I really hope this gets a sequel!

This was a great story that was sweet and easy to watch, very little and very mild angst. I’m glad it was just a sweet love story, exactly what is needed right now. I really hope we get a sequel with the second couple who were introduced as the focus!!! I loved the relationship we got to see between Dohyun and Dongwook, it was cute and lovely. I felt bad for Dohyun’s friend who had feelings for him, he wasn’t a villain like you would see in most BLs when there are multiple possible love interests. I was happy to see that he had a possible relationship waiting in the wings with the stranger we didn’t get to see at the end.

It gives you more than a breeze of love

It took me 3 attempts to watch this but I couldn't watch pass the first few 5 mins or 10, bcoz I find it slow and boring lol.. but, i'm glad that I never give up.

Once you watch pass the 1st 10 mins or so, it takes off really well. I love every moment of the show after that.

Short series = no drag

It's very heartwarming, sweet and medicine for your soul kind of BL

I just wish the kiss scene is more realistic lol I'm not asking for hardcore, but two lips pressing against each other is so akward to watch, esp if they slo-mo it? like what are you even slo-mo-ing?

This applies to most KBL honestly, although I wouldn't deduct any point just because of this

I can still feel the sweetness and all, so all is good, but it's just really nice to watch some realistic kiss, even if it's for a few seconds lol...

Overall, this is the kind of BL you watch when you're in need of your "feel good BL'" dose!

I loved the characters so much and the actors acting was so good as someone who has insomnia my self i connected to dongwoo easily however i still don't understand why he left do hyun in high school. Do hyun is the cutest character ever he was so shy and cute around dong wook and u can clearly see that he was deeply in love with him. Their first kiss was adorable and well done. This drama is so cute and relaxing i keep watching it nonstop however there were some things that i didnt understand like the infirmary scene and some of dong wook's actions and the last episode felt so short i wish they showed us more of their dating life

Based off my personal rating criteria specifically made for BLs

1. Characters 9/10
- I feel that for short series such as these, it is obligatory for me to acknowledge the lack of time for characterisation
+ However, I feel that this was thoroughly overcome by the amazing job they did in making every frame count. So much characterisation was achieved without dialogue that it felt like I did know the characters at the end

2. Shipability 10/10
+ I typically do not enjoy enemies to lovers but even in their initial fighting stage, the attraction and tension could be felt
+ The on-screen chemistry really felt impeccable. Every time they were together it truly felt like I was looking at 2 people in love

3. Plot 9/10
- I did not particularly enjoy the misunderstanding troupe that occurred during the dinner stage
+ I do feel that they did a fantastic job weaving in the flashbacks in a manner that gave us information when we needed it but always making us curious to know more
+ I also enjoyed how they made the idea of Dohyun being Dongwook's insomnia cure work. I feel that if they had made this a soulmate kind of scenario it would have needed a lot of explaining. The lack of explanation actually helped in moving the story along in a more natural manner.

My opinion on the BL

I did'nt have much expectations for this BL but woah. Korean BL's really never dissapoint me, especially this one. It was super cute and the actors did a good job. Everything was really good in my opinion and it has probably become my comfort BL. I definetly recommend you to watch it because the story is amazing and wouldn't get you bored, atleast I did'nt get bored. Since I have to write 500 words I'll say one thing I did'nt like. The one thing that I did'nt like is that there were only 8 episodes and I got kind of sad when it ended. It's perfect for people that love binge watching series or don't have that much time. The main thing I liked in this series must be the camera work and the scenes (And of course the story). It was beautiful how they standed in the rain and everything.
Apologies if this is a bad review because it's my first time writing a review on this app and I really enjoyed the series so I don't have anything bad to point out.

Petit coup de cœur pour cette brise légère à la saison des pluies !

A Breeze of Love me fait penser à ces histoires qui n'ont pas besoin de plus, si ce n'est être ordinaires et sincères. Et c'est sûrement pour cette raison qu'il est l'un de mes KBL favoris.

Sur le papier, l'histoire est un grand classique du genre : deux amis de lycée se séparent le cœur lourd avant de se retrouver à l'université. Cinq ans plus tard, la rancœur de l'un est tenace, tandis que l'émotion de l'autre est palpable. En réalité, on sait peu de choses sur les personnages… Do Hyun aime le basket, et ressent une profonde animosité envers Dong Wook. En retour, Dong Wook souffre d'insomnies sévères. La présence de Do Hyun est comme une pilule magique, lui permettant de profiter de vrais instants de sommeil. Et c'est tout. L'histoire ne s'attarde pas sur les détails, laissant le spectateur libre d'imaginer et d'interpréter.

Leur relation rencontre beaucoup de non-dits, mais ils communiquent. Enfin, Dong Wook communique. Do Hyun, plus pudique, écoute et agit en conséquence. J'apprécie leur dynamique, parce qu'ils sont sur un pied d'égalité, tandis que leur relation s'accorde à l'ambiance de l'histoire : douce, retenue, tendre.

L'histoire alterne entre présent et passé. On découvre comment ils sont devenus proches avant de se séparer. En réalité, mon seul regret est sur la relation qui ne prend vie qu'au dernier épisode. Si la romance (et les sentiments) est présente depuis le début, la relation se concrétise qu'au dernier épisode. On n'a pas le temps de l'apprécier, ni même de la laisser prendre sa place, que se retrouve devant le générique de fin.

Cela dit, la photographie est sublime, tandis que la pluie ravive l'ensemble. C'est regrettable d'avoir un si court format, l'histoire aurait mérité au moins un épisode supplémentaire sur l'évolution de leur relation.

En bref, A Breeze of Love est un petit coup de cœur avec son histoire ordinaire, mais honnête, qui rappelle que l'amour ce n'est pas toujours un chemin tortueux et compliqué, au contraire.

A Breeze of Love is a South Korean BL series that aired in November 2023, with 8 bite-sized episodes of about 18 minutes each. Directed by and starring Shin Jeong You as Ban Dong Wook alongside Woo Ji Han as Lee Do Hyun, the show is adapted from the Weather Forecast Love webtoon.
The series tells the story of two former high school classmates who reunite at college through the basketball team, reigniting an old flame and unresolved feelings.
The plot kicks off with Do Hyun, the captain of the basketball team, preparing for a championship. When an injured teammate needs replacing, team manager Hye In introduces Dong Wook-Do Hyun's first love. These two have history, and it's clear from their interactions that their past is filled with angst. They'd kissed back in high school before Dong Wook had to transfer schools. Now reunited, they must navigate their feelings while playing basketball together. To add a bit of fun, they make a bet: if Dong Wook wins, he joins the team. When he does, Dong Wook suggests they live together, claiming that he only sleeps well around Do Hyun. The plot focuses on their rekindled relationship, peppered with unresolved tension and tender moments.
The pacing is one of the show's biggest strengths. With only 8 episodes, there isn't room for complex plotlines, but this works in its favor. The story zeroes in on the two leads, giving them maximum screen time and development. Their chemistry is palpable, though it leans heavily on angst and the trope of someone being a "sleeping pill" for another.
While some of the drama (like the rainy sports scenes) feels a bit cliché, it's part of the charm.
The cinematography, as expected from a K-drama, is visually pleasing. The lighting, close-ups, and camera work all add to the romantic atmosphere. The leads are also a big draw-Shin Jeong You and Woo Ji Han are not only good-looking but bring a certain depth to their roles. Woo Ji Han, in particular, has a charm that's hard to resist.
What I enjoyed most about Breeze of Love was its focus on the couple. While there is a supporting cast, they never overshadow the main storyline. The show also avoids rushing through the finale, allowing the audience to fully enjoy the sweetness of the leads' relationship once they've overcome their obstacles. The final episode is a lovely wrap-up, dedicating time to their happy ending rather than squeezing it into the last few minutes, as many BLs tend to do.
If you're into BL dramas that deliver on angsty tension, intimate moments, and strong performances, Breeze of Love is definitely worth checking out. It's short and sweet, though I wouldn't have minded if it were a bit longer-maybe 10 episodes at 30 minutes each would've given it more breathing room. Still, for what it is, it's an enjoyable, feel-good series with all the aesthetics and romance you'd expect from a K-drama.

Entregou pouco

Bem, essa não é uma das minhas séries favoritas, mas também não está entre as piores.

Roteiro: o plot não faz sentido. Os dois protagonistas já se conheciam desde a escola, e voltam a se encontrar na universidade, no primeiro momento de forma pouco amistosa. Ban Dong Wook sofre de insônia crônica, e descobre que magicamente consegue dormir se estiver com Do Hyun. Eu realmente gostaria que fosse melhor explicado o motivo dessa insônia, bem como o porquê dela sumir quando está perto da pessoa amada, digo isso pq no último EP ele confessa que estava apaixonado desde a escola. A história é totalmente centrada nos dois protagonistas, não existem histórias paralelas, famílias, ex voltando do além. As únicas pessoas que tem alguma relevância são os amigos, e mesmo assim eles tem uma boa relação. Não existe um vilão, cheguei até a pensar que existiria um triângulo amoroso, mas o único conflito que vem à tona antes do final, é Do Hyun descobrir que seu amado gosta de estar com ele pq consegue dormir, e se sentir frustrado, enganado, muito embora até esse momento ele não tenha demonstrado nenhum sentimento.

Quando eles conseguiram ficar juntos, foi bom ver finalmente Do Hyun com o rosto sorridente, já que ficou inexpressivo a série inteira. Isso não comprometeu sua atuação, mas passou a imagem de alguém chato demais. Os flashbacks também apareciam do nada, e às vezes eu fiquei um pouco confusa sobre o que era presente ou passado. E minha última crítica é sobre a construção do relacionamento. Parece que o tempo de tela era muito curto, e só no último EP a história se resolve, Do Hyun passou 7 capítulos apenas tentando fugir ou ignorar Ban Dong Wook, e literalmente do nada vai de 0 a 100. Inclusive, no presente, todos os diálogos entre os protagonistas eram vagos e sem nenhum conteúdo importante, a contrução da história do amor deixou muito a desejar.

Os aspectos técnicos estão de parabéns, a ost é linda, cenografia, fotografia, tudo funciona com muita qualidade.

Enfim, não voltarei a assistir, mas gostei da série, apesar das falhas e com certeza recomendo.

Breeze of Love: romance visual, enredo em brisa!

Eu comecei A Breeze of Love com uma expectativa bem maior do que a nota que provavelmente vou dar no final. A série conseguiu me deixar curioso desde os primeiros episódios e, por algum tempo, eu realmente quis entender onde aquela história entre Dong Wook e Do Hyun iria chegar. O problema é que, conforme fui avançando, aquela expectativa foi diminuindo, e terminei a história sentindo que faltou alguma coisa para transformar todo aquele potencial em um BL realmente marcante. E olha que, se tratando da Dona Coreia, eu realmente não esperava por isso. Afinal, já estou acostumado a encontrar por lá histórias que ficam na memória ou pelo menos deixam aquele quentinho no coração.

Uma das coisas que me prendeu à série foi a curiosidade para entender o que tinha acontecido entre Dong Wook e Do Hyun, além da própria questão da insônia e da solução bastante inusitada apresentada para ela. O problema é que a história vai entregando essas respostas aos poucos, em meio a tantos flashbacks e fragmentos do passado que, para mim, acabaram mais atrapalhando do que ajudando. Em vez de aprofundar o enredo, essa escolha deixou tudo confuso e sem a coesão que a história precisava.

Outra coisa que me incomodou bastante foi a forma como os conflitos do casal foram conduzidos. Teve atitude que me deixou de cara, justificativa que não me convenceu e uma falta de diálogo que, sinceramente, testou a minha paciência. Eu entendo que os conflitos fazem parte de qualquer romance, mas aqui senti que complicaram tanto as coisas que esqueceram de desenvolver justamente o que deveria importar: a relação amorosa entre os protagonistas. E isso acabou afetando o romance como um todo. Cadê o amor, a paixão e aquela doçura que tanto adoro nos BLs coreanos? Ficaram praticamente esquecidos! No fim, situações que poderiam ter sido simples de resolver se transformaram em problemas que só me deixaram cada vez mais frustrado.

Visualmente, A Breeze of Love tem muito a oferecer. A fotografia é delicada, a iluminação valoriza cada cena e existe um lirismo em certos momentos que deixa tudo especialmente bonito. Sem falar nos protagonistas, que são lindos e já chamam a atenção por si só. Mas foi justamente aí que senti o problema: a série me conquistou muito mais pelo que eu via na tela do que pela história que estava contando. Os momentos poéticos e a beleza dos dois acabaram se destacando mais do que o próprio romance, e a falta de desenvolvimento do relacionamento fez com que a química entre eles perdesse a força para mim.

Resumindo, A Breeze of Love foi um BL apenas regular, com alguns momentos pontuais que me fizeram suspirar, mas que, no geral, acabou sendo uma história esquecível e nada marcante. Para mim, a Coreia se sustentou na poesia das cenas e na beleza dos protagonistas, mas esqueceu de desenvolver um enredo à altura. E olha que isso é atípico, porque mesmo quando as produções coreanas não contam histórias grandiosas, geralmente conseguem entregar um romance delicioso, um amor doce ou um casal que conquista a gente. Infelizmente, dessa vez foi diferente. Eu queria ter sentido essa “Brisa do Amor”, mas terminei com uma poça d’água rasa, embora bonita de se ver.

Сериал затянутый. В нём много красивых слоумо, но смотрятся они скорей как филлеры, хотя весь проект суммарно длится около двух часов. В восьмой серии намудрили: вставили флешбэк, которого раньше не было (то есть событие показывают снова, но уже с иной концовкой), а ещё зачем-то заявили развитие ветки второстепенного персонажа, которая в итоге так и осталась ничем. Создатели просто пытались забить экранное время?

Что касается самой истории, сюжет следующий: главный герой страдает от жестокой бессонницы и ведёт дневник сна (как он вообще жив, если спит от 30 минут до силы двух часов в день, да и то не всегда?). Внезапно он обнаруживает, что может спокойно спать рядом со своим одноклассником в школьной подсобке. Парни влюбляются, пугаются своих чувств, расходятся на пять лет и снова пересекаются уже в студенческие годы.

И история повторяется: они снова спят вместе (в прямом смысле — интима в сериале нет, только три невинных поцелуя), ругаются, расходятся и вновь сходятся в финале. Второй главный герой выступает эдаким «лекарством от бессонницы» и, естественно, чувствует себя, мягко говоря, использованным. Под конец мы узнаём, что первый ГГ теперь вполне способен спать и без своего «лекарства», но как именно это произошло, нам так и не объяснили. Меня жутко бесит такое обилие бесполезных красивых кадров при полном отсутствии внятной логики и раскрытия сюжета.

Визуал при этом достойный. Корейцы умеют снимать красиво, качественно и нежно — с хорошим светом, цветом и монтажом. Но проблема конкретно этого сериала — в сценарии. Налицо жирный косяк, и выше я объяснила почему.

История абсолютно проходная, не советую. Если хотите внятной корейской романтики без сюжетных дыр — лучше посмотрите The Time Of Fever (2024).
