+ leads are childhood sweethearts who promised to marry (or eloped in SL)
+ they are separated and ML goes off to war for many years
+ ML returns after military success
+ by the time ML returns, FL is married to someone else in his family and has a son
+ ML actively tries to steal FL while she's still married
+ there are scenes of ML getting spicy with FL while her husband is nearby
+ FL denies ML and repeatedly rejects & hurts him
+ very aggressive, domineering ML, assault warning for both dramas

The list goes on but I won't spoil beyond this. If you liked one, you are bound to like the other.

Ta Cong Ye Se Shen Chu Lai feels like someone made a fanfic version of A Tale of Love and Loyalty because they wanted the novel HE instead of the drama BE.

Both ML are members of royal family and finding their lover.
Both have complicated love relationship.

Both dramas revolve around revenge. In addition, the feeling of love and hate envelops the atmosphere of the drama where the ML is very commanding towards the LF.

They are both versions of the story of love between a princess/consort to the emperor, and the southern prince (Xiao NanChuan Wang).

A Tale of Love and Loyalty is 10-minute episodes adapted from Zhou Fu Yao's novel.
One and Only is 45 minute episodes adapted from MoBao FeiBao's novel.

the romance of both shows seems very familiar and they both involve time travel of some sort.

Sorry, it's not an actual recommendation. I just needed to say that Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is an awesome story, but it was very poorly adapted. Believe me that you'll find peace, healing, angst, love, friendship and happiness while reading the novel or the manhwa version. Give it a chance! <3

Anothe mini drama. The same type of dark romance, with the Male Lead taking revenge on the Female Lead even if they were previously in love. The cast performance is also very good.

Madness, power-drunk characters, intrigues, a dangerous palace. The ML embodies both despicable and crazy behavior like the crown prince in Dawn is Breaking, and faithful care for the FL, like Na Mianci in the new drama.
Both minidramas are riveting and feature Richard Li at his best as actor, paired with a talented young actress (Ming Jiajia) in A Tale of Love and Loyalty, who showed her mettle as support in The Double, while He Xuanlin showed hers in The Starry Love as SFL.

Both are historical mini dramas in which the leads were in love but something happened, causing them to part and the FL to marry a relative of the ML. When they reunite, the MLs seem harsh toward the FL but are actually still in love with her.
