Another One Happy News for the Day:

🏆 HISTORIC RECORD BROKEN: "Against the Current" Officially Hits 32,069 & Claims the 2026 Title!

"Against the Current" (兰香如故) shattered the 32,000 ceiling, peaking at an incredible 32,069 Heat Index on Tencent Video!

** 1. Platform & Historical Rankings:
The #1 Drama of 2026: With a peak of 32,069, it has officially secured its crown as the absolute highest-heat-index drama on Tencent Video for the entire year of 2026.

For "Against the Current" to not only beat that record but reach a peak heat index past 32,000—and do it at a faster pace—is a monumental achievement. Reaching that level puts it in a rare class of "phenomenal" mega-hits on the platform.

** 2. Television & Source Dominance:
National #1 On TV: Simultaneously broadcasting on CCTV-8, it has secured the #1 prime-time national rating in China, breaking records as the highest single-episode rating for any evening drama broadcast on CCTV-8 this year!

Source Material Boom: The incredible script, adapted from the web novel Lan Xiang Yuan by He Yan Shan, has caused the original book to skyrocket to the #1 spot on the Qiandian Reading female bestseller and search charts simultaneously!

** The Logical Takeaway:
- Unlike heavily marketed idol dramas that rely on pre-premiere fan hype, "Against the Current" achieved its glory purely through a stunning, organically driven upward trajectory fueled by viewers recognizing its masterclass script and textured characters.

- When a drama relies on pure narrative substance, authentic acting from Tan Songyun and Liu Xueyi, and a deeply moving 11-song translated soundtrack, the truth of its quality cannot be hidden.
