. I was intrigued. But then, out of nowhere, the script took a nosedive off a cliff, and instead of soaring, it belly-flopped straight into chaos. The Good:
1. The Cast: FL was okay—not drop-dead gorgeous, but acted decently. ML (Cavan) actually looked like a marshal and acted fine too. But seriously, dude, fire your script selector. You deserve better.
2. That’s it. That’s the list.
The Bad:
1. Up to episode 5-6, things were fine, but then the writer’s creativity had an asthma attack and tragically passed away. RIP.
2. Concubine #5: Look, I felt bad for her in the beginning. But then she turned into some sort of discount villain mastermind. In under 24 hours, she took over the entire family, and within a month, she had drugged the daughter-in-law, poisoned the son, killed another concubine, and paralyzed the grand marshal. And yet… no one reported her? Not even the army? A woman who showed up last month is now commanding troops while the actual general is missing? The army just went, “Oh well, she seems trustworthy.” Really? The military worldwide is collectively rolling in their graves.
3. Background music sucks ..may be one of worst I ever come across
Now the biggest question?? If you should watch it or not ...
I am leaving it to your own judgement as for me i regret wasting my time on this I even dropped it before third last episode ( predictable much)

Stumble upon this from my YouTube feed. So I just jump to it...The story is about Hu Die (HD), a maid in the Shen family. The Shen family’s daughter, Qing Xia (QX), was planning to escape from an arranged marriage to the Nie family. By coincidence, HD meets Nie Zhen (NZ), though neither of them knows the other’s identity at the time. When HD returns home, she receives devastating news — QX has committed suicide after being raped, unable to bear the shame.
So, to uncover the truth behind QX’s death, HD decides to impersonate QX and go to the Nie family as the bride. She never expected, however, that her groom would be none other than NZ — and NZ is also surprise to see HD as his bride. But unfortunately for HD, NZ actually knows her true identity from the start but chooses to remain silent and go along with her plan. And so begins their game of pretending... and plotting.
HD starts investigating inside the Nie household, searching for clues about QX’s case. But as she digs deeper, her feelings for NZ begin to grow — especially after she learns that NZ truly fell for her the moment they first met. When HD eventually uncovers evidence linking NZ to QX's death, she finds herself conflicted and torn between her emotions and her quest for the truth.
Eventually, NZ proves he wasn’t responsible for QX’s fate, and from that point on, their relationship starts to blossom. Just when things start looking beautiful… QX suddenly reappears, alive in front of HD. QX reappearance brings a whole new level of chaos to the story.
Turns out, someone saved QX and fed her completely false information about HD and NZ. And being the naive girl that she is, QX believes everything without question.
So, how does the tangled relationship between HD, NZ, and QX end? And what’s the real motive of the person who manipulated QX?
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. For short drama this still included in the good one. This has clear plot (begin, middle and end), good acting, good ost, no annoying BGM.
It just such unfortunate the plot kinda messy. I can spot the plot even before they start plotting. Haha... And sometimes the logic isn't there. And really unfortunate the more toward the ending the messier they are. I did plan to give this higher score, but after watching till the last ep, they really don't give me much choice... I really hope they give more ep to make it less messy than this one
So, even for short drama this still included in the good one. But the messy plot really make me can't give this higher rating. Do I still think this worth watching...? Oh yeah.... For short drama, this still worth watching in my book.

Not Bad
Five minute of episode ,so this irritates . story was good but still there were some flaws in the drama . One of the flaw may be the last few episodes were not properly synchronised or I can say not properly scriptedStarting was good ,hatred story was also good and acting too .
But the story was not systematic . Though happy ending but I am not happy with the ending .
About recommendation if you have nothing to watch you can go for it.
I don't have much to say about the drama but inorder to complete the review in five hundred words so I am writing this nonsense.

Good chemistry, coherent plot, enjoyable mini drama
This mini drama is the second drama that I watched starring Ke Ying (A Familiar Stranger) & Cavan Wen (Playing House). I enjoyed this drama! What I liked:
1) Writing - I find the plot coherent for a mini drama. Out of the republican era mini dramas that I have watched (Maid's Revenge, The Revenge of Begonia), this one is the best. I like that male lead discovered secret identity early on.
2) Female lead characterisation - She is smart throughout the series. I like that she realised her mistake and talked about it with the male lead. Ke Ying played her role well.
3) Male lead characterisation - He is smart and caring. Cavan Wen played this role well too. He portrayed different emotions from assertiveness to compassion and happiness.
4) Romance - I enjoy the progress from strangers to allies and lovers. I love it when male lead flirted with and smiled at female lead.
5) Supporting cast - This mini drama is one of the few dramas that we're good at fleshing out side characters. Almost every side characters (except the fourth mistress) had significant role in this drama.
6) I also like framing of certain scenes.
7) Good ending
What I disliked:
1) Fourth mistress was insignificant character. I think no need for her to appear.
2) I feel like one of the songs had off tune singing. The song that was played when male lead & female lead kissed while seated in a room with open windows.
Favourite scene
The confrontation between male and female leads about Qing Xia's tragedy. Nie Zhen felt the pain & hurt suffered by his wife.
