Lin Family Relationship Chart

Clarifying the Lin family relationship since I know the whole sister aspect and how closely they are related can be confusing:

First Generation: Grandpa Lin (Lin Zhaoxiang) and Grandma Lin (Jiang Lantian): they gave birth to 2 sons

Second Generation: Lin Changzheng (ML's father, the first son) and Lin Changmin (ML's uncle, the second son)

Third Generation: Lin Jinqi with his 3 brothers/cousins and 4 sisters/cousins

Main Family: Lin Changzheng makes up the first/main family: he has/had one wife and 3 concubines

1) Qin Shunhua ("First Madam", ML's mother): gave birth to 2 kids

-Lin Jinqi ("The first brother"): ML and legitimate son

-Lin Xiushu ("The fourth sister"): ML's full related sister, and legitimate daughter

2) Qiao Hongdou (deceased): gave birth to Lin Xiulai ("The first sister")

-ML's younger half-sister, born out of wedlock, already married off and LJQ has already mentioned her marriage was done in a rush due to the situation with Lin family back then (married to Lu Jian)

3) Zhou Guizhi: gave birth to Lin Jinlan ("The second brother")

-ML's younger half-brother, also born out of wedlock, and he was the man who was really good with poems/idioms during the banquet (married to Tan Suhua)

4) No Name (deceased): gave birth to Lin Xiuru ("The third sister")

-ML's younger half-sister, also born out of wedlock, and she seems shy on the surface

Branch Family: Lin Changmin makes up the second/branch family: he only has one wife

1) Wang Lingxiao ("Second Madam"): gave birth to 3 kids (ML's cousins)

-Lin Jinqiao ("The third brother"): actually ML's younger male cousin and he was the excited man during the banquet (married to Cheng Fengxian)

-Lin Xiuwan ("The second sister"): actually ML's younger female cousin and currently discussing marriage with the Xie family

-Lin Jincen ("The fourth brother"): actually ML's youngest cousin, and he was the young kid with the slingshot/bow who helped Lanxiang
