Intentional love

It was an amazing drama. The things he did to set her up in life was amazing. I felt he lived to love her forever and always. He let her follow her dreams and he never gave up his either. It was so much emotions and roller coasters. Very well written

Thanks to the entire team. I wish for them to be in more dramas together.

Good one

The reason I chose to watch the drama was Wei Zhe Ming, and my decision did not go in vain. The story revolves around a boy's 11 years of unrequited love, and when he gets a second chance, he seizes it without hesitation. However, the girl remains unaware of his feelings for her. It's a simple yet intriguing story. It's often said that a man's desires never stop, and although the story has a happy ending, I still wish we would have seen their children. I also enjoyed the stories of the other two couples.

Beyond your typical C-Drama

I did not have much expectations when I decided to watch this drama since it has been a while when I added this drama to my watch list. I love the actor Miles Wei/ Wei Zhe Ming and I have watched multiple of his dramas especially in the genres I love.
At first I was a bit thrown off with the english title but I decided to give it a shot, and it surely did not disappoint.

Proceeding to the actual contents of the C-Drama: I really love how well rounded the drama was made, it is not your typical drama storyline. It was able to tackle beyond the love story of the main leads, and brought in other important factors which help create balance within the story. The drama does includes tropes but it also does not skip on tackling real life problems and scenarios where we can see how the different characters handle and process these situations. It also includes scenes where characters start questioning and initiating conversations on topics that can be difficult to discuss but are important. I also enjoyed watching the different love stories within the drama and the character developments of each character.

This drama is a must watch and is now part of my top chinese dramas that I have watched throughout the years. Will for sure rewatch this again

My new favorite modern adult romance!

It exceeded all my expectations—easily becoming one of my top 3 Chinese dramas of all time!

1. My Favorite Adult Romance Trope

The “he fell first, and fell harder” trope is one of my all-time favorites, and You Are My Secret does it beautifully. Ji Yuheng has loved Xiaoning since high school but kept his feelings hidden. When they reconnect as adults, and she’s single, he doesn’t hesitate to pursue her without the typical push-and-pull drama. Their story is heartfelt and real, and I couldn’t get enough of it.

2. Perfect Screen Time Balance for the Main Couple
Although there are three couples in the story, Yiheng and Xiaoning absolutely steal the show. Their love story progresses slowly but steadily, and it feels so rewarding. We get just the right amount of moments to see how much Yiheng loves Xiaoning, and how Xiaoning gradually returns his feelings.
The second couple, with their "enemies to lovers" dynamic, is also incredibly satisfying. This is the first time I didn’t skip over the side couple’s scenes in a Chinese drama, and I’m so glad I didn’t! The third couple adds a sweet "second-chance romance" layer to the story.

3. Office Romance Done Right

While office romance is a fairly common trope, it never fails to capture my attention—especially when it's done well. In this drama, the main couple isn’t caught up in childish “hide and seek” office drama. Instead, we see how they handle their professional lives as boss and employee, supporting each other and growing together. It’s a mature, realistic portrayal of love in the workplace, and I loved every moment of it.

4. The Harmonious Asian Family Trope

It’s refreshing to see a drama that flips the typical “headache and annoying Asian family” trope on its head. You Are My Secret offers a comforting portrayal of supportive families. Xiaoning’s parents are more like her best friends—laid-back, understanding, and always in her corner. While Yiheng does face some family challenges, the way the story resolves them is so satisfying and beautifully done.

5. Fresh Perspective on the Loan Department Job Trope
I’ve seen the whole “bank loan department” trope before, especially in You Are My Lover, Friend, but this drama brings a fresh perspective. The work aspect isn’t too heavy or overwhelming, and I was still able to understand the characters’ roles and challenges. It’s a nice balance between realism and entertainment.

6. A Beautiful 32 Episodes

You Are My Secret offers a smooth, 32-episode journey with no unnecessary drama or misunderstandings. The main couple resolves any issues quickly with great communication, and I love how they manage to separate their work life from their romantic one. It’s not easy to act professionally while living together and being colleagues, but they pull it off beautifully. I’ll definitely be rewatching this comfort drama. It’s a solid 10/10!

Great romance and relationships

Before starting, this had already some trope and actors that I liked, it was already a win. Light watch full of romance

The good :
- Great chemistry between the leads, the kissing scenes were decent
- good characters
- healthy and strong relationships, lot of skinship
- I really loved the development of the relationship between the leads.
- I liked how it’s started, them being suitable partners and deciding to get together and spend their life together. wish I could find a good men and do that ahaha
- no breakup or any misunderstanding/problems really. A bit at the beginning, but that’s understandable even if FL annoyed me a bit for like 1 ep? The leads were together from like the beginning to end
- both had flaws at the beginning, but they helped each other and grow together
- both have such good and supporting parents, that was truly refreshing. One of the really good point for me. That was so good, no annoying parents. I like how both their families were spending time together.
- The acting was great. Mainly during the parts of ML’s mother death, both actors acted really well. I cried too. The secondary actors were good too.
- I liked the friendship between FL and her best friend. I still remember went she throw up on FL’s ex and she said « trash on trash » that was such a good line to me ahah
- I enjoyed the work place, the plot and the work at the bank actually interested me
- I loved the evolution at work, at first the employee who didn’t like ML and everything. But later on how everyone became friends and supportive of each other. Rao and Zhao being good mentor to FL
- the relationship between FL and Rao Jing was great
- one of the things I love the most is definitely the relationship between Rao and Zhao. I absolutely love this couple and to see their journey as coworkers teasing/bickering to married and parents. They were funny and entertaining. Amazing chemistry and I was always waiting for their scenes. I knew from their first appearance they would become a couple. At least they didn’t get together to late (ep 24 ?), I think that was decent (sometimes feel like second couple can get together pretty late) and no breakup
- third couple, felt like filler, wasn’t much interested in them, but I didn’t skip them. their relationship was doomed a while ago. I’m not a fan of ex trope, but they were still cute, they gave of a good kissing scene too. As their story was progressing, it was getting worst, the issue was to big. She really made an effort to make it work and accommodate herself to his way of living… I was on her side at the end to be honest. I didn’t like how they made them meet again at the end of the drama, this relationship will never work with their social differences and their respective family
- good happy ending
- I absolutely love the music
- the epilogue at the end of every ep were cute, I liked that
- FL’s ex was only present a little at the beginning

Negative:
- I still would have liked better for them to be married from the beginning, that’s what I expected from the sypnosis, that was misleading. They only got married at the end. But it was still good how it turned out
- could be a bit boring, but it’s the same for every drama to me, nothing can be completely perfect without any boring moments
- the annoying girl who liked ML was so annoying and delusional. thank got she wasn’t present for many episodes and we didn’t see much or her, her screentime wasn’t much. And her trying to screw FL at work didn’t work
- Now, I don’t mean the fact that ML was in love with FL for like 10 years… even if it still a bit wth but I feel like it was a bit much. Him leaving when she got a boyfriend, checking up her social media for 10 years sometimes, then oh, he saw she’s now single, return to China and organize to finally get is chance to be with her. Plan everything to meet her, looking at her from afar at work and blah blah blah it had a bit of a stalker vibe ahah but like anyway, bro loved her so much and FL didn’t seemed bothered when she found out. I had to say it

I recommend this drama

Don’t know if I should mention this with this review or if there is a different page, but the special ep was disappointing for the leads. It was perfect for the second couple, but they went and made it regarding work for the leads. They could have give us kids or something else

Don't waste your time. Nothing special about this drama. Boring as hell.

You Are My Secret is a modern business drama about Tu Xiao Ning and Ji Yu Heng. In it, they enter a fake marriage to avoid being pressured by their parents into getting married. They worked together in the same company, so they had to hide their relationship from their co-workers.

I dropped it after 13 episodes because it was so slow and draggy. Miles Wei is being cast to play the same role. His onscreen chemistry with the FL was not great, either.

The script was so boring, and the acting did not excite me to continue.

Synopsis: The lobby manager, Tu Xiao Ning, who works on the first floor of Huayuan Tower, is in a crucial probation period. Ji Yu Heng, a talented young man working on the seventeenth floor of the tower, is a rising star in the business. They share a common desire to get married as soon as possible, and this is where two parallel lines intersect. In Xiao Ning's eyes, Yu Heng exceeds expectations as a marriage partner. In Yu Heng's eyes, the youthful Xiao Ning once illuminated his life, and marrying her is his only firm choice. As the two muster the courage to establish their marital relationship, Yu Heng unexpectedly becomes Xiao Ning's superior. Through a twist of fate, these childhood friends from ten years ago are in a dual relationship as colleagues and newlyweds. They work together to explore the meaning of marriage and life, a journey many of us can relate to.

My Reviews:
1. This drama is so bad and boring. The plot is stupid, and the main CP's acting did not excite me enough to continue.
2. It's a typical genre that Miles Wei has been in, where he plays a nice and lovable guy.
3. The onscreen chemistry between the Main CP is non-existent.
4. I have watched 13 episodes and am dropping it because it is boring.

Overall, not good. I give it a 4.5 rating.

Female lead's voice

I really wanted to get into this because the male lead is one of my favourites but the female leads voice is really annoying. I dont know if its her natural voice but I dont like how baby-ish it sounds. Its like nails on a chalkboard for me. Dropped at episode 8.

Btw...I understand that a lot of cdramas like to have their female leads voice sound "cute" but there are only a few female leads that can pull it off for me and the one in this show is too old to be putting on that voice

Awfully bad actress

Reasons I dropped this series:

1 I'm sure I'm missing something but it's the first time I don't like a drama that is high rated. The main reason is that the actress isn't cute or pretty enough to pout and play the romantic comedy heroine. I found her very bland and fake. I also found that from the first minute I've seen her I wanted her to fail. Never felt that before.

2 The chemistry between the leads wasn't there. I've seen the male lead actor in several dramas and here he had the worst chemistry, actually, he had none, with his co-lead.

3 The first episode was the worst I've ever seen. So cringe. Who does that in another couple's pre-wedding party. I hated every minute of the party scene.

Assistam!!!
