THIS IS BACK TO 2017 DRAMA
Usually I'm not much interested in r rated drama that's why I started this one and it's cute and funny a whole rom-com vibes the story writing is done perfectly someone who loves the male lead I'm so happy seeing him in more dramas and the female lead absolutely carried the show ‼️‼️💓 the second lead is perfectly played and I kinda love how the story was not dragged much 🫶Was this review helpful to you?
Fun
Leuke serie om te kijken. Beetje slap stick achtig.Het verhaal is een beetje simpel, maar dat vind ik wel prettig. Als je ervan houdt is het echt leuk ! Deze serie mag van mij een hogere waardering hebben.
My Sweet mobster is ook leuk.
Ben je opzoek naar een k drama maatje?
Ik houd me aanbevolen

CANT GET ENOUGH OF THIS!!!
Super love this drama unexpectedly, can’t stop watching and really can’t wait !!Too bad the episodes are too short in my opinion. I wish they are a bit longer.
Loving Moon Cha Min character, funny and adorable, he makes my heart flutter ❤️❤️
Didn’t expect to be so in love with this drama, the story is light yet heartfelt, the true romcom!

Fast paced exciting and honest series. Definite watch !!
What I am liking about this series is that it is using cliche topic in a new , honest and fresh manner. I am just loving this concept.Plot is nice. Both leads are good.
And what I like about the ML's character is that is has showcased in new light. For example typical South Korean series has a rich and cold male lead but he is different he is not that cold. He feels relatable.
About FL's character - I love that she is honest, she is completely aware of what she wants and doesn't feel guilt about her goal. Whatever the goal is.
Yeah, these are all the reasons why I am loving this Rom com.
Just go for it already.

Cinderella love - my cute sweet catchup weekly.
Light hearted and sweet story! A little short and I hope it would be longer because I wanna enjoy the sweetness more.Production wise, love the sets even though most of the story happened in the same few sets. Shin Jae Rim's outfit towards the end was nice! Not to mention, I kinda like the butler's dress sense after work. It gave a little character to the butlers working in the Cheongdam Heaven.
Acting - there were a few stiff acting by the sides but overall the leads carried it quite well. There was a slight sense of awkwardness between the leads but I think it does add to the story quite well.
Overall, I love them!!

buena!

Had potential but poor execution
I was curious about this series because of the title and synopsis. Was looking forward to a refreshing tale of Cinderella but oh boy, what a disppointment. I got bored mid-way through the series but persisted because I want to mark this series as 'Complete',What I liked:
1) Lee Jun Young - This is the second work of his that I've watched (The Impossible Heir being the first one). Lee Jun Young did well in a role that's been assigned to him - flawed & a little eccentric but charming chaebol/CEO. He is handsome and has a nice build and height, which are important traits for a male lead.
2) Supporting characters - It's great that the stepmom and stepsisters were nice people (unlike the classic Cinderella story) and were given some backstory so their characters were not just 2D. I also like Baek Dong Ho and Youngbae though I wish writer developed a better friendship arc for Dong Ho and Jae Rim.
What I disliked:
1) Shin Jae Rim characterisation - It's hard to like her because she was ungrateful brat and shallow even till the end. I wish there was more character growth because it's frustrating that female lead was still in self-pity mode in second last episode. Gosh she should have taken the opportunity to travel to Berlin and self-discover. There were very few scenes of Jae Rim as a person, as opposed to her as a stepsis and stepdaughter, a employee, a love interest.
2) Pyo Ye Jin - She is miscast unfortunately. I expected female lead to be wholesome and charming even when being a damsel in distress (best example is Giselle of Disney's Enchanted). However Pyo Ye Jin couldn't demonstrate these traits though the seduction scenes were a nice attempt).
3) Romance - The most frustrating part in a romance story is when a couple hardly communicates. This happens in the series - there are too many mixed signals from Cha Min, it's tiring. Plus there is no chemistry between Pyo Ye Jin and Lee Jun Young.
4) Fantasy elements - I'd say the fantasy scenes put a damper in my enjoyment of the series. The seduction scenes were fine because they tell viewers that Cha Min was falling for Jae Rim. But for example the "homeless Cha Min". They feel like a filler.
Favourite scene
When Jae Rim had too much drinks and had to pee.

Cinderella, Charles Perrault 21st century version
10 episodes - Feel-good series and 2nd degree humor on the dream of the FL (Cinderella with stepmother and 1/2 sisters) of marrying a Prince Charming. For that, she will work in the Club for Elite and super rich, led by the ML (cold, with trauma... of course).+++ Lee Jun Young in ML / Lots of clichés made fun of / Manga style animation
### Permanent derision doesn't allow you to really get involved in the story.
=> Distracting, nothing more.

The show literally doesn't taking its self seriously and so shouldn't you
This was so unserious and quirky. I get that its not everyone's cup of tea, but I found the slapstick comedy refreshing after a bunch of intense dramas. I initially wanted to watch this after seeing a short clip depicting a good step-family relationship and I did adore the characters a lot. The length of the drama was perfect, the story was wholesome and the end message was cute. Overall, a fun ride. Was this review helpful to you?

Finding balance between cringe & comedy
To be honest, the last episode is so worth all the cringe comedy in the other 9 episodes. Maybe they should have focused more on the rom than com, because when the leads get together in the finale, the chemistry is on fire and they are the cutest! I was giggling and blushing the whole time, I wish we had more of that than the cringe-comedy. It wasn’t the funniest show, but it had moments of hilarity for sure, with ML’s (Junyoung’s) expressions, quick delivery and body comedy + the younger sisters also had very natural funny moments. The pace is okay, short and sweet but this also means the supporting casts are not developed at all. The reversal of the Cinderella trope with the step family could have delved deeper. Even ML’s family trauma seems so easily handled :/ (but his parents were so funny and cute with the 2 scenes they had together, wish we had more). But I did like the message of seeing oneself without the lens of hatred and becoming your own Prince Charming. So I’d still recommend it for some dumb fun (and the kiss scenes.. like wow)Was this review helpful to you?

Simple yet Charming
This was a really easy watch. I liked that the FL wasn't ashamed of wanting a glow up, and desiring to find a man to marry that would essentially elevate her to a higher class socially and economically. While most people would consider her a gold digger, the FL never portrayed herself that way. If women were not supposed to use their good looks to appease to men, then they wouldn't have been born that way, and the FL recognizes that and automatically blushes at the thought of falling head over heels in love with someone. Usually when I watch a drama, I don't really care what happens to the FL, but for the FL in this drama, I was definitely rooting for her. She deserved all the happiness that she was seeking. The theme of this drama was "Follow you Joy", and I think that she really did prove that she has what it takes to do that and much more. I especially liked the FL because usually in dramas the FL is shy and naive, almost to a default. In this drama, she is flirty and openly loves the attention she gets from love interests, which was very refreshing to see. Drama was charming, ending was rushed, but still quaint and quite nice. Baymax, I am satisfied with my service. Was this review helpful to you?
